A car sales representative was available even on Sunday to answer my questions. If you are NOT the kind of person that likes to show yourself off everywhere you go, than the Honda car is a terrific choice. The car is not overpriced, relatively affordable to maintain even if it is not on warranty anymore. My previous Honda car was 16 years old and it had more than 300,000 miles on it.
Service was so great! They were super nice and offered shuttle, coffee etc. They were pretty fast working on my car and werent overpriced at all(which sometimes would be expected from a dealership...not the case!) Both the tech and the service people were very friendly and honest.

Purchasing process went fine. However,the car wouldnt start 3 times within a month, its a brand new car with less than 800 miles! Had to take off work and wait hours at their service center for them to figure out that the problem is from a bad battery. While waiting, I could hear other customers also had battery issues. No loaner vehicle was available if they need to keep the car, its extremely inconvenient and frustrating! I would not purchase another Honda nor recommend them base on this experience, doesnt seem like they inspect their vehicles before selling.

I know cars about as well as I can throw them, but I have had cars worked on by mechanics a lot. My impression of this place is that they do very thorough work, their mechanics are conscientious and they are trustworthy. Granted you are paying dealership prices, but sometimes that is worth it.

I had a wonderful experience & I would definitely recommend any Honda owner to Avery Greene Honda for any vehicle repair or maintenance service. Tan who is one of the service rep was professional, courteous and knowledgeable of his work. I only wanted oil service on my civic, but he offered to verify if it has a recall which it did. Tan handle just about everything that I did not line up to make my payment at the cashier.

This dealership doesn’t provide prices for services/maintenance during scheduling process online.Update: 07/20/21The dealership wanted to charge a total of $1400 for a spool valve solenoid replacement and labor.The rear spool valve solenoid is under $300 for the part and the labor (time spent to replace it) was less than 30 minutes.The part at the dealership was over $700 and the labor was over $600.So they charge over $600 for 30 minutes of labor.I was able to get the OEM part for a fraction of the price and did the replacement myself. Total cost: $276.94 shipped with a labor time of 26 minutes. And this is coming from someone who has only worked on his own Toyotas and never touched a Honda.Next the mechanic who I paid to do a multipoint inspection failed to examine my air intake box. The hose that connects from the intake box to the intake manifold was falling apart and was disconnected from the the intake manifold. I replaced the intake hose myself in less than 10 minutes with the total cost of $27.23 shipped.Lastly the mechanic failed to examine all suspension components and only pointed out one failing shock while other suspension components have slack/movement and deteriorating. For just the rear shocks to be replaced (shocks plus labor) they quoted me almost $700.For the very same OEM shocks/struts (this for literally front and rear), coils/springs, strut/shock mount amongst a few other parts in the suspension kit, it was just under $600 shipped. Installation cost is to be determined as I haven’t found a shop yet until I get back in town.All in all, not very happy with the outcome. From now on I will avoid this dealership to find flaws for me and I will get the OEM parts and either install it myself or have a mechanic install for me at a fraction of the price. I will try the Honda dealerships somewhere in Concord, Walnut Creek or Vacaville.. anywhere except for this dealership in Vallejo.

I don’t trust this place anymore because January of this year I took my car so they can install a strut mount and so I can get an alignment. I thought they did it correctly, however just last week, 3 months later, I took my car to get another alignment because it was steering to the left. Then they showed me that the right strut mount was way off and was not properly aligned by Honda. Also, the paper showed me the casters, cambers, and toe was off as well. I tried to speak to Rick about the situation and that I wanted a free alignment because it was their job to do it correctly but then Rick calls over Martin Bateson and Martin says, “ I don’t want to speak and we don’t give free alignments, either pay or you may leave.” He didn’t let me speak to him about the situation. DON’T go to this HONDA if you didn’t buy a car from them. They will screw you over like how they did to my dad and I.
I believe I was overcharged for a remanufactured Honda/Acura starter. 06312-rkb-515rm back on 5/28/21. In fact, the entire service seemed like it was incredibly high for a starter replacement. While we cant dispute shop rates and the fact they estimated 1.8 hours plus the diagnosis fee, we can dispute charging more than retail for a remanufactured starter. I talked with a service manager on 6/2/21 because I had researched prices in the area for both new and refurbished. I wasnt given a satisfactory answer on why they charged more than retail pricing. I was deferred to the head service manager, who after almost 2 week hasnt called me back. To make matters worse, they didnt put the car back together correctly and the plastic under tray was dragging.Overall this was not a good experience and I would not recommend Avery Greene.Weve performed all service and maintenance on this car with Avery Greene and it really feels like we were not treated like a valued customer.

