Incredible sandwiches, try the pesto chicken sandwich for sure! Great place for a quick lunch around Brandeis University! Good environment to sit and work too.

Just had a very tasty meal and the most superb service. Had a meatball and cheese and my daughter was gifted a giant delicious chocolate chip cookie.

South Street Cafe is officially OPEN again! The staff is very kind and working hard to sanitize everything frequently between customer visits. They even put up plastic barriers across the entire counter space! I felt very comfortable coming here for my lunch and coffee. The hours are a bit different now, so make sure to check out the new sign in front of the door. This cafe has a very nice selection of sandwiches, soups, bakery sweets, and beverages/coffee. Be sure to stop by to support this local business during hard times!

A great sandwich shop located near the Brandeis train station. It has a good selection of sandwiches that you can customize and they usually have 3-4 different types of hot soups. Its only a few minutes away from the campus and is worth the walk.

Always like going here. The white bread is really delicious, always crispy crust with soft inside. The hot peppers and sort of pickle relish stuff you can get on the sandwich are really good. Not a huge menu, but what they do they do well. Maybe slightly pricey, but Im totally willing to pay a little more for something local and good.

Great little sandwich shop. Limited menu of sandwiches, salads and some soups. I worked in the area and ate here off and on for five years. Good fresh sandwiches. I particularly enjoyed ones with either roma tomato, miozz and prosciutto, or chicken salad with cranberries. Excellent cookies too. I dont know if they bake them in-house or what but theyre fantastic.

Sandwich was good, but as others said, pricey. Go to Prime Deli down the street instead. Also, this place isn’t open for long in terms of hours, which is annoying.

OMG - do not bother. i work at brandeis and just went for a small BLT...1/2 piece of bacon for over 6.00
