Poor experience with a service call. The tech was here for 3 minutes and told me he couldn’t fix it. After speaking to Nicky earlier this week I was under the impression it would be fixed. He said that he didn’t have the part. Nicky said exactly what everyone else thought, it being the bearing. What a waste of money because they should’ve been mentioned over the phone. I’m a little upset and think that was a bad business move knowing the part was needed, coming and charging me $50 for 3 minutes and not doing a thing.The tech was friendly and professional but it was a rip off knowing they couldn’t assist and didn’t have the part. Also been trying to call during business hours and nobody picks up. With my experience today I would not use their repair services.

Working with the person in the store is good, shes very nice and helpful. Waiting for something to be delivered is terrible! They gave me a day to deliver a washer and dryer, and I requested the following day. That should have been even easier to accomplish, but the delivery didnt show up. I called the store twice during that day, so they would know I was waiting at home, and they assured me that the delivery would be made. It wasnt. Now, they say they called me and didnt get an answer, which didnt happen on my end, and to make matters worse, instead of being first for the following day, they say it will be three more days before the delivery!UPDATE: Two men brought the machines, took away the old ones and set up the new (to us) ones. They were quick, efficient, and friendly! The new washer and dryer are working very nicely two days later.UPDATE: After three weeks the washer needed repairs and parts to be ordered. I have an appointment for the repair man to come and do the repair today before 10:30 am or after 5:00 pm. I have confirmed those times by phone multiple times. When I got home, I told them that if the guy calls in to tell him Im at home waiting. I was told that he works until all of the service calls are done for a given day.UPDATE: The repair call didnt happen, so were now waiting again since the repair has been postponed from Wednesday to the following Tuesday.UPDATE: The repair was unsuccessful and they recommended exchanging the pair for other machines. We picked out a slightly more expensive set and paid the difference. We worked with the store manager to ensure a smoother delivery this time, set for two days later. I cannot explain the lack of communication between the store and the delivery people, but none of the times, contact information, etc. that we gave and the manager suggested to us and subsequently wrote down got to the delivery driver. Were now waiting for a second delivery attempt the day after the first one. Getting so tired of the month-long ordeal of working with this business!

DO NOT BUY FROM THESE PEOPLE! their appliances are junk I bought a washer & dryer set literally less than a month ago and since I got it the dryer just randomly stops working or won’t dry my stuff all the way so I have to keep restarting it. Also they tell you 53 or 54$ down that goes towards the item your getting then you’ll find out when you go to make a payment they don’t put that toward your items, it’s an “application fee”. I was NEVER told about any application fee ever when I went up there. I was told the set I bought would be $430, well I ended up paying $520 which makes no sense but I went ahead and paid it off so I don’t owe this crooked business anything else more by doing payments for a year. They will never receive my business or anyone I knows business ever again. Highly do not recommend going here your better off buying brand new

If I could give this place a lower rating I would. I have a refrigerator from this place....the first few week it went out...had to wait til Fri for someone to look at it. Had to wait another week to get it fixed. Then one Sunday it went completely out....had to wait until Friday again to get someone to LOOK at it. Finally after I had to keep calling about a replacement, replacement is delivered on Friday...now I am missing time from work that I cant make up. Replacement redbridge wasnt in the house 24 hours before it started acting stupid. Now I am told Friday again. I have been dealing with faulty equipment since the word contract. I am paying for an item that I am getting nothing from. I have had food go bad that they wont replace. They got their money upfront so there is no rush to help the person who keeps them in business. Buyers beware.

BUYER BEWARE! Bait and switch. Dishonest and rude staff. Washer and dryer set bought in April, have had issues since the first week. These people sell absolute junk. Weve literally been told by others that we definetly made a mistake buying anything from South Georgia Appliance. Dont make the same mistake.

