Wow? An Oasis in the city. Beautiful plants and people on top of an unusual hardware store. We took a lovely hydroponic class, for a low price, outside, and enjoyed a tour and QA session too. If you want to grow your own food, I highly recommend.

You can volunteer, take classes, and purchase there products here. Wonderful owner very experienced with various methods of cultivating. Hence thats why its called cultivate the city...

I love going to the H street farm by Cultivate the city. The owner is very nice, and welcoming. On top of that, he provides a 10/10 customer service experience!**Reasonably priced plants!**Highly Recommend!

This place is just cool. There are so many plants to look at, cute containers, the rooftop is fun to be on, the staff was super friendly to both adults and curious kids!! I think there was about to be a yoga class or club meet there, everyone was just enjoying the space and their time there. My kid asked if he could work there and we found out there are volunteering opportunities for the community. Great first experience, we look forward to going back.

This place is beautiful but its not in a safe location. Its in a sketchy area. If you come by car you are fine and will feel safe. If you taking public transportation and or a scooter/bike you wont feel safe. I hope/wish new development moves in to nearby next door. For this reason I dont feel comfortable going often like other places that I visit I went 10/21. I think over next couple years that area will change but for now it has a while getting there and this pandemic is nor helping with so many people laying around nearby outside of the store.The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. I wouldn’t come here after 3 pm. If you were to come just be cautious of the neighborhood/nearby stores around you.

Absolutely beautiful nursery center with every wishlist plant you can dream of. This is a special place, with extremely special people. You can get carried away quickly here, though! ;-)

Love LOVE this place. Niraj is incredibly knowledgeable about plants and always very helpful with questions. During the stay at home orders, they’ve delivered (same day!) plants nearly weekly to my home with the friendliest, easiest service. I’m relatively new to gardening so very appreciative of their services and friendliest to questions on plant care, even days/weeks after I purchased something. Definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a great spot to get plants and garden materials!

What an awesome space this is. Roof top garden center with pretty much anything you would need to start your veggie or ornamental garden and they have cool house plants to boot. I selected my plants and paid online to go pick up but I cannot wait to go back to browse someday.

Took a hydroponics class by Niraj and was thoroughly amazed by his level and depth of knowledge for the subject area. Definitely learned a lot and would recommend anyone who is into gardening to take the class. The best part is you get to see the outcome of his lessons via his real life implementations of them. The rooftop farm has a huge variety of herbs, vegetables, fruits, and trees all grown through hydroponics!

These folks know what theyre talking about and have a nice selection, with some interesting plants not available elsewhere. Plus, its a rooftop garden center in DC. How cool is that?

I love H St. Farms. I’ve received great gardening advice, help repotting a difficult dieffenbachia and bought the most glorious pothos you can imagine. You can even place an order for the specific kind of plant you want if they don’t carry it. The prices are beyond fair and the plants, products and people are phenomenal. Highly recommend.
