Isnt it wonderful that you can go to a library and find books on just about any subject? And isnt it even better that you can order books on interlibrary loan? I often find an author I like, and then I ask the Library to get me the earliest books by an author. This is especially good when the book is in a series. EPL is a blessing.

I used to Love Menards always thought it was better than Lowes but it wasnt until this Covid Cover Up in the beginning of 2020 that changed my taste about big box stores altogether and I wasnt sure which one it was going to be but the Menards Manager had been rude enough at the right moment and said the right thing to cause me to allow myself to speak wrongly. I admit I was having a one off day also. So Idk your name but I want to apologize!!! I just havent done so formally to try to avoid any possible hard feelings. Now that the dust is settling on Covid. I can back to leaving suspensful reviews and enjoying the people places and things of this WIDE WIDE WORLD. Much Love and God Bless

Menards is always our go-to for Home Improvements, they have the better prices and the best customer service. We recently went to another Home Improvement store and waited 15 minutes for someone to help us. They announced three times on the loudspeaker and still no one came. It was just a reminder that we should be shopping at Menards anyway! Got a great deal on some shingles tonight and the man working the desk was very helpful and informative, we also got to take advantage of the 11% rebate on all purchases!

Very nice to find a wood stove for the house.

I ordered roll out laminate flooring for my shop, and sent the measurements in. Then paid to rent a trailer to haul it to my shop, my baby was due to be born shortly after so we had the baby who ended up having complications and has been in the intensive care unit since, I took a morning away from the unit to install the floor with the contractors I paid just to realize one of the rolls was cut short. Being short on time and resources with all the new arising problems I called to see if they can just give me a partial credit and we can rig the floor and cut a patch to make it work. They proceeded to tell me I’d have to remove the floor and haul it back so they can verify even tho I have pictures of the floor proving the length difference. Will not shop here again.

Good local staff. Unethical rebate game. Do yourself a favor, if you can, just go to one of the other box stores and save the 11% off the price. Dont waste your time and $ on a rebate that has to be printed, mailed, and you only get back on store credit. If you decide to play the rebate game, mail it in immediately. Missed my window 2 weeks after purchase date. Sadly, Menards is now at the bottom of my list because of being deceptive.

Very friendly staff, though a store directory like Walmarts app would be especially helpful here. Its easy to have a hard time finding what youre looking for.

Exceptional store in Washington. I am a subcontractor, flooring professional, that has worked for many Menards stores here in Illinois, Missouri and Kansas.This is the #1 store that I have and do subcontract for.When calling my clients orders in to be picked up, they are quick, efficient and courteous.The backyard employees are the best in the business. I love how you scan your receipts at the yard gate, go to a parking designation, call in with the number, and quickly are loaded.Kudos to the Manager of this store !!Corporate should be proud of this Menards store !

Lively & adorable check out woman. She was nice enough to become a friend. We had a ton of garden items too. Such a pain, but spent a lot. She had to be pooped but still had a sense of humor 🤣. Nice experience!!

Normally love Menards. Today they only had 3 slow check out lanes. I left after waiting 15 minutes, and the cashier had to turn on her light for help with the lane I was in

Comedy day asking where to purchase propane.was told exchange tanks out front were empty,so I need to buy a new tank in the store, manager says go to plumbing,nope not there, cashier says they are over there, wherever that is.gave up and went to Walmart and THEY KNEW WHERE I NEEDED TO GO!

They had something miss priced on shelf . Instead of honoring their mess up & price match it the lazy manager just looked up on his handheld & says nope it’s this . I even showed customer service a pic of shelf but nope . At least the lady at customer service was nice

Rudest employees we have ever dealt with at a Menards. Employees were not helpful, one ignored us in the kitchen cabinet department for 20 minutes. Finally went and searched for someone else to help us from another department. After checking out we ask a kid getting carts from parking lot how to get back to the yard to pick up our items. He looked at us and said “umm I’m not real sure it’s around the side of the building but not sure which side”. After finding where we needed to go the gentleman at the guard shack never spoke, when asked which # to go to he turned and pointed that way. We will continue to do our shopping at Menards in Pekin.

The service and management (Brandon) was pathetic. Loews looks really good.

I enjoy the prices I can find at Menards. If youre willing to play the rebate game, then theyre even better. The Covid response has been pretty strong however. Not being able to take my kids in the store even if they had masks on has lead me to seek other stores when I have my kids with me (which is a lot of the time).

Usually I do not like going to Menards. You cannot find anyone who can help you. Or they dont know anything about the apartment theyre working in. But this time I called the store on a pricethe lady who dealt with me with my water tank had it ready for me when I got there made the trip so easy for me its windier I had three little ones and she had everything ready for me to walk and get the item and believe it was the first time that I did not have bad experience in Menard

This particular visit was not as good as usual. Most of the time employees are super helpful. Today, the service was lacking. Everyone has a bad day though, and there may have been reasons I know nothing about. One experience wont change my opinion that Menards is the best for helpful staff!

It’s my go to place for everything. The staff at Menards are polite and friendly. Deals are there. I go at least one to two times a week. Wife says they get at least 50% of you pay check. Put she can’t complain because most is for her❗️

I have spent a great deal of money with this establishment, especially after seeing how well they have handled COVID-19 protocol and require masks and plenty of space and I’m always seeing staff sanitizing everything. I have a lot of respect for businesses who do so.This review goes specifically to the manager working last night (May 31st) I believe her name was Sam.My son and I wanted to pay for a pool and pick it up in the morning, as we’ve done with many items. (I don’t want to drive my gas guzzling truck unless truly necessary for hauling) it was right at close and she refused the sale. We came in at 8:00 am the following morning and the pools were gone. How exactly does an item sell after close and before open yet I was unable to purchase it?

