For the first time I was trying to shop at your jewelry store, while there were 2 clerks on and one obviously helping someone the other seemed to be doing little. Shortly after we were waiting two other people came in one of which was quickly served by the member of staff standing in the middle of the store doing little.My wife and I were planning on replacing my lost wedding ring and buying her a new matching one to my new ring choice. But low and behold because we were a couple with kids and not dressed well to do we were dismissed as potential customers and ignored in favor of better dressed customers.So now will have to find a ring matching the one I planned to buy at your store or have it custom matched elsewhere due to your staff financially profiling customers.

Was having trouble finding something and instead of store employees asking if I needed help they instead were rude and made jokes about me and laughed in my presence. One even literally pointed me out to a fellow coworker and and said this one. Dont know why they have a problem with fat women when half the store employees laughing at me were bigger than I am.

Overall decent place, but there is a rat. A really fat one. It lives in the cosmetics section of the store. Its one of the largest rats Ive seen in my life. There are traps in the area, but the rat has gotten so big that Im afraid those measly traps wont do anything to it. It wont be able to fit in the other traps either. Good luck..

Always find what we need here. Sushi is made to order or call ahead to pick up. Great prices.

Sushi bar is very unreliable. Some days they will have sushi, other days the whole bar will be empty. Very inconsistent. Also, their Mobile App doesnt work INSIDE the store ... only outside of the store, which is dumb.

You can pretty much do all your shopping in one place here - clothing, groceries, electronics, jewelery, pharmacy, home and auto and gardening and with a Chase bank branch inside. They have an above average selection of vegan/vegetarian options but locating what you want can be challenging. Most of it is located in the health food section but then you can randomly find other items spread out around the store. If it werent for that, Id give this location five stars.

At night, they close all of the registers but one as well as all of the self checkout stations. Can easily spend 20 min line...

This University Place Fred Meyer is very nice,clean organized well stocked with friendly service.You can do all your shopping here and good low prices.Pharmacy,Starbucks,Chase Bank inside.Very good garden center.Better than other FMs in the area,worth the drive.

First the parking lot is small and parking is tight. Today they were rearranging the store hopefully to make the ilses wider because its a cramped store. It is clean and they have a decent selection of vegan products.

I like shopping this Fred Meyers because of the cleanliness in its Deli and produce section. I don’t feel afraid to eat food made or packaged by their staff which is extremely important today

Easy to find what youre looking for

I came in earlier tonight to pick-up from the pharmacy and then went to the electronics section for a data cable. I received excellent customer service from the young lady who was working tonight and she knew exactly where everything was. I came to the store twice in a row and she was on top of it both times. This was on Feb 22, 2021

The best Fred Meyers in this region! Always clean. Employees are super friendly and knowledgeable. The workers are so great that it carries over to The Chase Bank where their service is also exceptional. I drive 20 min out of my way to just to go this Freddy’s.

Best Fred Meyer in the region. I especially appreciate the wide selection, plenty of dairy-free items to choose from. The Pharmacy is great as well, I get my flu shot here every year, the pharmacists are always very good at administering.

This store is out of the way for us, but I come here often because its the nicest Fred Meyer in town. They also have a better selection than at the 72nd street store. Clean and bright, with a great deli counter, Starbucks in the store.

Rats! When my mother-in-law saw a foot long rat climbing up a pillar. She alerted the nearby staff member who also saw it told her that one is just a baby. Just imagine what the bakery, deli and produce department at night. Ew...

This place is like paradise, compared to Lakewood Safeway (on Gravelly Lk Dr).

I went for a money order and the customer service desk didnt understand thirteen eighty meant $13.80 and took out over a thousand dollars from my account. Neither of us said one thousand so I didnt catch her mistake until she gave me my receipt. She barely apologized and then laughed about it with her manager. Because it was a money order it couldnt go back onto my card so I had to be given cash that I had to then go deposit back into my account. Fortunately I had money in my account but she took out majority of it and had I been in a less fortunate situation she would have overdrawn my account. And she found that prospect hilarious. Extremely disappointed and upset with them. Be sure youre VERY clear about how much you want otherwise theyll take out all your money! Had she actually been apologetic and took it seriously I wouldnt be writing this review but considering she thought possibly overdrafting someones account as so silly I felt the need to do this.

