Got a 2 inch nail in my tubeless tire less than a mile after leaving the train station for a 5 day bike tour. Tried fixing with a dart repair but apparently the sealant doesn’t work so well with low pressure hand pump to seal leak. Local guy picked me up in his truck and took me/recommended Arlberg. Adam at Arlberg had me back in the saddle in 30 minutes and said there was no charge so I gave him a handsome tip. He also showed me a great route by the river through town versus dealing with the lights and nails on Mission street. Thanks Adam and thanks bike karma.
Arlberg Sports is AWESOME!! The staff is great! Especially the bike mechanics!! Those guys couldnt be more helpful!! Thanks again guys!!!
Great to find such highly skilled ski and boot techs is a small town .
Great service today from Owen! On a whim we came to town to look for ski boots. With little time before closing Owen fitted and educated us on everything we needed to know to have comfortable and fitted ski boots! Had is in the right boots and we were sold! Thank you very much!
Poor management. Employees are overworked and usually seem stressed. I brought my bike here for a simple repair and was told it would take several days. The Trek store across the street fixed it in less than five minutes and didnt even charge me. This is not an isolated incident, either. Just go to Trek.
I got fitted for a pair of ski boots by Jeff at Arlberg today and was very happy with my experience. Jeff was friendly, knowledgeable, and was genuinely concerned that I found the right fit—I didn’t feel like I was being pitched the most expensive boot. Great experience!
Bran helped me get set up with a beginner snowboard that I love. I was originally leaning toward another brand but after his suggestion I found that this board was better fit for my riding style and ability. Theyve also been super helpful re-fitting my wifes ski boots that were purchased years ago. The best part though? Their prices are the same (sometimes better) than Amazon. You can can be sure youre getting the best price at Arlberg.
The employees working with the equipment such as the skis and snowboards, are always pretty helpful and welcoming. I was helped right away when I walked in, by one of the employees that work mainly in that part. But when I went in the next day to purchase some ski boots, the employees that work the cashier treated me in a condescending matter. I had to approach them after waiting in line for bit, then I was treated as if I was speaking nonsense, when I was just asking to pay for the equipment I put on hold the previous day. The cashier asked if I was going to pay or not, when I had a question about the pricing. The day before I was told it was a specific price, then when I came in the next day, the boots I had put on hold were almost raised by $150 more. I was caught off guard, and had obvious questions on why the sudden change in price. But I was treated as if I wasn’t able to afford the boots because I had questions. I was so caught off guard with the sudden price change and being treated rudely, I just payed the 20% deposit hold on the ski boots. And after agreeing to pay, the way I was treated completely changed. I was treated like how a costumer should be treated, with respect. I felt as though I was being treated so rudely because I’m a younger woman who doesn’t know everything about ski equipment, as the cashier seemed to make clear. Obviously I’m coming to you for your services, because I don’t know much about the specifics with ski equipment. So to be treated as if I was speaking insanity, rather then maybe being helped to find ski boots in the price range I previously set, I was treated as I couldn’t afford the ski boots. I felt obligated to pay for the deposit, instead of being helped to find a different pair. Not impressed. Will be going back for a refund, and to find ski boots that I actually know the price of.
I have always been impressed with arlburg: their knowledge and willingness to help. I’ve bought several skis here and recently a pair of boots from Owen. He was outstanding and helped me get the perfect fit. However, today I went in to buy a pair of skis, bindings and boots for my daughter. The first person I talked to, told me to buy skis to her forehead. I told him I disagree and thought to her chin/nose would be better for a beginner. After that he acted offended saying whoa, okay Ill get someone else for you to talk to. The second guy confirmed that the proper length would be to her chin/nose, the first guy simply walked away. The new salesman, then told me he wouldnt sell me anything without my daughter there, even though I had all her measurements. He told me I should just rent skis. (I started skiing at 3 and want the same for her) After looking for myself I found the size that my daughter would need and they had it all in stock. I would have happily bought everything for my daughter there, along with some other things we needed for the season. Instead, I left annoyed with the lack of assistance and a salesman literally trying to talk me out of buying something. I would have loved to support a local business but they thought I should rent. I guess Evo will get my business.
Shout out to Bran who helped us pick just the right pedal assist bikes for our needs for many years to come. We felt that all our questions were answered thoroughly, we were treated well, and the time was taken to make sure that we had everything we needed. Its so wonderful to have businesses like this in our community that make us feel like family.
