BE AWARE Of This Scambag dealership. They never tell customers about Corvette C8 Markup ahead of time. People order their car through this Scammers/Thieves at Payne, and when the cars arrived they Charge $10k to $15k over MSRP. People please complain to GM to cut these crooks allocations..

Well to begin with, the Sales Manager went $10k above the sticker price which he said now a days it is the norm. When we question him regarding this, he said it was allowed and that someone will walk into the dealership and pay that price for the vehicle we purchased. At that moment i wanted to walk out but he said he would do his best to help us out once he saw that I was not budging into his high price. Then it was more and more lies as we starting adding the numbers. He went from a 6 year deal to a 8 year then he switched it to 7 years not wanting to give me a warranty for the vehicle I was purchasing. I sure will not purchase another vehicle from Payne Weslaco Motors.

I ended up having to buy a new car. no one apologized or acknowledged the issue.This last visit I got an oil change and fuel system cleaning. I asked the advisor about a paint pen. The Chevrolet parts department has a really rude lady employee. Been waiting for a online part order for 3 months. Went by a month ago so she could rudely tell me not to go by they’d call me when it came in. Had to call GM to find out my part had been there since may 3. Went by to pick up today July 12 and same lady with same attitude. Got my part without any paperwork because she just wanted me out of there. Don’t like your job find something you do.

The issue with my vehicle has been the AC from the very first week it was purchased. I have taken the vehicle in several times and my AC is still not cold like it should be. Also they left the rear seat belt un attached. I spoke to Roel the service manager about it and he did not ever get back to me. The seat belt is currently un attached and it had been at least a month since I brought this matter up.

09/27/2021 please see second review dated 09/25/20211 very dangerous driving a vehicle with no brakes, caused by Edpayne still no response from them!bought pre own 2015 gmc acadia we had problems since day one, its still in the service department, it has been over a month!, and we still dont have it back, weve. been payingfor this vehicle and the insurance an dont, even have the suv. I do not recommend anybody buying any vehicles there, very unprofessional sales and service!!!09/25/2021 WE Finally got the vehicle back after they had it over a month, my wife and her mom were in the vehicle, when the brakes failed, foot pedal went all the way to the floor, they came very close on hitting another vehicle, they were lucky they did not get hurt or killed, nor the other family in their car, imagen driving 65 mph, and brakes fail, deadly accidents can be avoided if work is done properly, the brake caliper came off, all brake fluid leaked out, my wife is still all shaky because of this incident, brakes were worked on by Edpayne, nothing but problems with this vehicle, engine oil leaks, coolant leaks, broken engine mounts etc.

One of the things I have always dreaded as an adult, was buying a car at a “Big Dealership”. There always seems to be an ulterior motive with salespersons. We all know they work on commission but it sometimes seems like the dealership only wants to push out vehicles regardless if it’s in the best interest of the customer.I recently visited Payne Chevrolet in Weslaco, TX and this was not the case!! Mind you, I did not purchase the vehicle I went to view, but instead I purchased the vehicle that was perfect for my family and situation. The deal I got was way better than what I anticipated. The salesperson could have easily sold me the vehicle I went to look at but after analyzing my situation, he guided me to a way better buy.I will definitely recommend and return when needed.

When they were going to do the repair my warranty was not covering a part that was in my contract. They were trying to charge me an extra 400$ for the AC hose which was covered in my warranty. I spoke with a manager who mentioned he was not able to do anything. I chose not to proceed with the repair and look over my contract with another agent from the repair center. After they reviewed my contract the AC hose was covered and i was not supposed to be charged for the part. I had to wait another day just to find out if it was covered even though it was showing in my warranty contract. I had to wait 7 days with no rental and no assurance that my car was going to be repaired. The next day they were able to confirm it was a component that was covered in my warranty and the lady had just misheard what the repair sales agent had said. I was about to be charged an extra 400$ all because they were not able to communicate correctly with the warranty agency. This is not acceptable by any means. Customer service should be universal all around and all Ive have got from Payne weslaco is the worse service i have received in my entire life. The car purchase was horrible aswell due them not making sure the Front light was working. I had buy the light myself. The point inspection was not done correctly at all. The oil changed was not even changed when i got the car and had to wait for that process also.

I personally was not looking to buy a new car. My husband was the one that had wanted to look into trading in our car (I was happy with Travis the Traverse... yes, I give my cars names). Anyway, the guys at Payne were very friendly, and knowledgeable. My husband was all set on getting one type of vehicle, but since I was the one that was going to drive it to work (my husband works from home) I refused to get that vehicle. It was waaaay too BIG for me to drive. In the end... 4 hours later, we drove away in a 2021 GMC Canyon (his name is Calvin) it only had 22 miles on the odometer AND it was costing us +$100 LESS a month than Travis on our monthly payments. It is also fuel efficient. With gas prices going up I really cant compare the cost of gas from one vehicle to the other, but comparing it gas tank to gas tank, its about the same. From Sunday to Sunday, I only use half a tank of gas to get to work, run errands, and get home.

Horrible Service department. After nine long days, two service advisors and three phone calls later I finally got my pick up fixed. They dont call you to let u know whats going on with your vechile. And if u call them directly they never answer. Definitely dont take it to payne service department. If it was possible I would give them zero stars. One is too many.

Over a period of a month May 24, 2021 thru June 26, 2021 I tried to get a Service Tire Monitoring System error corrected. They replaced a tire sensor front right ($147.00) that did not correct the problem. Service told me that it was a receiver problem ($218.00) this also did not correct the problem. I spent 3 days without my vehicle and 2 1/2 hours waiting in Shop to have a key fob reprogramed because of the receiver being replaced. Drove to Parsons, Kansas after Receiver was installed and the same error of Service Tire Monitoring System again.I took the Traverse to Tom Davis Chevrolet (Parsons, KS) where I purchased it from and Talked to Brian Larkin (Service Manager) he fit me right in and determined it was a faulty tire sensor (right front) that had been installed by Payne Chevrolet. Mr. Larkin took the vehicle right into the service shop and replaced the Tire Sensor that had been installed at Payne Chevrolet in Wesleco, TX. Mr. Larkin told me he would warranty the part if I would email him a copy of the Invoice from Payne Chevrolet which I did. This corrected the problem of the Service Tire Monitoring System Error. Tom Davis had me back on the road in 40 minutes. Thank You Tom Davis and Mr. Brian Larkin for your expertise and help.I spent $350.00 and days trying to get the problem resolved at Payne Chevrolet in Wesleco. I am a very dissatisfied customer and I would not recommend getting work done at Payne Chevrolet.Sincerely,Greg York

We were told on line they have a Spark that was an LT with a manual transmission, so we drove there from San Benito to BUY it! Got there the Spark was an automatic and also it was an LS. Very maddening! We did not buy a car. Dealer needs better to correct the info on the care they have in stock!