Their self checkout machine froze and the staff could not reassure us that we would not be charged twice on our cards after they failed to fix the problem and suggested we rescan everything.

Came there FM Bridgeport yesterday 01.20.2021 (Thr. ).Went to deli to get a snack waiting a very long time ( this time was around 11ish). I ended up going to self check out to request to talk to store manager . Problem not resolved I lost my appetite and jus went home minus snack. Deli very poor customer service

First time back in the store for two months and I had the exact same problem Ive had for months on end before the virus, since Kroeger took over Fred Meyer. Did not plan to buy curtains but when the sign said they were half off I spent a lot of time thinking about what could work for a room I need some in. Also took some time to pick out a new pot for a plant in my home. Since there was a coupon for $10 off if I spend 50, I spent more time choosing some hand garden tools to top up to $50. ... its almost impossible to track whether or not youre getting discount as the clerk runs the items over the scanner. You have to wait until everything is completed. Well sure enough when I looked at my receipt at home I realized I did not get the sale price on either the curtains nor the plant pot! So now I have to go wait in line again at customer service to return everything because at this point Im not even going to bargain for what I should rightfully get as a discounted price. This has happened so many times and each time I say I am not going back but this time for sure Im going to return everything and call it quits! I submitted a comment to Kroger at one point and never heard back. Ive also talked to the manager at Fred Meyer and he didnt have much to say. Too bad because I really like so many things that they have but their prices are way more expensive than other stores unless you get things on sale. Bye-bye Fred Meyer!

They must get a lot of shoplifters in the store, because the secret shoppers an employees were behind my shoulder in every aisle. Most uncomfortable feeling trying to shop for necessities.

I just wrote a review for my local Freddies here in Lacey, WA but also wanted to write one here because this store helped me out as well! I have wanted this coffee table and end table set for a long time and Freddies had 25% off furniture. They also had this advertisement for an additional 20% off if you download the coupon to the Fred Meyer app. I was elated because Im on a budget. Sadly, the Lacey store did not have the end tables so I called around to many stores to find that this one had 3 in stock (YES!). My daughter lived near by so she travelled there to get them for me.Well when I paid for mine I found out that the 20% off coupon was not good until this coming Friday! I felt like such a nerd and was going to have to put it back, but I asked the manager in Lacey if she could make and exception to which they did! (Love you Lacey Fred Meyers!) . I contacted my daughter who was in line and told her what was up. After speaking with the manager at this location, they to went ahead and made an exception! I cant believe it! I am so happy you have no idea. Thank you Fred Meyers at University Place! You truly confirmed to me why I dont shop anywhere else. I am forever grateful for your kindness!

I used to love to shop at the University Place Fred Meyer. But not anymore The remodel is horrible. The produce section is a mess. There is never enough produce out. The layout of the store is stupid. They did away with the Nutrition section. Now I have to search all over for the items I nedd.I am no longer fond of the University Place Fred Meyer. 😥

I love this Fred Meyer. I live between 2 locations and both are about the same distance from me, so I visit them about the same. I have never had a bad experience here. I love the fresh sushi bar. I frequent it. I also love the new section they added in the meat section that is a quick meal idea. Although when I was there today, it was completely empty. I hope they are not getting rid of it. I have made some fantastic date meals with their selections. My favorite is the spicy ravioli. Its pretty spicy, but so fantastic! It can get pricey, but I have loved everything Ive tried.

Thus particular Fred Meyers has always been one of my favorites. Even when there is a lot of people in here they are able to get you in and out rather quickly by opening up Lanes or directing you to one that has little or no wait. They have a beautiful selection of produce and since this one is a complete Fred Meyers it is definitely a one-stop-shop. Always a smile and a helping hand you will find at this store. You can even get in and out of their customer service for money orders and check cashing rather swiftly. The store a little ways up the road could take a lot of lessons from this one.

