They are very helpful here. Nice store. I always find what I am looking for.
Lots of places tout FREE this or FREE that. Well I needed to double check an alternator and battery as my van was dying and my family depends on our van.I stopped by and explained my problem to Joe D who was behind the counter. Not only did he come out to the van and test everything for FREE but he polished the headlights on my van.It may have only taken him ten minutes but he pointed out the problem with the power to our van and he did it with a SMILE, gloves mask and protector gear,Thanks again to Joe D and the Vernon Auto Zone. After traveling the country and logging over 60k miles in our van I’m grateful all the times I’ve stopped into Auto Zone whether it be Denver Co or Vernon CTpops_van_gogh
Walked in this store to a worker play arguing with his friend or girlfriend cussing and making a scene on the work phone while nobody else greeted me for 5 minutes. I received little help and no one gave me advice with my situation. The service here usually isn’t that good but I could deal with it, yesterday was all around terrible. The Manchester location is busier and they have better customer service. I wouldn’t recommend this location.
If I could give it a one star I would I just talk shouted out so the employee may here me asking if he is coming back all I got back was a nasty reply YEAH GIVE ME A SECOND then when he comes back I went and confronted him to see maybe hes was confused about how I asked him and I told him I was only asking I wasnt giving a attitude was just checking he goes and gives me more of a nasty attitude of a voice well you already ask and there is only 2 of us. Well that gives no excuse to snap at a person and give them a attitude back with your responses so on this note I feel the employee here are terrible with there feedback and on top of that had us waiting there before that person.
Worst customer service. They don’t like to warranty anything they sell. Don’t waste your money here. Go to Oreilly’s down the street! Oreilly’s takes care of their customers and don’t rob them for their money!
Average auto parts store. They hire anybody. Often the staff have little or no knowledge whatsoever of automotive repair and the tools or parts necessary to do the job. This also causes the lines to be longer. Also, at this particular store I stood at the register waiting for a cashier and all 3 employees were in a back isle having conversation, they saw me waiting but their personal conversation was apparently more important. Thumbs down
I stopped in today to have my battery checked. Kidany came out with the tester and told me he wanted to check the alternator too. After he checked both, he told me he wasnt sure if a new battery would be appropriate and he hated to see me spend the money if it wasnt the problem. He said that he could give me a jump so I could go to the garage. Maileen the store came out and got my car started. She saw I was crying and she was so sweet and told me not to worry they would get car started. Above and beyond. Above and beyond
Very helpful, especially since I know the bare minimum about anything to do with autoparts lol
Free scan for my check engine light. Quick and Easy.
I went to the store in Vernon Connecticut on route 83. The gentleman named Joseph was not only courteous he made three great suggestions about various products. The store manager Maileen was also professional and courteous. In these times this is what we need more of from each other. Please let them know.
I stopped at the Vernon location to ask for help in replacing my windshield wipers. Marie immediately came outside to teach me how to remove and replace the wipers. She also taught me how to properly replace my headlight bulb. It was all gummed up so she showed me how to clean it up and add grease to improve the connection. As a woman myself, it was very satisfying to get help from a woman who knew what she was doing. I learned a lot from Marie and drove away with a bit more knowledge under my belt and two minor repairs completed. Thank you so very much for your time and for sharing your knowledge, Marie!
Willie was great! We asked about a deal posted outside and he quickly got us all the items we were looking for. Great customer service makes all the difference.
Wow! Never imagined I’d be writing a review for an auto parts shop but....the EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE from Cornelius and Chris was so above and beyond! I have to urge everyone in this area; go there and experience the helpful, knowledgeable, truly caring attitude each employee exhibits. I dealt with 3 other parts stores the same day and was disappointed by some condescending, dismissive interactions when looking for assistance. If I need parts in future, AutoZone will be my “go to”👍🏼
Staff were very helpful. Checkout was quick.
Only go there if you know what you need. Took 10mins just to get the check engine cable, only 1 employee out of 4 was talking to customers, had to do it twice, but that cable wasnt working, had to use a different one for a third attempt, then the person didnt know what the codes meant and said take it to a mechanic
Auto zone in Vernon has great customer service!
Are they helpful, yes very helpful. Are they patient and polite, definitely. Are they knowledgeable, absolutely. Will I go back, without a doubt. Clean, well organized with a great selection of products and prices.
