Prices are ridiculous for mediocre food. Almost $12 for a plain waffle that was less appealing than a thawed out Eggo.
Super soft and moist Steak (And Eggs) - comparable to non-deli brisket (however, a lot of oil). White toast was smaller than typical bread sizes. (Minor) Kids pancake meal is ONLY for kids, so, if you cant handle that much, too bad.Otherwise, typical diner - (typical amount of staff knowledge/understanding variety cost etc).
Fast & courteous service. Breakfast was warm & delicious.

They serve a tasty, generous Jersey Diner Breakfast. The over easy eggs were perfect and they offer peppers and onions with your home fries if thats your thing. Id go back for the coffee alone.

Absolutely disgusting. The quality and flavor is poor. Ordered a grilled chicken Cesar wrap that had uncooked chicken, a soggy wrap, and had bacon which was never requested in the order. Highly dissatisfied and will never come here again!
I do deliverys for uber, Grubhub & doordash the merchant is really nice with drivers I love that !

I unfortunately got food poisoning from here a couple of years ago. I ordered pancakes and about an hour later I was throwing up for hours.
Good food at good prices. Order OJ and get a ~2 fl oz. cup. Not sure if normal size cups are available. Note: bacon was very thin but sausage links were short and fat, like me. You cant go wrong here for breakfast or lunch.

Super, comfortable eatery. Nice service, great down-to-earth owners. My wife and I had a super late breakfast, and the only thing I regret is not trying a cup of their pumpkin coffee.All this being said, we definitely plan on returning. I like small, Hometown eateries that are dependable, and Mannys Preakness Diner is indeed that.

I grew up going to this restaurant and ordering the BLT. I moved away and now that Im back in NJ, I came right back to this restaurant. My 13 month old son, my mom, and I have visited the restaurant at least once a week since he was born. The owners do an amazing job. They are warm and welcoming to every guest. The food is absolutely delicious. The grilled items are cooked perfectly and the salads, sandwiches, Greek specialties, and omelettes are our favorites. The waitresses are so friendly and great with children. This place has lots of regulars because the atmosphere is so inviting and the food is wonderful. We love this place!
Maybe just a one time situation. The service was awful. Like I’ve received bad service before and not a big deal it happens, but this was the worst service I’ve received anywhere. I was made to feel uncomfortable and like I should leave. The waitress started off friendly. I got a ginger ale, and there were floating, black specks of something in the ginger ale. I brought it to their attention and they gave me another one. This one however, still had a floating black speck in it. I brought it to their attention. They brought me another drink....it still had the same speck in there. It was hard to see because of the ice and the fizz, but it was there. I don’t know what it is and I personally dont want to ingest it, in case it’s mold or something similar. My friend had a water and it looked fine so at that point I just simply asked for a water. I didn’t get a water. I got, potentially the owner(older lady sitting in the front just answering phones), come to me and tell me the drink was fine, what I was seeing was just the carbonation of the drink. She then walks away with my ginger ale. So, I sit there eating my burger with nothing to drink, unless I want to share my friend’s water. The waitress didn’t stop by until I was pretty much finished, and was surprised no one gave me a water. Three to five minutes after getting my water I get the receipt, five minutes after that, at which point I was done with my burger and most of my fries, the waitress came back. Typically, a waitress asks was everything okay with the food, can I take this for you. I was asked if I could pay because she couldn’t close out the ticket otherwise. This all while the lady on the phone(maybe the owner) is peering over the counter at me. I haven’t been here in a couple years since I moved jobs, but this is the worst experience I have had anywhere. The waitress overall wasn’t super rude so I felt kind of bad not tipping, not the best service, but she didn’t make me feel 100% unwelcome. It was the other lady that said there was nothing in my drink and then was staring at me on and off over the counter while on the phone that topped off the unwelcoming experience.
Had the boss burger. Was very good. My wife had the chicken quesadillas which she also enjoyed. Nice comfortable little diner. I would recommend to try it if you havent already.
Nice diner with friendly people. Good for a quick stop or a bigger meal. Extensive Jersey diner menu with something for everyone. We just had eggs, bacon and hashbrowns with coffee. All very good. Moderately priced. Located next to cinema in Preakness shopping center.
Tried breakfast here a handful of times and always excellent. Its not the typical 24/7 Jersey diner, so dont go in expecting that. Has more of a homey, family feel. Fresh food, pleasing environment, and clean. Good service as well. They really stepped their game up after they remodeled some time ago.
I visited this diner for breakfast and it was delicious! I had eggs, bacon, homefries and toast. The eggs were fluffy, the bacon was crispy and the homefries were delicious. I recommend going here for breakfast, lunch or dinner. They have a lot of options and great customer service.
Love waynes best hidden gem diner! The food is always so fresh and the portions are huge !! The servers are so sweet and caring and pay immaculate attention to the customers ! Everything on the menu is delicious and you cant go wrong. The dinner specials are awesome they come with soup salad and dessert!!! at an amazing price and huge entree portion.

