Frisbee Auto is family owned and they will treat you and your vehicle just as they would family. They are the best mechanics Ive experienced. When my vehicles go to them I know the work is done professionally and correct. And a bonus is your vehicle is shiny clean upon pickup. I trust them 100% and recommend them to everyone. You wont be disappointed.
These people over charge! $1800 quote for a 3 minute fix. Ohh and base charge $200-$300 for their required inspection.A few months ago I saw their Diesel sign and asked them to see if they can take a look at my turbo exhaust clamp because I replaced the high pressure oil pump myself and believe that the lack of performance is from this (I can also hear the air escaping from the turbo area of the engine. The guy at the countered insisted that he had to perform a full inspection before they can do anything to my truck. I declined because I dont use my F350 that often and it was certainly still drive-able.Two weeks ago as I was making a run to Home Depot my truck was starting to loose power momentarily like every few seconds. I drove my truck straight to their shop and told them what was wrong. Again the guy at the counter insisted on performing a full inspection before he can do anything to my truck. This time I agreed. First he said the inspection was 200.00 and then someone else walked in and said it was 300.00. I told them as long as we can get the truck fixed I should be a happy customer. The inspection covered Dash warning lights, gauges, AC/Heater, Exterior lighting, wipers, batteries, oil level, transmission fluid, power steering fluid, drive belts, pulleys, radiator hoses, coolant level, coolant pump, air filter, etc....So unless you do an inspection with them for 200-300, dont bother coming here because they will not help fix what you ask them to fix. They have to throw this additional charge at you. Here is the best part. Their recommendation was to install proper battery hold downs, clean battery cable connections, repair wiring to alternator, replace alternator, drive belt, and retest for $1800. These guys wasted my money and my time. I fixed the damaged alternator cable by crimping on a ring lug.Do not come here unless you want to throw your money against the wind!
Highly recommend this place for all mechanic care for there vehicles
I use Frisbee Automotive to maintain all my vehicles. From the comprehensive multi point inspection, to their attention to detail, their is simply no better shop in the Dallas/Ft Worth metroplex. They go over the vehicle health report with you and you can tailor the work to your budget at the time. They also use factory replacement parts, not the junk that you can get from some of the popular auto parts retailers. If you want an honest, customer driven shop to perform work on your vehicle, then look no further than Frisbee Automotive. They will always have my business.
I called and set up an appointment to bring my truck in for alignment on May 6. Was quoted 150 for the alignment. Seemed high but I need it done before my tires were worn uneven. Dropped my truck off the morning of my appointment.I advised them I hit a bump and my steering wheel is now off and it pulls to the right.Fast forward a few hours I get a call they did a courtesy inspection on my truck and it needs 3,200 in repairs in the front suspension before they could do an alignment. Something seems off about that since my truck only had a little 15,000 miles. Needless to say I didnt spend 3k in repairs on a brand new truck and I advised them Id be picking it up. But was still required to pay 150 dollars for this courtesy inspection I never asked for.Took my truck to a reputable shop in waxahachie and had them do an inspection on the front end and they found the upper control arm bolt that adjust the alignment was loose from the pervious shop that did a lift kit. Highly wouldnt recommend Frisbee automotive. They tried to sell me 3k in front end work on a brand new truck that only had a loose bolt. Makes me question if they even looked at it or they just recommended everything just trying to fix it.
I find Frisbee Automotive to be outstanding in the service they provide and the information they share. I know exactly what is going on with my vehicle and what they are doing to service it. They have gone out of their way to accommodate me and have even provided a ride for me to and from work. They are local, highly skilled, and impress me with their service every time I go in. Plus, I love leaving in a clean vehicle!
Honest, reliable, through. If my mother needed auto repair, this is the only place I would send her. This has been run by the Frisbees for many years and they not only great work but have the established values that you want in any business.
I was in town visiting family and when I got to town I had a loud noise in the front end. Thought it was a CV joint going out. I did not have an appointment, but these folks took the time to check the front end out and find it was only part of the shield above the wheel that had cone loose. They were very friendly and there was no charge for their time!! Outstanding service!!!
Integrity and excellence! Our family is thankful for the continued service and care that we receive from Frisbee Auto.