Great service. Replaced my fob car battery. I didnt know how to get the battery out but they showed me and replaced it. Really friendly and knowledgeable staff. Thanks!
Great customer service!!! And they had the part I needed!
Always have the right part everytime I visit their location or website
Willie helped me in the waking hour. In my time of need. He comforted me, he reassured me, and was very knowledgable.I appreciate him so much.Wille if you are reading this. Thank you.
Customer service is excellent. Always enjoy shopping at auto zone in Vernon
I really appreciate all this gentleman did above and beyond extremely professional . Thank you
I go to only a few different stores around my town that treat me great for example AutoZone Auto Parts at 184 Talcottville Rd, Vernon, CT 06066 ... I go there all the time for not only my needs for auto, etc. but because anytime I have a question theres always someone there to answer it and give me great ideas (with some knowledge on how to do these things too) for example todays visit I had a question and this employee went out of her way at get me and answer, then what I needed, went I got home and finished my job it came out awesome, a huge thank you for always taking great care of me!
Had the parts for my car reasonable price. Helpful staff.
Easy in, easy out. Friendly staff
Joe was very very friendly and helpful. He looked up the part, which was wiper blades and then once he found them he was more than happy to install them for us. We also needed a refund on a different product and the manager was delighted to help out with that refund.
Great service and pricing
Im in a auto parts store at least once a day. Its been years since Ive been to this AutoZone, oh how much is changed. Positive salespeople on to of knowledgeable. I had the pleasure of dealing with Humair who made my transaction which and easy. In a world where customer service is nonexistent this store stands above and beyond.
Cool experience 5 stars!
Knowledgeable employees
Great service, and respectful employees
Customer service is slow and unwelcoming.
Good service very professional
This is the first time Ive purchased from Autozone. The store was busy, but I had to thank Shane for his assistance with changing out my brake lights. Even though the store was busy the wait time was minimal and took the time to make sure everything was working perfectly (and he did it with a smile). He did an awesome job!!! Many thanks!
Older man behind the counter today around 1pm was extremely sarcastic and made very rude comments about the items I was purchasing, spoke to me with no kindness in his voice, there seems to be other reviews about him saying the same. I would not recommend coming back to this store. Too bad nothing is going to happen about though as I doubt action will be taken seeing as the other reviews have some BS answer from AutoZone......
5 STAR REVIEWI went looking for several items, including wiper blades, of which my car takes 3 different sizes.Javier an excellent and extremely proficient employee, helped me find 8 different items, and in the course of 3 minutes he retrieved all the items and was ready to ring me up! I was flabbergasted at just how efficient he was! Hang onto this gem of an employee, workers like him are hard to come by!Oh ya, did I mention that he also installed said wipers and I had not even asked him to, and it was damn cold outside! In the future, I will do all my business there, and guess who I will be looking for?Sincerely,C. Klein @ the Vernon ct. location.
Had what we needed. And left us know that this type of car has two air filters. But we read the car manual and it did not. But was great that they new about some modules that have that extra filter!
Went in to buy a brake light because one of mine was out. All I did was ask if it was easy to do and the employee said he would do it for me. Turns out, it wasnt as easy as I thought and even with the extra time and tools it took, he happily helped me. Very kind and helpful. I am so grateful..highly recommend this store.
The worst autozone I’ve ever been to. They just pointed where the part was that I needed when I asked them to show me and then when I didn’t want to get two for a deal, they were harassing me to get it nonstop until I got out of there. Highly recommend driving to another one even if it’s out of your way.
Credit card machine is garbage takes forever for them to work
Excellent service
Nicholas D and Deshawn are very personable and work great with any and every customer. Kind, helpful, and very efficient. This Autozone thrives with them. Will come back again and especially for the customer service. :)
The customer service i received from Tywon was even better than the 5 star rating - from the moment i entered the door to the moment i left - I went in for motor oil - he showed me to the oil and then when i was finishing up paying he offered me a funnel to use and then he also brought with the funnel a pair of latex gloves and a paper towel. More stores need associates like this fine young man!
James at counter was super helpful. Got car scanned and parts to fix issue. Worth the drive to get real help. Thanks
They went above and beyond helping me when the old bulbs for my license plate lights were stuck. Thanks again for the help and the laughs guys!!
