Like all half price books its basically heaven on earth. Very wide selection of just about anything you could want. Check their online stock though, their inventory is much larger than their shelves make it seem

I went in to sell all of the books I decluttered from my collection (which was the VAST majority of them). I had a great experience. Only took about 40 minutes for them to go through and tally an entire trunk full of books (like, my car trunk. Not a suitcase trunk). Came up to just shy of $50 for everything but honestly thats what I was expecting since most of them were OLD. Like 60s cookbooks and 80s scifi novels.

Another great book stop for my lists. I live in Texas and Half Price Books is a staple down there. I was happy and surprised to find this one nearby and the staff is amazing, as they are everywhere else. Cluttered and chaotic but dont really expect much from them. They do over charge for some of their out of print editions of things that I can find on the shelf at other stores for half their prices. Definitely do your research before buying!

Amazing. So many books so little time. The prices are affordable and in great condition. The space is bigger then it looks. Its clean and organized. I cant wait to go back!!!!

They have a section for used video games. Nothing against selling at full market value but also nothing exciting either. I wish they would lighten up on the prices so people could get excited to find a deal like customers do with books. Its as if they searched for the highest price and go with that. Otherwise, just sell it on eBay. Theres no upside to buying here since theres not a bargain to be found. Id rather support a local retro game store if full market value is the asking price.

Super awesome bookstore. Books arent always new and in good condition, but thats because theyre used. Honestly, Id rather come here first than to somewhere like Barnes & Noble. On top of that the employees are super nice.

Discovered by chance, this bookstore is a marvelous place for used books, from precious edition to novels, with an excellent selection for cinema and art books. Prices are super attractive and the booksellers are nice and helpful.

A fun place to browse for books. Unlike other thrift stores that sell books, they try hard here to organize and provide recommendations. The variety of books is hit or miss, so its more effective to find books to read than to find a specific book. There is also a decent selection of board games, movies, music, and memoribilia.

Vintage candies and really good fudge. Ice cream as well.

Dont expect much payment for what you bring in for sale. Give them to Goodwill.

I have been going here fur last 10+ years to buy and sell books. Very fair price, knowledgeable book sellers, good collection and ambiance. Good restaurants nearby to make it a complete visit!

They offered me $6 for three books. And one of the books is worth $250. Sure it wasnt in the best shape but it wasnt in bad shape at all. My feeling is that she thought I didnt know what they were worth. Plus the other two were worth 20 to 40 dollars a piece. Just saying

It is a fairly small HPB but has all the categories. Kids books were on the lighter side.

I love half price books. I went in today for 3 books and came out with 15. That always happens. But considering Im pretty sure it came put to only about $3 per book, Im not mad! This place is my guilt pleasure.

I went to there store in Seattle a lot until it closed. The 1 in Lynnwood is easy to get to. Lay out and service are fantastic. Large new and used books along with used CDs & DVDs. Love this place. Also if you have an item you can call ahead to see if they have it. They will hold it for you or mail it for a small fee. Once again Great place.

There are plenty of reasonably prices books and cool memorabilia here. I prefer small owned book stores compared to major brand stores and this one is on my go to list.

This is one of my favorite places. The people are always nice and friendly. If they dont have something youre looking for a day will check and see if they can get it from another store for you also

Half price books is the place you call first to get hard to find or reasonable priced books for your own interests. They still sell DVD,s, Compact Discs, Records and even a small selection of cassettes for music. Good luck and happy reading.

Love this location!! The staff is always helpful and the stock tends to be interesting and well organized. The first thing I do is check the sale rack in the back of the store; sometimes youll find gems.

The employees were not considerate of the customers time AT ALL. They were chatting away rather than counting our books, we ended up being Not to mention we brought 4 decently sized boxes of books (at least 100) and they gave us $7. SEVEN DOLLARS. Go elsewhere or just keep the books at that point.

This might be my new favorite location of this chain. The staff is enthusiastic about books and very helpful. So even though they didnt have the book I was looking for (not really their fault), I highly recommend this bookstore if youre looking for a place where the employees love books as much as you do.

Great atmosphere here. Low key service staff who let you browse to your content. I like the vintage book shelf and the two center bookcases where they have miscellaneous items.

Hard to find local parking. Limited selection of DVDs. Great buts on childrens books. Half Price on paperbacks but if you cant get the better price at Costco it is worth checking out. What makes this place special are the unique side items, memorabilia, cards, posters, and knowledgeable employees. This store is the Trader Joes hires in book store environment. Quick, professional, and they know their stuff!

Half price books is the first place I go to find biiks and DVDs. The staff at the South Center store are friendly and very helpful. If something isnt in store, ask. They can probably get it within a couple days with complimentary phone call when it gets in.

