Vallejo Smog is my go-to for smog checks. The establishment is always clean and the customer service is excellent. They also accept coupons from competitors…BONUS POINTS!!But really, this is a great home town place - I recommend Vallejo Smog and give them 5 stars

For a place I had been bringing my vehicles to for 10 years, it was disappointing to let them know I would not be coming back due to their bad decision.Several days ago I went in for a smog check on a vehicle I bought over a year ago. Brought my registration in and thought everything was fine. The technician comes out and informed me that die to my vehicle being made and sold in a different country he would not smog it unless it had a sticker on the hood. He handed a referee program flyer and said they could assist.I contacted the referee program, who looked up my VIN with the Bureau of Automotive and Repair (bar.ca.gov) which showed it has passed multiple times before. In addition, the fact that I have CA title should be an indicator that the vehicle passed an inspection with the DMV and passed the emissions test to meet California regulations. In addition, the sticker they were looking for may not be available if the hood was replaced or could have worn off. I printed off the information from BAR, which also stated the referee program was not required for my vehicle and had the previous smog test certificates attached.I went back and spoke with the employee regarding what I was informed and they still refused because it didnt have a sticker. While I can appreciate caution of testing vehicles that may be shady, if you can verify with the BAR and DMV that the vehicle can be smogged, than missing a sticker should not prevent the vehicle.While being frustrated dealing with this discussion, I was watching the lady behind the desk nodding and smiling while the technician refused to service my vehicle.I have to say the way I was treated this time and refusal of service was disappointing. I found a new smog test place and had no issues with my vehicle passing. The ignorance of Vallejo Smog has cost them a loyal customer for 10 years.

Great place to get your smog test done. Been coming for years. Never had to wait more than 30 minutes, usually even faster if there arent other customers waiting. Staff is always kind and helpful. Price isnt too bad, especially if you get the coupon off their website.

Very fast smog. I saw on their signs that they do oil changes too. Not sure if they do other services. Knowledgable, Nice friendly staff. Nice waiting area where they have drinks, snacks available for purchase. Highly recommend! Look for a coupon. I mentioned Yelp because thats how I found them, and they honored the discount for that. Not sure how long theyll do that once word gets out how great they are.

This convenient place has the nicest and also knowledgeable gentleman working behind the counter. They offer registration services were you get your tags right there. They are trustworthy and I feel comfortable walking my dog while they are running a smog check on my car. Exceptional customer service.

Good service and quick (10 minutes), but $85.50 seems a bit steep. Especially since it only takes 10 minutes. I just smogged our other car a few months prior for $67 out the door.

Total rip off. No one charges for a retest. They charge76 for the test and $38 for the retest.Id just changed the battery which creates a reset in the computer.they did a visual test only. Which means they didnt run it on the computer. Told me to drive it about 75 miles and come back. Then they charged again!In 30 years Ive never been charged like this. Lots of better places. Dont go here. much as
