After two unsuccessful attempts by a different repair service to address the check engine light and ECM issues leaving me unexpectedly stranded by the side of the road, my SAAB was towed to Valet Auto Service. The tow truck driver stated that “ALL SAABs go to Dana! If he can’t fix it, nobody can.” And that proved to be absolutely true. Not only was the correct Engine Control Module (ECM) ordered specifically for my year/model and installed, the former catalytic converter still under warranty was replaced in the nick of time. Dana also fixed a very annoying rattle, all with diligent, knowledgeable SAAB know-how! He’s a perfectionist and very passionate about SAABs, having repaired strictly SAABs for more than 40 years. My SAAB runs like a new car, even though it is 11 years old. SAAB owners are fortunate indeed to have an appointment with our rare SAAB Technician, Dana. He is constantly busy, so do show consideration and a bit of patience as SAAB owners are certainly receiving the best work, advice and honesty!

Dana is the best Saab guy around. I don’t know if I keep driving Saabs because I can’t part with them, or him. Always straightforward, high quality work, and has the best interest of you, and your car in mind.I know I can always trust his advice, implicitly.

Dana is one of the honest and most knowledgeable auto service companies in the area. He truly cares about the cost of repairing a vehicle from the customers perspective and what it takes to fix the car the first time correct. I would highly recommend him and his staff to get your car serviced.

As usual Dana fixed my car very quickly and he knew exactly what was wrong with it since he was able to diagnose it over the phone and my local mechanic was totally wrong. He got me out of there on time and my car sounded like it just had a quadruple bypass and its still running really great. I dont even live in Tucson but hes the only mechanic I would ever take my car to.

Here I am giving another review three years after I wrote my first review. Well Dana talked me into buying ANOTHER saab. He did NOT have to twist my arm. Now I have 2. I love both my saabs and I only bought the newer one because Tucson has Dana. He is an excellent mechanic, very honest and he takes really great care of my cars. I have tried driving other cars and they pale in comparison to a Saab. Thanks to Dana I can drive my saabs for a long time. Ive had the red one for 17.5 years (bought it new) and the black one for 2 months. They are great cars and he is a great mechanic.

I called to get a quote on my part in utah...and told them where I am and turns out they knew Dana by name.....scary...and his doesnt overcharge and is very nice. Oh and to the guy that gave him to stars after he fixed and diagnosed your car correctly.....you can check online on your own recalls...why should he know every make and model and year recall. Seriously put blame where it is due....now Im going to check my recalls because if you dont learn from other peoples mistakes it makes you an idiot.

The staff is real friendly, seem to know Saabs well which is what made me a little upset. Overall I enjoy my experience except this one point. I took my car in to see why check engine light was on. I was told it needs new I.D.M, throttle body, transmission and motor mounts, and radiator flush. None of which were inexpensive. Not really knowing what any of these did I asked what is the most important to replace first since I couldnt do all at once. I was told to do the I.D.M. Turns out there is a factory recall on the I.D.M which them knowing Saabs should have told me about, so I could have got that done for free and paid to get the throttle body done, but all my money at that time went to getting the I.D.M fixed. Needless to say, even though Saab said they could give me a refund for what I paid for them to fix, it may take 3 months for it to come in. Just feel a hey these cars are known to have a recall on this part would of been the right thing to do which would of allowed me to take care of the other parts and I could of had the car in great shape. Now I must wait 3 month and hope nothing else is affected. Besides that I feel they are a good company and I will continue to use them.