Had a battery issue and just popped in with no appointment. Service advisor Don McCue wrote up my ticket but before sending the car back to shop he check battery with portable unit to triage. This saved a lot of time. Great communication. Warranty item and all was good. Lobby was clean, coffee good, friendly staff! I recommend!

I made an advance appointment with Shannon Ross. I have to say that I have always tried to book with Shannon as ahe is a non nonsense get it done kinda person like me. However Shannon was off today despite the booking system showing her as available. I needed to get the car serviced so I decided to stay and work with Alex.Well the whole situation went sideways rather quickly when I asked them to update the navigation maps, since I had received an email thar said the update was free. Alex did not know how to do this and wasted a bit of time trying to research how to do it. Then he said that there was a $100 fee to updated the navigation. I explained that I received an email saying it was free and I showed it to him. At this point other service advisors began to congregate and I asked to talk with a manager. All managers were in a meeting except Ashley Singh the assistant service manager. I explained to her what the issue was and as she was trying to resolve the issues service advisor Don MCue got in NY face and said that was not an email they could honor. An older man in a gaiter then can and got involved. I asked that they have a manager call me since Ashley did not seem to be able to manage the staff and handle the customer service issues. At this point I agreed to leave the car while waiting to resolve the navigation issue.I also emailed the Lyle Nick GM and Marty the service manager. And wrote a Yelp review. About an hour later my husband received a text noting they had figured out how to update the navigation and asking me to remove the Yelp review. I responded that I felt as of the whole service department ganged up on me when I was asking for the free offer to be honored,, and I would reconsider should the service level improve.When I showed up to pick up the car servoce advisor got began to use a derogatory tome with me when I spoke with Ashley Singh, Ashley made no attempt to stop him. I spoke with Marty who actually entered the room as Don was launching on his verbal tirade. I explained to Marty that I did not appreciate the intervention of other staff when I am having a civil conversation with Ashley, who is supposedly Dons superior. O explained to him this is exactly what happened earlier and his only response was I dont know how to respond to that. I think that really summarizes the situation, the really dont know how to respond to customers or provide adequate service. Don and the older man in the gaiter really need training in de escalation techniques, Ashley needs to work on managing people Ann speaking for herself, and Marty really need to take customer service and leadership classes as his staff seem to manage him more than he manages his staff.Absolutely no sense of customer service and an overall air of incompetence.

Just now called them and try to get an answer or 2 about my car And 2 different people hung up on me And did not let me speak more than 3 words So I then go do this automated settings to speak to their manager I had to leave a message for Them to call me back I have not heard back from them this is very poor customer service

A few days ago Kimberly followed up via email to see if I had been helped and my reply below is the same I sent to her, word for word. Color me surprised that she never responded.After talking with Albert over the phone I went down there today. To say I was displeased with the condition of the minivan is an understatement. In previous correspondence (not sure if it was Albert or someone else) I made it clear that I do not want a car with anything more than normal visual wear and tear commensurate with its age, in this case a 3 year old car. I explicitly stated I was not interested in a car with any actual dents or damage.When I arrived, with my family in tow, I find a back bumper that was obviously damaged in an unreported accident. So much so that the bumper had an approximate inch long tear from presumably being either pulled out and bent or crimped inward to create such damage. I spent an hour driving there and back and maybe 15 seconds of inspecting the car before it was an obvious no. When I said yeah, Im going to pass, thanks he replied thats it? to which I said yeah, the car was obviously in an unreported accident and Im not interested in that. His reply was yeah they only report the accident once its been repaired. Dont you think that maybe, just maybe he might want to disclose that bit of information, especially considering there werent any online pictures of this?What really irked me was when Albert told me over the phone we can do $21.5k but we cant go any lower. I replied lower for what, like damage or mechanically related? He said any of that, $21.5k and cant go lower. Reading between the lines he knew it had damage. The pictures didnt show this damage. Him nor the other guy told me about the damage.I dont enjoy being played or being a pawn in some greasy sales tactics thinking that I can be hoodwinked once I step foot at the dealership. Apparently I showed up earlier than he was expecting, who knows what he was going to have done to try to hide the damage. Either way, it was a waste of my time and I dont appreciate being treated this way when I made it abundantly clear that I did not want any car with that kind of damage, regardless of the price.So no, I didnt get everything I was hoping for. I wont be returning to your dealership regardless of any future deals nor will I for servicing.

