Life Proof vinyl flooring installed in 2019. Installed incorrectly not knowing of the right way which is why I had them install. Its already cracked and breaking away. Home Depot said its not under warranty and wont do anything about it. Now it will cost several thousands of dollars to fix. So upset. If it was done properly the first time the Life Proof flooring would be fine.0 stars wasnt an option.

Was in search of three mounting brackets for a drawer pull there were two on the shelf but I needed three. An employee named Mike asked if he could help and I told him of my situation, he looked and found that there were some in the overhead stock and got me set up and on my way. Very helpful, great experience on this trip.

Randal in the Garden Center was absolutely amazing. He gave me great advice on products and he even helped me load my bags of soil and mulch into my car. I was so impressed, I told all of my neighbors about his great customer service. I hope you are as lucky as me to run into Randal. If you need help in the Garden Center, definitely ask for him! Best customer service I have experienced in a long time.

Only thing I have to say is do not go here to order windows. We ordered ours back in 4/25 and they are still not here. Today’s date is August 8th. The first delay was Home Depot’s fault because they put the delivery address as our home and the window company didn’t want to deliver it so they marked the order as done. It took about a week of coming to Home Depot to figure out that the windows were never made in the first place so our order was reordered. Fast forward to August and the delivery date has been changed 3 times. They finally call us Friday (08/06) and tell us they’re coming Saturday at 9am. That time passes and it moves back to 2pm. Nightfall comes and the windows still aren’t delivered. Worst customer experience ever. Every time you call or come in it’s a different person just having no idea what’s going on. We will definitely be taking our shopping elsewhere from now on.

Purchased a dishwasher with install contract. Contractor showed up late and said we had to contract a plumber to put in the necessary junction. Never received a requirement on the contract for a specific junction and wasted 5 hours of a Saturday waiting for them. Still no dishwasher after weeks of waiting for install.

We had to purchase a new toilet. The fellow in the plumbing department was extremely helpful and knowledgeable with his products. I didnt get his name but want to extend my thanks to the person at the Urbandale Home Depot in Iowa.

Its a good Home Depot. Definitely above average. The store is always clean. Location is convenient. Sometimes they may be out of stock of certain products. I would recommend this HD!

It is convenient to our house so we inevitably go quite a bit due to their long operating hours. Employees can be real hit or miss; we try to go weekdays as there are some real gems that have been there for years. Weekends are avoided if possible as these types of stores are all pretty busy then. Parking lot entrance/exits require your patience. Took off 1 star because Home Depot would rather throw clearance/discontinued &/or return items away instead of donating to places like habitat rehab store due to liability... not cool in my book.

The store was well stocked. The staff was very knowledgeable and helped us find additional items we needed for the painting project. Highly recommend.

Just bought a new appliance here. The young lady who helped me was great. She was very patient with me considering my lack of knowledge and explained everything clearly. I will be going back to this Home Depot location soon for my next purchase.

This is a very standard Home Depot. Perhaps the only remarkable aspect of this store is the seemingly dysfunctional parking lot. Also they currently had the main exit of the store blocked off causing minor inconvenience.

Other home depots have been great. I went into this one looking for some trim. After the first employee couldnt didnt know how to look for more of the item I brought in (had previously purchased at HD) he pointed at the pro desk. Behind the pro desk I asked another guy (the one with the scanner) if he had this item. He said to talk to that other pro and went back staring at the ceiling. I waited for 20 minutes while the real pro helped another customer, and then finally I asked if he could scan the barcode on the item I brought. He did, said it was discontinued and in 10 seconds it was done.Im disappointed that HD doesnt train their employees to use a computer and I can understand that computers might be difficult to learn for this younger generation, but a little bit of effort at your job can go a long way for the customer, the employee, and the overall image of the company.

Nice store, the high school help could be better than pointing in a general direction.

I returned a Penske Rental truck and the people at Home Depot were very helpful.

Service has gone down hill. We went in recently to buy new kitchen appliances. The first time we were told not to buy them until theres a sale, which we didnt want to wait for because our current ones are breaking. The second time we were offered to help and were told to let them know when we figured out what we wanted on our own.Later we came in looking for outdoor storage for our patio furniture cushions. The app said they had 7 of the one we wanted and other options available in isle H1. We talked to three associates, none of which could find where they were.Its too bad since about 10 years ago I was able to get excellent service, even on Black Friday.

