Da’ Shack is an interesting farmer’s market where the owner cuts the vegetables for customers from her garden on the spot. Melba and her daughter Donna are so sweet and give wonderful customer service.I love that you can get quality local organic produce at affordable prices without extra plastic packaging and waste if you bring your own totes. My favorites are kale, collards, lettuce, cilantro, green onions, squash, onions, jalapenos, tomatoes, and japanese mustards. I gave her some seeds for perilla leaves (깻잎), Chinese eggplants, and Thai basil, which are hard to find in Waco. I hope she can get many Asian customers looking for these herbs!

Everything in the store is reasonably priced, its all organic and try the cantaloupe....sweet as sugar....you wont find better produce, plants & herbs anywhere in Waco for the price and the good Christain spirit of the family who own it.
