Horrible customer service, charged us 42 dollars for driving 4 miles and said we drove 12. When we explaining our issue worker quickly said have a nice day and bye. Didn’t even acknowledge us and humans. Had a child there in scorching heat temperatures. Also a bald man with a small goatee was constantly cursing. I don’t mind that but in front of the child was wrong. Overall horrible place, I would take my business elsewhere because this place is unprofessional. Also believe I was being discriminated because I have an accent and a POC. They were laughing as we left and were talking behind our backs. These people should be fired and replaced especially the guy that looks like a rat with his bald hat and barley able to grow facial hair.

One of the worst places to go for rental. They charged way extra for miles that I didn’t drive and for gas which I put in before returning the truck to them. Stupid service, kept arguing with me and saying I should have thought about the price before I rented. I have to give one star to give a review otherwise they don’t even deserve that. Simply TRASH!!!!! Avoid at all costs!!!

I had reservation in the other uhaul located by Home Depot and they didn’t have the truck available I asked if they can find a different truck or compensate me for my time lost but they didn’t, I drove to 169 Meriden Rd and they get the perfect size truck for me and they were so friendly I recommend this location they have best service in Waterbury.

Made a reservation online Saturday to have a hitch installed drove all the way to the store only to be told they didnt have an installer onsite. So I rescheduled for Monday @8am only to wait 2 hrs for the Installer to finally show up to work for a service I was told only takes 30 mins. 4 hours later im still here waiting. This is the most unpleasant and unprofessional experience. Unluckily I need the hitch installed asap or I would have canceled.

Literally one of my worst ever experiences with a business.My husband scheduled a hitch installation appointment using the online scheduler. Everything went through fine and the money was withdrawn from our account.When I brought the car for the service there was only one poor beleaguered young man on staff who informed me, nearly in tears, that he could not provide me with services as he was the only person there at all, and he further did not have the appropriate parts.He supposedly refunded my money at that time (with some difficulty).I then called customer service and 45 minutes later only had a promise of a phone call from the manager of the store for the following day (Friday) to find a way to rectify the situation.No call.It is now Sunday, still no call and we have found that our money was never refunded.Do not use this uhaul they will screw you and not even care that they did!!!Update: after spending the majority of the day on the phone attempting to reach various managers, being hung up on by staff at this uhaul and having them SHUT THE PHONES OFF my husband finally had to threaten to call the police and better business bureau while speaking with customer service. (And had to arrange his own replacement appointment at a different location)At 3pm he finally received a call from a manager who informed him that the new appointment would be paid for by his location and that our money would be refunded within 3-5 business days.Still wouldnt recommend this place to anyone as it never should have come to this or taken this much work and stress.

Im upgrading them to 2 stars. I had made an appointment to get a trailer hitch installed. Show up: no parts no availability of labor. I then had a lot of trouble talking to them to find a solution over the next few days. I did finally get it resolved and the hitch with installation was comped. So Im happy with the end and they made things right but it was a bit of an ordeal to get there.

The worst customer service. Both associates who helped us return the truck were beyond rude. Example 1: me: What happens if we put too much gas in the truck? Associate: I guess youre screwed! Example 2: me: Thats odd, I thought the price we were quoted was X. Can you please explain? Associate: Hey, I dont set the prices. But Ill send you an email receipt and Ill print out a receipt and go through it with you to show you how much you saved. Me: Im sorry, I dont have time for that. Associate, clearly annoyed: Why would you bother to complain if you dont have time for me to get you an answer? Is asking for a cost explanation considered complaining? Is the service hes attempting to provide not optional? I was more than happy to review the receipt in my email, but that wasnt good enough for this associate. Ive had great experiences with Uhaul in the past, but this one was a game changer.

Can be long wait times. They could use more help on weekends especially toward the end of the month. The inside layout is awkward with a bunch of items they are trying to sell right in front of the counter forming isles. Good company to rent from overall.

Absolutely horrible service!!! 5 major issues:Issue 1: I paid over $2,000 to have my belongings shipped in 2 uBoxes. They lost my boxes for a week until I drove to the location (because they refuse to answer their phone) to figure out what happened to my belongings. Thomas and Nestor, the managers, wouldnt even look at me when I spoke to them. They eventually found my boxes under a completely different name. Nestor tried to explain that it wasnt their fault that they never called me to let me know my boxes had arrived. It was their fault, if a uBox arrives at your location it is your job to figure out who it belongs to.Issue 2: The following day I returned for my uBoxes so I could move my stuff out of it. The hitch they gave us didnt have a functioning turn signal. I had to drive a trailer 100miles without a turn signal.Issue 3: According to company policy, customers are to be refunded $50 per day, per box that it is late. I was suppose to receive $600 back for losing my boxes. I was approved for $600. I only received $550.Issue 4: About a month after the uBox incident I received an email from my bank because I was being charged for the storage of 2 uBoxes, the 2 uBoxes I had emptied over a month before. They never closed out my account.Issue 5: Absolutely atrocious communication system. The location NEVER picks up, not even for the call center. Thomas, the manager, does not answer or return phone calls made to his cell phone. They never responded to any of the many emails the call center sent to to them about these issues.The call center isnt much better, they hung up on me and transferred me without notice way too many times to count.Im currently still waiting on my $184 refund for the uBox storage I dont have and the $50 refund for the lost uBoxes. Maybe Ill have to call corporate.

I called the store and was routed to a Call center . I asked to have a hitch wiring harness installed, gave them the make, model, and year. She put me on hold to check with the store. She made the appointment for me and I drove up to get the work done. When I arrived the attendant told me he preferred to install the other type of harness with the plug and play connections, and I needed to order it. I asked if he had one on the shelf without plug and play and he said yes, but he outright refused to do the install since he kept saying he preffered To install the other (easier) one. I left and wasted 2 hours of my day.

I am here as we speak trying to return a part. Been here for about an hour to got help from the one person who has no idea how to return a part. The other employees are doing nothing to help. The god honest worst service i have ever had at a place of buisness. Take your buisness to budget or literally anywhere else.

Set an appointment by phone with assistant manager Tonya to have a hitch installed. Drove 45 minutes to appointment and was told they didnt have the hitch available or their hitch installer. Customer service was horrrible and they didnt care they messed up. The assistant manager denied ever talking to me. Then she went on to say if I left and came back 5mins later she wouldnt remember me because shes so busy... yet she was sitting in a chair doing nothing when I arrived. I wasted hrs of my time and still didnt end up with a hitch. I lost money and time dealing with this location. Go somewhere else. Youve been warned.

Being a military family we have moved multiple times. This is by far the worst location we have delt with. It has been nothing but issues since day 1. people r extremely rude, we have been told to come back another day to pick up our uboxes after arriving at 7am to pick them up as schedualed. Our hitch was put on wrong by uhaul so when we came back we couldnt take them and had to make a new apt after that. Told since it was their fault we would not be charged the next day for our monthly fee since we would have had it out In time. We were charged. Called to have the charge reversed and was transferred 3 times before hanging up. not to mention they were not even suppose to ship our uboxes to that location at all until oct. not June when they did. If I could give 0 stars I would.

Thieves!!! Stole from my mother who is a sick disabled woman.Manager or boss is rude, deaf and blind.Took advantage of my mother and stole 50$$ dude refused to listen and accept that my mother (the customer was right) and she really was.she had the paper work to prove it and an employee was actually backing her up since he was a witness to the situation but he refused to listen and then he had the audacity to highlight the paper work mind you after it was already marked and signed...Do not recommend at all.
