Well made food and drink, very friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere.I ordered their breakfast burrito with a cold brew coffee. The burrito was definitely made with fresh ingredients and was both delicious and filling, while the cold brew coffee was smooth and refreshing.I have two criticisms, and while somewhat minor, did spoil the experience some.First, the water. They leave you a very nice glass bottle of water on the table to dispense at your leisure, but they leave it on every unoccupied table until its filled. By the time a guest is sat down, its room temperature. I personally would rather have a cold drink over the cool bottle.Second, the chairs. Theres a row of gold metal chairs next to the main windows. While they look nice, theyre fairly uncomfortable after an extended time. It looks like at some point there may have been a cushion on them, but they were missing on my visit.Overall: its a nice place. Definitely swing by if you find the opportunity.
Usually every Sunday my husband and I are going to have breakfast in this place. Food and drinks are special and all healthy. But besides all of this I want to share my experience with this place. About one month ago I lost my purse and I didn’t have any hope that I can find it. Finally after one week I received call from my insurance and they told me some one find my purse in bluestone caffe. It was really nice of them to tried fined me because my insurance card was in my Pt. I really appreciate if manager and staff because they really care about their customers. Thank you 🙏
Really great breakfast. Id missed the Aussie cafes where you get good coffee and a full meal.Lots of gluten free options, along with eggs of any kind, avacados and yummy breads. I recommend the haloumi with anything. We ordered the green eggs, the chilli eggs and banana bread.Outdoor dining is good during covid times and indoors is well spaced
Helpful and focused staff.A place to go and get drinks to stay, (have to go options as well)Compostable eating utensils...paper straws...Chais are light in taste, not sweet mochas, espresso has a bit of stateless to it....Not good at all. Oh gosh noSorry not sorry, its true....sadnessI am happy to say Bliestone is good enough to always try and make things right, unlike most places.I thank you Bluestone.
We enjoyed breakfast here while seated outside. I loved their ordering system, you scan a QR code to order online and pay on your phone entirely before the meal even comes. We had no issues with our meal it was delicious. My only issue was that I felt like the service was a little bit lacking because no one was actually dedicated to your table rather it was just kind of whoever was available to help at the moment. Don’t let that discourage you, try it for yourself
Delicious avocado toast, stylish place, good service. The best thing is that you can scan the code and order online, and pay online. Super cool.Suggestion for owners: please use another bread for avocado toast as regular toast bread gets wet quickly, and it’s sweet, which doesn’t taste well in this combination.Another thing : to add smoked salmon to avo toast coasts 6$, I think it’s to much.
The food here is delicious and the coffee is solid. The outside patio is really pleasant. Now for the bad part: the entire concept of ordering online is a mess. It’s like ordering to your table through a terribleimplementation of DoorDash. The website is terrible. You are scrolling through, and all of a sudden the page either refreshes or takes you to another tab. There aren’t enough options to customize your order. The service is poor as well. You don’t have your own waiter. The food comes out in random order. Coffee came out much later than the food. Please do away with this stupid idea and keep the awesome food.
Atmosphere and Ambiance are neat and comfortable at Bluestone. The outside seating are is nice snd quite. The restaurant appears super clean. Servers are pleasant and knowledgeable. And most importantly the food is nicely presented, taste was great to a good price point. I can highly recommend the avocado toast!
The food was very good! My only complaint was that shortly after receiving our food, a bee landed directly in my friend’s pancakes and wouldn’t leave (not the restaurant’s fault I know). But when we asked to move inside to avoid the bees, I asked the waiter if he could make my friend new pancakes. And he said (as the bee was still in her food) that it would take the cooks a long time to remake her food... We finished our meal inside but I was disappointed in the service.
Good food, service. Stylish interior design. Paperless orders and receipts 🧾 Highly recommend! However, there’s a solid flaw - not very clean bathroom …
Delish iced coffee + chai - tried one of the burritos - it was good. A bit pricey. Staff was quick, efficient ordering system, and it was a nice ambiance.
