I recently traveled 3.5 hours from NY to Vernon Chevy w/ my fiancé to purchase a new truck. I spoke with Geoff over the phone and had the pleasure of doing business with Miguel and Geoff in person. The two of them were nothing but great. They were informative and honest. They made the buying experience a pleasure & Miguel even had us laughing for almost the entire duration of the purchase. No gimmicks & they did not charge over MSRP like the other dozen dealerships I dealt with told me they were going too. Just an overall good experience & I highly recommend.

I recently moved to the area and found this dealership in close proximity to my home. Love their location on a main road. The dealership was bright, clean, and modern. Im a long-time/loyal Equinox owner and particularly proud of my 2019 Diesel. My car is my baby and I only have it serviced by a trusted Chevy dealer. I scheduled a routine oil change by phone, but didnt receive an email confirmation. No big deal, however, as they were expecting me upon arrival. My service agent was friendly and engaging. Im from a big city where they routinely work on diesel engines. I was a little nervous learning this dealership didnt see many of these. The Technician performing the work on my vehicle came out and reassured me not to worry. I waited outdoors, ate my dinner, and several employees checked on me and were very friendly. :) All went well and my car is running like a champ. Thanks Carter Team!

Great experience at Vernon Chevrolet! Melona was the first person I spoke with and was very pleasant. First, she put me on the fast track to getting my truck reserved and the loan process started. Once we got the ball rolling, she then set me up with Geoff in the sales department. I spoke with him a few times to iron out details and set up a time for delivery/ sale of the truck. I finished off doing finance paperwork with Nej and he made it a quick process. Great team!

I had an appointment for 10am. I dropped my son off at day camp and when I got home I realized he forgot his water bottle in my truck. I started to head to his camp and called Vernon Chevy and spoke with someone in service and told them my issue and I told them I might be 10-15 minutes late. The service department person said “as long as it’s not more than 10 minutes”. I have purchased many vehicles from this dealership over the past 20 years and the people I used to deal with in Service (Amanda Smith) would have assured me whenever I can get there I’ll be taken care of. I’m normally a very punctual person and usually come 15 minutes before my appointment time so I would think I should have a little wiggle-room on the off chance I’m running a little late. Not the “as long as it’s not more than 10 minutes” Also you advertise free wifi while you wait and yesterday I ran several data speed tests and the wifi in the waiting room was providing around 2-5 mbps which is dismal. If you advertise free wifi at least have a functioning wifi or just take the signs down and do not provide it.

Great experience! I found a pre-owned car on kbb.com, and I was a little skeptical, especially since I live several hours away. Melona sent me a customized video which was great. Even though it was a make of car they dont usually sell, she was very familiar with all the features. I drove four hours to see it- and it was exactly as promised. Pristine!! She had all the paperwork ready to go with NO surprises. Melona and Nej were well prepared and in just over an hour I was on my way. They were also very honest. When they forwarded my out of state paperwork, they included a small refund check for something they found I had overpaid! I would highly recommend them.

I was on the hunt for a 2013 corvette for a year when I stumbled upon the one Vernon Chevrolet had. Upon calling I spoke with Kevin from BDC who was extremely pleasant and knowledgeable, easily scheduled a test drive with him. After going there only an hour before closing (working in a dealership, I understand this can be frustrating though It was my only option) I was greeted IMMEDIATELY by Melona Cruz who was eager to get me on the test drive. After my test drive of the flawless car, I sat and of course discussed numbers and options on the car. She made the process comfortable and quick. The next day I got a call from finance manager Nej Saydam who was very friendly and he told me I was approved on the car! He gave me a few options and made it clear I had plenty of time to decide! Once I decided what I wanted to do he congratulated me, and got paperwork going. Cut to a couple days later Melona went over the car with me, swapped my plates and Nej did paperwork (didn’t push any unwanted items on me) and I was out in 20 minutes. Absolutely stellar team who truly wants to help each and every customer that walks in the door. Very comfortable experience from knowledgeable staff! Will absolutely be returning for my next car.

I had a great experience working with Leo the sales man to trade my truck he is really good salesman he has experience and the patient to answer all my questions to make sure that was The vehicle that I was looking for Unfortunately when I was time to take my truck home the truck has some scratches all the way around the truck and is a black truck you can see every single scratch in 3-D and the financial person call me a month later to go back and re-sign all the paperwork because my payment will be higher for misunderstanding or mistake making the paperwork The truck is missing some parts on there is two months later and I haven’t get those parts for my truck it is really frustrating other than the dealer is very clean and The people working there is very friendly

Dealer will not honor the warranty on my 50k chevy 2500hd. The front brakes have been replaced 5 times yes 5 times in 35 days, as well as master cylinder lines and hoses. The truck us at Cargill chevy today, and I will be paying out of pocket, to be safe. The district manager Peter Larsen was screaming at us on the phone demanding the loner truck back and insisted we had to take our truck back even though they did not fix the brakes. Carter chevy has caused much stress. Lost time from work,sleepless nights and have ruined our happiness leading to our up coming wedding. I have been a chevy guy my entire life, I am outraged and appalled at how we are being treated. I look forward to speaking to the v.p. of sales and marketing. We feel that Mr Peter Larsen is a very bad representation of your company and product.My trust is gone.