It’s a nice store most Home Depot’s are in order and clean.I think that it has most of the things home owners need for most repairs and improvements they have always treated me good but with the COVID-19 viruses last year most everyone is under a lot of stress and money is tight but in the last couple of years !! PRICE’S our way out of control seems it all started when the last minimum wage was raised awhile ago and now every company or business think that Society is loaded with extra cash.

On September 13, my family and I made a pit stop at Home Depot in Urbandale, Iowa in order to purchase a mosquito zapper. When we found the one that we were looking for, we proceeded to check out at the self check out line. We rang for the cashier so that I could have my military/veteran discount of 10% applied. When I provided my identification to the cashier, he informed me that my I.D. was not an acceptable form of identification. I informed the cashier that I have never had an issue with other places accepting my I.D. so why is it an issue here? Hence, this is why we never shop at Home Depot. At the same time, 2 aisles down, there was another veteran with his wife having issues getting their 10% discount. For all veterans and active duty personnel, if you need to go to a hardware store where the employees or leadership doesnt hassle you and accepts all forms of TRUE military identification and provides a BETTER discount than 10%...go to Lowes. They treat veterans/active duty personnel better than Home Depot. Their staff is friendly, helpful, and they truly express their appreciation for what veterans/active military have contributed to this country and society.

We bought a toilet here. Got it home the tank was cracked! We had no problems exchanging it. They had roses on sale for $5 I bought 6. So far they are looking great.

Needed a new stove, found one online but wasntavailable at the store I went to. Wayne helped me and he was awesome! He was knowledgeable but also kind and had a great sense of humor. Made the transaction simple and painless!

My first complaint is why do they have atleast 3 staff members in the front area and yet none of them can run a register? Its almost like they expect me to use their register to check myself out. Well if I have to go get my own stuff, then I have to carry it to the front, scan my stuff, bag it, pay for it, load it in my own vehicle, and then take it to where I am going to be using it, what do they have staff in the store for? A simple drone can unload a truck and put the merchandise on a shelf.Bringing me to the pro desk to be checked out. Why would anyone put a kid maybe 17 years old (Tyler) who cant tell the difference between threaded rod and anchor bolts on the pro desk. (10 minutes waiting and 2 customers behind me waiting.) It was faster for me to physically walk to the shelf to get a skew number then having a kid try to find it in the system.My second complaint: There was also the part of the trip when the response time is horrible, when I asked one staff member (Dan or Don) for an item from the top shelf maybe 15 feet in the air, he had to call out for someone else 3x, rather then to retrieve the item for me. Then that person had to find a ladder to get the item. (15 minutes waiting)Then the third complaint: The entire time I was in the store I was never even asked if I was in need of assistance, I had to track down employees for assistance. When we (my 2year old son and I) would pass a staff member, my son would always greet them and it was always ignored and he is not quiet and can easily be heard from 8 feet away.Luckily I have had better experience in this store before and know where most of the items are or this would be a lot lower rating. The staff use to be so friendly and helpful always going to get things I might ask for or actually walking me to an item and giving me a tiny lesson in the differences between multiple products of the same type and the benefits of one vs the other in their opinion. If they didnt know about the products they would call out to the area member who specialized in that area and they would meet us at the items.

The reason I gave them 3 stars is they say they will install but what they won’t tell you is they only install if your water hookup is on the first floor! When I called the store all they said they could do is give me $50. They will also tell you to hire a plumber to hook up the fridge for you! Worst delivery service ever! I will not order anything from them again!

Bare minimum. If you know what you need and youre going in and out, this location is good for that. Otherwise, there are better selections in other places.

I use the app in the store to find merchandise if no one is around. It’s always spot on for the aisle and bin location. Staff is always helpful and I had someone help me find a small item today. She was great.

Placed order for curbside pickup, called ahead to be sure it was ready. When I arrived, they had no idea what order I meant, failed to find the order twice, until I mentioned that the order number might help.On the other hand they were polite and showed good customer service, and apologized for the mix-up. With COVID, its nice to have the curbside option. (Just beat in mind its over at 6pm.)

The staff is always helpful and friendly and go above and beyond to make customers feel happy and satisfied. I love this place :)

Pretty good selection. I ordered a large number of lumber from online for home delivery because I do not have a truck. Most of the pieces were straight and usable for finishing my basement. The workers unloaded everything to my driveway and it was very convenient for me.

Charlie in curbside pickup was very kind and helpful getting our item to us. We ended up getting to the location earlier than expected and he was able to pull the product right away. Thank you for going above and beyond!