Just bought a new Clarity today, our second car from Avery Greene. Very pleasant experience overall. Showroom looks new and bright. Lots of selection. Got a good price via their online quote tool (better than trying to negotiate in person), so Id recommend doing that first. One warning, they do try and add on some premium security system and floor mats or something, for $1,100. But I pushed back and they removed the charges. Process was a bit slow, but everything was generally easy and didnt feel high pressure. Overall, price was $800 better than I got from other dealers.
We purchased our 2013 CRV at Avery Green Honda. It was a no pressure deal at a fair price. The vehicle continues to satisfy our needs. We have all our maintenance done here. They are friendly, professional and polite.

I had a Multi-Point Inspection last March 16, 2019 and paid $879.39. After 2 days after the service, the under shield of my car opened up and I had a very very tough drive coming all the way from my work at San Francisco going to Vallejo. They closed it for free but I was still disappointed that after paying the huge amount for an over-all inspection, that incident happened. After that long drive, it might’ve damaged the cover underneath as well for it was touching almost every hump even if I go really slow.Also, they said there was an oil leak and they had to put a die to locate it but when I came back after a few miles, they weren’t able to locate where the leak was and had to put a die the second time.After 3 months, June 15,2019, I had a change-oil service and again, after a few days, the under shield opened up again and I noticed a small tear in the rubber, which is I think was caused by the sloppy work they did during my March service. And they can’t still locate where the leak was.November 2,2019, I went back to do oil change. Now they said they were finally able to locate the leak and that I have to pay $1,100 to fix everything, including the replacement of the broken cover underneath.My car is only almost 2 years old, and I already need to pay $1,100 just to have my valve cover gasket replaced, and have an oil pan reseal; 2 things that weren’t taken care of immediately for they couldn’t figure it out earlier.After my car is fixed, I am never going back here again.

After doing internet research we thought there was no way to do anything before our lease was up without paying off the rest of our payments, but Albert was able to get us a great deal in our car and we were able to come out even and drive off with a brand new clarity. The customer service was great. No sleazy car salesmen tactics and relatively fast experience (for a car buying process of course). We will definitely be back when this lease is up!

Price negotiation (which for me, is typically the biggest turnoff of any car purchase) with Sandra over the email was easy and painless. She was quick to respond and not pushy, which was the main reason we chose Avery Greene Honda over another dealership. John, Johnny, and Lyle were all very friendly, easy to work with and patient despite us coming in close to closing time.

Originally came here primarily interested in the new Accord coupe and loved it. Hugo helped us out and was very patient, kind, and not pushy at all. We found a vehicle on their website that we wanted to purchase. We are out of the state, but were willing to drive to California to pick up the vehicle or have it transported. Our credit union contacted them requesting the paperwork to send the dealership their money, but their general manager, A.K., refused to sell us the car because, He wouldnt be able to sell the vehicle anymore if our credit union gave them the money for the car. Interesting - I thought that was the point: I give them their money and they dont sell it to someone else. The car is already sold. It didnt make any sense to us that they would advertise a vehicle on-line, but then not work with someone unless they were physically at the dealership. We actually considered making the 9-hour drive to the dealership to purchase the vehicle, but after reading the reviews written by other customers we decided it was not in our best interest to trust this dealership to keep their word on the on-line advertised price. If you are going to use 21st century advertising methods, then be willing to use 21st century purchasing methods. I wonder how the Honda corporation would feel about how this dealership is treating loyal Honda customers? Very disappointing experience. :(

I showed up early, they were accommodating and ready for me. They did not push the sale aggressively. They were forthright about the condition of the used car I was interested in. Jennifer on the floor was very kind and answered all of my questions. Jim(?) in financing was an absolute professional - big praise for him. Great service all round.My car buying experience here really could not have been better. And the car I drove off with was cheaper than all comparable models in a 50 mile radius! This place is great!

