Tiffany is the absolute best stylist Ive ever had. Ive been going to her for 6 years for haircuts but only just recently had my hair colored by her, and she completely hit it out of the park. She is always super informative and HONEST about the coloring process, and wont BS you - I knew off the bat that this color is something that is not easily achieved thanks to how she takes the time to educate her clients. Tiffany made sure to let me know what was happening every step of the way. I have very fine hair and have had nightmare dye jobs before coming to PIL that left my hair completely damaged and fried, but she made sure to keep an eye on and care for the integrity of my hair, making sure the lifting process would leave little to no damage. Ive been dying for this color for forever now and I am super stoked with the results! Tiffanys talent, knowledge, and skill are worth every penny, I love working with her and know I will always have killer results in her care :)

I had low lights done with Faith yesterday. She is a wizard of hair color! I walked in with washed-out-dyed-blond hair and walked out with golden layers of natural looking hair! I saw Missy for balayage highlights. I’m not new to getting my hair colored. I’ve never been here before. I had balayage brown to blonde, and wanted highlights over my roots to look more blonde. She was super nice. Everyone there was very nice. I showed her a picture of highlights from her Instagram that I said I loved it and wanted the style of highlights like that, plus to touch up my face frame highlights that grew out. I brought my extensions to reference color, and said I’d like my hair to turn out lighter rather than darker than my extensions, after I said I understand they can’t guarantee the color will match exactly (and I made sure to ask the salon about color matching to my extensions before booking the appointment). She barely looked at my extensions and didn’t check them again at any point for reference (like my hair stylists have done every time in the past). My highlights don’t look like the ones in the picture I showed and they’re a lot darker than I wanted. But the biggest thing is she forgot to touch up my face frame highlights on the right side…they’re still grown out like before she touched up my hair. I made sure to part my hair exactly like I always do, which she asked if I always part my hair like that. On the left side she did touch up the face frame highlights that had grown out but she forgot the right side. It’s so embarrassing that half my face frame highlights are still grown out after a trip to the salon. I tried to be happy with the way it came out but couldn’t so I called the salon about getting the face frame highlights fixed. The receptionist told me he would have Missy check her schedule and get back to me. Days later and no one has called me back. I expected the salon to care, and help me fix it. If Missy is busy, any hairdresser could do that quick fix for me, and I should have been called back like promised. Mistakes happen, but the 1 star is for not being called back to resolve the issue.

Been coming here for about 2 years to have my lashes lifted and tinted - have seen a few different technicians but most recently Maryann gave me the best lift and tint I’ve ever received! My lashes are very long but pin straight - she took quite a bit of extra time to make sure the perm held and finished off with a thorough tint ensuring that they’re perfectly lifted and jet black. Front desk is always lovely. Appointments run on time with social distancing precautions in full effect. Appreciate the attention to detail and the quality of the lift! Will definitely continue returning!

The best salon in the Tri-state area! My daughter and I drive over an hour to get to PILthesalon. Linda is incredible, I have never gotten a better haircut in my life! If I could leave 0 stars I would. I want to preface this review by saying this is not a reflection of my stylist, Marlinda, who is lovely & talented, but unfortunately the front desk & overall management of this establishment. From my first visit to this salon the front desk attendant acted rude and as if I was inconveniencing her. But my most recent visit really sent me over the edge. I booked in advance and was quoted one price. After my services were complete I was quoted an ENTIRELY different cost-which was because of not only the length of my hair, but because of the fact that I prebooked. It was then explained to me that if you book in advance the cost raises, as opposed to a walk in client. OK lets stop for a second and process this-in what world does that logic make sense??? Again, I was treated as an inconvenience and that I was crazy. If there was a stark contrast in booking costs why was this not explained to me after my first visit? Again the front desk was short with me and maintained the overall mentality of “it is what it is”. I am all about paying for services that warrant the cost, but this backwards logic, and overall bad attitude has me RUNNING from this place. Which is a shame because again, my stylist was lovely. Be forewarned and ask questions in regards to booking & costs.

Highly recommended!!! Kelly is the most incredible colorist and stylist — the only person I’d trust with my hair. Feels like a top notch NYC salon in NJ. FiFi is professional, friendly and extremely accommodating. All around amazing, clean salon with quality experience. Definitely recommend!

Public Image is awesome! I get my hair done with Missy and I am always so beyond happy with how it comes out. Gerri is AMAZING! She always takes her time with my cut and color. I am so grateful that I met her... my hair was so dead.
