Took riding mower in for service -- appears drive belt is slipping on steep hills. The Pit Stop quoted two business days to review & quote a repair. I waited 7 business days with multiple calls, but still have not received an estimate. The mower was inspected, but root cause of issue could not be determined. Upon a second diagnostics, they found a terrible noise from the rear end transmission -- this was not there previously. I picked up the mower, refusing their services. We had to push it on the trainer due to the concern of the noise. Upon unloading the mower at home, fragments of a torn up penlight (flashlight) drops out of the back of the mower. The mower runs quiet again, and I mowed the front lawn without the noise. Unfortunately, it appears fragments of the penlight are still on top of the transmission causing. The reverse level is no longer working.Terrible customer service.

. . . I brought my Craftsman push mower here for repair three (3) weeks ago after my first attempt at a repairman fell through, claiming he could only fix lawnmowers with a Briggs & Stratton engine and the second repair shop down the road had customers backed up for weeks.(Lawnmower Pit Stop came as their recommendation.). . . Nevertheless, although communication with mechanic Anthony via text message was straightforward and to-the-point, I only wish they wouldve approached their service delivery and call-back times in the same manner. Initially, we were told via staff and shop owner Maggie, that once a lawnmower is received, it would take 7-10 business days to make a formal diagnostic. Fair enough. --->>>Granted: Not to make the actual REPAIR, but to merely diagnose it. Albeit in the last week-and-a-half, either I, or my mother, have had to call the shop to inquire of status, updates, etc; when we were informed that THEY (Lawnmower Pit Stop) would always initiate contact with the customer.. . . This past Tuesday, after already having had my Craftsman in their shops possession for two weeks, my mother called - again - to inquire a second time as to where our lawnmower was in its diagnostic stages. Maggie, who appears to be a sweet lady, told her she would push up our lawnmower in line for an actual diagnostic . . . AFTER having it for two weeks. Finally, on Tuesday, we were given an official diagnostic as to what needed to be repaired, what parts were required and had to be purchased to make said repairs, etc; Naturally, Ive had excellent lawn care from a professional service in interim whilst awaiting these repairs. Still, nothing beats having access to your own equipment.. . . Every business has its own policy and protocol depending on the service(s) they provide/offer. However, a customer also has the right to expect a repair, if in fact it can be repaired, in a reasonable amount of time. My Craftsman is due and scheduled for pick-up this Monday; which makes almost three (3) weeks theyve had it in their possession. I find this to be rather lengthy and extensive.(How long would it have taken had our Craftsman not been pushed up in line?)Again, knowledgeable staff. But they MUST improve on (prompt) service delivery time from initial intake, to formal diagnostic and actual repair. Two stars.**UPDATE: There were promises continually made from owner Maggie that a new air filter could and would be purchased within 24 hours and all repairs would be completed this past Monday.(Air filter repair was diagnosed in the TWO WEEK diagnostic I waited for.). . . On the contrary, air filter was allegedly on back order, and Miss Maggie didnt even have the common courtesy to text, call - NOTHING - in the five (5) days between Wednesday and Monday to alert us that this part was not available. (Last Wednesday being the final time wed spoken to her in person.) Ultimately, I just decided to purchase an air filter off of Amazon and do the installation myself. There is NO sense of vigilance or honoring deadlines at Lawnmower Pit Stop.-- Dr. M. R. This place is like a breath of fresh air for me after almost two years of dealing with our other local X-Mark dealer. The staff is so friendly and accommodating. At the other other dealer I’ve had to wait for service about 15 to 20 minutes while three men took care of one customer and no one took care of me. Went to Lawnmower Pit Stop to buy a belt and was so impressed by Maggie! Excellent customer service. Recently my husband was out of town and my mower needed repair so I called Maggie and she made arrangements for someone to pick it up, fix it and then return it the very next day. I never even had to go into the store! Just paid the man that delivered it! Best customer service ever!!!

Poor customer service. They fixed our mower last month, and just a few mowingslater, it is smoking again. Called them up, and owner said we didnt want to fix it the 1st time you brought it in.Why didnt she say that BEFORE I gave her $400. dollars????She is not right in the head.Wont bother with them ever again.

I have taken our riding mower here on a few occasions for annual tune ups and other repairs and they do very good work plus I believe they will shoot you straight on their opinion about what it needs or if its worth repairing. I read a lot of the reviews prior to going here and took a few of them with a grain of salt. Mowers are typically abused, I know Im not dainty with mine so sometimes the truth about its condition isnt what you wanted to hear but Id rather hear the truth than some BS and just get it fixed up and thats exactly what they do.

I needed a pulley for my mower...her computer was updating so she gave me the part so i could get my mower running and just took my phone number so she could call me later with the price and i could pay for it. Not to many stores would let you take a part and trust you to pay later...great customer satisfaction...

Worst experience. Office was very rude. I paid 50 dollars for a belt, put it on cut half the yard then it broke, took it in, office said they dont replace parts that werent installed by them. No where on the receipt was anything stating such and most businesses in America replace their products. Will never return there to buy anything, dont recommend anyone going there
