Small but conveniently located Bluestone. Their beverage list is impressive but their ordering system is confusing. The outdoor seating just outside is comfortable and has strong WiFi which makes it a great place to work.

The staff at the Connecticut location has always been so incredibly friendly and helpful every time I visited. They always remember my name and order and the food is always prepared fresh and in a timely fashion. The physical environment is bright, clean and spacious with outdoor seating. I highly recommend you all support this business, especially during these hard economic times!

Visited a second branch in DC after trying this in Philly. Absolutely loved it. Their rainbow bowl and breakfast bowl is super delicious and healthy, you fell full yet satisfied that youve filled your stomach with something good. Staff are very helpful as well. The seating in this branch are a bit odd given theres just some seating. But overall highly recommended.

This coffee shop is the best place ever! I love their ice cram coffee, the service was excellent. Rodrick was so friendly. We bought coffee to brew at home and he even offered to grind the coffee for us. This is my to go coffee from now on.

I visited this place today in the morning and I was very disappointed by the service. It took me quite a long to make the order, as there was only one clerk in the shop and he was too busy in preparing the orders and attending the customers. I ordered a simple espresso and waited more than 10 minutes without much success. When I approached the bar to ask for some explanations, the clerk responded rudely and said I just had to wait, as they were back up in their orders and they could not serve the customers quickly. I replied stressing that I had been waiting for long time and that such wait was well beyond the normal. The additional reply continued to be rude and I left the store without taking my coffee. Final point, the clerk with whom I interacted and one of his colleagues who was working in the kitchen were both not wearing the mask properly, as they were leaving the nose above the line of the mask. This is clearly a violation of the legislation and a serious threat to customers health. Certainly not a place I would recommend.

One of the best place for breakfast on lunch in the area!

Not the best service. Very slow day with not many customers on a Sunday, yet they got our order completely wrong. Better yet they expected us to go up and get the new fixed order instead of walking it to us. Poor service

I am sharing this review to thank Mateo for his kind and caring service yesterday. I believe he was on his own, running the shop when I came in for lunch. Understaffing is a huge issue in hospitality right now, and I felt for you Mateo! Nearly jumped behind the counter to help you!! Yet you showed such great attitude. Also, the restrooms indicate that they are for employees only, but if you ask you may use them.

Food was very fresh and good portion. Packaging is thoughtful. Coffee was good. Nothing spectacular.This location was under staffed for a Sunday morning. Not only did they mess up our order but it took about 15 mins or so to get 2 coffees and 2 sandwiches. There were people there before us that hadn’t had the food yet.Solid food/coffee but that wait time can be fixed.

Could use more staff in the morning, 15 minute wait for an iced coffee with only a few people in line. One guy was hustling trying to complete in-person and online orders at the same time, not his fault for the wait.

Finally made it to this fab coffee shop. The iced chai was top notch and the avocado toast looked like it was made with 2+ avocados. Gorgeous space, kind employees and great food/drink.

The location is not on Connecticut Ave, is on 18 st, great place 🔥 👌 to have a breakfast, kind highly price.

Excellent coffee and good light bites

Following my friends suggestion, we came to Bluestone for coffee. I really liked it. I tried a Latte with almond milk and a goat cheese toast, the toast was really yummy.

Great tasting food, petite portions at the price. Nice presentation and quality simple ingredients. Ive been twice so far.

It all depends who is working. Some people take pride in serving others and others take pride in serving rules that suit them. I was asked to order on the machine instead of talking to the person who made that request. I come every week and normally speak with a person to order and the food is very good. When I entered the order it asked me for the size coffee - I put large. There was no place to make a note about my sandwich which included cheese that I didn’t want. I asked the employee for help. He insisted I would find it. I kept trying and could not. He came over. Spent a few minutes typing and couldn’t find it either. Later when the food came out from the kitchen, I still had not received my coffee. I went to the counter and asked for my large coffee. He said I would only get a small because the combo only allowed a small even though it offered me the choice - that was IT’s software problem he said. The egg sandwich was greasy today.

Although Bluestone Lane has several locations throughout the city, this location is my favorite. The staff is so nice, and the food is always excellent. It’s always a good day when I start my day and breakfast here. Thanks to the staff 🌸

Fantastic coffee! Plenty of seating and lots of natural light (2 walls are windows floor to ceiling).

Food is excellent. Reasonable price. Great service. I had the Almond Oatmeal and Avocado Toast w/ The Lot (classic avo mash, cherry tomatoes, feta, prosciutto & chili flakes).