Placed an online order for curbside pickup since the item was large and heavy. I waited almost 40 minutes before an employee called to say they couldn’t find my order in the system. I went into the store and showed them my email receipt. They finally got it figured out, but then a male employee asked me if I had a truck to take the item home. I told him no, that I had a hatchback and that it would fit. He then proceeded to act like I was dumb because I’m a woman. (By the way, it did fit in my car, as I told him it would.) No one apologized for keeping me waiting or for the inconvenience - which made me very late for another appointment. I often come to this Home Depot but I’m really disappointed in the way that I was treated.

Didnt feel they had a diverse selection of brands on hand. Everything was clean and tidy though. I recommend this place to anyone trying to meet their home renovation needs.

I have had the most amazing experience. The absolutely best customer service from a Big Chain store I have ever had. Trisha at the Clive/WDM store and Monica at the Urbandale store could have very easily blown me off but they worked hard, used their critical thinking skills (hard to find in employees these days) and worked their magic to get me the patio furniture I wanted. These two ladies were excellent..

Im sure that occasionally the Home Depot has some useful items, but honestly, I generally leave there empty-handed.I know my way around houses really well. Have been in remodeling for over 20 years, and they rarely have what I need. The little things. If its not absolutely standard, they dont carry it. Zero specialty products of any sort.I did give it a 3-star rating because they have a very good tool selection, sandpaper, and good lumber.

Marilyn with Customer Service was a ROCK STAR! We came to her right at closing two nights ago with a request. As many might shrug us off to not able assist per the time and the lights going off in the store, she stepped up to the plate and hit a home run on our behalf. We could not locate what we thought was in stock there. She called another store and verified they had it in hand. She rang us our sale so waiting for pick up for us the next day at the other location. She was friendly and went out of her way to assist us. She made our week and I so appreciate her helpful nature that is so rare anymore. Thank you Marilyn!

Home Depot is one of those places that you always find things that you didnt know that you need as well as what you went for in the first place. Good selection of tools, building supplies, seasonal items, etc. Highly recommended. I will be back, probably pretty frequently too.

Greeters were friendly but other than that I saw over a dozen employees not even acknowledge me or other customers. There was a ladder left dead center of an aisle with no one using it either? Went to check out in the garden section and the two checkers did not greet and continued a personal conversation with me in between about one of their boyfriends. Luckily I didn’t need help this trip because I’m certain I wouldn’t have received it.

Super frustrated with the lack of response when trying to order a storm door from this store. Called to set up measurements, never called back, then cant start another order until I can get someone to answer and cancel. F in customer service. Would not recommend this door department. Going to Lowes. Real bummer Home Depot.

I run a small business and come to Home Depot regularly. During all of this Covid-19 stuff they have been absolutely amazing! The normal things I get done like wood being cut they have done for me and brought it out to my car without me ever having to step foot inside. They really go above and beyond for their customers!

Went to the Urbandale Home Depot and was surprised that not only were employees not wearing masks, they were not social distancing with customers or each other. I called the manager and was told they decided to leave that up to the workers. Only about 25 percent of employees wore them.Customers were wearing masks. It was very uncomfortable. They need to protect their customers.Not going there again during this. How many people have to get sick and die.

Go somewhere else, bad service. I prefer Lowes or Menards.

If youre looking for a kitchen remodel - go to another Home Depot or company. We tried working with Michael for a kitchen remodel. Michael lacked follow through as well as an understanding of our needs. Our priority was value. We wanted quality cabinets, but were price conscious as this isnt our forever home. He quoted us a kitchen that was over $18,000 whereas Lowes came in at $6,800 for the same kitchen. Almost all quotes we got from anywhere else were under $10,000. The only one above was a completely custom kitchen that was $16,200 and that included installation. When trying to understand the difference from other quotes, we notice that rather than a 36 wall cabinet we asked for and he quoted us a 24 and 15. This amounted to a $500 difference as it requires an extra frame.When we asked Michael to try to get us lower with another cabinet he told us that he was busy today and wouldnt be able to get to it in time for the sale. When I spoke with the manager, she told me that they wouldnt be able to help us and that we should probably go with another company. I would echo that recommendation to anyone looking for a kitchen remodel. Look elsewhere.

As far as Depots go, this one is what I would consider my home base. Much better for my needs than the other, lower depots.

Of the big 3 home improvement stores I shop Home Depot the most. Good quality products, in stock & good prices plus a lot of the staff in depts have worked in the field.

Its home depot. Almost got stuck in the plant department, automatic doors wouldnt open. Pretty sketchy few moments. Couldnt find bench top grinders. I recommend having the app before you go. It tells you where to find things.