Fred Meyer is my favorite place! They have EVERYTHING!!! Ive purchased recliners, clothes, shoes, curtains, groceries! Theres a Starbucks inside! I love living nearby I think I make 3-4 trips a week. I am really digging their new Dip clothing line. It definite is a one stop shop. Great prices, they have a great reward program that saves you money on gas. Not really sure what I would do without Freddys!

Was at the University Place store earlier today. Super disappointed in the number of customers who did not wear masks. In addition, while I was waiting for my turn at the Deli Meats counter, I observed a worker Eric who was wearing his mask well below his mouth and face, essentially not wearing it at all.As much as I know it is everyone’s responsibility to do what is right, Governor Inslee shared that as a state we would me moving to a mandatory mask inside of public places. Clearly this was a breach. I wonder if, instead of offering seniors a time slot to do their shopping, if we couldn’t offer those who chose not to wear a mask an hour a day to do as they wish. The majority of us who are wearing masks would like to get this over with as well, and unless we follow science, we will forever be held back by those who only think of themselves.

Horrible service. Waited for a half hour to get help. Even asked a worker and all she could do was snap back and say thats not her problem because its not her department.

If I could I would put zero Stars the staff is rude and disrespectful the manager literally walked outside came to the back of my vehicle took a picture of my license plate and went back into the store acting like I was stealing something where I stole something now when I went and confronted him he didnt say he said he didnt you say walk to the end of the building but where my car is parked is not the end of the building if he was walking to the end of the building he would have stayed on the sidewalk and not walk into the parking lot behind my vehicle take a picture brood and horrible customer service and then threatened to call the police on me so I took a picture of him because you took a picture of my license plate

They would not honor my rain check. They conveniently forgot to scan my coupons and loyalty rewards at check out. Then I realized the cashier kept my soft reusable grocery bags. I had to return to the store for a price adjustment and my bags. This entire cluster took 20 minutes to resolve. My rain check was never honored.

Been to Fred Meyer Lakewood a few times over the years. And although i havent always found the associates so helpful, I still shopped there from time to time, even though I find it pricey compared to other, better stores...Today however, was a horrible experience. I tried to go through the checkout and the associate who was there was very rude. Not only did she not acknowledge me initially, she then asked rudely Are You Ready? As if I was a nuisance. She took my small cart with my 2 small items and put the items in a bag. She looked in my cart to see if there was anything else, like I couldnt be trusted to put all of my items on the scanner. I then asked her, Is this not the Self checkout? And I told her that I can scan and bag my own items. Thank you very much. She then gave me a rude glance and walked away... I watched her after as I waited for a friend to finish shopping. She didnt try to check other peoples items or look into their cart. I feel that she targeted me as if i was going to shoplift or something. Which is 100% absurd. Not only do i have a job and my own money, i was dressed decent as usual. And Id be willing to bet that my wallet alone, cost more than her recent paycheck. There was zero reason for that treatment... She was a middle aged caucasian woman with Crispy, dead end, blondish hair. She wouldve been at the self checkout around 9:15 a.m. Saturday. March. 2. 19...With a miserable look on her face to match her unattractive personality... A good number of the cashiers need consistent further customer service training. Customers come first. And being Biased should not even be present in that environment or anywhere... Period!!! Ill gladly give my hard earned money to a store that deserves it from now on. DO BETTER FRED MEYER LAKEWOOD!!!

Very nice atmosphere at UP. Great selection. Didnt notice any roaming criminal types or shoplifters as is normal at the 2 Tacoma Fred Meyer stores. If youre out of money, just shoplift at 19th and Stevens. Not a problem. Heck, you can even order custom deli food to go. Just smile and walk right out. Oh, and No panhandlers at the UP store. Nice and clean. Plus plastic bags. That alone is worth the extra 8 miles RT to shop at UP. Im quitting Tacoma ghetto Fred Meyer.

We went to the Garden Center today. Lovely plants, flowers everywhere. Found everything we needed except they didnt carry the smaller bags of mulch. They only had the huge ones. Overall I would rate them 4.75.

