From Annapolis Maryland and would always go to Baltimore for my comfort food but the meals that I purchased here while in D.C. were the greatest ever!

Tried draining the swamp to the best of my abilities. But this place is great offers everything from cigarettes to cell phones, also soda to shrimp. I would recommend their ribs which are great. They offer chicken wings that are extra gravy as well. If youre feeling sporty try them out.

Ive just gotten through eating from there and I feel woozy and dizzy. Im excreting diarhea. Idont trust that restaurant. I dont know what theyhave against me. But never will I return to them.

LOL its funny that Ive been in Washington DC all my life Im 47 years old I meant I would say 5 years ago it made my first time going to the shrimp boat all this time that Ive been in DC all this time I live here I know everywhere to go but not its a very nice small place but at the same time and they have a subway station right across the street but the funny part is be careful at certain times of the day and nights at you around there cuz things may happen I cant Im not saying what may happen cuz Im not sure but I know things happen everywhere but be careful watch yourself and watch your back God bless you and enjoy your way

OUTSTANDING FOOD AND THE STAFF ARE VERY NICE!!!

The staff dont seem overly friendly. I was hoping for a catfish po boy but was informed they only have some other fish sub. I ended up with the catfish dinner with mac & cheese and potato wedges. I was quoted 6 minutes until ready so I waited outside. Came back inside after 10 minutes and then at the 15 minute mark was asked by the same person I placed my order with what they could help me with. That was a bit annoying that I was waiting on the fish and they couldnt remember when it wasnt that busy and took way longer than they initially quoted.The fish seemed fresh a bit oily but tasty. The mac & cheese was really great and the seasoned potato wedges were nothing to write home about.Id give the place another try but Im not in a hurry to go out of my way for it.

This spot is my favorite. I eat in many restaurants but to this one I constantly return again and again. The crew is very attentive and the food they cook is so flavorful. I am always happy to have a decent meal in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.

I just recently had there breakfast and let me tell you its SO good! I had the French Toast with sausage and bacon. But there home fried potatoes and eggs were so tasty!

It seemed okay the one time I have been in more recently over the years.I did notice since they have redone the whole thing, several businesses that were promoted on the front and side of the building are now gone so I am not sure what happened to them, but new ones I assume have taken their place.

This was my first time going there since they fixed up the place and reopened. Although the setting is different from the original, it was pretty good. A lot of food items to choose from. Everything looked inviting, and the prices wasnt bad. I will definitely go back.

I waited 20 minutes trying to make a decision due to the endless menu choices everything looked so good and they have something for everyone . The young ladies gave excellent customer service. They were fast and very pleasant despite that they were in the middle of a busy lunch rush . they greeted each customer with smiles. I will definitely visit again this was my first time and will not be my last. Prices are very resonable and the portions are huge so it will be worth your buck

I Ordered from here for the first time ever about a week ago & I got the chitterling dinner with Mac and cheese with potato salad !! You get large portions of food & it’s worth your money. The food was very fresh and delicious !! I will definitely order from them again!!

A little dicey if your not from the area. Otherwise The Shrimp Boat is a great place for a one stop shop for whatever you might have a taste for. A bit pricey but worth it.

Quick spot to stop by for hot prepared food to go at a good price for the amount of food you get. Food seasoned just right, and not salty. Get in and out in a few minutes, and back home. Right outside the Benning Road metro train station. Make a stop and head on home with lunch or dinner ready.

The egg and cheese sandwich is delicious but the price should be $ 3.99 instead.

I like the fact that they have discount tobacco, but they need someone there to service customers whom actually want tobacco products.I havent tried the food,but people stay in there buying food.

I ordered a BLT and I did not get tomatoes on my BLT. Didnt realize it till I got home it will never happen again.

The servers at this location are very rude and tend to keep customers waiting ... when asked about their rude behavior they completely ignore you or catch an attitude . I used to come every day after work on my way home but it’s gotten ridiculous .

This place has been around forever they have very good breakfast foods, I get the waffle platter which is very good. The lady who runs that place is very sweet and patient. However, theres no seating theres only two go. Which isnt a big problem, There is parking behind the store for your convenience.

There are so many choices!!! My choice was dinner and The flavors are excellent...I will try breakfast the next time..