Shane was an incredible example of perfect customer service. Quick, informative, assurring, socialable .He diagnosed and replaced my battery, while hearing my needs and working to meet each one. Thank you, Vernon Auto Zone.
Whenever my check engine light comes on I go to these guys theyre really good and very helpful staff is friendly
This service was outstanding
My mother’s car needed a new headlight because the lightbulb blew out. She sent me down to get it fixed for her. They had a replacement light and one of the kind employees replaced it for her. Fast and efficient service! Thank you!!
Reasonably priced. Very helpful & customer friendly!
Two employees behind registers wearing masks on their chins.Reported to Vernon DPH however they are overwhelmed at the moment.
Have what you need and good $$$
I was pretty disappointed with my experience today at the Autozone in Vernon. I had a headlight out and stopped in to see if I could replace it before driving a few hours to a family dinner on the weekend. The man I spoke to was not very helpful and seemed to begrudge the time he was talking to me. He finally came out to look at my car to see how easily the bulb could be replaced. He looked under the hood and told me the only way to get at the bulb was to pull the battery and I needed to go to a mechanic. But the store had the bulb for purchase- the cheapest was 20-something dollars. He suggested I not go to the dealer- it would be very expensive to get the work done but did recommend a mechanic he liked and trusted. Being in a hurry- I called my dealership and they told me to come in that afternoon. They had a bulb for $35, and the service manager opened the hood, popped out the bulb, installed the new one and it was done in 3 minutes. Literally- I looked at my watch. NO CHARGE for the work, took 3 minutes, did not require removing the battery. Total cost $35 plus tax. And, done. Thanks for the bad advice, Autozone.
Very helpful, low cost, and many places to eat or to kill time while waiting. However I would recommend making an appointment or calling ahead before going. They are usually busy.
Good selection and helpful staff
They had what I needed and made checkout easy.
Needed a head light for my truck. Staff was very helpful in picking out the correct one. It was very busy so it did take a while to get the help.
Friendly service. Parts I needed in stock. Better warranty on parts than NAPA.
Good people. These guys know their stuff.
Went in to buy wiper blades today. The counterman Joe D was very rude. Seems to be an angry man I watched him with several other people as well. With attitude like this guy had he should not work with the public.Manager stepped in and fixed it. She was great.
Great close place and some good prices hit or miss
They had what I needed. Down side they dont take AAA for discounts. So I usually go to Napa since NAPA offers a AAA discount
AutoZone is more friendly and knowledgeable then advance auto. Great staff
This was the busiest auto zone Id ever seen. But it was well organized and fully staffed so there wasnt a long wait for anything.
Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Helped me identify what I needed, and walked me through the repair.
No respect Youths working there. More interest in themselves than customer service. I bought what I needed and will go to ORileys next time
Helped us test our check engine light without a single question. Great customer service
Such a good store. Employees very helpful.
Good location, easy to get in and out of. Nice selection of products and parts.
They have a special until Monday guy told me since they didnt have the right oil for the special hed give me a couple dollars off the air filter got home realized he charged me full price anyways going back tomorrow lets see what happens other than that theyre pretty good...
I prefer Pepboys. Its a good place as well. Cant complain
The worst customer service!!!! We speak Spanish and the guy kept correcting our pronounciation and make it us say it over and over again (we were just saying we need a battery for an honda accord, nothing complicated). I had never had to repeat myself so many times and people always understand my English (we are both professionals). When my boyfriend asked if he just wanted us to say it the right way he said: yeah, you got a problem with that? Then we left because it was obvious that he was being biased toward us and rude on purpose.
Very busy for one cash register to be open but nice staff.
Had item could not find elsewhere
Dont look for punctuality or reliability at this autozone. I ordered a part for my car last Wednesday and they told me it would be in Friday by 3:00. Great! Except when I walked in on Friday I was told it was delayed and would be in on Monday and the manager working was dismissive and asked why I didnt call ahead (why would I, I ordered a part they said would be in) and that they would call when the part was in and I didnt need to come in until then. I called Monday night and again, they said the part wasnt in and they would call when it gets in. Well, its now the following Wednesday and I called again and they said its finally in. When I got to the store they said its been in since Monday Morning. When i asked about a discount for a 5 day delay and the constant cat and mouse, they said there was nothing they could do. I would have been much better off going to a mom and pop shop to order this part in the first place but I was relying on a speedy delivery which I didnt get anyways.