Every experience I have had with Carter Service has been subpar and this latest was just as poor. I brought my New Silverado in for a leaky rear window months ago. After having my truck for a full day they told me they needed to order special screws for the repair. After 3 weeks I had not heard from them so I called to see if the parts were in, they said they came in several days ago and someone should have contacted me. We scheduled an appointment for the repair and I brought the truck in on scheduled day. I did not hear from them all day so I called them for a status and they told me they did not reseal the window as planned and they were going to replace the entire rear window but they need to order the part. Several weeks later, the part finally arrives in and we scheduled a third appointment. I arrived first thing in the morning to drop the truck off. When I asked what time it will be ready they said it could take 2-3 days. (To replace a window? I asked…) I had not planned to be without my truck for that long and had to reschedule a fourth appointment for a week later. I dropped my truck off again on Monday morning. With no word from Carter Service late Wednesday afternoon I call them. Again, my truck is still not ready. “Hopefully tomorrow” the advisor told me. Thursday at noon I call again and I’m told it is almost ready just “need to finish up some paperwork? After 4 more full days in the shop I finally got to pick up my truck. (New Year’s Eve) On my way home I notice an add rattle / tapping noise. When I got home I noticed that somehow they knocked out one of the cabin air circulation blocks out and it is now lodged between the cab and the truck bed.I called to speak with the service manager and he could really care less that I was so displeased and simply scheduled a fifth appointment to repair something that they broke.Other general displeasure I have with Carter is they have never washed the vehicle after any service appt. One time I complained to my sales person and he took it around and washed it for me. Also when I have needed a loaner they put me in a little Equinox, not something comparable to the full sized vehicle I purchased from them. (The other local Chevy dealer, Gengras, always does both.)My wife had taken her car there for repairs (error messages) and is also very dis-satisfied. One of the errors took two full day appointments to repair (warranty) the second time (intermittent backup camera failed) they were unable to ID / replicate the problem yet still charged her $49.Needless to say we will no longer be using Carter Chevrolet for anything in the future.

I waisted a lot of gas and time going back and forth trying to fix the leak in ac, It should have been fixed 100% the first time with a dealer and the die they put it to find leaks. They said it is all set and no leaks found .After going back the second time in less than 2 weeks it stopped blowing cold air, returned it to have them tell me it is leaking from a gasket. Then 1 week later returned again 3 leaks later .They sent it to an outside ac garage to fix.

I have been taking my truck to get serviced at Carter Chevrolet since I bought it back in 2014. I am disappointed to see that the change in ownership of the dealer has changed the style of customer service in the service department. I can no longer hold out hope that it will change. Prior to the new owners if there was an issue with the service and I had to bring my vehicle back to the dealer the service reps would not only apologies a number of times but they made sure that the customer was taken car of, like a complimentary car wash, oil change, or they discounted the next service. I never had to ask. It was like a family owned business and they took care of the customers.Unfortunately, I will be looking for a new shop to get the service done on my truck.

I had just made my last payment on my other vehicle. Then, BAM! I needed another vehicle for hauling and moving. After checking out several dealerships in the area. I went to Carter. Found the Truck at a price I could not ignore! Geoff from The Sales Department was great! Nejder from Loan Department was able to work with me. NO downpayment. AND most of all... this was the first time I bought a Brand NEW vehicle for myself! The Service Department still needs a to get with the program, which has ALWAYS been an issue for years. But overall, I really liked these guys!! Thanks!!

No way to use the DCFC (CCS/SAE) - which is not even in use - because all spots are taken, most of them by hybrids with their tiny battery, left there over the weekend that don’t need charging. Even cars parked behind the EV parking spots, blocking the DCFC. Only possible to charge by parking in a no-parking spot and using a slow charger, w/ freezing temps and off-hours having to run the heat hardly giving enough of a charge.

This past Saturday morning I went in for an oil change and recall. This is the first time visiting this dealership. Despite arriving early for my morning appointment, everything was completed in the time promised. Everyone there was friendly, the waiting room is quiet and comfortable, and they even have single-cup coffeemakers there for use. As for the price, it came in a few dollars below what I was quoted on the phone a few days prior. They even have a frequent-service card where every 5th oil change is free.Based on all of this, I will definitely be going there again in the future.Update, 11/2/19:Went for another oil change today. Had planned on doing front brakes as well, but they told me that the measurement shows I can go a while longer before actually needing them. It is nice to know that they arent going to sell me services I dont actually need.I feel comfortable enough going here that my wife now brings her leased Nissan for basic service here as well. Her appointment was soon after mine, and they got her in and out promptly.When I decide to start hunting for my next vehicle, they will definitely be considered.

I brought my truck here for service after purchasing it from another dealer a bit further away from me. My dealer talked to this dealer to get my tire pressure light fixed. They took it in once and the issue persisted so I brought it in again for another go to fix the issue. They didnt even put a mile on my car. It was never test driven to check if the issue was fixed - on a tire issue. I called up the owner of Carter Chevy and the local Honda dealer and he sided with his worker for not test driving my vehicle. Poor, poor service. The owner told me I wasnt paying for it so whats the big deal. If you cant see what the big deal is maybe you need to reevaluate your safety and customer service goals.