I have used Frisbee Auto for our vehicles for over 16 years and thank them every time I pick them up. They fix it right and stand 100% behind there work. Which reminds me, I need to have an oil change in my F-250.
Customer service hands down the best you will find. Met me after hours to drop off truck for repairs. Kept me informed throughout the process. Washed and waxed and cleaned the interior as part of their normal customer service when you bring your vehicle in for a repair or service. Great owners. Nicest folks you can meet. They will forever have my business.
Sorry never been here.Just cant take it off my review list. But if it helps Ive never heard anything bad about them.
Frisbee Auto has handled all of our vehicle repairs for more than 10 years. The multipoint inspection is helpful because you get a “health report” on your vehicle that tells you what is critical to get repaired and what can wait. They will provide you with an estimate of the cost of repairs (that aren’t as crucial) so you can plan accordingly. The fact that Mike walked by my car & noticed I was missing a screw on my wheels shows his attention to detail. My car was parked in their parking lot, it wasn’t even in a bay yet. He put a replacement in (he didn’t have the right color in stock) and told me where to get the (European sized) screw in the right color and then replaced it for me as soon as I returned to his shop. In addition to all major and monthly maintenance on our vehicles, they have done amazing after market work on my husband’s trucks, adding fab4 bumpers & lights to make his truck exactly what he wanted. They always stand behind their work. Quality comes first is their motto for a reason. If you want it fixed correctly the first time or you want a show stopping rig sure to make every working man and/or off-roader drool... this is 100% the shop you want to go to.
People are awesome
These folks could not have been more helpful. A great family owned business that I would recommend for anyone passing through this area. They went above and beyond their job duties, helping me get to know the lay of the land (find good food and a cheap hotel for the night) and got my car up and running. 5 stars easy
Great service and really knowledgeable. Always have a great time when I have to take my vehicle in for service. Great job servicing and the detailing they do at the end is fantastic. My favorite thing they do is a multipoint inspection with pictures and suggestions they send to you through text as a document regardless of what you come in for.
Recently took my Kia Sportage in for service, and the entire staff was exceptional, will definitely take my car back in the future
These folks are amazingly kind and super knowledgeable. Never had an issue when and have taken multiple vehicles to them to work on.
I always get an honest evaluation and have never had to take my vehicle back in for follow up after it is repaired. It gets repaired the right way the first time.
I trust Frisbee Automotive to take care of our cars. Both of our cars are over the 175,000 mile mark, but they are in great shape and dont need replacing. At Frisbee Auto they are very informative about what they recommend for your car, what it needs and why it needs it. I wont go anywhere else.
If you want your vehicle fixed right the FIRST time, then this is the place to go. They will go above and beyond to take care of your repair. They are attentive and super quick to get your vehicle back to you as soon as it possibly can be. They definitely exceed the 5 star rating!!!!
Bad service an they have an attitude
We took a car here and were told we would need a new battery and the alternator fixed/replaced. we were Quoted over $1400 which seemed excessive since the part was only around $300 at most, so we took it to a different shop for a second opinion. Before we could even take it they got angry and stated there was a $120 inspection charge (which was definitely not stated or written for that matter), they refused to lend us a hand airing one of the tires to get in on a trailer, (we asked) they just simply watched from the window. Once we got a second opinion, we were told it would only be $600 to fix, Liars and cheats through and through. DO NOT take your business here!
I’ve been doing business with Frisbee Auto for many years now. They’re always honest and stand behind their work! First class operation!
Top notch service from top notch personnel! Technician Kevin is particularly awesome. Thanks!
Fast & friendly service.
