Our side mirror was badly scraped on a concrete pillar in a parking garage. A competitor quoted over $2000 saying the mirror needed to be replaced. Service King quoted $675 to repaint so we decided on that route. When we arrived for our appointment, however, Amy suggested they try just buffing it out and it turned out amazingly well and resulted in zero charge! We were delighted and impressed with Amy and Service along! We will be a repeat customer for if we need body work in the future.
My insurance recommended me service king to fix my car. After everything done, they call me to pick up my car. When I go pick it up, one guy told me bumper not fix it yet, they need to order it online for me. They will call me when it arrives. So I drive my car home . After 1 month, I still not receive any message from them. So I stop by their store again. This time was a different person who serve me. She check my receipt and take a picture. She say she going to send it to my insurance company and let me wait. Another month later, I still not receive any message again. Another thing is their skill very poor. I can see lots of defect in my car.
Very helpful! We left our hotel with a very low tire on our rental car. We stopped in there to ask if they would air it up before we hopped on the interstate. The gentleman was quick to offer us help! Thank you for taking care of us!!
Love this business! They fixed my SUV after hitting a deer. Thousands in damage and they still blew me away. Professional, efficient, and great communication. They filled me in on my vehicle during the entire process. Never been treated so good! Also, the GM Stacy is fantastic. Highly recommended.

As like many in the area, my fiance and I had hail damage to our cars in July. The processing of getting in for an estimate was easy, no issues. After the estimate, all of the problems began. Service King never called us to schedule an appointment, so we followed up with them 1 week after the estimate. I was told both of our cars were near the mark of being totaled and we should talk with our insurance. We spoke with our insurance and they said no your cars are not even close to be totaled - damage was only in the 50-55% range, and to be totaled it needed to be at least 75%. We called Service King back after talking to insurance, and the gal at Service King refused to schedule us for our repairs. They said the vehicles should be totaled, and they also said the insurance agency needs to pick up some responsibility here and help them( them being Service King). However, thats not how insurance works. After much back and forth, and the insurance agent intervening on our behalf, we got appointments scheduled. We were also told by Service King they would only work on a vehicle up to 3 hours a day - which seemed odd, and thus would take 4-5 weeks for repairs. Because of all of this, we ended up taking our vehicles elsewhere for repairs, canceled the appointments at Service King, and had our vehicles repaired and back to us in less than 2 weeks. I do not recommend Service King, as you will just be bounced around/not given a straight answer, and not given quality service.
Would definitely recommend. While the bigger corporate company itself was not very kind and kept hanging up on me, this local business was nothing but wonderful to work with. All of the workers were kind and efficient. They even gave me their email addresses to interact with so I didnt have to deal with the bigger corporate people. Totally would go there again.
Similar experience to someone else who posted 3 weeks ago:Took my car in for assessment after hail storm. Initial rep who did the assessment was super friendly and helpful. Guy informed me of the damage on the car, stating right then that most of the damage would probably be repairable, but that the hood was badly damaged and would “definitely need replaced”. I was told they’d pass along the quote to my insurance provider and myself within 48 hours.I got the quote, and noticed that every panel of the car had repairs quoted except for the hood (which is the most damaged part of the vehicle). I was sort of confused, and called the shop to make sure I didn’t miss something on the quote. They confirmed that “oops we must have missed that because the assessment we have on file has REPLACE written in big letters on the hood”, and said they’d “unlock my quote with State Farm and get the hood added”.Email came through from insurance saying new quote had been received. Logged in to take a look at the estimate, and Service King added literally .2 hours of labor and no parts to “replace the hood” ($10.50). Obviously that was not an appropriate amount to estimate for replacing and paint matching a hood to the vehicle.I called back and spoke to another person in the office today to inquire as to why the updated quote was only $10 more for a hood replacement. The rep informed me that they often “just give a ball park until the car comes in for repairs”. I asked if I could have my estimate updated to accurately reflect the damage to my vehicle so I could make an informed decision about repairing my vehicle. The rep flat out lied and told me “the quote is locked with your insurance and we can’t edit it”, even though yesterday the rep did it no problem.Ball-parking an estimate makes sense in the situation of collision repair where additional damage may be discovered while disassembling the vehicle. For hail damage refusing to give an accurate quote so a customer can make an informed decision about whether or not to repair their vehicle is incredibly shady and wrong. Will not be doing business with this company again.
Service King is top notch when it comes to fixing and painting cars. I happen to be a auto painter myself. And even taught others how to paint cars. I hope to never go back to them again but if I am in another car accident, this is the only place I will consider.
Thanks for taking care of our daughters car; when another insurance company was trying to total it out for a lower offer you found a way to get her car back to her; which is what she wanted. Thanks for going the extra mile to make this happen. You all are awesome!!
I was scheduled on Aug 17 for hail repair, I went there and they told me it had to be postponed due to backlag and how theres a lot of cars with same issues. Told me theyre going to send an email for the date and it will be on September. I called them because its already september and I havent gotten an email yet, they didnt pick up and the ones who picked up the phone was Champaign branch. Now they set me up for an appointment finally, but now its scheduled for Feb 2021. Are you kidding me???????
I do not write reviews often, however when I do it is because of the amazing quality of service I received. The general manager Shane Dittmar gave me the best customer service I had ever received in my short 19 years of living. He had strong business ethics that I did not expect from an auto service. I would highly HIGHLY recommend this place for all auto services due to the professionalism I encountered with Shane Dittmar. 10/10
We were very impressed with their attitude and support. We were from out of town, so Christi looked over the damage to our vehicle, made sure it was road-worthy, and got us on the road. We appreciated the assistance and sincere concern for our safe travel. Very helpful!
I did not end up getting my car repaired here after a snowy night suspension problem and a run-in with the concrete median on the interstate deployed my airbags but was impressed with the kindness and assistance of the employees. Stressed and not knowing what else to do, I had my car towed to Service King. The employees at Service King were honest about the cost (their estimate cooresponded with fair market estimates) and were very kind in guiding me through the best course of action going forward. The cost of repair for me was greater than I could afford, my insurance policy covered nothing, and I ended up having to sell my car. Even though the situation was far from ideal, my experience was positive and I really appreciated their kindness. While I know more now about the costs of repair, and hope not to get in any collisions in the future, I would bring my car here if the situation arose.