Stopped in for a quick bite with my boyfriend. Our server was Nicole, I made sure to get her name because I’ve had way too many bad dining experiences and this was the opposite.She was efficient, friendly and knowledgeable about the menu (we had a few questions). We tried the chicken stir fry as she suggested, so glad we did! Nicole even made us laugh. It’s nice to go somewhere and feel comfortable so thank you Nicole! Good food and great service? We will be returning.

Absolutely horrible. Waited for a TO GO coffee for over five minutes.. asked for no sugar (needed splenda), someone walked out while I waited, an order was wrong at the register and... you guessed it... sugar in my coffee. They fixed it and when they charged me $2.25 for a SMALL to go coffee. Refused to pay that (sipped it and coffee was terrible and burnt). Went to the deli next door and it wasn’t even $2.25 for a large! Plus they made a fresh pot for me... never ate there and never will. They can’t get coffee right. Nuts.
Great daily specials, fresh soups, and awsome salads. Staff is always willing to alter any menu items to my liking. Clean and comfortable you wont be disappointed.

I didnt care for my experience here. The waitress was rude. Never came back to check on us. Bussers and other waiters cleared our plates. Waited 15 minutes before going to the front to get my own check, pay and leave. Prices were out of this world. Me, and 2 children, ordered pancakes, the Bill was $36.00! I will not be returning here.

I have been a customer since 1995 when my office moved to Wayne. Two generations of family are hands on operators of the restaurant. Repeat customers are quickly recognized and personally greeted upon arrival. The food is excellent and the quality of their meals never falters. Daily lunch specials are varied and attractively priced. It is interesting to note that many of the waitstaff and the food preparation employees have a long tenure at the restaurant and create a genuine family atmosphere with a large number of regular and faithful customers. Try Manny’s Preakness Diner for great food and terrific service. You won’t be disappointed.

My wife and I went to the diner Monday evening, and we had a delicious meal. A flavorful skirt steak, cooked to perfection, served with grilled vegetables and rice, reasonably priced. With the meal, we had the most savory beef barley soup, and a spring salad, decorated with strawberries, oranges, pecans and blue cheese. With their homemade raspberry, vinaigarette dressing. My wife and I have not enjoyed a meal as satisfying in a long time. I might add that the lovely waitress was warm, friendly and efficient. What a wonderful dining experience in a very homey atmosphere.

Was here not to long ago. Was a decent sized crowd but only one server doing all the tables. Manager stood around on his phone while the girl struggled the entire time I was there. Food would have been good if it was actually served hot... Was overpriced for what I ordered even by Jersey standards.

I go to Preakness diner twice a month when I’m in the area, I donor get the same thing every time I ago cause there are so many delicious items I like to try, for example the best Gyro platter ever, better then a lot of places that there singnature item is the gyro by far the best I ever had, Spinach pie if I could give it a rating it would infinity... I had the pork chop dinner, guys if you haven’t tried it you are missing out... I’m just going to say this this week will be the surf & turf I already had but I can’t wait to try it again.... the staff and service 5 out 5, the owner John treat you like you are family, there aren’t a lot of places out there but here they are the best in every category.... I definitely recommend Many’s Preakness Diner!!!!!!!

Menu says drink included for lunch special. I tell lady at register that waitress added drink price and she says you are correct. She gives me change from my cash payment still charging me for the drink. SMH. What a scam.

Went here for breakfast and my friend found steel wool in his pancakes. He didnt want to eat after that. Worst part of it all was that they didnt take the food out of the bill and they had the audacity to say, Oh well, he usually doesnt finish his food anyway. Wow. Not returning here again. Poor service and food was subpar.