We had our vehicle towed to this shop (and did not accompany it). My husband called and requested specific inspection and repairs for brake lines/booster and power steering pump/lines should have cost less than $1000 total. Instead, they performed a 150-point inspection complete with pictures (for which they charged approximately $150 and we did not request) and sent us a total repair plan for more than $11k. Its an older model vehicle - yes, we know a lot COULD be done, but we didnt ask for a full-body check-up. When my husband asked how much just the requested repairs would cost, their estimate was $4400. I had a good laugh because I had told him that he was going to see what it was like to be a woman and have a mechanic shop think you dont know anything about auto repair. We had to pay $150 to free our vehicle from the Frisbee jail, and then we had it towed to another premier auto repair shop. The repairs were completed for $650 (and that included an oil change). So, back to the 150-point inspection and repair plan. They wanted to change a brand new part simply because it wasnt an AC Delco part because AC Delco is the best. Warning bells! The best part was that they sent us a picture of a mouse nest (made of strips of firewall fabric) on the air filter. Youd think they would have shaken it off before they put the air filter back in, right? No, they carefully reinstalled the mouse nest with the filter. When we got the vehicle home from the second shop, my husband pulled out the air filter, and there was the exact same mouse nest. What business does that?! It was a clump of fabric strips clinging to the air filter. And although we had paid them $150 for an inspection that we had not requested, they didnt expend the energy required by a flick of the wrist to shake off the mouse nest before reinstalling the air filter. I anticipate the company will respond to my review with an excuse for their actions, as they have been wont to do for other negative reviews. However, their own photo of the mouse nest just cant be explained away. Obviously, I cannot evaluate the quality of their repairs since we did not allow them to make any, due to the inflated price they quoted. So, perhaps they do great work, if you dont mind paying 7-8 times what another repair shop would charge. We recommend doing your homework and getting a second opinion from other great mechanics in the area. I am giving one star because they did point out the existence of the mouse nest. And for that, we are grateful.
Everyone takes care of you and your car. Wouldnt take it anywhere else. They tell you what you need and will not do unnecessary work. Great people, give them a try and you wont go anywhere else.
Fair and honest mechanics! Their line of communication is fantastic and they dont make you feel dumb for not understanding an issue.
Phyllis and I are very pleased with the service provided by Frisbees Automotive. All our vehicles go to Frisbees Automotive for all repairs. Thanks
We have 3 Fords that Frisbee Auto has been maintaining for over 11yrs and they will stay that way because the quality of care given. I highly recommend them for any service on any car...
Had an emergency in the middle of a 20+ hour drive. They took wonderful care of me & my vehicle, & got me back on the road quickly. You cant beat service like that.
I have been taking my vehicles to Don Frisbee Automotive for nearly 15 years and have never failed to be impressed by both the quality of their work and honest advice they provide. I would highly recommend Don Frisbee Automotive.
Good service, nice people A little pricey.
I had some work done on my Toyota Land Cruiser here and I am very happy with the work.
Great shop! Owner operated with attention to detail. Took great care of an out-of-towner. I honestly cant say enough good about this little shop. I purchased a diesel vehicle at auction near this shop. Vehicle seemed solid enough. I wanted to get a pre-trip inspection and looked on the inter-web for a shop. Of course the best shop would be over in Dallas, so I drove over and several high dollar issues were found in the span of 45 minutes (without a road test). As I read the $2,400 estimate, I scratched my chin, then agreed. My saving grace, they wouldnt drive me back to my hotel in Waxahachie. Oh well, Ill return tomorrow. I stopped by a Ford dealership (for a 2nd opinion) who (after a 45 min. wait) informed me they had no diesel mechanic. As I waited, I googled diesel mechanic Waxahachie and found Frisbee. I got there before quitin time and met Mike... showed him my estimate and he had that funny look on his face and asked if I could bring it back in the a.m. I did and within a half hour, they were on it. All over it. I watched them perform test after test, inside, outside, under... It was taken for a road test for nearly an hour. It was good to see Mike take off in it like he stole it :) He returned and explained what he did, what he was looking for, the readings the truck read and suggested what was needed. Not much and certainly not the expensive parts I had been told I needed. He gave an explanation of why the previous shop most likely misinterpreted the code. I had all the fluids and filters changed and a upgraded air box installed as well as tire pressures and loose u-bolts tightened. My 800+ mile journey went off without a hitch. About 300 miles out, I called about a noise I was hearing and he graciously explained what, when and why I was hearing it. The guy is a SUPER SMART TECH and enjoys finding the why. Kudos to Mike, his wife and staff.IF, EVER!... you need auto or diesel service in the Waxahachie, TX area, please know you wont find a better, more honest shop around.
A business you can trust!
Best service in town!!