Bought a washing machine,from them, worked good for a while, then messed up after 2 months, but was still under warranty. Guy came fixed it,but something went terribly wrong. I called and explained situation, they replaced machine with another one of sane exact kind and even gave me a new warramty with new machine. I think that was awesome of them. Now lets pray this machine holds out!!

We just bought a washer and dryer set from here a few days ago. After waiting over the weekend for them to be delivered, we couldnt even use them yet because for some reason the people who installed it still didnt have a part they needed for the dryer. Next day comes, they finish setting up the dryer, and we get one use out of it before it completely stops working. Today I called first thing in the morning and was told that Id get a call back within an hour. After hearing nothing and having to call again, they basically told me that they had no idea when the technician would be coming. Technician finally shows up and fixes the dryer, except its STILL broken. Dont waste your time or your money here. I wish we hadnt.

Brought an appliance that I was shopping for at a reasonable price

Came in absolutely frustrated because I could not find a refrigerator that I wanted that would be delivered quickly. Found a refrigerator (used) at half the cost. It was delivered the next week and the old one removed.

This is the worst Appliance store in Valdosta the store manager don’t have a care in the world she have gotten paid By Acima And he is a big rip off They was very quick with taking a payment I’m getting you approved a month later my fridge went out because it’s self repairing it It’s been over a month they bring it back And my fridge is still not working My food have spoiled And not want me to pay the difference for another one the customer service is awful they do not care about the customer once you pay them the appliances is garbage if I could rate of zero I will

They ordered the wrong part for our refrigerator, then three weeks later we still had not heard from them. They said they sent the part back and were waiting on the new part. Long story short, they said they were not able to refund us for ordering the wrong part and that we still owed them more money. We asked for the wrong parts ( the ones I already sent back) and they sent his old part that they had laying around the office. Instead of refunding us close to $200.

This is the absolute worst place in the world to purchase anything from. Sold me a set that did not work at all. Found what I was looking for at the price that I needed. The office rep was attentive as she could be, with other customers in the office. Guy rep came in to assist me, I told him what I wanted, at the price I could afford, and he took me right where I needed to be. I appreciate the fact that he did not try to make me spend more than what I wanted to spend. Delivery day came and I got my washer. Chris the driver/delivery guy was VERY COURTEOUS and KNOWLEDGEABLE. They all showed great customer service, but Chris was exceptionally nice. I appreciate the professionalism across the board and will definitely recommend their business to others.

It was pretty simple getting the appliance to my house but that’s the only good thing honestly. They installed the dryer without a dryer vent hose.If I had known the delivery people had low IQ I could have done it myself.

This is by FAR the WORST appliance store in Valdosta.. I purchased my fridge on a Thursday, by Tuesday it went out.. I called that morning and was told no one could come till the following day.. cool no biggie.. the technician came( really nice btw) said they needed another part and he would be back.. one week later I still have no fridge, my food has spoiled and all they said was oh no.... I called numerous times to tell the same story over and over and all I kept getting was the run around.. I finally had to go to the actual store and they said next week another one can be delivered(but they just got the SAME fridge I have) poor customer service, and overall just a bad experience.. not one apology or ask if they could do anything.. I had to throw out a whole refrigerator worth of food and had I not went down there I would have received no call back or follow up... if you need financing they are fast and easy but that’s about it.. very disappointing...

Do not trust these people for anything. My daughter bought a washer and dryer from them and the dryer stopped working within the first 2 weeks. They came and fixed it and within 2 months, the dryer caught fire in 2 places. The tech that came to fix it said that it was their fault due to a prior tech bypassing a safety mechanism, instead of replacing a part, which is what caused the fire. Since then, they have given one excuse after another to NOT come out to fix it... If you are a female - you are warned..... They will do NOTHING but take advantage of you, rip you off, sell you an unsafe appliance, and then given you the run around when it comes time to fix it. Worst thing of all is they will show you NO respect and actually laugh at you about your complaints!! Someone needs to report this business and see if they cant be shut down before someone gets hurt from one of their faulty appliances!!!

