Insta worthy interior! Beautiful cafe with friendly staff and a nice outdoor patio thats great for chilling and people watching. Coffee was good. Interestingly, they have Turkish coffee, but it wasnt properly prepared. It left an unusually large amount of coffee grounds / sediments (not the usual amount one would expect with Turkish coffee), but overall Id go back.
I visited on a whim one day. With the goal of exploring the coffee shops of the nations capital I settled on this cute little cafe. I was not dissapointed! Cute interior, knowledgeable staff with alot of food & beverage options I wasnt expecting. I got a turkish coffee and a blueberry muffin. The coffee was strong with lots of flavor and the muffin was fresh and delicious. The view is nice no matter what day it is. This is a cute spot for personal time or a date. Bring your friends and tell you family!
Unfortunately this cafe doesnt let you sit in with a laptop or tablet. I asked if it was because of a time limit, but no they want people to socialize. Fair enough they put signs around to warn you. Service at the register and baristas were awkward. I originally wanted a to-go cup so when I went to see why my ice coffee was taking so long the barista lady said she was giving me a glass since we were sitting in. Almost like she was annoyed I asked. I guess that means no to go paper cups if youre seating a bit? My iced coffee just tasted like milk with chocolate drizzle in the glass. Barely any drizzle. Wouldnt recommend this cafe for most people who enjoy coffee out, unless youre also a picky person lol
We read some reviews and wanted to check this place out and what a DISAPPOINTMENT. Coffee was mediocre at best, but the designs they make for the latte were cute so we wanted to enjoy them but after we ordered and sat down outside, they started to kick people out, way before the closing time. And it was on the weekend as well. Believe me, we did not come in 5 min before the closing and demanded the service. Do not put the house for your establishment and you are not going to honor them.
I’ve been curious to try the coffee here as I usually frequent Foxtrot next door. Lovely customer service. I was pleasantly greeted with a ‘Good Morning’ when I walked in. The pastries looked great but didn’t order one. However, the hot coffee I ordered was not good. I don’t know if it was a bad batch or what they usually serve, but I couldn’t take more than one sip. I’ll give their espresso drinks a try but if you like quality hot coffee, I’d recommend elsewhere.
Beautiful vibe. Probably one of the best iced lattes Ive had.
Instagram picture worthy but the quality isn’t there. I got a mozzarella tomato sandwich and it just tasted bland. Nice to sit and chat but you can get better coffee in another nearby shop.
Nice place for coffee. Cute little blue house in Georgetown that’s a coffee shop by day, wine bar at night. Lots of natural light, aesthetically pleasing and the latte art is awesome ! We ordered latte with special print and you can choose what ever print do you want . We tride also vaklawa which was fresh and delicious. I like the place but it was a little pricey. Thanks
I want to thank and recommend Lucía because she is the best! She always gives you a great smile (you note it even with a mask on). She is very charmful and comprehensive, paying attention to everything you need and explaining with patience when you have doubts about the menu. Ive been here two times this week!
Good funky place. Good vibes, nice touche like physical mugs over disposable. Music is a bit overbearing and service can be a bit slow, however.
The coffee was ok, the service could improve. The cashier/barista seemed distracted, made us go and get our things only bc we asked for it. Pastries were good, but the service was just ok.
Basically a rip off. I went in the store this morning, and wanted to get my selfie on the coffee cream, as advertised on instagram. I showed the barista my picture and number of ripple order, she was like ok and even advised I get whole milk instead of soy for the picture to come out clear ( even though I am a bit lactose). After I paid and waited for my order, another barista came and told me that we no longer do the selfie coffee. I switched to regular latte and ordered soy milk instead. On top of all of that they promised to refund me back the difference of the customized order to regular one and they didn’t. I don’t think I trust going to this cafe again.
One of my favorite cafes in D.C.You got to try out their sesame brioche!
Beautiful indoor ambiance, ample seating, sweet barista, okay coffee!
Such a cute cafe!! Saw the Instagram pic of the daydream latte and just had to get my own! I also made my friend get the seasonal cherry blossom latte as well 😂 both were amazing. The server tells you upfront that the daydream latte isnt sweet which was a nice heads up. Pastries were pretty normal. The wine bar in the back was an unexpected surprise, unfortunately I came earlier in the day so it was closed but I cant wait to try it out sometime.Just a heads up they dont allow laptops. Some might think of this as a con but honestly its such a small space that you wouldnt be able to work there comfortably anyway. this also helps promote the customers to come in and out.