Your SwiftWick brand socks started to get holes after 3 wearings
Have brought my bikes for repair several times. Each occasion provides professional service in a timely manner.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff very good products
Great place!Really enjoy the atmosphere, like the products in the store and the staff are always super nice.I enjoy riding as well on the group rides that they host in the spring and summer time and I look forward to doing that again!I’ve had my bike parts serviced here and the prices where super good and a fast turn around. Very happy with the experience and will be making this my go to place for anything outdoor sports related.Highly recommend.
Decent shop and some friendly staff, others not so much. Was just in there with fiancee and bought 1 jacket and was going to buy another jacket for her and 1 sales person said they would honor their own store price on the exact same item... only deference was the guys was marked 40% off and the womans was only 20% off. Both are exact same msrp and year of production. Then at register a woman interrupted the sale and said they could not do it.. lady was pretty rude with no real reason on why they couldnt do it. all I can say is they lost 2 customers today, as I will not purchase again from them and if the 1st jacket was returnable I would return it now. Sucks they are up selling and ripping off women. This is 2 year old product that they are selling and even with a 40% discount they still would be making 20% on old product sitting on the shelf.
Great service, very helpful and inexpensive
Amazing staff, lots of great products, clean store.
Best buying experience ever! Didn’t have much knowledge about mountain bikes. Josh and Bram were amazing to work with! They answered all my questions, never pressured to purchase anything and I walked out with 2 news mountain bikes that fit my needs perfectly. Highly recommend these 2!!!!
Custom boot fitting. Adjustments can be done right after a day of skiing. Year round sporting equipment is always stocked.
The best possible service and shoppingg environment for sports equipment. And they have the most modern equipment for ski/board maintenance.
Super helpful. Well stocked local shop. We got several recommendations for good rides
Staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Boot fitting staff is some of the best in the region.
Great local outdoor sports store - just today we were heading out on a ride and one of the kids bikes had a dreaded goathead thorn... Bought a new new tube and the shop swapped it out in a matter of minutes and they only charged for the tube!
Super helpful staff and expertise unmatched in the valley.
We forgot we had our bikes on our roof-rack and we were on our way to chelan to camp. We drove under a low hanging garage and screwed up our bikes pretty good. We stopped at Arlberg in Leavenworth and even though they were super busy they took the time to check out our frames and let us know what repairs were needed. They didn’t have the parts in stock but the Wenatchee store did. We checked at a couple of other local bike stores but the parts were WAY more expensive. The Wenatchee store took the time to take the broken parts off and put the new ones on during a busy Saturday. Thank you for the great help and excellent customer service!!! You saved our trip :)
My wife and I both purchased mountain bikes here and couldn’t be happier with the level of service. The team at Arlberg is very friendly and knowledgeable!
We had an amazing experience at this shop. This was our first time mountain biking. We were pretty unprepared but staff were so helpful. Erik is a gem! He is very knowledgeable and extremely kind. He let us rent out a couple of mt bikes. Then he showed us all the trails. He also went out of his way and let me borrow his own bike rack. We had so much fun.
I purchased a pair of Salomon Quest 130 ski boots last year from Arlberg Sports. Owen, Mike and Allison all helped with fitting my boots over the season as well as Owen helping me with a custom orthotic. Loved those boots, had them dial in perfect. This year while pulling on my boots on a Mission Ridge ski day the left boot tongue broke. I took them back to see if I could get Salomon to replace them. Another worker Jose took the boots in, called Salomon while I waited then contacted Scott the owner to relay the issue. Scott had Jose fit me for a pair of rental boots until we heard from Salomon. That evening Scott called me back and offered to set me up with a similar pair of Salomon boots from the current year. He explained I may have to wait until deep into the season before I received replacement boots from Salomon. No slight on Salomon, I love their products it was just going to take a while. Scott upgraded the boots with a booster strap making them better than the previous boots. These are the best boots Ive ever owned. I highly recommend Arlberg Sports for their amazing customer service.
Brought my skis to REI for a new mount. They messed it up. Badly. $1000 of new gear. Arlberg (Dan - ski shop) saved the day and saved the new set up! #opt4Arlberg
Jeff always give exception customer service I highly recommend Alberg Sports
Order a North Face Tent online. It shipped super quick. Awesome gear at amazing price.