I have always loved Fred Meyer....unfortunately since Kroger acqiured it, it has steadily become not so fun anymore. Many of the Kroger products that I have tried are not great.....and I have gone back to Safeway and Whole foods. I asked where the organic, whole chickens were and the meat man said they were no longer carrying them and in their place big, fat doughy looking birds I wouldnt feed to anyone.I loved the one stop shopping, but offerings of many products are being discontinued.😥Mr. Fred Meyer is rolling over in his grave!!!!!😐😐😐

The fresh salad bar and olive bar makes for an easy dinner which is great! It would be nice if they had a larger soup selection. The Starbucks inside is great too they just always seem to have only 1 person working so its slow going.

All in all a normal day of grocery shopping. One thing I notice is many people asking where an item is located. The upper signs are great but not enough. My suggestion would be to have a computer in a few spots around the store with a simple search feature where clients can find items faster. Might be fun for some.Thanks Bob

This is one of the nicer Fred Meyers in Tacoma. The deli is larger than most and it is more recently updated. It is better lit and laid out than most FMs in the area. They also carry more gourmet and natural food products than other local FMs. There are certain drinks, cheeses and magazines I can get here I cant get at other area FMs.

Literally the best staff for any business that Ive ever dealt with. With the exception of one time they are always friendly and helpful. I left my 20 bucks at the self check out by accident when I got cash back and they were able to get it back for me 5 days later! Thank you all for all that you guys do!

This is a typical Fred Meyer. Everything from clothes to shoes on one side to auto, paint, bed/bath even a fairly decent furniture selection. Their grocery section is about what youd expect, however the deli, bakery & Butcher block are outstanding! They have amazingly good choises in all 3 places.including (but not limited to) fresh sushi, awesome muffin topper cookies & even fresh Buffalo cuts!! Go in & give yourself a little treat!!

This is my neighborhood Fred Meyers and so the location I go to most frequently. We have never had anything less than pleasant customer service experiences, and the customer service floor team is especially great about reaching out to customers when they are near them or if someone looks lost. Speaking of lost; Ive noticed the layout of this store seems a little wonky compared to other Fred Meyer locations. Instead of having groceries in one end of the store, its blocked out into the middle of store separating the clothing and hardlines. It would make more sense to put all the groceries on one end. I forget that they even have clothing because I enter from the opposite end of the store and the deli/bakery section acts like a barrier wall in front of the clothing. Its just a really uncomfortable flow, and honestly it keeps me from shopping this store as much as some other local stores because its somewhat difficult to find what you are looking for. Also, as a company wide suggestion, communication about how the rewards card could be a bit better. I just found out last week after using the card for more than 10 years that the reason we never see any rewards is because it requires notification in the mail-- we had never added our address online so we werent receiving the coupons we were eligible for. We would be more likely to shop more with all Fred Meyers if we had known we were missing out on so much. Thanks!

Totally unimpressed with the remodels in all FM stores. All youve done is double the length of the aisles by removing the cross aisle in the middle. Apparently you think forcing people to walk twice as much aisle will increase your sales. Not interested. Ill take my money elsewhere.

The store was clean and well stocked. The employees were friendly and helpful while I was shopping. Checkout was very slow. They only had one lane open for people with more than 15 items. A lady BEHIND me complained to someone at the customer service desk and they came over and opened s lane for her. Seems to me I should have been serviced before her. Anyways, the clerk I had was very nice- tall, young, good looking black man; I think his name was Dontae. I had over $150 in groceries, he did a great job being careful with bagging my things. However, I was not asked if I wanted help out to my car. When I left the store, there was a lot clerk right by the entrance, he seemed to be on his phone and looking at the carts next to the door. After I got all my groceries in my car, he came out and retrieved the two carts, mine being one of them, from the cart area next to my car. Although it was late in the evening, I feel he and the cashier should have offered help out to my car. It also seemed to me there should have been more checkers, the lne behind me was about five deep when I left.Thank you for having a great store to shop at, just wish checkout was better.

The look of the store is nice but out of 5 of the workers I encountered 3 of them werent helpful at all especially Micheal who works in grocery. Very unprofessional attitude.