Dont kick people out after theyve bought something well before closing! Its rude. We were sitting outside 15 minutes before closing when the employee came out and told us they were closed and started folding up umbrellas, this caused us to rush to get up and dumped my drink. This is the third time on the last two days that Ive been somewhere in DC that closed early. You restaurant owners need a serious attitude change towards your customers in this town. And dont tell me that its due to the pandemic because yall dont wear your masks anyways.
We frequent Cafe Georgetown every few weekends. Today we had a horrible experience. The ordering process was rushed. We found a table in the back in the wine bar area. The bar hostess said she would clean our table shortly. Our ordered arrived. We hado ask the bar hostess to clean our table. She said that she was busy while she cleaned another glass on the bar. Then she came over and cleaned sweeping the crumbs etc off the table and dropping everything on the floor and wifes lap. Only one coffee came. My wife asked about the other two. The owner accused her of not ordering them and then of attempting nott to pay for two more coffees. The lack of skill in dealing with this small issue was insulting . Just not nice..
Nice cafe with friendly staff. The mocha was good. We also had the blue dream latte which has a mix of tea. The latte was pretty good also.
Checked this place yesterday, Very nice place! Everything is cool and great Coffee.
Love it! I’ve been to many coffee spots in the area, and this has hands down become my favorite. Friends who I have brought along love it too. It’s intimate, the coffee is delicious, the food is amazing, the staff is always friendly ... and that’s everything I look for! LOVE LOVE LOVE! And their location is great too
If I could give a zero star rating I really would based off my experience here. I waited about 25 minutes for an iced latte… and granted there was a lot of customers… but regardless it should not have taken that long. What appeared to be the management trying to “help” the baristas on bar with their drinks, actually seemed to delay my order significantly. I watched the owners micromanage their employees and over crowd the bar as i waited for my coffee. They were seemingly not nice to their baristas which made me uncomfortable to see. Other reviews on here mention how it’s a nice place to sit and “relax” however even after it slowed down and I was one of two customers in the cafe, a barista told me I’d been there for over 30 minutes and needed to leave. I understand that rule when it is busy but it was not. Don’t see how I can “relax”somewhere in under 30 minutes. Don’t waste your time or money here even for the instagram pics. Not to mention, the latte wasn’t that good.
This coffee shop in Georgetown gives off great vibes and most importantly serves good coffee. A quick chat with the owners or baristas will show you that they believe a coffee shop is meant for people to come together and chat over a drink. This is further exhibited by the laptop-free zone signs around the cafe.If youre looking for a place to work, this may not be it. However, if youre looking for a cozy place to catch up with a buddy, this place is perfect.
The service is very nice. The decoration on top of your coffee is beautiful and good for Instagram (I guess haha). Remember, youll pay a higher price to have your coffee decorated, for a coffee that is not good. But you also will enjoy the nice space that Georgetown cafe has for you. The way they decorated is cozy and the music they play is relaxing.
Delicious coffee and the nicest server I ever met.
This review is strictly based on the experience of going inside to order during covid. It is a very tight space and while the waiters were wearing masks, it was so small that you are right next to patrons eating and drinking without masks. We ended up leaving because we felt so uncomfortable. I’d recommend separating the the area people are ordering with the space people are dining inside and/or limiting the number of people inside. There wasn’t anyone or signage saying how many people could be inside
A very cute café, the people there are very nice and polite, the beautiful coffee is not only looking great but tasty, I asked the sweet lady who works there to take photo together, she is very nice and say yes😊Thank you all for giving us the great experience in the café. Will come back again in the future if ever visit D.C. again!
They have a strict and arbitrary no laptops inside policy, that apparently applies even when the interior of the cafe is almost entirely empty. It seems that maintaining this superficial and snobbish concept is more important to them than attracting new customers. I read in another review that its supposed to encourage community-building and interactions, but do they expect strangers to talk to each other during a pandemic? The policy is short-sighted, performative, and unfair to people who simply need a place to work, especially on days when the interior is relatively empty. Will not be going back unless it is changed.
The inside of the store is a bit tight with limited seating but well decorated, and the window ceilings in the back area lightened up the view! Cherry blossom latte is on the sweeter side
My absolute FAVORITE coffee shop in all of Washington, DC. Not only are the owners so sweet, but the food and drinks are absolutely delicious (not to mention beautiful!) They have themed lattes and drinks for every season/holiday and can even do latte printing as well. Im always blown away at the attention to detail and beauty of this little shop every time I visit. Its small, but cozy and aesthetic - a MUST visit in the city!
Been here ones, we had spinach borek, simit with blue latte, it was amazing. Nice stuff and cute design inside the coffee shop.
