THIS PLACE IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE, I went in to look at a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox and was interested in it, I gave my information to one of the salespersons, I believe his name was AZ or something like that. I waited 3 days and never got a call, text or email back. Come to find out that the vehicle i was interested in jumped in price from $10k to $14k without my knowledge. I do not recommend this place for vehicles, also 2012 and 2013 Chevy Equinoxes are know for having major mechanical issues so I wouldnt be surprised if this place deals in iffy vehicles.

I didn’t buy a car there but a friend of mine did and wanted me to post this for her! She bought a 2009 town and country in March of 2019 and 5 lights came on the dash and the first repair was a week after she bought it and it’s been in the shop ever since and it hasn’t been minor things either!! Needless to say she has put over 1500.00 in repairs on a 5000.00 van that they said was fine! Very shady and no wonder their cars are cheap because they are going to bleed you dry in fixing them!! Don’t buy from them or else you will be broke

Absolutely awful service. Was told it would be no issue to get financed and if I had to I could do buy here pay here, without being aware they ran my credit, NEVER called me back for results, called twice and they were “busy” then finally I call again an I’m told I was approved ((not sure for how much because yet again he didn’t even let me know what kind or amount of loan he was trying to obtain))...however I would have to have $2,000 down... NEVER ONCE did he tell me that NEVER ONCE was I aware or kept up to date on anything. I do not reccomend this place to anyone. Poor customer service.

I got a Chevrolet Equinox 2014 from UC Auto in Urbana, IL. The car looked in excellent shape, even checked Car Fax records - all clear. The price I paid for was really a bargain. Thank you. Then I had my car inspected to get my own baseline info. UC Auto recommended me to M&B Auto shop in Urbana, IL, I was impressed with their mechanic, Patrick, who really did a comprehensive check on my car. And this mechanic is very honest and trustworthy with his deep knowledge with car problems which he shared with me.UC Auto is a very good car dealer. Their staff are very warm people and they show they care for their customers. Very highly recommended.

I nearly passed this place up on my trip to look for a new used car. Its small, and it doesnt look like much from the outside. But there was a car on their website that I was interested in, so I went ahead.Sadly, that car had been purchased, but I had a look around anyway. Im glad I did. They are very friendly and personable. The salesman who helped me gave me some good advice and was very straightforward. I found a cute little 04 Neon. Since there were quite a few miles on it, I wasnt surprised when the timing belt went out, nor was I all that upset. The good news about it, though, was that my mechanic gave it a good check-up and said I got a very good and clean little car.So, I think its safe to say that UC Auto is a win. They have a fairly small inventory, but that can be a good thing. I guess you really cant judge a book by its cover.

Awful awful awful... $9000 sticker on a blue book $5000 tops car. I thought he was way to quick to negotiate to what I wanted to spend, I could plainly tell it needed tires and brakes. On the way home from the lot 3 flats. 3 out of 4 rims cracked, engine light has since came on, and I am on reduced engine power. Bought it 3 weeks ago, and have never even been able to drive it. Warranty sure doesnt cover that (emissions) or the electrical issues. As a single mom I spent my last on something btaht isnti even road safe. Stay away.

Just purchased a Nissan Xterra. Ahmed and Alex, two of the salesmen, were very friendly, helpful and professional. I found the vehicle I wanted, took it to a Midas business, got it checked out and worked out a deal that I thought was fair. I was leery initially as I am when I approach any used car business about being taken. I guess that is the suspicious part of me. What I found was they were in the business of selling cars, not in the business of trying to sell me something that was faulty. As always, keep your eyes open, have an open mind and get your vehicle checked by a mechanic before you negotiate.

Called to discuss a car they had in stock. They wouldnt budge on the price even though an independent inspection noted a minimum of $750 worth of needed repairs, and $500 of that was to make it road worthy.They refused to even take my phone number. Not a good place to go if they are willing to sell you a $4000 car that isnt even safe to drive. I should have walked away as soon as the independent shop told me not to waste my time with UC Auto

Rip offs! I went there for a specific car. That was my fault. But the salesman said it wasnt there because it was being worked on when I found it sitting on the lot. I also found a Craigslist add for another car advertised there. The add stated nothing wrong with car and it was prestine. The body to the advertised car was so messed up and the motor knocked. Nothing wrong, huh? Then the salesman tried selling me a Toyota avalon. He also claimed nothing was wrong with it. The interior was of cherry condition. Nothing wrong other than could use a good dusting. The Avalon had a check engine light on and needed serious break work. Not only that you could hear the suspension when you drive. And there was a serious rubbing noise coming from the back in.

Horrible experience with this place... bought a car and just over a month it broke down and I’m told it needs a new engine! 15 fault codes were stored but not visible when I bought the vehicle! Seems like that was hidden by the dealer to me. Asked if they would do the right thing and put me in a different vehicle and got basically a big “we don’t do that here” the warranty they have is a joke and they’re giving me the run around so the time will lapse and they won’t be liable... cars protection plus is the warranty and UC auto is the dealer... DON’T BUY HERE!!! Learn from my misfortune people.... perfect definition of used car salesman tactics.

Very nice sails people, and they had exactly the car we wanted. However, the AWD had already a defect but the seller did not wanted to admit it. He was arguing, that a four wheel drive is always like that (slipping wheels in narrow turns). So we called a mechanic, just to confirm that the car needs to be fixed.Negative experience.

I would not recommend getting a car from here I have had our Nissan Quest for about 4 months and I have had to put in a little over a grand into it already and Im not even done with everything that is wrong with it. On their website they stated there was nothing wrong with the car but as soon as we got in it the horn didnt work and the check engine light was on. While getting them to fix the horn they disconnected the battery then connected it again to get the service engine light off, then proceeded to tell us a crazy story on how some gas stations have bad fuel and that may be why the sensor is on. The car started going into slip mode recently so we took to a Nissan dealership who found 3 major problems and various other problems. The 3 major were the cam shaft sensor needed replaced, the radiator and radiator cap needed replaced, and the top engine mount needed replaced...again just those 3 things have cost me over a grand. When presented with the findings of the dealership and the receipts to what we have already spent they acted like they were going to reimburse us back some of our money, instead they tried to get us to get the parts from the dealership that we have ordered and offered to put them on for free. Of course I said no, why would I take my car to someone who didnt catch any of these problems with the inspection they did on the car when it first came to their lot, or didnt see any of this when they had my car all day fixing the horn. We had also referred a friend to them and as soon as they got their car they had to get a new battery. Their warranty is a joke if you even get one. Buy at your own risk.

Do Not Buy A Vehicle Here! This place is a joke. I spent over 7 grand on a jeep. Conditions upon buying the Jeep was my air conditioning unit would be fixed by them. The deal was not kept on their part. I spent over 2 grand getting the unit fixed. And about another 3 grand on repairs alone in just a short 3 month period! Im getting a lawyer. Please save yourselves the time and go anywhere else!

This review is old, but needed to be told. I purchased a 2002 Nissan Maxima from these guys some years back while living in the Champaign area. Vehicle check engine light came on 2 miles out of the lot. I came back the next day and owner gave me the run around. Had me wait at his office for almost 3hrs without attending to me. Vehicle eventually cost me almost $1k for proper repair. These guys just reset the light, wash & clean, and hope it stays off long enough to test drive, get checked, purchased, and drive off the lot. Way to go ripping off a student.