Have always loved Freddies until recently. Deli department doesnt want to help customers and the Pharmacy staff is borderline incompitant. Getting anything from the Deli has become a real chore. You must wait until a staff member wants to help you and then they act like its an inconvenience to get anything. I have sandwiches made a couple times a month and they ALWAYS act like its the worst chore in the world and take so long making them I feel I should have done it myself. Now mind you, they offer these products why is it so terrible to ask for it? Why cant things be ready so the customer doesnt have to stand and wait 20 minutes or longer for two sandwiches? Management needs to train staff so this could flow more smoothly. The Pharmacy cannot seem to get my order right no matter how I give it to them. Why dont you try communicating with the customer! I know you try to streamline things but it is not faster and more accurate! I try to pick up my prescriptions at one time so I call them in and then I call and check to make sure they are all ready, and then I go pick them up and one is not ready. Why tell me they are all ready when they are not? Get your stuff together! Im tired of having to make numerous trips because of YOUR error, not mine. I find them uncaring and worthless.

Fred Meyers has gone to the saving card mistake like other stores. I avoid stores with the card. This was my favorite place to shop, but now I guess I will go back to Walmart. I hate Walmart. but right now they are winning.Update: I stopped in for some quick items. They dont accept Google Pay. Talk about outdated business model. There registers have the ability because they use Kroger Pay. I dont want to download something that only works in your store.1 star stands.

This is a very nice Fred Meyer location. The aisles are spacious as well as the layout overall. I am generally pleased with their competitive pricing and variety of products offered in each area. Their Ckicklist feature is by far my favorite dwlivery/pick up service as it is so convenient as a busy mom of 3 and is the only option I have found that honors valued customer discount prices, digital, And paper coupons. They also price match any replacements needed which you also may or may not authorize. Im a happy customer and this brand works well for our family of five and our budget.

Five stars for the cashiers. Minus stars for newly implemented digital dowload coupons. I quit shopping at Safeway years ago because many of the BIG sales prices required their store card. Now Fred Meyer shows BIG sales prices with the caveat that I must have downloaded the coupon and a limit of 5). Grocery shopping is stressful enough without having to take action before I even get to the store.

Check your food for the expiration date. After their remodel I noticed all the food I bought is going to expire with in the week and to think they arent noting this for everyone and putting a discount on the almost expired food which theyre suppose to do at least 25%off or let you know. All their meat and baby food and dairy products are going bad and they have it on the shelves for full price.

One stop shopping. Its one of my favorite stores. They making checking out very easy unlike some stores that make you wait in long lines. Friendly and helpful staff.

I have never been more disappointed in a Fred Meyer. I will never go back to this location. Several weeks ago I went to this location hoping to use my Fred Meyer rewards and several coupons. The checker rung up my purchases and completed my transaction without asking for my coupons or even telling me my total. She then just grabbed the coupons from my hand and rung them up for cash without any apology. Today my husband went to return some pots we had bought because the price posted ended up being incorrect and they were much more expensive. The customer service rep gave him a gift card instead of cash, without even asking how he would prefer to be reimbursed. Ive had great experiences at Fred Meyer up until this point and will continue shopping at the store. However I will NOT be going back to this location. The service is absolutely terrible.

Great one stop store. I can usually get my shopping done here at good prices. Ive tried the Walmart down the street, but I find Fred Meyer has a better selection and much friendlier employees.

Ive been going to this Fred Meyers for over 10 years and the service and staff are usually very nice and friendly. Many of them are professional but some of the new younger ones dont understand how to bag groceries and throw canned items on top of tomatoes and put eggs in bags with soup which I did not appreciate. Maybe some training is in order.

This Fred Meyer is very well kept and offers a variety of goods selection. Although the parking lot is big, it is very confined in certain areas and can be somewhat difficult to maneuver around. Overall, this is a great Fred Meyer store.

I like it because its a million times better than walmart! It has groceries and everything else you might need in 1 place. It has a garden center, hardware, camping stuff, and clothes. What more could you ask for. The sale prices are great and you dont have to have their card to get sale prices. What you get with their savings card is money back.

I love how big it is. Fred Meyer is my favorite place to shop because of the availability of everything and the rewards. This particular Fred Meyer lay out is so difficult to get used to because it makes no sense and they Never have clothes my sons size. But the staff is nice and eventually I find what Im looking for.