Finally a place with an unique wonderful personality. Georgetown and DC needed this, besides the coffee is the best you will get. The owners and staff are very kind and personable, brillant people if you are lucky enough to have a talk with them. This is a Gem. Will turn into a top notch spot very quicky. If you come to DC, Georgetown then there is no better place.
If you’re looking for a fun cafe’ to kickstart your day! This is it!
Love it! We got the spinach & feta Spiral Borek. Highly recommend the blueberry scone and apple turnover. Coffee was amazing! Overall a great experience.
Had an absolutely lovely iced latte this cool September morning. Partners cappuccino was equally delicious and we enjoyed the almond croissant. The owner was rearranging the stairs and streatery sidewalk side patio setup with luscious, early fall plants. Their stair steps are always delightfully arranged for every season and full of character. One of my favorite Georgetown spots!!
Music is way too loud, you don’t even need a coffee by the time it’s ready
Very clean, friendly and welcoming.
Great coffee and perfect treats along coffee. Can’t wait to come back.
Cute cafe with a great ambiance! Both indoor and outdoor seating, lots of pastries and coffee selection.
I was checking to see a good coffee place around and loved the review on this one. Im right here as I write the review. I ordered drip coffee and coffee cake. The service is exceptional and the place is cosy to say the least. Coffee was good but the cake was soggy and not exactly fresh. But what I can say is these are honest people and you can only expect this place to get better!
Friendly staff and great service. Cappuccino and Turkish coffee were both good!
This little shop is really amazing!!
I went with my girlfriend just because she loves coffee and i saw on instagram that they had this art latte. i orded two of those and we sat on the mini bar that they have in the back. Also, i had a minii croissant and a chocolate cake. the pastries were fantastic and the latte was lovely and cute. the workers are super nice and professional. I forgot to say that i went on my birthday. i can say that even though the store is small, is super romantic. It is a perfect place.
Decent coffee and aesthetically pleasing, but not the best in Georgetown. The cafe is small inside and usually packed but with COVID they added a nice outdoor seating area. One thing I didn’t like is they take way too long to make the coffee.
Very tasty brownies and coffee
It is a good place, with the very helpful, friendly and beautiful staff working on. The coffee is amazing, I asked the cappuccino and it tasted very good. They put some tables out of the coffee shop, where you can take some coffee with croasint enjoying the cultural buildings of Georgetown. One of the staff come to our table to ask with everything was OK. I really like the attention that I received from the staffs. It a place to go with friends and family.
Third time here and will keep coming back
Good coffee and pastries.
Cute place! Affogato wasnt my favorite though
Always a great experience. Love this place.
Nice cafe with friendly staff. European feel with tables outside on the sidewalk. Great place for a bakery treat and coffee.
So excited to try this place. Their aesthetic is lovely and I assumed the drinks would be high quality for the price. I was hoping I found my new spot but I am sorry to say nope.My boyfriend and I ordered lattes but I when I asked a question about the milk the lady answered very rudely. I don’t think it’s appropriate (or smart) to be so rude to customers over a simple question about milk. If she just had an off day fine, I would return but the latte was bitter and not worth the price point. If it was, I might come back. Skip it and go to the bakery across the street instead.
Good coffee
Right on the way to my walk to work. Love stopping off to grab a cup on the way. Always friendly staff.
Great coffee. Tasty pastries. Friendly staff. I will definitely be back the next time I’m in DC!
Really bad bad experience in this place, my girlfriends an I we went to this place for the first time on Friday october 30th and the waiters (specific the guy who was serving the last Friday night) he was really rude, discourteous and aggressive. The management needs to training in a better ways the service. I never go back to this place and I dont recommend it. Place too small and bad service.....
Best coffee I’ve ever had!
Great coffee
The best coffee shop in town . Elegant, cute . Stuff are talent and very friendly. Code taste so good .coffee art Is spectacular .
Awesome place with awesome character
Amazing place. Attention to details and great products
Really great coffee with various unique and classic options. Lovely little place to read or relax a bit since it’s not as loud as other cafes (which I prefer for a cafe)! Thank you for the nice experience :)
This was an adorable little coffee shop in what I think to be the cutest neighborhood in DC. Their pastries are delicious and the coffee is more of a work of art than anything. I was very impressed with the presentation of it all! Also, the macaroons are a very good price relative to whats around.
Fun little place. Just went in for a coffee. Taste was normal for a little boutique place. I was honestly most impressed with their to go cups- kept mt coffee hot and recyclable! They serve gelato and seem to have an inner courtyard