Very helpful staff.
Sadly a poor and painful experience. My son rented some boots for a three day weekend and despite specifying that he was a size 11 they outfitted him with smaller boots. Of course he tried them on at the store, felt a little cramped but believed that once he would lean forward his foot would go back in the boots and it would feel OK.Despite the increasing pain during the day he tried to grind it out to eventually having to stop mid day and unable to walk to the car. His toenails are purple and are likely going to fall off. I returned the equipment and told the manager this was completely unacceptable. He merely offered to refund the rental, which at this point I didn’t care, as my son’s weekend is now ruined and he will have to stay in a hotel room while the rest of the family goes skiing.
Great service, always take care of my bike quickly and do a great job.
Really impressed with these guys. I needed to get a piece of equipment for a race and was running short on time. Josh helped me out by delivering my item to our hotel. What a huge help! Thanks Alberg Sports.
Awesome experience salestaff was awesome. Super accomidating and helpful held a bike for me 2 days till i could come try it and buy. I would recommend to anyone thats looking for a bike.
Awesome place to go buy gear or rent bikes etc. Went various times this last summer and the service was great. My bikes always got adjusted to my liking and i had no problem with them while out. I truly recommend this place. Its great.
Great local sporting goods store. Knowledgeable staff, who use the equipment they are selling, will help you find the right gear for you. They stock pretty much anything you might need for activities in the area and have high quality brands and options.
Went here today after a terrible experience at cycle Central, interested in bikes. Awesome service! Even though the guys knew right away that the bikes we wanted werent anything they carried, they were more than willing to talk about our interests, show us what they had and then put us on something similar and let us go out for a ride!Very professional and knowledgeable staff regarding bicycles and their tech shop was great as well. Showed us some great gear and let us shop at our own pace.Definitely will return for accessories and tune up!
We were visiting the Wenatchee area and found this most excellent sports shop. We purchased a Yakima rack and cargo box from them. The prices were very fair. Our salesperson, Kyle, was delightful. Kyle and the owner, Scott, did the installation of the racks and box. They worked efficiently and very well together..and did not charge for the installation. Since we are new to the area, we needed some recommendations and directions. Tina was friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful. All in all, a good experience. We would definitely shop here again.
Great Servicei Always Knowledgeable staff!
VERY disappointed. I purchased a $1,500 Specialized bike and spent an additional $500 or so on miscellaneous gear, for a total of $2,000. The sales process was wonderful and the young lady who helped me last year was excellent. With the sale, I was promised two free tune-ups. This all happened last July of 2012 or so.My wife bought a Trek bike September 2012 and the store she bought it at went out of business shortly thereafter - bummer! Luckily a new Trek store opened up across the street from Arlberg so I decided to drop both bikes off at the same time. I dropped off her bike at the Trek store and told them it was brand new and they offered immediately to do the tune-up for free. Refreshing, as they hadnt made a dime off of me yet. Then I walked across the street to Arlberg to drop my bike off. In the service department, a young man, long blond hair, helped me. I told him I was there for the free tune-up that came with the bike. He asked me when I bought the bike and I told him July of 2012 and he informed me that the free two tune-ups had to be done within six months of buying the bike. I told him that I didnt know anybody who would have their bike tuned up twice in six months and argued with him. He did reluctantly offer to do this one for free, but I would have to pay in the future. OK, when can you have it done by? This will take about 6 days. Huh??So, I walked across the street, back to the Trek store and asked them if they could tune up a Specialized as well, which of course they could. Went back to Arlberg and picked up my bike. Id rather pay the new Trek store to service my bike than get a free service from Arlberg. I would NOT recommend buying a bike at Arlberg, the sales process was wonderful, but the service in their repair shop absolutely stinks. Go across the street. Those folks actually care.
The sales staff is always pushy and makes me feel very uncomfortable. If at all possible I avoid this store unless they have something I need.
Stopped in to get custom fitted for a new pair of Tecnica hiking boots. Very friendly service, and competitive pricing (for outdoor goods retailer). This also shared some great recommendations for good biking in the area and trail statuses. Even picked another pair of Altra running shoes that were on sale.