Service adviser Brandon Back went above and beyond the call of duty to provide the best deal for repair cost while taking care of all the contacts and details with the insurance company of the individual that damaged my car. Brandon was friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and communicative keeping me informed regarding the timing of the repair and the situation with the insurance company. I dont know who the repair technician(s) was/were, but my car is better than new with an excellent paint job...no one would ever know that my car had been damaged. I wouldnt hesitate to refer others to Service King of Urbana. Thanks for a job very well done!

Incredibly slow. It took them two weeks to fix the bumper on my car and then the day it was supposed to be done,they called and said it would be another three days. Everyone is very polite, but just slow.I previously only gave this business 2 stars. However, when I went to pick up my car, the management did a great job of explaining why it took so long to finish my car. The work they did also looks great.
I was somewhat frustrated at first that my car would take long to get looked at... but it was understandable considering recent hailstorms that backed up all the rental and service shops. The start to finish repair process was otherwise smooth. Recommend Brandon!

I highly recommend Service King and just one of their many talented repair specialists, J. Morrison. He definitely puts a part of himself into every job that is brought to him to ensure the customer is purely 100% satisfied with the labor and professionalism in which their vehicle body was repaired. You cant tell that a vehicle had been in an accident, maybe with the whole front end and quarter panel ripped off and so on after J. Morrison has delicately worked his magic. Very impressive!
Came in for an insurance quote for repairs after hail damaged my hood and side of my car... and the guy wouldn’t even put an estimate together and said that “hail doesn’t chip paint” dumbest thing I’ve ever heard as it’s chipped 2 of my cars paint so far. Oh well glad I won’t be giving them any of my business from now on.
They did an amazing job on my van and though it took a bit longer than expected I am very happy.

Great service! Didnt feel like I was walking into a grease pit. Lobby is clean, well-lit, and has a kids play area. Most importantly, free coffee! Very happy we picked this place.
They were professional and easy to work with. They did a good job. My brand new Jeep had a whole left side replaced and they made sure to check everything. They needed to fix one other thing afterwards but it was not a problem. They make getting and estimate easy and its free. This summer some hit my other new car and I am going back to them.Hertz however is another story. I would not recommend using them although they are on site. They charge by the day not the 24 hours! Plus they are only one until 11 am at this location. They were not helpful at all. I ended up getting a car that did not work for me too small, no head or leg room especially with a baby seat.
Miss Amy provided phenomenal customer service over the phone. Her knowledge and understanding of my predicament was outstanding. She provided me with information that Im sure was outside of her job title but was very helpful to my situation. She not only went above and beyond to answer my questions but also provided answers I didnt know I needed. I look forward to my appointment with them in the morning. Thank you so much! Shady company. Has no problem ripping off their vendors so Im sure they are ripping off customers as well. I would highly recommend taking your business to a more reputable company.
Receptionist was very nice, the estimator Brandon was incredibly rude and unprofessional. To treat people unkindly, and without justification, is senseless.There are far too many options for repair, to subject myself to this type of treatment. I will take my business elsewhere.

2/20/2017 - this is an updated review to 5 stars.After my original issues I was contacted directly by the General Manager. He was genuinely concerned about the what I experienced. He worked out an arrangement to have all items fixed including more PDR work.Overall, Im extremely happy with the experience. Thank you, Service King.----- Original Post-----2.5 stars, really.Communication was difficult as I had to follow up multiple times after initially being contacted by Service King thru an insurance claim. While it took over 6 weeks to get an appointment schedule for paint-less dent repair work, once my car was in the shop the quality of work was good.I suggest staying on top of your contact and follow up any in-person or phone calls with an email.
I originally posted a not so nice review for Service King. As frustrated as I was, Mike was great through the whole thing. It took a little more time than expected to fix, but Im glad they took care of the things that needed to be done. They also helped me get a rental since I was out of a vehicle. Im thankful for Mike and the crew that fixed my car.
They were extremely professional and courteous when handling the repair of my vehicle and would definitely be an organization that I look to use in the future should I need anymore work on my car.

My experience as a bussiness owner trying to get a part for a vehicle sucked I was treated very poorly and got nothing but an attitude from the receptionist she acted like i was asking for her first born. They need to bring Paul Tatman back in there and maybe they will have better customer service.

I highly do not recommend this place. It has taken them nearly 3 weeks to make a repair that should have only taken them 1 week. Every time we were told the vehicle would be done, it wasnt. We had to call them on the days they claimed it would be done. Poor service and poor communication.