I reached out to the dealership looking for a quote on a 2015 CR-V, and Steve Alfonso responded very rapidly. Throughout our communication, Steve responded quickly, clearly and, transparently. During our final negotiations, the staff were all very helpful and I felt welcome and didnt feel too pressured during negotiations or like I was backed into a corner at all. I really enjoyed the experience and it was refreshing to have such a great shopping experience when I had only heard horror stories about other dealerships. Steve Alfonso was great to have as our salesperson and point of contact!

These folks are really top notch. We just bought a slightly used Honda CR Z. We feel that we got a great deal for a super car! Wayne, our sales person was absolutely incredible! He did not rush into wanting to talk about purchasing the vehicle which we liked. Instead, before even a test drive, Wayne wanted to make certain my better half was crystal clear on each of the buttons and mechanics of this CR Z.Even our finance person Daniel was Great! It sounds juvenile, but he did this great thing with explaining GAP insurance and Warranty information by drawing bubbles and arrows...let me tell you, this was the most precise way this has ever been explained to me! Great buying experience with Dave Colello on a used 2013 Honda Civic. No hassles, easy to work with, he new the car well and didnt try to BS us about the car or its features. He was available when he said he would be and helped set up a few simple things on the car so that it was easy to drive away. Best price we found on the specific model and features we wanted of all the Bay Area. The only complaint I have is that they put cheap wiper inserts on the car. I stopped at an auto parts store and bought good wipers on the way home because it was raining.
I was tasked with assisting my parents lease a new vehicle. Having been through several vehicle purchases in the last decade, along with assisting at least half a dozen others for friends, Im very familiar with the purchase process and the typical sales tactics. I made contact with four dealers and hands down James Y. was the easiest to work with. Other dealers persisted with their typical dealer scripts after telling them what type of offer I received from Avery, one even QUICKLY hung up the phone after hearing the offer I was given here. Avery offered a very competitive and stress-free purchase process. James even went in to the dealer on his day off so my mother could take delivery of her new 16 Accord.

They were friendly, didnt pressure you to buy, very informative, and they gave us a pretty good deal. They were also willing to call other dealerships in case they didnt have the color vehicle I wanted. Dave Colello and the financing person, I believe his name was Johnny, provided great service.

Absolutely horrible experience:(1) got a quote from internet(2) called in to confirm out of door price, gave them my personal information to make sure will qualify for financing, and got confirmation over the phone.(3) test driving the car and was ready to finish the paperwork, and all of a sudden salespeople told us there was an option charge of $866, which was not an option at all! Because those options can not be taken down without damaging the car!(4) pointed out that option was not part of our agreement, showed them the email record and phone record. Sales manager asked tell me a reason to remove this cost... Really?!As a business person myself, I understand the importance of profit. But please earn your profit honestly, not by hiding and lying and cheating. If you can not afford to offer a product, say it. Please do not waste peoples time to get them in your store and only to find a somewhat different story than what is promised. If you do not understand the meaning of out of door price, do not even bother using it.This is not a store an honest people should visit, a total waste of time.
I was shopping for a new car and went to Avery Greene and meet a Sales Consultant name Daniel Trujillo. He is awesome, because he is loaded with knowledge on Honda product. I did my own research and I asked him lots of questions that I already new the answer on. To check and see if he knows his Hondas. I also asked him what did he own and he showed my his personal car. Honda Accord. That also tells me he believes in the brand he is selling. That is important to me. Thanks Daniel for all of your help. I will refer lots of people to you.Nicole

I had been planning to get a new car for a while, but when my last car died, it became a lot more urgent. Salesman Dave Colello took great care of us, just as he did when he put my dad in his truck. We were in and out of there a LOT faster than we should have been when buying a new car, and we got a killer deal on a barely used Honda Accord!
