I really like that this Advance Auto Parts has a great selection of goods with sales on a lot of their products. I, however, detest the interactions I have with associates. Associates act as if answering questions and assisting customers is not a part of their job. I am never greeted in a friendly manner upon entering or thanked for my business upon exit and do not feel valued as a paying customer. As I stated, awesome selection with not so awesome customer service.

My son went into the store at S. Main Street in Wake Forest and asked for wiper blades for his 2009 Nissan Versa SL Hatchback. The man at the counter said,They dont make them anymore. My son meant the wiper blade refills (replacement blades). The man looked it up and so, No, we dont have any. This was my sons first experience buying car accessories and parts since he started driving.My son, then went to Auto Zone, asked for the exact same thing, and got exactly what he needed within five minutes.The Auto Zone employee even showed him how to put them on.The lack of customer service at this Advance Auto Parts location was poor. The man could have at least asked my son did he mean the replacement blades ...most employees would have understood what he was asking for in order to assist the customer. The guy today on Sunday, October 10th at 12:10 pm was a very poor example of good customer service. We have been loyal customers of Advance Auto in Wake Forest for over 10 years.On their website, it said they had it in stock at their sister store/Car Quest. Now, we will probably got to AutoZone first for our automotive needs because of their good service vs. Advance Auto Parts poor service today.

Had a flat tire on my work vehicle in Wake Forest and was able to make it into the parking lot at advanced auto. After inspecting the work truck for tools I did not have a lug wrench to break the lugs loose on the rim. I politely went into advanced auto and asked the young blonde headed girl that worked there could I use one of the lug wrenches they have in behind the counter. The lady was very rude and said she couldnt help me out I would have to spend $30 and buy one. Thats whats wrong with the world now nobody wants to help someone out thats in need. I refuse to ever visit Advanced auto again especially this location. I would advise anyone else to the do the same.
Decent source of parts for a franchise. Best place in town when you cant wait for Parts Geek or Rock Auto.

First off I need more than 5 stars for this review. I was having issues with my battery today and went to have it tested and purchase a new one. Raven was absolutely wonderful to deal with. The location of my battery is in a most unusual place and there was no way for them to replace it for me. She recommended a local shop to take it to. Battery was so bad I couldnt drive anywhere. Im stuck in the parking lot with no idea what Im going to do. She called the place she recommended and they sent someone to come and look at my car. She stayed outside with us the entire time that my car was being fixed. I cant thank her enough for her knowledge and kindness. I will definitely continue shopping at Advance Auto.
Had a great experience with John (store manager) last weekend and can’t speak highly enough towards his help. My check engine light came on and I brought my car into my auto body shop for their input. After receiving a $1300 estimate towards “needed” repairs, I brought my car over to Advance and got free diagnostic testing. Based off the diagnosis, John told me that only a very small portion of overall repair was needed to resolve the check engine problem. Moreover, given his past history as a mechanic, he even recommended trying to go under the dealership so it would potentially be covered under my warranty. I did exactly that, and got all the repairs completed (parts, labor, etc) for $0.00. He even was kind enough to continually answer my questions by phone after I left the physical store itself regarding potential next steps. Without his incredible insight and experience, I would of ended up spending a lot more money than needed. He went above and beyond for me and I sincerely appreciate their commitment to their customers! -Regina D.

Best parts store in Wake Forest. Over the past 13 years they exhibit great customer service. Also, have the fastest turn around on special order or out of stock items. Great staff!
Drove all the way from Southern WV to see the Wake Forest fire works celebration and lo and behold, dead battery! These guys at Advance were friendly, fast and very accommodating! Even though a huge thunderstorm was looming in the distance Dan installed the battery like a boss! Michael was the man behind the counter and was equally friendly and helpful. Were considering moving to the Wake Forest area, and people like these guys are actually helping to make up my mind. When we do move, this will be my auto store of choice!
Yesterday I was shopping at Advans but is old guy work over there he is very mean and rude he never have a good customer service I left the store so mad I went to AutoZone they have very good customer service and helping me
Ive always had above average customer service, nothing to write home about and they have had about 90% of all the parts Ive needed. The prices are decent and there is usually a good better best selection when it comes to car parts. Best thing for me is its next to the American Pride Express wash which is awesome and free vacs.
Typical Advance Auto. I try to avoid them like the plague, it was Sunday, so Napa was closed, and I bought AutoZone out of a brake line fitting needed 1 more of.I didnt have question, I knew what I needed, just needed someone to take my money. I picked the part up and went and waited, with 3 people working the counter. One was with a customer, looking up parts that the customer ended up not buying. Another made a quick dash to the door, and the third, as is typical, was more interested in taking phone calls. Once she got off the phone, a friend of her arrived, so she dashed out the door to help. So Im stuck waiting, to hand them cash, behind the guy asking parts questions.I put the part back, went to AutoZone in Rolesville, got the part, handed them the money and was out the door.Also, a 3/16 brake tube nut is $5.99, but at Napa is under $2 for the same product, and $3.99 at AutoZone.
That was the wake Forest store. The young lady that served us was fantastic she was so helpful. While the didnt have the part for a Harley Davidson air line she gave us a list of other stores to try. I found that very refreshing from a corporate auto parts store

I went to another advanced auto parts store off of Durant. They gave me the wrong part. They didn’t bother looking up my specific trim and need. And they didn’t ask me the right questions about my vehicle. Then I went to this one and spoke with Diane who not only asked me the right questions but she had to do some trouble shooting to find me the right part. She was knowledgeable and fast. The other older guys also working were taking their sweet time dragging their feet doing their tasks and griping about someone like a bunch of old hens all the while not offering to help the line of people behind me. If you go there, see Diane. She was great.
Any time I go to Advance Auto in Wake Forest or Franklinton everyone there is great. Tony the manage of the Wake Forest Store is top notch and has a good crew working for him. Always have what I need. It bothers me to see places get bad reviews from disgruntled more than likely always disgruntled persons . I dont take much merit from negative reviews. Obviously it is a good company or it wouldnt be there any more. I will always get my parts from them. You can please some of the people some of the time and then there are the other ones.

My wife went in to pick up some brake pads for me. They tried to sell her the expensive type (which were more than 2x the price of the economy version), without telling her all of the options available. And they were very short and impatient, and when she sheepishly admitted that she didnt know a lot about cars, the attendant said yeah. maybe you shouldnt be trying to play Marco Polo with this sort of stuff. Definitely very frustrating for my wife, and me. A necessary evil, since I needed the parts, but terrible CS.

Sunday the 8th at 1030am. Grabbed a couple of things and stood at the cashiers desk 5 minutes while two counter people helped others, waited patiently. Guy walks up after Ive been standing patiently, and they cash him out. The guy at the counter saw me standing there, cut his eyes over at me and kept rolling. Left my stuff on the counter and walked out, will not ever walk back in again.

I had to patch up my tail pipe, and one of the clerks advised me against using a particular epoxy that wouldnt hold up to high temperature, rather than just letting me go ahead and purchase it. Additionally they let me test fit tail pipe adapters which was helpful.
Its ok. No special effort made to do anything out of the ordinar y. In fact, I was dismissed because what I needed wasnt listed. Thanks. For absolutely nothing.

Worst customer service. I went in to return a part for a return core charge. The kid working there refused to return it, he had a rude attitude and refused to look up anything about my car I asked him about. I had a coupon for $5 off $30 or more. Wouldnt take that. When I spoke to the manager at a later date he just said oh Ill talk to him didnt offer to take the core back or accept my coupon. I will never use advance auto parts again because of the fact that they would allow this to happen in their stores