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Luke is a scam artist. I recently moved to Valdosta and needed a washer and dryer. Came into the store and looked around, found a set I liked and got everything set up for payment. Come to find out I was LEASING a 24 year old washer and dryer NOT financing. If I didn’t have it paid off in 90 days, the interest drastically goes up. On delivery day, the washer didn’t work. Took 4 days to get an answer about a tech coming out and someone finally showed up on day 5. The tech said the “break package” was broken and that it could be 2 weeks before it was repaired. Called someone and got a second opinion and they had never heard of this issue and the transmission is what was broken and was more to fix than the washer was worth. I called Luke with my dad on the phone and he laughed at anything and everything I said. We then exchanged a few choice words. He doesn’t care, he’s already gotten paid by Acima and it was no longer his issue. Acima is getting ripped off by this man for the leasing. They do NO REFUNDS, only exchanges.

I wouldn’t dare buy anything from them again, and I’m hoping to save someone else. We purchased a washer and dryer about 3 weeks ago. We immediately, a couple days after hookup, had an issue with the washer “ticking” and not running a cycle. I recorded this for our own security and contacted the business. They advised someone could come look at the washer, however in the meantime it began to work and we decided to overlook said issue. A week later the dryer then quit getting hot. This was another issue that came and went. Not to mention, the dryer began to randomly make squealing noises. Issues that would come and go. The third issue was the washer leaking. At this point we were leaving to go out of town and decided this had to wait until we return. Upon our return and hoping to resolve other issues and wash clothes, the dryer then quit turning at all and hasn’t worked since. At this point, we contacted South Ga Appliance and was told they would swap it out but we were responsible for loading and delivering old washer/dryer and new washer/dryer. Basically, they acted as if it wasn’t their concern. Calling a second time and arguing this because that’s not ok, they stated they would pick up and redeliver a new set but it would be a over a week due to holidays. The guy, my understanding is Luke Peebles, not only cut me off during conversation and had other conversations, but was very blunt and inconsiderate to our bad experience. But.. I understood and said ok about deliveries because of holidays. We decided to go in store to pick out a washer and dryer in the meantime that would hopefully be delivered in a week. At this time, other customers were looking to purchase an appliance and asked delivery times and were given tomorrow. Very different than the conversation that was told to us. I looked at google reviews myself which I should have done sooner, and we decided we had the exact same experience as the others. They can have the money and their appliances, understandably the money is not refundable, but we’ll take the loss at this point versus dealing with such awful people.

Be prepared for a hassle. If youre looking to save money, purchase a NEW scratched/dented appliance. Do not go down the used appliances road with this company. I overheard Luke the salesman speak to a weary customer who was complaining that the refrigerator she bought was never delivered. His words were, well it was delivered and set up somewhere. Not my problem. Use caution.

I stopped in to check prices of a washer and dryer. I had very little amount of money to work with due to the holidays. A very nice lady explained their no credit financing and helped me find the perfect washer and dryer. I only had to pay $54 and it was delivered the next day. Everything has worked perfect and I highly encourage everyone to shop here.

I have never been treated so poorly by anybody the lady there 7 she was the manager refused to order a part for me I am an over the road truck driver I told her that I would be in saturdy to pick up the park since it only takes one day to get in Im only home for 10 hours so I dont have the ability To wait to have an ordered saturdy because then I will not be home I will never ever come here again they need to have more faith in their customers and not treat them like common criminals

If I could give this place a negative review I would!!!. Please be warned! They will treat you great when you are purchasing products, but when they send you products that do not work, they no longer treat you with respect or even care. We purchased a refrigerator that was advertised as new. However, when we received it there was mold inside, crumbs in the bottom and the refrigerator section did not work as the fan inside of it was broken. When we called the manager Luke, he stated we could either wait five days for a technician to come fix it, wait an ENTIRE WEEK for a new one or find a way to transport it back to the store. Regardless of this completely being their fault, this store has refused to give me a refund and honestly, I am unsure how they are still in business. The manager Luke should not be able to manage anything at all as he has the worst customer service Ive ever seen. I would not even want him to be the manager of walking my dogs! Luke needs to be removed from that position and replaced with someone who actually caters to the customers needs and does everything to ensure their satisfaction is guaranteed.

