You walk in and it feels like a black market. Guys in the back melting lead for sinkers. They are like a sinker shop that sells tackle. Some saltwater luers and hooks. They have a lot of different baits. Live eels, minnows, worms cut bait. I live close but I don’t go often because they open at 6a and close at 5p...I remember my first part time job lol. They do not have a lot of fresh water stuff. Mostly salt. It’s got a flea market feel to it. If they opened at 5 am and closed at 7 pm AND had fresh water stuff they would get 5 stars.

Best place in the Tidewater area to buy your lead for fishing. They sell lead to most other tackle shops.

Just stopped in because Im looking for Gotcha plugs ( I have a Spanish Mackerel fetish) although they didnt have any because everybody wants them, the staff was friendly. The shop is locally owned and operated and they have custom built sinkers. I will definitely start buying fishing equipment here. Did I mention they open at 6am, so for all you really morning fisherman this is the spot for you.

Sold some quality lead to this guy a week ago for 75 cents a pond...returned today with my last reserves from my garage, and he acted like he didnt remember the price and tried to flog me off at 50 cents. Also, I bought 3 dozen med shiners last week only to find at the dock that I had 6 small, 18 large and a dozen medium. I was fishing for perch in the ICW and this made the start of my day a little less hopeful. When I confronted them about it today I was told there is always a range in size. Ive been fishing for 55 years around this area...I know what a medium shiner looks like. Buyer beware.. I dont trust this place, the owner has a bad attitude, and today is my last trip to this place.

I called this place today for Panther Martin fishing lures and the person who answered the phone said no we dont carry those because theyre custom lures. Custom?! No theyre not!!! Theyre basic small spinning bait lures. I ended up going to Walmart and they had them on clearance for $3.50. What gets me mad is that a place that supposedly specializes in bait and tackle is so ignorant and Walmart gets it right!!!!
