Bolts department is always a complete mess. Things where theyre not supposed to be, and usually completely out of what you actually need. Need a more organized system.

The garden section could bankrupt me, they have so many excellent plants, both vegetable, berry, and hardscape trees. Inside, the signage is great, making it easy to find what you need.

Long wait to get someone to help me one rude associate did not care now 3 weeks later waiting for a stove to be delivered and no one calls me until the night before to tell me my delivery is delayed someone will call you with your new delivery date in 48 hours. 3 days later nobody calls call them have a delivery date another week horrible service

Doing a curbside pickup at the Waukegan location and after notifying the store weve arrived we have (currently) waited 20 minutes for our order. I just sent someone into the store to find out whats happening.Evidently the notice I got several hours ago saying my order was ready for pickup was baloney. We were told someone is pulling our items now. Kind of defeats the purpose of ordering in advance and waiting for the order to be ready before coming to pick it up.

Went in for a tub. Marcy was extremely helpful and we walked out with exactly what we were looking for. Excellent experience.

I usually have great things to say about HD but!!!! I wanted to return a plant that died it was a gift and I dont have a receipt. They would not make an exception! I have remolded 3 houses with HD and spent over 20k! I know policy is policy but they used to take things back without a receipt and that was made me shop with them over Menards, Lowes etc....

They have so many people working there, and you can not get help. I waited over 15 mins for someone with the key to get a spray paint gun which is lock down. No one ask you CAN I HELP YOU.

I love Home Depot. They usually have the lowest price and they also give military discounts. I also love that they have a lot of inventories. We have many options to choose from.

If I could give negative stars I would. So when I asked for help on a simple drill bit I was ignored. I asked to speak to the manager and they were 10x worse. Seems like they promote this kind of environment from the top terrible find better managers please as a customer we dont deserve this kind of service specially from a higher up professional. Usually have whatever you are looking for and you are quickly in and out but if you have a return, youll be in there WAY longer than acceptable. Five or six employees standing behind the customer service counter but one long line open.

Terrible customer service! On numerous occasions the customer service has been sub par. They act as if theyre doing you a favor by doing what theyre paid to do. I think Ill try my luck with Lowes next time.

This Home Depot location has problems with inventory control. More than twice Ive gone to this store with small items (e.g. PEX pipe fittings, etc) being indicated in plentiful stock on the website, only to find that the items are nowhere to be found on the shelves. Even the stores aisle clerks cant find these items that come up in the system as in stock.

Called on phone first and spoke with a young man in paint after attempting to prepay for a 5 gallon bucket but online it said it wasnt available (which was impossible). Got there and he remembered me and even the color. Friendly and quick. Other employees not so much. Customer service desk, as usual, seems rude and one lady is so loud I have to cover my ears.

This Hardware store is my home away from home, mostly during the summer months, when Im taking advantage of their lawn and garden center. They take good care of all their plants, shrubs and trees and they do carry a large quantity of just about any plant you could possible want. I wont fail to mention that the customer service here is quite friendly and knowledgable.

Overall home depot is an okay store although im disappointed in their advertising actions.Tik toks are being made, that support and promote the company and they use that as an excuse to fire employees. its free advertisement. I could see if the posts were negative or derogatory but they only have good intent. disappointed in the HR decisions

This is the store for all your DIY projects. The downside is that some items seem hard to find.

When I visited it seemed when you asked an employee for the location of something for the most part youd get the right place but more than once I got employees that did not seem really vested in me as a client on a specific purchase visit, often just giving me an isle number in a half-assured tone. However everything else about the store is fantastic

I ordered $553.40 worth of smart blinds from the website.... that’s $553.40 for 3 blinds.... bundles.... 3 separate blinds, and 3 motorized attachments to control via an app on your phone. I went to the customer service desk to retrieve my order and was provided with three boxes. Upon return to my home I found that the three boxes only contained the blinds, and no motorized attachments. These motorized attachments cost $89.99 apiece. After speaking with the customer service representative on the phone, I was told I could return to the store and these attachments would be waiting for me. I make a second trip across town to get the remaining portion of my order and now they are demanding I pay for the attachments a second time. After 47 minutes of dealing with a half dozen incompetent employees 38 minutes of which was after they closed, they... with attitude and disgust, allowed me to have my already purchased items. I would highly recommend shopping absolutely anywhere else for your home improvement needs... or if Home Depot is your only option... just go without because the staff isn’t going to help you. I only wish there was less than one star to rate this facility.Edit: I feel my review was a bit harsh, and I’d like to correct some of that. The Waukegan Home Depot has hands down the very best hot dog stand in the city of Waukegan!! The HotDog stand employees are always friendly, and knowledgeable about their products... quick with a smile, and very prompt service! Also, the location is fantastic!!! It’s right inside the doors!! And if you play your cards right, you can be in & out in five minutes or less without having to encounter an orange apron of attitude and ineptitude. Kudos to you hotdog guy/girl!! Your service is amazing.... products are delicious.... and based on my experience with the orange apron staff.... you hotdog vendors are by far the best and most knowledgeable staff in the building!!! Your hotdogs and friendly demeanor are clearly what’s keeping this location open, because it surely isn’t the customer service representatives or the management!!! Keep up the good work!! An entire staff of lazy and subpar employees is depending on you to keep the lights on!

Seldom a good visit here. The employees are less than knowledgeable and completely unmotivated to work or serve. It is like a time vacuum where they work at a snails pace. I could get into experiences but dont want to waste anymore time.

Whatever youve come to respect from a shopping experience at Home Depot, this store does not provide it. If not for the orange sign, you would have no idea you were in one of Arthur Blanks stores.Ive had nineties bad experiences at this store. My favorite one is the time my 8.5 month pregnant wife and I went carpet shopping, looking to drop about $3000. The sales associates in flooring had no idea what the price of install was. When we asked for help, the three people behind the desk had to call someone else. We waited 20 minutes, watching the 3 associates talk. I then went back up to them and asked for help, they responded with oh, we didnt know you were still here. They made no attempt to remove their asses from the chairs, not even to offer my pregnant wife a seat. The store manager called me 2 days later about my experience, told me he would help me buy carpet. I told him if the flooring experts didnt have any knowledge, then how is the GM going to help me?Other bad experiences have included hour long trips in lighting where not a single associate approached me, associates that look like they hate their jobs, and am overall lack of knowledge by everyone.