Was looking for new, only saw used

Ive been in the military for 13 years working in customer service and currently 8 months pregnant. I walked in the store and was not greeted by anyone. They dont have prices displayed, so I asked how much are their washer and dryer sets for. The clerk said their cheapest is $450. He did not point out which set he was referring too. Then the clerk sat down and went back to whatever he was doing. My opinion, he was racist. I visited the store on 11 April at 230PM. You should fire this clerk for judging me by how I look and not taking the time to figure out who hes dealing with.

South Georgia Appliance is a short distance past VSU on North Patterson Street. They have NEW and USED appliances. The prices are great and they give military discounts which make a difference. Luke helped me find the best deal after my dryer decided its on strike. Give them a call or visit. Everyone is professional, are awesome to talk to, and will not nickel and dime you.

Got a washer and dryer from here. The dryer wouldnt heat and the washer flooded my laundry room twice. They did offer and exchange but Id look else where before here.

If you cant plug it in at the shop, dont buy it. We had a problem. Our new to us dryer wasnt working correctly. Our initial visit went very well, and we purchased several appliances, and were a bit annoyed when the dryer conked out. But the staff at South Georgia Appliance were prompt to send a technician out, who was both professional and polite. They honored the warranty, and we were able to trade out for a new dryer in just a few minutes. The entire experience has been wonderful and we look forward to dealing with them again. Also, the bird is awesome and worth the trip.

Do NOT waste your time here. They sold me a broke washer and then they cant give you a refund you have to trade it out for another if youre not satisfied... the other option was wait until Tuesday for a service tech to come fix it. I cant go 4 days without washing and have soggy wet clothes just sitting there... plus my clothes is stacked thats why we bought one in the first place.

I applied for a job when they were hiring. I exceeded the qualifications and was excited. They girl made it seem like I was going to be hired and I never heard back. They have a nice selection of appliances.

Super friendly customer service, knowledgeable about the products and service. The cashier was great with explaining how the warranty works and the guy in the back loaded everything up for us. My only suggestion to future customers would be make sure you know what plug you need for the dryer and plan on purchasing new water lines. They provide the power cords and water lines. The plug on the dryer was different so I had to go back and get a different plug and both water lines leaked so I ran to Lowes to purchase new ones. The machines have worked great with no complaints. Great place for appliances new and used.

Bottom Line: Do NOT shop here.I bought a washer and drier from them and ever since day one it has been an absolute nightmare. The washer AND drier kept breaking (we were being conservative with the amount of clothes we were putting in). It would take 2-3 phone calls before they would send someone out to fix the issue; and then that fix would only last 1-2 weeks. Eventually, they told us they would replace the units, only to have those units break as well. Now, Im no expert, but two sets of washers and driers breaking in less than 1 year?...unbelievable. Lastly, they pay scrap money for their units, so it seems to me they don’t sell used appliances, but rather scrap metal with temporary patches that will last just passed their “90 day warranty”. The only reason I would recommend buying from these people is if you want an absolute waste of your money. In that case, Id suggest donating to a good charity.

I went here to find a washer and dryer for my apartment. They had a lot to choose from and pretty good prices to. I purchased a set and it was delivered yesterday. So far so good. Thanks Luke for your help. Highly recommend.

Get their money then make you keep bad appliances or settle for something less than what you paid for! Run you around until the warranty runs out claiming they got more coming and never return your calls. Then give a lame excuse to blame you for the issue! I don’t know who owns this place but they should be ashamed!

