Needed a big truck tire last minute before a road trip and this place was awesome. They had a great selection of tires and saved us A TON of money. Will definitely be going back and referring everyone here.

They fit us in right away, allowed our dog to wait inside out of the heat, and replaced our tire quickly. I just wish they could have repaired the one we had since it only had 8000 miles on it and we had to spent 130 to replace it. After a long road trip the quick service was greatly appreciated.

Not sure of the name of the person but both guys I had talked to up front were very nice. The guy who told me my price which was more than I expected bc the website says $109.99. He explained thats just brakes & I needed rotors as well for the front & that my back is at 50% and dont need to do those right now that they are still good. Great place I came here because of the price I saw online and because of the reviews I saw on here were all good.

So I recently had to go into the Mavis store in West Columbia and Brian who is the manager that was absolutely amazing great customer service. I needed to get two new tires plus I had a nail in one of my tires I also need to replace a headlight that could be very costly . Brian explained everything to me called me and gave me all their pricing information and all the details before doing the work contacted me as things were going very professional. I would recommend this place to anyone and if you see Brian you would definitely know the kind and courteous customer service he will give you

DO NOT GO HERE EVER!!! Cannot make zero stars. Three and a half hours to mount 4 tires. With at one point 5 employees standing around my truck. Two didnt know how to use a power window switch and four couldnt figure out simple solutions. When I got upset due to thier lack of knowledge and mechanical skill to change tires in a timely manner with 5 guys standing there I was told they would call the police and get my vehicle towed away. Very disrespectful, extremely rude and extremely incompetent.

Mavis has been professional, friendly, and usually pretty reasonable on costs. They try upsell services like any mechanic, but they dont force anything on you. Good group to have looking over your vehicle.

I had a leak in one of my tires and stopped here without an appointment. Not only did they have excellent customer service, but they fixed my tire quickly and made me feel safer driving. I will be coming back here for any tire or brake issues from now on. I normally hate going to car places because of what a hassle it is, but Mavis is exceptional.

My daughter got a nail in her tire the Sunday before move-in day at school. We lucked out and found this great place. We felt lucky that they were open on a Sunday. The guys took great care of us. They tried to patch the tire first instead of pushing new tires on us right away. The waiting area was very clean and the guys were very friendly. They were busy but we still got out of there in under two hours. My daughter knows to keep this place in mind if she ever needs help again.

I went into Mavis on a Thursday night needing my spare put on after a nail went into my rear right tire. The younger guys that were there on Thursday night were very kind and super helpful. They were in their 20s and showed me respect and kindness. I came back to following Sunday afternoon to get a new tire to replace the spare, thinking that I would get the same service. The man at the front desk was older, maybe in his 50s or 60s and he was very rude to me. He kept calling me Sweetheart and Sugar while talking down to me about my car as if I didnt know anything about my own car. I am so disappointed in the way I was treated by this older man. I have a masters degree, so I think I can keep up. I would recommend going to this place only if you find out the hours that the older man works to avoid being disrespected when looking for tire and auto service. He ended up giving me a discount (I guess in some way to apologize for being rude) but apologies dont register with me through gifts. Maybe next time, he should apologize with words instead of money.

Showed up with a major leak in my tire 20 minutes before they closed. Service tech was helpful and wanted to fix it for me, but the service writer wanted to go home. So no help. Had to plug it myself in the rain, only took me 15 minutes. My fix got me home, but I need a patch and possibly a new tire. Mavis tire will never get my business again, or my familys business, or my friends business, or anyone I know. They were willing to leave me stranded in their parking lot, and that is customer no-service that I have never experienced in my life! The irony is Im a tire distributor and Mavis is one of my customers...

Went in and had 2 new tires mounted and balanced on the front and it took only about a hour or less, good people and prices.

I like the all the stuff, they are polite and nice and did a good job with my car.

We were travelling on a long road trip and we got a flat tire on a terrible rainy day and we didnt know where to go. When a gas station attendant told us a Mavis was 3 blocks away we were overjoyed. They had us in and out in 75 minutes and even stocked a rare high performance tire. SO HAPPY.