Amazing and best coffee ever!!! Sooo smooth and refreshing. A must have and cannot wait to return to buy a bag to home to Miami. The food is amazing as well. Great portions of foods. The staff, the food, COFFEE, and environment are wonderful!!!
Its expensive. $6 for a large iced Chai latte, $15 for an avocado cauliflower rice salad with no protein. That said, its clean, comfortable and quiet and has a really pleasant and professional vibe. The staff is friendly too.

Excellent service and food... highly recommend!
Good food. Great setting. Friendly staff
One of the best cups of coffee I’ve ever had as well as a super welcoming staff!
Avocado toast here is delicious! Great breakfast option for the couple of days I stayed nearby. I preferred the whole portion that was served with a nice thouch of olive oil (vs. the half portion on the board). You can also get this to-go and they are pretty quick to whip it together if you are in a rush.
Came here on a Thursday morning to get some work done and loved all the outdoor seating available, though the intersection it sits on can be loud and the wifi doesnt reach far well. The drink and food menu is very extensive and friendly to most dietary restrictions, and the prices are definitely up there - $7 for a small matcha latte was not what I was expecting! But, good vibes.
Amazing coffee drinks in amazing setting. Airy modem, chill setting attached to library
My friends and I enjoyed a light lunch here, just before I was heading off to Australia. Our server is from Brisbane so the place certainly sounded authentic. Not being a coffee drinker, I ordered lemongrass ginger tea. It came already brewed in its own teapot, and had a very light lemony taste. My avocato toast also featured cherry tomatoes and a sprinkling of feta cheese. The bread was a thick slice of a freshly baked loaf, and dressed with a slice of prosciutto made for tasty light meal. My friends reveled in their Aussie iced lattes; espresso poured over freshly made vanilla ice cream. One had the Brekkie Board with a small avacato toast and a small cup of granola with Greek yogurt, and the other enjoyed his smoked salmon brioche.
Beautiful, spacious coffee shop with excellent coffee and good brunch food. It felt a little like they were still working out the kinks since it opened recently. We arrived around 10am and only had to wait about 5 minutes for a table. Coffee took a while, but I saw a couple baristas being trained so that could be why. When it did arrive, it was great. I had a delicious mocha.I had an excellent prosciutto and egg sandwich on ciabatta with avocado. My partner ordered the salmon brioche. When our waitress brought the food, she let us know that the salmon brioche actually isn’t available until 11, but the made an exception. However, we discovered it was missing capers, which made for a disappointing sandwich. I appreciate that they were trying to accommodate us, but wish they had just told us to order something else. Will definitely be back soon! Hopefully the minor issues are improved.
Whoever the barista was working around 9:30am this Saturday morning definitely had an attitude when I came to pick up my order. Otherwise, food and drinks were good.
Chic and modern ambiance with expansive windows for good lighting. A variety of seating options available, but usually there is a wait. There are definitely some Aussie vibes here (Vegemite!). The menu options are a bit pricey for what you get (avocado toast?) so its a treat yourself kind of place, or bring a friend from out of town who likes Instagrammable places. I came here for brunch and ordered the Brekkie Board - big fan of the yogurt and granola. The toast was also delicious. A great combination. Coffee here is fantastic as well. The restaurant is inside the new West End Library.
This place has great espresso. I had a long black and it was fantastic. There was a lot of natural chocolate flavor there and it did not taste burnt or bitter. Great work! Also, the avocado toast. I have never seen so much avocado on toast in my life. Piled high! Not much indoor seating so be prepared to either sit outside or take away.I will definitely be back!
I wouldnt go there again! I ordered the Green Baked Eggs and they were way overcooked, which was a huge disappointment. Our server was also super unfriendly to us, while being more attentive to other customers for some reason. Also, while our pitcher was half full, a server took it away and didnt bring back more water for us until I asked for it which seemed rude, it even seemed like they wanted us to leave.
Great service, super kind staff. I recommend pre-ordering on their site before going for pickup/takeout. Their matcha lattes are so good! Lots of great alt milk options. The Tumeric Golden Latte was really good too.For weekend brunch this place gets packed starting at 10 am. definitely make a reservation if dining in.