I bought a fridge from there a few weeks ago. I asked did everything work the guy said yes. I get it home. Ice maker doesnt work nor does it freeze. I lost alot of food thanks to them. Also fridge doesnt seal right. Customer service is bad. I called them 2 weeks ago to come fix it he said that thirsday no one showed. I call back they said they find out and call back. No one called back. Then Monday I call agaon they pretty much said i was lying and it was for the following thursday. I lost the call about that time and the guy canceled my appt. I call again today a lady answered. Theu wont refund my money but will exchange it. What a crock they are a rip off and bad products.

Horrible place. This place is one big overcharged scam. The first two appliances I purchased didn’t work. One shot out fire, the other was useless. Why I didn’t think to test them in the store I don’t know. They certainly don’t offer testing. Took them back and managed to get store credit because they’re very firm on no refunds. Once they have your money, they won’t give it back. Walked away with one appliance, a supposedly new refrigerator. They of course picked it out for me claiming it was the only one in my $500 price range credit. The rubber on the inside of the door is coming off, looks like it went through a hurricane, earthquake and a tornado. After I cleaned the food spills out of it, the compressor quit. I felt like taking it and throwing it through the store’s window. Instead I called a friend to look at it. It’s going to need a new thermostat.They got 500 of my dollars and I got a second hand, crappy, in need of maintenance fridge.This place is shady, full of swindlers and fast talkers. The store is filthy and smells like urine. When I drove around back, they were painting rusty appliances to pass them off as new. It’s a scam. I should have just walked out the door the moment I walked in. I just really wanted a working refrigerator. Oh, and if you buy something, don’t expect too much help from the loading crew. But expect them to treat your newly purchased appliance like the garbage it is as they haphazardly toss it on your trailer and walk away. Save yourself money, time and frustration and stay away from this place.Update: The closing cam bearing just went bad on the door. So now there’s an aggravating, loud pop noise every time I open it. A constant reminder of the incompetence of the store and my foolishness for buying anything from them. >.

DO NOT BUY FROM THEM !!!!! Bought a washing machine for $225 got it home it immediately didnt work. They Set an appt to come out and repair for a whole week later. Then they missed they appt and didnt call or leave voicemail showing any concern. Called everyday after but couldnt leave voicemail bcitwas full...Finally got a hold of them a week after missed appt and they tell me it will be another week b4 they can come out and or they can deliver a diff washing machine at a $50 delivery fee . I complained with the owner who was very u concerned on the phone. Told me either pay the 50 to drop a new one off same day or wait another week for repair. Had a washing machine just sitting in my kitchen for 3wks weeks that icant use for a total of $225

Went here right before they closed and the guy working barely spoke to us. I get it your are ABOUT to close. We just had a couple of questions. But we were looking g to spend a significant amount of money here. But I guess we will try the big box store.

I walked into the store and the man didn’t address me nor was he polite. Seemed to be very short and was kind of rude. Wouldn’t recommend spending money there

There not a good place, buyer beware!! Customer service is terrible. I bought washer/dryer and that was almost a month ago and Im still waiting for washer to be repaired. I never even got to use it and Im so frustrated and upset.Please dont buy here!! Buyer Beware...

Very friendly & easy 90 day financing

I bought a unit and when my repair guy went to go pick it up they had sold the unit that I just bought. S. Ga Appliance tried to give me a trashy, greasy and busted up unit in place. When I told them that I didn’t believe this was good business and wanted my money back they said they would not. It took calling the police for them to give me my refund. Save yourself the hassle and don’t deal with these crooks...Definitely one big scam of a business. Warn your friends and family if they are in the market for sales/service of home appliances.

I purchased a washer and only one spin cycle worked for all the different settings and even then the spin only worked when it wanted to. I went to exchange that washer and received horrible customer service he was more interested in selling to other people than helping us out we ended up spending about two hours there waiting and came out with a washer that was $20 cheaper and not what we wanted and a in store credit for $20. What am I suppose to do with a $20 in store credit i will never do business with them again
