Very fresh food and lovely lady staff who is very kind, polite, and helpful. I specially love their Moroccan mandarins which is special season offerings. Best mandarins I had in the last 10 years in USA. Other things I liked over there were fresh Persian cucumber, nectarines, tomato, and fresh basil bunch. They have so many Armenian and Persian grocery items and bakeries. If you live in Watertown or nearby, highly suggest to check them out.

Nice Armenian/Turkish/Mediterranean super market. Bought from there LahemAjin, string braided cheese, variety of roasted seeds and nuts. Prices were a bit higher than we are used to in New York, New Jersey or Virginia. It has a good variety of items. It was nice and easy to shop there.

Wonderful family owned place for fresh fruit and vegetables as well as Middle Eastern spices, olives, pastries and candies. They have been in business in Watertown for over 30 years, previously they were in the South End (uprooted by the urban renewal - when the Mass Pike was built).

I shopped at the store yesterday, one item that I bought was $2 more expensive from the store next door. It’s a small item and I bought a couple so that adds up and then I came home and realized that they charged me 6.99 for something that I did not buy. Called the number on the receipt and no one ever picks up. The place is very unorganized and I would not have written this review if they had not charged me 6.99 for something I did not buy. I looked at my receipt also after shopping but their receipt is not clear, names everything as produce produce … so with one glance you won’t know that they are cheating you. Very disappointed will never go again there are so many other stores around them that have all the items they have and they are much more honest.

Quality smaller Armenian market with competitively priced produce, flat breads, meats, plus a large selection of on-site prepared eastern European specialties and pastries/candies. Minus one star for some missing prices, free parking for 3 cars in back, street parking for a quarter, bags provided, quick in and out a big plus.

Review №25

I think this place deserves a real review since almost all the reviews are single digit reviewers that are friends and family.Arax used to be a good option for vegetables and fruits. This is no longer true since you can get fresher produce from a much larger supermarket. The prices are higher than the competition and if you are not careful following the cashier, you will end up with inflated or wrong prices. To the insult to injury they dont even apologize.Since they are now playing politics and removed all the products that I was interested, they also removed the reason to go there. This is big because the products makes the market. Before this event, I would have rated them 2 stars anyways due to quality and service issues so no big losses.

BEST Middle Eastern market!!!! From the moment you enter the large glass doors, a wonderful smell of homemade food fills the air. The selection and quality is unsurpassable. From spicy hummus to spinach pies and delectable chocolate baklava, they have everything to tantalize your taste buds. The grocery area was filled with fresh fruits and veggies from around the world. And don’t even get me started on the chocolate selection. . . every kids dream. This family owned establishment has been serving Watertown for over forty-six years.

Love this store, everything is amazing, I especially love the Beet Humus! The Beet Humus may sound strange but it is sooooo good. We will put it out when we have company and without fail it will be what everyone asks about! The chocolate baklava is definitely a must try. The baklava is all the same price per pound so you can try a bunch of different kinds in small squares. The baba Ganoush is also very good. There is tons of prepared foods and its great fun trying different foods, keep up the great work!

I have been a customer for many, many years and always found good produce. I continued to shop because I wanted to keep them in business and respect local businesses.Lately I have noticed a big change. The prices are higher and the quality is poor. This week I bought peaches, nectarines, plums and bread. The bread was good as usual but every one of the fruits had to be trashed. They were dry and the nectarines were rotten inside. I have always had to trash a few but because the prices were more reasonable I didn’t mint. This time the peaches cost 1.00 a pound more than Shaws and market basket so I was not happy and will probably not go back to Arax.