Ordered tires a week ahead. Made an appointment to have them put on. Arrived 30 minutes early for my appointment. It took them over 1.5 hours to put 4 tires on my car AND THEY PUT THE WRONG FREAKING TIRES ON MY VAN!They have had to reorder my original tire and now I have to find time to go back to have the hopefully correct tires on my vehicle.

Called this morning around 8:05 am to ask questions about a single tire repair (nail); specifically if service was possible as I had discovered via the website that the store hours were until 6:00 pm today. I also specifically relayed that my wife, whose car was in need of the service, worked until 4:45 pm at the hospital literally more than a mile, but less than 2 miles, from the 1609 Fairlane Drive location. I was happy to inform my wife that the guy I spoke to scheduled an appointment for her at 4:45 - 5:00 pm with order number 17385. Sadly, when my wife arrived at approximately 4:55 pm she was met by a female associate who informed her that service was out of the question today. The wife was given all sorts of excuses from ...they were understaffed, she had no idea why anyone would permit her to schedule an appointment at that time, to ...all of the staff was scheduled to be off today at 4:00 pm. Mavis offered to put air in her tire and send her on her way with an opportunity to drop off her car tomorrow morning. My wife questioned why someone couldnt have called earlier to let her know the situation so we could have made alternative plans. Nonetheless, Mavis didnt get our business. Wal-Mart, however, in Lexington, SC on Hwy 378 came through, as they always do, with flying colors. We got there around 5:30 pm and they had us all set to go by 7:00 pm. I have most all of the regular vehicle maintenance performed at this location and the only reason I strayed away today was a matter of convenience for my wife (hospital +Mavis+1 mile apart...). I do miss Franks. Thanks for reminding me why when the big fish eat up the small fish, whats left sucks! Wont be back!

I first chose this Mavis because they had the price matching tool online. It saved me $10-15 per tire. I got a call from a NY number and he put in order and set me up for an appointment a week away saying it should take 30 minutes.I arrived and was told no appointment existed but they would get me out as soon as possible. 50 minutes later they tell me they only received 1 tire so I would need to come back once they ordered the other one.5 days later of driving lopsided I call to set an appointment and they say it would take 20-25 minutes tops. I arrived and after waiting 30 minutes without my car being taken back, I just ask for the tires and leave.Everyone was kind and courteous, just not very friendly for those working regular work hours. Should have just gone with the locally owned shop.

My father recommend this place while I was in town. I have never had such great service or been treated so nice. I needed a new set of tires so I actually waited until I came down to visit just to buy from them! Great prices and cant beat the service!

I was surprised that Franks Tire has evidently been bought out by Mavis Tire. I had an excellent relationship with Franks Tire (especially Jim, the service manager) and serviced all four of my vehicles there. I am hoping that the level of service and personal concern that I have experienced before will continue with the new owners.

They used to have good prices on tires before they switched owners. Now, not so much. After new tires, I had consistent problems with vibration. There was NO desire to find the problem. In the end, after 5+ visits, 1. treated me with ill-mannered disrespect during each visit, 2. blamed the problem on the vehicle manufacturer, 3. crossthreaded 3 wheel studs to the point that they broke, 4. refused to drive the truck to assist in diagnosing the problem (they finally gave in after I wouldnt accept no for an answer), 5. they finally swapped tires for me at my cost.It might be a good place if you dont ever have any issues with your car. If you have any issues, good luck getting is resolved. I will not even be taking advantage of free rotation. I would rather pay someone else than have them touch my vehicle again. Avoid this establishment.

I have used Franks for a few years now and theyve always treated me and my wife fair. Honest and upfront with their pricing and services (a rarity these days) and the jobs done are always top notch. True professionals that wont steer you in the wrong direction (had to do it).

Competitive pricing, timely service and proper installation were delivered.

Multiple issues over the years, not sure why Ive continued to patronize other than Im a creature of habit. Free tire rotation and balancing doesnt compensate for having to make return trips and wait time. Issues examples: vibration after rotation and balance about every other service; left cap off oil change and forced me to take to a mechanic to diagnose the problem - that it was missing the cap which they ended up finding ... Did not have these problems till the last few years. Time for me to change where I get my tires and work done.

I have used Franks a few times now. They are just a little more than Wal-Mart in price but the service and warranty are easily worth it. They have patched flats and replaced valve stems for me without question or hassle. I highly recommend them.
