I was a little confused about my budget contract and was upset over my bill because I thought it was more than it should have been. I then spoke with Brenda in the customer loyalty department. She immediately de-escalated a bad situation and handled herself in a calm and professional manner. I was ready to cancel my accounts with Mercury, but after a few minutes speaking with her I was satisfied with her responses and with the solution she proposed. I have been a good customer for many years and its nice to know there are still people out there that care about customer service. Thank you Brenda.

I have been a customer of Mercury Fuel for over 15 years. They never fail to provide excellent customer service, oil delivery, and furnace service.Specifically, today Richard Johnson Jr took a great deal of time to help us with some billing and delivery plan questions. He also was very knowledgeable, kind, courteous, and professional. Mr. Johnson is another reason for us to continue with Mercury Fuel.Thank you for everything Mercury!

The person who answered the phone was pleasant and courteous. Moreover, Raquel was able to gain immediate repair service to my home. The work will be completed today. Raquel was very concerned about the problem, and she was extremely helpful.

I phoned late this afternoon to make a payment for oil delivered last week; I was pleased to be able to take advantage of their 2% discount for prompt payment. What made this process especially pleasant was dealing with Jessica who was not only friendly and efficient, but also funny and so very nice. For me, dealing with an excellent Customer Service representative who makes you feel that your business is appreciated is absolutely essential; Jessica is a real gem and a true credit to HOP Energy.

I used to have excellent customer service, and friendly people that would help me. We used them for approx. 6 years and set up special payments due to the fact that we have both forced hot air and oil. I now get calls monthly and pushing to set up an auto fill and payment plan which does not work for us. If your looking for that hometown mom and pop feel your no longer getting it here.

Had Mike (technician) come to my home today to resolve the issue of noise coming from the circulator. He found the problem and fixed it fast, apparently the pipes were loose at certain locations and were viberating. He then checked the boiler as part of providing good service, and it needed the filter to be changed. Ive never had any issues with this company and any technician that had come to my home, provided exceptional service.

Very unhappy with Mercury Fuel since its recent purchase by a larger company. They no longer have the friendly, helpful atmosphere, or experienced staff. I understand the desire of their new owner to save money and hire out of office call center staff but - it is going to loose them business.Customer service is - customer service and what is currently in place is substandard and explains their recent errors, end of year when I fulfilled my contract.I called today to speak with the same friendly person I have spoken to for years (and also hoped to discuss recent year end events of Mercury) and was told she is probably working but probably on the phone (that indicated she is not working at the same location but a call center - which she confirmed). She was pushy, rude and asked far too many questions - when I was the one calling with a question that had nothing to do with my phone number, home address - or marital status.I have remained loyal to Mercury Fuel Service for 20 years, they were there to help one Christmas many years ago when my furnace went out and I was just home from the hospital. I stayed with them despite seeing lower prices elsewhere due to their exceptional customer service. No longer.

Mercury Energy 43 Lafayette ST Waterbury USED TO BE a great company, cared about customers. Now bought out by Hopp Energy they are aholes. The new company is not customer friendly and only has one goal, to make as much money as possible, threatening their customers telling them they need to make repairs that are not needed. Im a 15 year customer of this company and Im done. There are a million other oil companies out there that will gladly take my money and treat me better. So long losers.

This company was bought out in April 2017 by some large company. Customer service is horrendous. I have a no heat situation. After waiting 2 days for scheduled service I called and was told they couldnt find my order. Customer service was not just incompetent but but rude. Will never call them again.

Mercury is one of the FEW companies where your treated like a person not just an account number. They LISTEN to you and work with you to not just satisfy their own needs but yours as well. Ask yourself what thats worth in todays world.

What happened to this company? Im told by some new tech Ive never seen before, and Ive been a customer almost 20 years, that the new company is very strict and now I need to replace an oil tank and lines? Billing is all screwed up. They keep calling to ask if Im going to pay my bill? Im on auto pay for years now they just take it out of my checking account and Ive told them TWICE now. The old customer service I was used to is now GONE! Time to look for a new oil company. I dont need this BS.
