The folks at Harbor Greens, especially Scott and Erica, did me such a solid when I needed a quick gift for a friend in the area. I currently live abroad, so had no way of picking out flowers and treats in person, but Scott went above and beyond to give me a video call and helped me pick some beautiful tulips, wine, and baked goods for my friend to pick up. You cannot get that kind of service from a big chain store, and thats what makes Harbor Greens so special!

Its a small market fresh fruits and vegetables, meat counter, deli. Local deliciousness. Employee are friendly and helpful. However its pretty pricey.

What a little neighborhood gem! Just moved into the area so shopped by for a quick bite and some grocery shopping. John at the sandwich shop was so kind and so helpful. It’s such a friendly atmosphere, he practically knew everyone by name!! I’ll definitely be back for another of their yummy sandwiches. Highly recommend “the warrior” and sitting on their little patio for a quick little lunch break!

For those that have slept on Harbor Greens, dont wake up!! Lol I LOVE this small cozy store! The quality of meat, fruits and veggies and seafood is top notch!! This is the store that makes the saying, you get what you pay for...as in, because this is a quality grocery store, you get quality groceries!! 👌 ❤

The guy at the deli counter seemed to not understand I didn’t want to give my phone number for his rewards program. After asking me numerous times my answer became more direct. Of course that hurt his feelings and and suddenly I’m the bad guy. My attempt to smoothie things over was met with a “whatever”. Actually bud, listen to the customer. I don’t want to join your sandwich club or share my phone number. How many times do I need to say that? I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Great service at the deli counter! I have a lot of food allergies and the deli team went above and beyond to make sure I could have an allergen free sandwich.Jay and John were very, very helpful and kind. They even read the ingredients of several items to me and showed me so that I could ensure it was safe. Thank you! (And thank you to the woman who made the sandwich, whos name I missed.)As a person with allergies who has a hard time finding accommodating places that I can actually eat at, I highly recommend this place! So helpful and great! And they didnt make me feel like an inconvenience for my allergies.

Lots of positives! Really great local place to shop for your groceries and much much more. They have really good pizzas and one of the best sandwiches in town if not the best sandwich shop in town. You also have great wine selection and meat selection tons of great organic veggies and fruits. Staff is very friendly and always willing to help.

We go to Harbor Greens several times a week. Love the deli sandwiches, produce is always nice, butcher shop is great. We bought our live Christmas tree there, too 🌲 Staff has always been pleasant. Perfect little neighborhood type grocery store.

Harbor Greens in UP is my favorite first stop shopping. The produce and meat are beautiful. Customer service is always a 10 but today it was an 11. I called the meat department and asked if I could get some airline chicken cut. The young man said butcher had stepped out but he’d look it up and do it for me. I wish I caught his name. I got there 15 minutes later and it was done. He genuinely was thrilled to have learned a new cut which made me happy for him. THANK YOU! You substantiated Harbor Greens UP is the best.

Excellent neighborhood market. Can buy single beers, amazing sandwiches in the deli and top quality and well priced meat. Good wine selection too. The produce is also both priced well and amazing quality. Can even pick up an Xmas tree in winter!

They were all friendly and helpful. We got sandwiches, which tasted amazing. I got The Green Monster with no tomatoes. Im very happy we went there for lunch. Got some interesting sounding cheese. Not sure what to do with it but Im excited to try it. Got a pair of funny/ironic socks, all in all, it was a good experience. The sandwich was quite large, but that didnt bother me, it was delicious.

Very expensive products that can be purchased elsewhere for a lot less, but there is a lot of unusual things that cannot be found anyplace else

This is a lot like the WF store down the street from this location. Expensive & high quality but on a small selection of foods. The deli is really good though and pizzas arent bad. Best part is the meat market butcher.

