Food was excellent! Fried calamari was CRISP but tender - and VERY shareable. The buffalo chicken quesadillas were thick and generously filled - and (you guessed it) - shareable. The pork chops were broiled to perfection and I took one home. Portion sizes are a bit big.Service good. Cocktails a bit overpriced.
This is our favorite diner in the area. There are never long waits unlike another diner in the area and the food is always good. The staff is always nice and friendly. We have been going to this diner for years and even moving farther away hasnt stopped us from going here.
While I was not super impressed, for the price point they were not bad. The diner serves American fanfare brought to your table by friendly staff as quickly as it comes out of the oven or stovetop. The facility was clean well lit and well staffed. The lunch rush was over and the dinner rush had not yet begun. The staff still on duty seemed genuinely eager to serve us. It was a pleasant experience. I say if youre in Wayne NJ, Wayne Hills Diner is nice place for breakfast lunch or dinner.

Good diner.Ate here on a Friday night and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Strong and tasty drinks. Especially enjoyed their Alabama Slammer. I had sandwiches with my girlfriend and loved the french dip. The meat was decent and the fries we crisped up nicely.I would go here again but want to try out more diners in my area. Thanks for the great job!
Great family vet run diner. Menu has it all. I had veal parm one night and chili with grilled ham & cheese the other. Both Great. Dessert...OMG. Outstanding.

Im dairy free and on the phone I confirmed four times, no cheese on my salad. When I came to the diner we confirmed it again, and no surprise there was cheese. If you are dairy free or have allergies, I definitely dont recommend coming here.
I love this diner so much that I travel 25 minutes to get there. It has gluten free options, a lot. Their gluten free Belgian waffles are delicious. Their omelets are big and tasty. And their staff is so kind and attentive. Only downside is gluten free is a tad bit overpriced, in my opinion. But always delicious!

Excellent experience. Took temperatures of customers before seating. Impressively clean atmosphere. Eggs cooked perfectly, bacon prime cut and large portions. Freshly brewed coffee! This is one of the best diners around. 😊

Omg. I know NJ is known for its diners but this one is absolutely the best! And if you need to be gluten free, this is the place to eat! They have dedicated kitchen space and an extensive GF menu that you just wont believe. Go there! Youll love it. And try the cheesecake! Best cheesecake Ive ever had.
My son wanted crepes. We went in, they had crepes on the menu. All good with that. Food was good but the place had a strong odor...possibly burnt coffee that gave me a pounding headache. Hopefully next time we go it wont smell so we can better enjoy it.
I was happy to finally sit in a restaurant for the first time since covid started but unfortunately I didn’t have a good experience here. I got challah French toast with strawberries and it was delicious and warm and gooey. That being said I don’t think it was supposed to be gooey on the inside like that.. because I got super sick. I started feeling ill a few hours after eating, my stomach was bloated and in a lot of pain. Kind of like I had a loaf of bread dough rising in my stomach. I felt sick the whole night but it got much worse when I was throwing up later that night. I ended up in the hospital soon after because of how sick I got. I don’t think I’ll be coming back any time soon.. :/

If I could give it minus 5 stars I would. I was wondering how a place can have such a huge menu yet maintain fresh food. Well I found out after eating the hash eggs and pancakes which came out less than 5 minutes after I ordered it. I woke up at 1am that night and had sever food poisoning. I was projectile vomiting for 12 hours straight. It was the worst puking Ive ever done I actually thought I was going to die. And as for 5he staff well not really that friendly at all. DO NOT EAT HERE!!!!!!!

The best thing about this place are the people. They are friendly and deliver good customer service. The food...eh. I mean, its not horrible, but its definitely nothing to write home about. Their first mistake is having so MANY things are the menu. Any successful restaurant or diner should know you cannot perfect one dish when offering EVERY dish. Presentation of food, average. Taste of food, average. I wish I took pictures to show, but youll see what I mean if you visit. There are fast good chains that offer better looking and tasting food. Wayne Hills Diner, step up your game.

Got a chicken Ceasar wrap. The chicken was dry and unseasoned. The lettuce was soggy and the dressing did not taste like ceasar dressing at all. Im so sad I spent $17 dollars on one wrap plus delivery tip. Wont ever buy again.

Tried this place 2 times, ordered different wraps each time. The first wrap was a chicken gyro wrap, it was delivered chickenless. I just ordered a chicken cheesesteak wrap and it was disgusting. I will officially not give this place another attempt.
Always a welcoming place with great food no matter the time of day. The staff is great and friendly even at 2am and the prices are fair, especially when you are on a budget and just need a good breakfast for dinner. Even the more expensive dishes are worth the price (try the broiled seafood platter ;D).