Me and my family go to this Menards a lot we have spent thousands of dollars here today we went and got some wood and some cement and they called the cops on us because we looked suspicious I have never been so embarrassed in my life I asked the officer if you would like to see the receipt he said no I am not understanding the point of the phone call to the police Im never going to the store again

Always a good experience at Menards.

My future son in law was having an issue with a fence delivery he was expecting. Nobody got upset. Nobody made any excessive demands. The manager Skylar dealt with was very professional, and turned the issue into a non-issue. We only live about three miles away, so it is our go to store. It will be even moreso, now.

Overall a great experience, just a shame they cant keep simple things in stock like doors and studs. Seems that their distribution centers and inventory control need some serious help.

You can never find anyone to help you

When I came to pick up some landscape timbers after paying inside drove around to pick up upon going by check in was asked do you know where you’re going I said noThe man said well they’re over against the building but no further indication as he went back in his shack. Not helpfulI did find my item after driving around the back and they were away from the building not against it

Went to buy a $500 shed got no help. They acted like I was a issue for asking about anything and sent me on the run around. Went and talked to a manager before I left and they acted like they didnt give a shot either. Definitely will take my money elsewhere. Waste of time

Menards has always tried to go above and beyond with my issues I have had in the past. I wont degrade my score because of these issues because everyone has them if you go as many times as I do for any store. The prices are fair. The staff at this place are fairly knowledgeable about the items in their area. Obviously do your own research, this place is mainly a weekend warrior store anyway.

Menards had exactly what I wanted, however the 3rd employee is the one who helped me make sure I got what I needed.

A reasonably-priced home improvement story with a vast selection. The staff sometimes are not the most helpful but generally shopping here is a positive experience. Menards has anything you could need for projects around the house and the prices are usually better than other physical stores and comparable to those online.

Very friendly, helpful staff. I never feel like Im being stalked by them when Im shopping, like I do at other places. When I do need assistance, somebody is always close by. Decent sales and lots of interesting clearance items. Was only looking for a towel bar for the bathroom, but $200 later, I finally made it out the door. 😂

The Swann security item I bought made no mention the it was only the motion sensor and needed the alarm to actually work. Now I have to go back to the store to get the functioning system. I ordered it online and confirmation print out has no bar code, so I will have some additional hassle when I try to go in the back gate for pickup.I am not a happy camper and Menards needs to get their act together!!!

Absolute worst experience Ive had at a Menards. Will never return to the rude, lazy, and inconsiderate customer service that I recieved while I was there tonight.I was told I was not allowed to checkout at the service counter. Maybe it is a store policy, idk i was not told that. I have checked out at the service desk at every menards I have been to. This time I was told otherwise after waiting in line patiently. I asked for a manager and the snobby clerk tried to persuade me from seeing the manager because he was busy helping checkouts at the other end of the store. I insisted that I speak with the manager and after she called him, she said that he could see me at the other end of the store. I am extremely upset at this point. It defeats the purpose for the manager to come over and give the okay to checkout a disabled veteran at the side that is closest to his car so he doesnt have to walk further causing more inflammation and pain. But I did walk over there and wait in line to see the manager not assisting anyone, but just waiting to call on the intercom that they were closing soon. After checking out, I asked if he was the manager and asked why I could not checkout at the service counter. He said he was the manager and then gave me the bs answer, you cant checkout there. And then proceeded to look at me like I was just crazy to think that I could. No other answer, just blew me off saying that he agrees to disagree. Its sad that is how managers act and it blows my mind to think that is who gets paid more than the actual workers. I may not look disabled from someone that doesnt know that Ive had 3 hip surgeries, tailbone surgery, and a laundry list of other surgeries and injuries to make my disability rating so high but its disgusting to see that amount of laziness and disregard to customer service from a store manager.

My son just moved to Washington from Normal, IL. Stopped here to get supplies to hook up his washer and dryer. Found fittings I needed, no problem, and was in and out. Did need help locating dryer vent, but employee directed me to correct aisle in different area of store.Only thing that really caught my attention was that you bag your own purchases here, which is not the case in the other Menards I have visited.

Overall, its a very clean and organized store! However, it is large and can be difficult to navigate if youre in a hurry.

Would give 5 stars but toilet paper dispensers shouldnt be above head height. They were literally so high up I questioned why they were so high.

Ordered 3 eight foot metal roof panels and they told me I had to pay 128.00 for the pallet that it came on even though I was picking it up there and not taking pallet.they said they refund money for pallet when I pick product up.if I aint taking pallet shouldnt have to pay for it.they ship it on it anyway. So cancelled order told them I would go somewhere else.there loss on profit.

Better than E. Peoria, and Pekins location. The helpers come to you. Instead of having to search them down. And the guy in the parking lot even offered to help me with loading material on the truck.

I went to look at refrigerators on October 1st. 2018 at Menards located in Washington Il.I was told that the delivery would be only 69.00. When I went to get all the paperwork done up on the refrigerator I picked out, they added on an additional 30.00 extra to the delivery saying I lived two miles farther than expected then said that because the fridge was 18cu ft, it was an additional 10.00. So they added a total of 30.00 more on at the last minute. So to anyone who reads this, be aware that what they will tell you will not be what you will pay and a person is only as good as their word.

I enjoy just walking around looking at all the home improvement things they sell. Store is super clean too.
