Thankful for this awesome shop! All their meats are superb quality and we haven’t had a bad meal in months. Their fresh ground chuck renewed my love of burgers! Im sorry I waited so long to visit this store. I was kind of unhappy with the offerings in the adjacent markets and wandered in on a whim. Excellent quality, sound advice and great value! Highly recommended.

I have been coming to this small business for about 20 years. Everytime I am looking for that special cut of meat/poultry/lobster this is the place to go. I have tried several different butchers but none come close to the Village Butcher shop in quality or variety. If you love lobster tail, (all of theirs are 1 lb +. See the results of the one I bought. Mouth watering!! Prices are reasonable and in line with other small business butcher shops.

40+ years of quality service and meat. Its hard to find this level of perfection when it comes to meat and its a dying art. The owner takes pride in his work day in and day out.He also has some imported more exotic meats to include alligator and venison.

The servicer was rude upon first entering, guess I didn’t appear to be person of his interest. The cut of steak was nice, lobster was frozen, so when I cooked the lobster it was rubbery for 35.00! Meat was moist and of quality cut but I wouldn’t go again. I’ve had better from Outback lol

Never went in. Called in to inquire about a standing rib roast for Christmas. Man on phone was rude, acted as if I was bothering him. I saw all of the positive reviews which is why I was going to give them a shot for the first time. Given his personality, Ill take my business elsewhere.

Just started getting the grass fed steaks here and they are mouth watering, along with the pork. The owner and staff are always so helpful.

The owner is so nice... I always plan a 30 minute visit because my husband and him will talk and talk about the Redskins 🤣. Not to mention he’s a NC fan 💙. Everything is organized and looks soooo good... I can’t ever wait to get it home to cook & eat. You’ll never be disappointed!! And they have awesome package deals for families or even big cook outs. There’s not a better local shop in southeast Virginia. These guys are it. No extra trimming needed. Quality products and knowledgeable. I’ll never shop anywhere else again and am happy to drive 35 minutes to see these guys. Best in town!!

I’ve been going to Village Butcher for quite some time now and this is the only place where I purchase all my meats. I can physically see and feel the difference(health wise) from shopping here. There is such a variety(everything is USDADA approved) that you’ll lose your mind in the most positive manner. To be honest, I swing by shop almost every other day. The taste and quality doesn’t even compare to any local grocery store(chain businesses) or any other butcher shop’s in within the VA Beach vicinity(I’ve done my research). All of the beef products Ive had from there are premium quality, organic Grass-fed and Grass Finished! My favorite cut there is the Delmonico! It is the best!

By far the best butcher shop around! Customer service is always top notch, the guys are always very friendly and knowledgeable. A few months ago I started looking for bangers and lo and behold found them here. They were delicious! I think they may only offer them around St. Patricks day which matters not...they offer so many wonderful things. Try the beef tenderloin~ it is to die for! Quality meats at fair prices. Great customer service and meat!

Called 30 mins ahead the day before mothers day, and asked for chuck roast and rack of ribs. When i got there. The place was so clean . He only allowed 4 people in at a time so it was a bit of a wait. But he had everything wrapped up and ready in about 15 mins. And i was out the door. Highly reccommend this shop. He has alot of meats that the big corps do not. Very clean shop.

The meats are so fresh and properly processed that you dont have to worry about cooking it the day you get it, and no guessing if its still good because I have never had any thing turn on me from this place. The family packs are so perfect and save you so much money over any of the grocery store meats. I buy the pack for 2 and its perfect for my adult son and I. The folks are friendly and really do give you what you want!

I have been going to this mom and pop business for almost 1.5 years. I found it searching on the internet for local butcher shops since we go to VA Beach a few times a year to stock up on fresh local meat. We love that this butcher shop sells PRIME filet mignons, other PRIME meats, chicken, turkey, beef, pork and an assortment of exotic meat. We call ahead usually and then go in and pick it up as well as some last minute meats. You can get the filets cut in several different sizes and we have requested up to 16 filets before. They have a ton in stock. Try this place out if you love fresh meat, want to support local, want friendly service, etc. These are the best prime filet mignons you can get to cook yourself! Prices are good too!

Amazing place to buy quality meat! Visit regularly for their dog food and ever since, our Belgian malinois has been able to pack on more muscle and weight. The combination of beef, veal, and pork has her coat absolutely glowing and she rarely sheds anymore! Excellent service here, always friendly, and very personal!

Having just moved to the area, I needed to find a quality butcher shop.. Supermarket meats just dont do it for me. I need properly aged and well taken care of beef. I read the reviews and decided to give the Village Butcher Shop a try. I am so happy I did. The steaks are some of the best I have had. Pork chops delicious. It is some of the highest quality meat I have found. I live about 20min away and it is worth the drive. Friendly, knowledgeable, and the some of the best meats I have found anywhere.Do yourself a favor and just buy one of his steaks, youll be hooked!

Great customer service, fantastic product! I recently purchased my second bulk order of chicken and ground beef, and really cant say enough good things about them. The owner even helped carry most of my order to my car for me. Prior to finding them, I bought all my meat from the supermarket. I will never do that again. The price and quality at the Village Butcher are hands-down better than any supermarket. Plus, its all local meat, or as close to local (some might come from PA or NC depending on the time of year), as you can get. Cant say that about a supermarket. So if you care about feeding yourself and your family with pastured and grass-fed meat, and also want knowledgable, friendly service, you will not be disappointed.

Found this little gem tucked away in Hill top west shopping cntr. Im from a place in South Jersey and a time when this type of shop is were you purchased your meats,was very pleasantly surprised to find one like this in todays environment,, fresh country pork sausage was excellent, and even had Pheasant which I hadnt had in 30 years,very clean store with very pleasant and knowledgeable shop keeps, will always come back,highly recomend!

The owner is amazing. My husband and I do his family packs. They have portioned out a little bit everything and its all Soo good. Just got the pulled bbq today and it does not disappoint.