The Wayne Hills Diner can be summed up in one word, YUMMMMM 😋 The burgers, the the appatizers, the fries, the meals, all are delicious. If your only a breakfasts / late night visitor to diners, you gave to try a tastey lunch or delectable dinner and the Wayne Hills Diner. Good food, a little pricy, but where else can you have a great meal on your PJs and not be embarrassed because the Wayne Hills Diner is as good as home cooking.
Gluten Free Friends, I just had the creamiest GF Penne with Alfredo Sauce! Thrilled to see a local diner with a Gluten Free Menu! Do not skip dessert either. Go directly to the GF cheesecake. Delicious! Will be revisiting Wayne Hills Diner again!
Awesome diner! Has Dedicated Gluten free items that taste great. For a Celiac, this diner is a diamond! Live in Hudson County and its worth the drive to Passaic County.

Food good, service poor, and they werent busy. Waitress had good recommendations. Take out sat till it was cold, sent it back all they did was microwave it, very disappointed.

Great Gluten Free menu! Owner is gluten free, so separate fryer for steak fries, separate area for gluten free cooking, wait staff is educated in gluten free, etc. I still err on the side of caution and remind the wait staff that Ill get sick if food is not gluten free. But, thats just me and Ive never gotten sick there - neither has my sister. My favorite is the chicken finger platter with steak fries! Crunchy, fried goodness! Yum!

Had the waffles deluxe (Belgium waffle with 2 eggs and sausage) and it was absolutely fab. Light, fluffy and crunchy waffle. Sausage links were well done and smooth, meaty texture inside. Coffee hot and strong. Service was a bit eh. (One member of my party was served coffee in a mug that had red stains (lipstick?) On the lip. (Gross! 😝) And it took forever to get a replacement cup. (And, no apologies! 🙄) Better service wouldve made it a five star experience.

I havent been in awhile since my mom took ill and ran into one the waitress there and I explained the situation. Ive always enjoyed them we became family. Ill be going back to visit them just to keep the connection their youngest kid was a student,when I was the cook the school was across the street they have q delicious raspberry mocha cake that is to die for.

You know how NJ diners have an specific expectation of average to above average whatever-you-want at any time of day or night? This is one of those diners but the Wayne Hills Diner is one youd find in the dictionary next to NJ Diner. The selection of food is, well, its what Id expect to be in a really good NJ Diner. They have so much for breakfast, lunch and dinner, also they have tons of gluten free options for a friend of mine. The food came out hot, fast, and better than I expected for a NJ Diner. If it wasnt so far from NYC, Id come here several times a week. I have a friend living out here so well always meet here for a bite to eat. Also the apple cinnamon pancakes have lots of cinnamon (just how I like it) and tons of apples. 10/10 will come here again.

This is an amazing food find. The menu is extensive, inside elegance, waiter & staff are very polite, not a typical diner & not typical diner food. It is a great place to eat. My dinner was a gluten friendly choice & I loved every bite. Serving sizes are perfect to satisfy or over satisfy because youre sure to have a full belly. Slowest service ever! Took us 25 mins to get the check and I had to ask another server. Once I got it, it took 20 mins for him to bring my card back. The place isn’t that buys, there are 3 servers and open tables. Will NEVER come back here.Sad because the food was great!

Good greek salad
Great food and service. This is my go to diner in all of NJ. Home fries are delicious and always done to perfection - not greasy at all. As a resident of Hunterdon county I dont get up to Wayne very often, but when I do this is a must stop. My personal favorite is the taylor ham and cheese omelet.

The food was delicious. I had the chicken parmesan with linguini and the mozzarella sticks were delicious. The waiter was very courteous to me and my boyfriend.They do give you an abundance of food serving and its a great place to stop for a rest to eat.
The waitress was very friendly, the French fries are delicious, but.. second time I asked for a medium burger and got medium well...or well. Changes the whole burger taste.

Great Gluten free selection, food is on par or better than average diners as seen from what my table ordered. Price point is about average or fair pricing. Dont order the large chocolate chip cookies theyre not how my grandma made them. They have alcohol for evenings out if thats your thing. Service was friendly and on par.
A great alternative to some of the other fancier diners in the area. The decor may be a bit dated, but its a diner, what do you expect. The food is good, and service is quick. The Greek specialties are amazing! Definitely on par with some standalone Greek restaurants.

Good food! Standard diner fare so they basically have almost EVERYTHING you could want to eat there. The French Toast I had was really good, and we also had a Jersey diner standard disco fries, it was my 6 year olds first time trying them, and I am happy to say all the food was delicious. On top of that we were in and out in under an hour feeding a family of 4, which is great! Definitely worth a visit.
Had the fish and chips for lunch today. It was delicious! The wait staff is very pleasant as well. My husband highly recommends their goulash available only as a Monday special.
This is a great diner. I had been there years ago and thought it was just average but just visited again recently and was pleasantly surprised by all the menu offerings and how delicious the food was. I will definitely be back soon. And BTW, for all of you gluten sensitive or intolerant folks, they have a very nice selection of gluten free items.