Nice Chinese carry out. It is a very well known District of Columbia landmark. Food isnt anything to brag about. Everything on the menu is decent. I love the way it looks at night with all the lights especially in the snow. Not someplace I would recommend someone going out their way to get to but if you live in the area definitely try it out of you havent already.

This place has been around since I was a kid. I love coming here. The food is good and the desserts are good too. Definitely better than some restaurants.

Im truly a fan of this diner. The Shrimp Boat has all the greats to accommodate your breakfast, lunch and dinner needs. Its convenient for all those who live close to East Capitol and love wholesome food for their family. Id suggest this diner to anyone who has ever been hungry for home cooking...

Quick. Delicious food not expensive

The prices on their menu are different than what they ring up at the register and thats wrong because as a customer you can only go by the prices you see on their menu so you expect to pay that price, you dont wanna get to the register and they charge you something different. I told them that was wrong and they said its not their fault its the owners fault so I said thats still no excuse. So on top of that as customers were coming in there was a big roach crawling right in front of us so I told the lady and she came from behind the counter and stepped on it and left it right there on the floor and two customers walked out! When I told her that was nasty to see a roach crawling in front of customers she said so what all restaurants have roaches and I said no they dont, not the clean ones!

Ive always heard about the Shrimp Boat, never realized what or how it became so popular!!! But the food is awesome, customer service is helpful and polite! From the things I can gather, what once was a mere fast-stop restaurant is now a central landmark that displays the wonderful wealth of knowledge and history that has been passed down the generations while keeping with modern day marketplaces.

I purchase greens, mac n cheese and fried chicken. The mac n cheese was the best, everything was good but the mac and cheese was delicious. Ill definitely come back great customer service too.

Reasonably priced... Service could use a bit of improvement but the food is always on point. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner all day. Also theres kind of a convenience store.... Chips, candy, rellos, backwoods, juices, and other tobacco products

This is my 2nd time Ordering from here. The first time I only ordered fries. They were good, no complaints. This time I got a chicken tender combo, included fries. The chicken wasn’t all that great. I’ve had better at near by spots. Don’t Think I’ll be ordering anything else from here, but fries

Good food and location. You get a lot if food for your money! Their chicken tenders, hush puppies, and coleslaw is one of my favorites! I ordered three chicken tenders, but could only eat two, a couple of hush puppies, and a little coleslaw bcuz it was a hearty meal! You get your money worth for sure! When you get off at Benning Road station, check them out. Or, Dennys, its right across the street!

I had a uber there today and man was is flies galore!! Eugh! It was trifling! People still ordered their food as if the flies were a delicacy. Yes, I saw them land on the smothered pork chops.. Yes, he saw it and still fanned it away... Yes, they are going to still serve it.

I went to the store to buy my daughter some candy at the part where you could buy stuff like candy and chips and stuff ...To make a long story short, I don’t know if the women is from Africa, but she can’t count good and she needs to learn how to count right and English because she don’t speak English good and she insulting! I was ANC for 7-E in 2005 and this woman would not give me my receipt when I kept asking her multiple times and she insult me in front of my daughter and I did count the change right and she tried to give me my money back and ask for the stuff back and I said no, I want my receipt and she lied about my counting and I had the cop cam on too and then she went behind my back and told a guy who stay in the store she wants to kill me...I over heard conspiracy stuff being said about me like always ...you asking for trouble saying that behind my back evil person! Thou shall not kill!

I used to go there when it was the actual Shrimp Boatand I enjoyed the food a lot. On my 1st visit to the new eatery I was pleasantly surprised that the food was very delicious. I recommended.

They shouldve left the original Shrimp Boats there. The only thing there that is worth going there for is metro pcs. That food place is terrible.

The staff is mostly friendly. However, the food is overly greasy, bland, and might make your stomach hurt. There also appears to be no method to prevent insects from flying on the food (might explain the stomach pains), as theres often flies hovering around. The coffee is bad. Youre better off going to the 7-11 down the street.It has promise as a neighborhood staple, but they need to conduct business a lot better.

So I want everyone to avoid looking the old shrimpboat and take a look at the new plaza with new ownership and best menu.