This latest visit was different.than most. Most visits are calm and corteous.this one was rude and the older gray haired counter person was sarcastic and rude. When l.. asked.why he was waiting on someone out.of order he said if.I wanted to argue with someone he would call the manager. So I asked.Lysa, the manager to come up.and. she did.. She waited on me as he should have done and did a good.job. this.older guy has a bad attitude when ever I see him.in the store. He is bad for the.business....
Called ahead to make sure they had a part in stock before I wasted time driving to the store. The person on the phone said the part was in stock. Got to the store and the part was not in stock. When I asked what happened it turned out the person at the store had looked up a random exhaust gasket for my car when I clearly asked for the gasket between the exhaust manifold and down pipe. The employee who I spoke to on the phone was not apologetic at all and cleary did not care that he had wasted my time. I wiill not be returning to that store.
Most people arent excited to work on Memorial Day, but the young lady was extremely helpful, thorough and quick!
The people that worked there were really nice
Great service and availability of products was surprised how much stuff they have for cars!
Still a well maintained auto parts shop with good selection and competitive prices
Darling was awesome! Exceptional customer service.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS. It seems that it never ends with this store. I went to buy a part and after being treated like they could care less, they sold me a part that didnt even fit because the part number was really close to the one I actually needed. This time, they sold me a broken part fresh off the shelf!! It cost me money on labor and a new more expensive part. They wouldnt do anything for me as they could care less. Worst auto parts store in town.
Competitive prices. Knowledgeable staff. Friendly..
Auto zone is a mans answer to maintenance of your ride. Superb
The manager geeta was very helpful will use again
Had just what I was looking for, for a great price too! Didnt have to ask any questions or help so I cant comment on that.
No Stars!!My boyfriend unknowingly bought a faulty alternator for my 2002 Honda Odyssey minivan at the AutoZone in Vernon, CT.About a week or less later after he installed it, my van started acting strange. It was making noises that sounded like the exhaust went, was idling bad at red lights to the point where you thought it was going to stall. So we ended up taking it to a garage. They had to replace the coils and spark plugs. This cost me about $1,300.Not more than 2 hours after getting my van back from the garage, some of my dashboard lights start going on & off, then staying on...then it got worse & interior lights were flicking..etc,So at this point I am very upset of all the van issues I am having, especially after two repairs in about a week & 1/2.We bring it back to the garage. This is when the garage figured out I had a faulty alternator...so they replaced that with another more expensive one.So now this 2nd trip to the garage, cost me about $500.00.Now, AutoZone says they have warranties & you can submit a claim for the damages caused by the faulty alternator. So my boyfriend returned to AutoZone with the alternator and all the receipts from the garage. The store tested the alternator and confirmed it was bad. (He tried to get a copy of the results for our records, but they didnt have a printer/copier for that.) So my boyfriend told the store employee that he was going to submit a claim & asked how to go about it and got his money back for the alternator at that time. The manager gave him the district managers info & said to call them. He left the district manager (Rebecca Cunningham) a detailed voice mail regarding our claim. He never heard back from her.But then the Vernon store manager Jasmine called him & said he was given the incorrect contact info & Jasmine said to drop off the claim information to her. Which he did do.Then Jasmine said the claim was denied because they not longer had the alternator that we returned, at the store. The store had returned it to the manufacturer. So because the store, who knew we were submitting a claim, returned the faulty part back, that store is denying our claim! They do not stand by their customers and are making us at fault for what they did at the store! We had no idea that we needed the part to process our claim or any idea that they would return it & that would affect our claim. Now I am out over $1,800 because we bought a faulty alternator at AutoZone!Brandy M.
Great service. It seems like just about everyone there is knowledgeable and ready to help.
Service is a hit or miss. You have to know what your looking for and have knowledge or else you might be back for a second trip
Super awesome!!!
Helpful people.
Great place, to get what you need. For your car.
Helpful & knowledgeable staff. Quality parts. Understaffed.
Very helpful and willing to help explain things to you.
They are always helpful & they know what they are talking about.
Helpful friendly knowledgeable about everything in your Auto Parts
I only go to auto zone .No complaints