Great coffee shop with awesome service in a very nice setting. Outdoor seating felt very COVD-safe. Would highly recommend this location of this 5 star coffee shop franchise.
Wedges were great and their spiked cold brew was the best. I had the latte, I just wished I had been offered sugar. They don’t have flavors other than mocha, but the woman went back into the kitchen before I could finish asking for sweetener. Still was good coffee!
Super cool cafe; some of the seating is a little awkward but that shouldn’t deter you from trying this place. For the COVID everything is done on your phone, even payment. Food was great and had options for everyone’s dietary(vegan)needs from my quick glances at the menu.
Lovely location with abundant natural light pouring in given the double storey height. Nicely decorated space with comfortable modern furnishings, though a little tight in some spots. Food and coffee is solid and comes out fast. Service is friendly, though I would have wished that the staff be more pro active to check in and take my order as well as get the bill.
A little pricey, but the breakfast burrito I had was pretty phenomenal as well as the seasonal peppermint mocha. Orders were placed via a url obtained through we code in the table. The website was streamlined and easy to use. It also gave you a lot of options for add-ons to the food (got smoked salmon on my burrito 🤤) to how hot you want your drink. The staff were also warm and accommodating. I also liked the clean, modern aesthetic, the floor to ceiling windows, and the little heated cabanas for outdoor seating. May not become a regular, but I would definitely go back.
The coffee is the best Ive had in the Dc/Va area. The food is good, great friendly service nice atmosphere to sit and have a nice breakfast or brunch.
The food was great, but I took 1 star out because I was disappointed in many ways. Their dish washer seemed malfunctioning, and their sevice was too slow.
A favorite breakfast or brunch spot and we end up here nearly every time we visit DC.
Very good place for breakfast
Great coffee from a La Marzocco, great staff. The location is lacking a coffee bar for those who prefer ordering a coffee and not eating, restaurant has table service. The menus are printed on paper, ours were quite dirty. May be time to change them... and glassware rested on them. It looked poorly cleaned while the restaurant itself looks very nice and appetizing. It opens early (7:30 on the weekend) and quiet before 10:00.Convenient location in West End library.
I’m not a brunch kind of person. It generally seems to be an annoying scene. But did brunch here and the coffee is delicious. Also the food is vibrant and delicious. I got the rainbow bowl with egg avocado a veggie mash and some delicious ginger-yogurt dressing. My friends had the avocado mash and veggie style eggs. All delicious. The servers where a bit over worked but handled it well and the food came out fast. It’s also neat that it’s connected to the library. Definitely will go again.
Good options in their menu, portion of the dishes good, excellent taste, little expensive but the place is very comfortable
Staffs are friendly. Their Bloody Mary is strong! ;) Loved their hot chocolate; very rich. 😋
What a disappointing visit to Bluestone. I would expect that an Aussie-attempting cafe would know what a flat white is! I ordered online, as you have to even in person, and received a large cup - first sign something was wrong. A flat white is 6 oz. though 8 might be acceptable in the “everything too big” US. Mine was a 12-oz milkshake with a bit of espresso! All wrong and I expect more here. The tag said “flat white large” - that’s an oxymoron! A flat white IS small - that’s the whole point! If you want “large” it’s called a latte! And there is no option on the web ordering platform for small/large. Furthermore there are no bakery items available now either - so it was an exceptionally long wait for an undrinkable warm cup of milk and nothing to go with it.
Good but ridiculously overpriced for what it is.
The absolute best brunch spot! Vegan and regular options, and everything is so so fresh! 9/10 times delivery is fresh too
My potato wedges were undercooked to the point that I didnt eat them. The wrap I got was pretty flavorless. Its not the worst meal Ive ever had in my life, but I dont see any reason to go back.
This place is very authentic. It is very quiet, even though there were many people. Food is very nice, especially for those who miss European bread. All ingredients are fresh and the dishes are fool of flavor. The service was good, we didn’t spend a lot much time for waiting for anything. I put 4 stars from 5 because I don’t like my latte; it has burn flavor in my opinion.
Their coffee drinks are good and so is their healthy breakfast options.
Good coffeeVarious, tasty lunch sandwiches.