I love Half Price Books. They have a great selection, and most books are pretty much new. The staff are super friendly, and the overall store just has a great vibe. And the clearance section has books that are 50% off the original price, which makes it 75% off the booksellers price. Also a great place to sell books. They give you cash!

Always can find good deals on books here. Largest used bookstore in the area with best selection. Theyve come the through a few times with some books I was having a hard time finding.

Decent. What you see is what they have. I do enjoy purchasing books at reduced prices. You cant find every thing here but with enough hunting you can generally stumble across what you need.

I would not recommend selling books to them. I went 3 times with about 15 books each time. The first time they offered $9.50, which seemed a little low but I excepted. The second time the offered me $2.50! I thought that was incredibly unreasonable but perhaps they were just not good books, so I accepted anyway. The third time, I looked on Amazon to guage the sales price and popularity of the books that I was bringing. I made sure there were good books. This time they offered me $1.50! I didnt except the offer, I prefer to donate. I am definitely not going back... not to sell, not to buy.

Great place to find books & other items at low prices. I found an awesome book for my daughter. I also found a 10 foot charging cable for $6! Cables this long are usually $20-$40 at Best Buy. And on top of all this, I also found a weekly/monthly planner for less than $10. Definitely a place to come to if youre looking for books at discounted prices. They dont carry the newest books, but there are still amazing finds here!

This is a great branch of Half Price Books! They get a ton of stuff here, and I always find something new and interesting on every visit. Ive been shopping here for 20 years...so Id call that consistent.It is easy to sell books, but just know you get almost nothing for most items. Theyll give you a receipt you turn in for cash at the front counter. You must have ID.This location has large sections for every genre. The childrens and art sections are nice. The comic section is strong. They also get a lot of collectible stuff here. Check the cases at the counter and a second area by the buying counter.Parking is usually bad out front. Look in the back - there is a back entrance and theres always parking there.

Its a quiet, small and cheap version of your neighborhood used book store. Its good for those time you dont want to pay full price for the reading materials that you kids really want, but will finish and discard within a week. Low cost investment into enabling their interest in reading anything.

A good selection of mostly used books very well organized. If you are looking for a particular book it author, you can find it quickly or know it is not there. If it is not there, often they can get a copy from one of their other stores. Good service from a knowledge staff.

I love going to Half Price Books. You never know what treasures youll find. I always check the DVDs, craft books, and the clearance section. I did pretty good this visit. I got a hard to find DVD, and a few items in the clearance area. The store is always clean and the staff is friendly.

Really friendly employees and I really good deals

This store is a great place to find used editions of just about every book I look for. Particularly helpful this last visit was trying to find (and finding) a book Id been looking for but was no longer in print. Online prices were over $100 and I fortunately found it at HPB for under $20. Above and beyond that, the folks working here are a hot to do business with and they are also awesome folks to just chat with. Its also nice to know they pay enough attention that they recognize us when we visit. I love this place.

Ill be honest, I dont really buy physical books unless they are cookbooks or travel books, but Half Price Books usually has a good selection of both. The real draw is that theyll buy used books/movies/etc so you can recoup some cash when spring cleaning. You can probably sell things yourself on eBay for more, but who has time for that?

I cant rave enough about this magical store. I spent so much time at this store waiting for dinner at a place nearby.This place captured my heart. I like the staff and the range of humor and personality, the board game options, cookbooks, art books, coloring books, Funnies, records, comic books, toys, collectibles and so on.I cant wait to go back! This place is the ultimate hidden treasure in the South Center area. Im buying a lot of my niche gifts for friends here.

Generally the best place to buy or sell books and materials. Some stores let me keep what they say they dont need. Then I can donate to my local library. However now many of the stores will only pay me for all or nothing. Then they donate some and recycle the rest they cannot use. Id rather do that myself and maybe sell those others elsewhere.

This place was great! Neat variety and I found the two books I was looking for. One was the most current release and the other was a release or two old, but the book has been in print for years, so very happy with the finds. I literally saved over half price, as I had gone there directly after Barnes and Noble😆

Great place to buy books. Also outstanding DVD collection and Blu-ray collection. Also youll find the coolest birthday presents for cheap here. I will say the staff can be hit-or-miss when it comes to knowledge on books or other things but overall great place great staff great prices what more can you ask for.

Fun place to browse for books but a terrible place to sell your books. Even though I never expected much, I was always unpleasantly surprised and felt ripped off each time I sold there. Thats disappointing because its a interesting place to shop. But its like they know they have you over a barrel. Try selling online or give your books to a good charity thrift store.

Always lovely. It was almost closing time when we came in but the employees were as friendly and happy to see us as they always are. They offered to get a book transferred in for me that they didnt have, I didnt have much time but appreciated the offer. I always love browsing their selection.