At Arlberg, the service is not pushy. Theyll answer all your questions - I ask a lot of them - and are glad to help. They dont act like theyre too busy to help out! They have a great selection at a variety of price ranges, though I wouldnt say anything is low budget.
Amazing people and selection. Very knowledgeable staff. Ive been a customer for over 40 years!
I always get great service here, and I purchased a nice ski helmet for less than I could find online.
We didnt realize the closed at 6 when we walked in at 5:30. We were looking for a coat and snow shoes. Found a coat we were going to purchase for our son but the employee came over and rudely said we are closed. We left without a coat. That is ok they were a bit overpriced anyway. They gave us the perfect excuse not to buy.
Great staff. Very knowledgeable and helpful.
This is the perfect place for anything outdoors. Staff can answer any questions and are chill but still knowledgeable. Anyone who writes a bad review on this video lace must be stupid and not have even gone to the same place.
We were in the market for some specially padded gloves that my wife could use while she used a temporary walker during recovery from surgery. We tried various stores in the valley with little success until we stopped at Arlberg Sports. The wife was unable to exit the car to look at the selection so I had a chat with an employee whos name was Kellen. He was more than happy to leave the store with several glove selections and come to the car for the wife to try. A very friendly and helpful employee that Arlberg Sports can be proud of. Now thats service with a smile with a bit of returned faith that shopping downtown Wenatchee is the way to go. Thanks Kellen. P.S. We purchased the gloves from Arlbergs.
Just the truly nicest sales folks I have seen anywhere in Wenatchee. Very helpful & knowledgeable, but just nice people. That is greatly appreciated. That is why we ALWAYS shop there first.
Was gifted a beautiful Osprey bag for Christmas and was told I could return it for a different size/color from the gifter. (I had already bought a bad the gifter was unaware of). Receipt was in the top sleeve of the bag and I was unaware of the return policy until I was back at the store because it was promised it would be a non issue. Unfortunately, I was unaware of the 30 day return policy and was not so nicely informed of this while trying to return it. It’s been 40 days. They refused to give me cash and said they would only give store credit. So now I am out over $300 and FORCED to spend money at a store I want nothing to do with. Very disappointed.
I bought a great pair of ski boots at a reasonable price and what made them even better was the fitting they did for me. I was treated very well by their staff and didnt feel hurried to get that just right fit which has made my feet feel so much better!
Had such a great experience at Alberg Sports. I have been shopping for a good pair of skis and boots for years. The customer service that I received at Alberg was incomparable to anywhere I have shopped. Allison was so helpful and knowledgable. She spent almost 2 hours with me discussing my ski style and fitting me into the perfect boot. I found out that I have been wearing boots that are 3 sizes too big for me for the last 3 years! I live 3 hours away from Wenatchee but plan to shop here for all my skiing needs from now on. Highly recommend!
If you are looking for a winter sports specialty item, good chance to find it here
The best sports shop in the Valley, without question!
Best ski shop in the world. Choice of great gear for all levels, including high end, great prices, incredible staff.
Great place and very helpful staff.
Great customer service and Knowledge of products in the ski product area
Over the past 3 years of living in central Washington, I have desperately tried to like Arlberg Sports since I ride Specialized equipment and they sale (and supposedly service) Specialized equipment. I currently have a cracked front fork on a 3 year old bike (not purchased rom Arlberg). This is the 4th opportunity for their service department to win me over. Unfortunately their customer service is absolutely atrocious. I have decided to take my bike back to the west side and have the warranted replacement dealt with by a bike shop that cares. I cant speak about the sales department at Arlberg which seems to have good reviews. I definitely do not recommend their service department.
Awesome customer service staff. These people must go through some sort of onboarding that trains against the typical sell whats on the shelf, close the sale before the customer leaves, and my favorite load them up with high profit accessories.I am a bit of a do it myselfer, so I dont have much interaction with the guys downstairs. The interactions Ive had have all been very helpful, and prompt. Ive even said you dont have to stop what youre doing to help me this second, but they insisted to help.My experiences have been early 2016 to present. I do know that there is a bike shop across the street. Theyre nice, but I like the hometown feel and broad range of help that the staff at Arlbergs provides. If they dont have what you need, theyll offer you suggestions of places nearby that might. Just very service oriented people who enjoy what they do.
Great staff, so helpful and knowledgeable!
Always fantastic!