This is a huge fred meyer store from home goods to bananas you can get it all here. I was happy with the deli and their varied selections. The store was clean, well lit, and easy to navigate. Staff was polite and eager to help. This was a great stop during our travels.

The good: If you need it, they probably have it, and there are always sales happening. Checkout lines are rarely too long as there are an abundance of them. The bad: Their parking spaces work if you are built like Flat Stanley. Otherwise, you will pull muscles getting in and out of your vehicle to avoid dinging your car door or someone elses.

I have shopped at this Fred Meyer location for years. For the most part my experiences have been positive. There are a couple checkers that if given a choice I will not go to them for a variety of reasons. Last evening there were only 2 regular lanes open. I chose the one with the checker who I knew to be efficient and friendly. Unfortunately after Id already placed my items on the conveyor belt, someone else took over for her...specifically, Lisa. She is one of the 2 checkers I would never choose to go to. There were literally lines at both lanes going down aisles and Lisa took her sweet time getting ready to check out the person in front of me. She appeared to not have any awareness of the lines and was visiting with the person she was checking out and taking longer than usual. A woman behind me and I began discussing our long days and how we just wanted to get home. I even asked one of the lane coordinators if they had several people call in or something as they usually dont have lines like that. Apparently I was overheard by the checker and she took offense as she began to passive aggressively stare me down and she began to take even longer checking out the person in front of me. At one point I exclaimed to no one in particular, Oh, come on!. Lisa continued to stare me down as she slowly folded items and placed them bags for the person in front of me. When it finally became my turn she did not utter one word to me. She packed items in bags haphazardly; chips with milk, cosmetics with meat, etc. She literally THREW things into the cart; some without a bag. I did not say a word because I figured I would just go to Customer Service afterward to complain. When I approached Customer Service and asked how I could complain, I was given a blank stare so I informed the person that checker on lane #4 needed to go home, stay home and never come back. I made it very clear that Ive never experienced such rudeness and complete lack of professionalism at this store.Upon leaving the store, I ran into someone who had moved my the line I was in to another. We discussed the checker and both admitted to not willingly ever choosing her lane. It appears we both have experienced her in the past. Thats 2 people.....I can bet there are many more!I encourage this location to take a long look at this employees attitude, lack of professionalism as well as her wild hair down to her knees that she flips and runs her hands through and then touches items being purchased. That just cannot be considered sanitary. I realize Fred Meyer is part of a Union so if this person has any tenure she is using it to her advantage and probably doesnt care about anyone but herself. But if she doesnt have tenure, Id highly recommend she be given the boot.

I like Fred Meyer. Food is expensive no matter where you go. When you have sales and coupons is when you save a lot. Employees are also very helpful. Fred Meyer is selling clothing called Dip. Cheap, cheap, cheap. Wash in cold water and line dry, clothes get out of shape. Dont buy DIP clothing. UPDATE: I have noticed prices are up to make up for remodeling of their stores! Arent prices high enough!!!! Also Fred Meyer might go on strike. Think theyre union contract is up. I dont know what their wages are, they get raises and prices go up again .

The customer service is great and knowledgeable. The store carries organic and store brands and products. Theres always someone available to assist you, unlike other stores where you have to track down someone. I have access to other grocery stores nearby but my husband and I prefer to shop here.

The employees are the most helpful. They are usually very fully stocked and staffed. The prices are more expensive than most places. However the quality, and service are worth it

My first time at a Fred Meyers... I was pleasantly happy. Im used to King Soopers in Colorado. Im glad I still have the same shopping experience here in Washington.

Fred Myers is our go to grocery store. Its prices are ok, its staff always friendly, and provide short wait times. Sadly they are moving to a different location very soon.

Nice store. Great layout. Always has what ok want. Has in-house sushi made on-site. Oliver bar and salad bar are great. Butcher is always helpful.

My favorite Fred Meyer! Its always clean, has friendly employees, and is in a better location in my opinion. If I cannot find something at Target or on Amazon, this is where I will go.

The best grocery/general store there is in the area! The staff is super friendly and helpful. The selection is really good---produce, wine, meat, etc.