Update: June 2021-Still great coffee and that is the heart of Bluestone Lane. Service is excellent too. But, they are understaffed (a sign of the times) and, c’mon guys, time to open the bathroom again. After all, we only rent coffee, we don’t buy it 😂Excellent coffee. Friendly service. Nice atmosphere and tasty menu (highly suggest poached eggs on avo toast).However, bakery items are generally unimpressive, lacking in flavor and quality ingredients. Selling day (or two) old blueberry muffins is just not cool. This is particularly a problem with a big, reliable chain just across the street. Support local is my approach, but local must step up to compete.

This place was absolutely incredible. Our server, Megan, went above and beyond and gave us a phenomenal experience. The food was excellent— I had the avocado toast and it really impressed me. Chic coffee house with wholesome food options for breakfast and lunch. Coffee blend is medium roast for brewed coffee it is flavorful combo of spices if you take it without sugar you can taste all the flavor notes in their blend. If you want diary free options for milk they have it.

Great little coffee shop. The coffee is delicious as is there food. They dont have a lot on the menu but what they do have is good. I had coffee and the ricotta,berry&mint toast.

Great place to sit down and have coffee maybe relax or do some work. Big windows all around to allow for a lot of natural light. The outdoor seating is pretty nice eith umbrellas.

In my opinion this place has one of the best avocado toasts in the DC area, and Im extremely picky! The plate which is a cutting board, is awkward ~ but the toast is beyond compare! If you love a gourd avocado toast dont miss this one.

They say if you do something well, you should keep doing it until you find a way to make this good thing better. Such is the case with Bluestone Lane.For us folks who work in the Dupont/ Farragut area, the walk to the closest Bluestone Lane was more than a casual trip. Hence it was not on our 3PM coffee list.But with the opening of their newest outpost off Connecticut, that issue has been resolved :)After waiting (rather impatiently) for them to open shop, we gave this place a try for some coffee and bites.The staff seems to be ready and prepared for helping their customers on day one. There does not seem to be any opening jitters, hard edges that need to be rounded!The store is bright and welcoming with all the glass, and the smaller space (compared to West End) does not factor in with the quick customer service. There is enough seating for a few groups tho, it might get crowded as the word of this store spreads.The food and coffee options mirror the other locations - which is all good! I tried their cold brew and avocado toast and came away satisfied!The avocado toast here is on my top 5 list!They do have an assorted selection of food items that I will be trying in the near future and maybe a serving of affogato to go along.Glad to have you near us Bluestone Lane!

Honestly, its some of the best coffee Ive ever had. Their espresso drinks are fantastic. I tried their brownie too- wow, they’ve truly perfected my favourite dessert. Great addition to the dupont circle neigbourhood :)

One of the best flat whites Ive had in DC. Their coffee has a distinct flavor profile, really creamy and sweet.

Great iced lattes and nice location. I also love that is moderately noisy and spacious which makes it a great place to have a chat with friends or coworkers or pull out the laptop to do some work.

Loved the coffee and the breakfast salad but unfortunately wasn’t able to use the “high speed WiFi” and there were no electric sockets for my laptop.

This Australian chain has wonderful ambiance, friendly and helpful staff, and really good food. I was a big fan of the mango chia pudding, but the avocado toasts and iced chai lattes seemed really popular too.

Tried this place recently for the Golden Latte 😍. Plan on going back frequently and the shop itself is lovely, bright and airy atmosphere and friendly, helpful staff.

I absolutely l LOVE everything about this place! Let’s start with the decor. Turquoise is my favorite color so the blue and sea green color scheme drew me in immediately. The lay out and ambiance makes you feel like you’re in a beautiful beach home. I have an odd obsession with the interior decoration of bathrooms and this bathroom is perfect! Ok now to the best part: the food! This sandwich is the best I’ve ever had in DC and I’m from NY where all we do is eat sandwiches from the corner bodega. The Cheese & Tomato Toastie includes spinach (my fav!) and omg does it remind me so much of a spinach pizza but in a sandwich version...DELICIOUS!!! The iced tea was fresh and so refreshing (especially on a hot summer day)! Let’s not forget the amazing service! The staff is so pleasant and welcoming! They made me feel right at home and my order was ready in such a prompt and efficient manner! The manager even came over to check up on me to make sure I was pleased with everything which I thought was such a hospitable gesture! I’m so happy I found this place! I promise you will love it as much as I do!!!