Harbor Greens is a great local produce market but they have so much more! They have an amazing butcher counter, a deli counter a lunch counter and their take and bake pizza is fantastic. I fully recommend you stop by and take a look

Great looking (and tasting!) produce as usual, customer service is efficient and friendly, store is clean and beautifully laid out. Trust the signs, if they say sweet carrots, or amazing grapes, they taste sweet and amazing or crunchy or fresh.

I love it there. Pricy but the taste and freshness is well worth it. Everybody busy and not making you feel awkward shopping. With that being said its a good around the corner market for fresh food, sandwiches, and fruit and veggies . If you full blown vegan/ organamaniac🤣 not too much of a selection.

Great local grocery store with the best deli sandwich shop inside. My favorite is the Green Monster and it is probably the best Veggie sandwich in the entire state of Washington. If you are ever in University Place or Gig Harbor, make sure you check out the neighborhood grocer, buy a sandwich, soup too when cold outside, and shop small.

Harbor Greens is a gem of a local grocery store. Its a smaller footprint and its rarely crowded so its great to get in and get out. Friendly, helpful staff and wonderful fresh produce, many upscale, healthy or niche products, an actual working butcher block for fresh and custom meats and deli-pizza dept with soup and salad for onsite or take away. Im unable to comprehend why people are standing in line and dealing with crowds at the nearby TJs (which is a nice store) with this hidden gem. But I guess thats better for me, fewer people and faster shopping.

Was at a volleyball game nearby, and needed a few things for lunch. The store is very nice. If I had more time I would have enjoyed the prepared food in the cafe type area inside the store. All the people working there were very friendly and helpful. I found most things I needed. I would give it a five, but the selection was very limited. Would recommend.

They sell expired food that should really be thrown out. Produce is often not even usable and I have to throw away as they already should have done. They put old expired food on an advertised flyer to make some money rather than putting it in the garbage, where it belongs. Recently bought oysters from the reduced freezer, not realizing that it was already rancid. Will never go back. Totally unethical establishment

Its a smaller market but they have a lot of items. Their produce is excellent and their meat department isnt as big as Tacoma Boys but its really good. They have a lot of organic, vegan, and specialty items. Really excellent options if youre looking for the best or something different. Wine and beer department is great. They have a few beers on tap to fill growlers. Love coming here.

Best place to buy a tree that isnt a tree lot!

Right now they have trees lined up all around their parking lot and entrance for the Christmas season. All the staff that I encountered were very welcoming and pleasant! The store is very clean and organized. I purchased a sandwich, I believe it was called the Warrior. It took about 10 minutes for them to make the 2 that I ordered with a friend, and we both enjoyed them very much. Prices are fairly high compared to what else is out there, but Im sure they make do because of the area.

Wonderful place. Freshest of produce and they know where all the meat is coming from. Prices arent low, but they are fair, and when they have a sale, boy, they arent kidding. You can walk off with bags of stuff for the freezer when that happens! The employees are always helpful and they have the best pizza money can buy.

I love Harbor Greens! I shopped in their Gig Harbor store and was so excited to know they opened a store here in Tacoma when I moved over here. Their meat market only sells quality at affordable prices and their fruits and vegetables are locally grown. They offer so much more but the best experience is the friendly employees

Friendly store, not huge but a great selection for the footprint. Staffs super helpful. Good deli, kombucha on tap. Very much in to the seasons, beautiful trees at Christmas time. Can eat your food inside or in or out in the Summer. Beautiful hanging baskets in Summer and a nice assortment of plants.

I love shopping at harbor greens, great customer service in the meat counter, the deli, and people in the produce department when you need them. The meat is fresh and mostly butchered on site. The deli clerks know the ingredients in their in store, prepared daily salads and ect. All produce is fresh, beautiful, and tasty. They even have markdown produce available for $ 1.00 that is perfect for use within a day or 2. Overall, its a great shopping experience.

Clean, friendly staff, and an array of nice products. More expensive than that massive chains for identical products but the profits go to a local family rather than a behemoth corporation. Produce, meats, cheeses and generally all products are of higher quality than the large groceries. Prices are better than Whole Foods and dont have the smugness!
