Since online orders started, there are no carts available. navigation around all the loaded carts is annoying. Plus now all the holiday cardboard displays are in the way. They need to fix this.

Today was a good day to buy a floor. The service was excellent; I did not have to wait or hunt for a salesperson. A quick in and out.

Home Depot in West Hartford refuses to up hold the local mask mandate. So if you are looking for a safe place to shop per Home Depot management you should take your business elsewhere.

Went for a clothes drying rack. Ask store worker where it might be located; he didnt know. Although, in his defense, he tried to be as helpful as possible by asking another coworker for the information. No one knew where it might be located. Asked another store worker and he said that they havent stocked those for years, even though their website says they carry the item. Shame on you Home Depot. I expected more than what I experienced.

I want to thank new store manager Trevor, the assistant store manager Rashaad, and the door department manager Joe for helping me to feel better about my shopping experience at Home Depot West Hartford. I was very frustrated and was about to leave that store when I saw Trevor and I explained how I was feeling. He and the team he was with immediately gave me the help that I needed. Joe’s expertise made it very easy for me to make up my mind on the door I wanted. This team should be commended for jumping into action to ensure that I left the store with an excellent customer service experience. Kudos to the West Hartford Team!

Asked at the store the best way to make a purchase to be picked up by another person and be sure that the inventory was there upon pick up. This was necessary because of the size of the item I needed to be picked up in the truck by another person. I was assured that if I paid and did a will call order it would be pulled from inventory after I paid. On pick up day they couldn’t find it. I had to find it at another store and go back to West Hartford to get refunded because their computers can’t talk to each other. The West Hartford location told me they could see in the computer the order was never polled after I paid for it. I was assured that it would be. If I could give zero stars I would. Avoid this location. At the other location in Bloomfield Teresa facilitated a phone order. I paid on the phone and left the pick up person’s name. A little over an hour later it was picked up and he was in and out in less than five minutes. Teresa is an asset to the Bloomfield store!

The help here is diminishing. I tried to find someone to answer a few questions and 1st, hard to find someone in a particular department. 2nd, all I got was the runaround. I was told the expert would be in, in the afternoon...

Customer service staff at this HD is terrible. Ask for help to locate an item and they will just send you on a wild goose chase all over the store.Asked 4 people for an item that had over 50 in stock yesterday and all they would do is bark then point to the opposite side of the store. I went to the service desk and ask for help, and I got a major attitude from the little lady behind the counter. Why are you letting the inmates run the prison Home Depot? Just close this store. Inventorys are never right, store is messy and nothing is in the right place and most of all, the staff could care less. Never going back to this dump.

My product arrived (online order) no problem. Getting help to put in my car -- waited over 20 minutes....

Great experience in both the lumber and hardware departments. The employees were so helpful and even cut the 2x4s and plywood I was buying to my exact project size so I would not need to do that (and the plywood would fit in my car). I went in the evening and the store was reasonably quiet and felt safe with not too many shoppers. Thanks for the great service!

Usually I have an awesome experience in this store but today was not the case. Came in to buy an expensive table saw. Checked online to see if it was in stock and there were four in stock. When we got there the box that was on the sales floor was damaged. A hole in the box with the merchandise clearly out of the foam that it was packed in. I sent my husband to find an associate to see if they can drop another box that was good. Out of no where a horrible lady who worked there yelled at us that she was giving us a discount that the product was good. Neither my husband nor I was looking for a discount. All we wanted was a properly sealed box because with our luck a piece would be missing and for the price we were paying it wasnt going to be a small purchase. Another man came and helped us but she made it clear that she wasnt going to help and we had to wait until another employee got back from lunch. I was very upset that she treated us this way but Thankful for the two guys that helped us.

Its a total toss-up. One time I walked in, asked for a very complicated and specific set of things, and the first employee I talked to knew exactly where these things were. On top of that, he had solid advice as to which products were right for the job, and took the time to figure out exactly what I was asking for in order to best help me.Yet, Ive also asked for help finding the most mundane, common items, and been given minimal help with minimal competency. If I could change my rating from a 1 to a 5 every other day, I would. But since thats not a practical option, Im gonna stick with a 3.

Good place to shop for homes. Also + for having a van and truck rental to get material where you need it. I wonder what next they will be involved in ? Insurance ! Home that is.

Home Depot in Bristol is great, very clean, organized and the staff is very helpfull, highly recommend this place.

Terrible service. I ordered a fridge, dishwasher and kitchen hutch. Every single item arrived damaged. Home Depot provided no assistance or help with the damaged items. The delivery men also forged my signature saying everything was properly delivered. I didn’t sign anything. They also took my old fridge when I asked them to move it to the garage. But they just put it in their truck and drove away.I’ve never been so appalled with a company’s service. I will never shop here again. I recommend no one does unless you want damaged items and poor service and your signature forged. I wish I could give zero stars.

More than anything I love the staff at this home depot. Especially Steve who was so helpful to me in the outdoor garden section today. The individual at the checkout was also very kind in the garden section. Apparently the garden section is the place to be these days!

I went there to purchase some supplies to re-do the flooring in my house a couple days ago and could not find a specific item...I asked not one...not two or three...but FOUR employees for help, and was told this wasnt thier department and they claimed they were going to get help for me-- but help never arrived!! I legit stood there for 20 mins before eventually finding the item myself!! What ever happened to the days that an employee would actually STAY and try to help?? Or stay with you until they FIND someone from that department...I am soooo tired of hearing this is not my department!! So very disappointed.

I liked this Home Depot better than most. Idk if it was because I actually found what I needed... or because they seemed to have a better selection of things... But what I do know is one of the employees who was stocking Christmas lights was very helpful and kind. You could tell this young woman actually wanted to help and was kind enough to check in with me every time she saw me. I was looking for candy canes and since they were restocking lights she suggested I check back while I continued shopping since the website said they had some. The moment they came out from the back she jumped right on it and opened the box right the way! My mom also had a great experience with another employee, who addressed her in Spanish, which was what we were speaking, and they had a nice conversation about the plants my mom was buying! My mom also thought that they had a better selection of plants there than the one we usually go to.

The two hefty women at customer service on 3/20/21 have a serious attitude problem and definitely do not want to be at work today. They’re holding each other’s hand while working one customer at a time as well and it doesn’t appear to be a training exercise either. My online order took over five hours to pull and when I get here there are literally 4 employees standing around wasting time walking in circles. Where is the sense of urgency?

I just want to say how appreciative I am of Rishaud! He listened to my problem and went above and beyond to solve the problem for me. I normally do not write reviews but, I had to say thank you and I think this gentleman deserves recognition for his customer service skills. He looked in to the issue, called me back in a timely manner, apologized, and was very helpful! I was about to stop going to Home Depot because I have had some very poor experiences these last few months but due to the customer service experience I just had and his diligence. I will stay loyal to Home Depot! Thanks again!

I rent a box truck here yesterday they told it had 3/4 gas tank and actually had like 1/4 they dont check the truck went bring them back they just ask and take youre word for it and forgot to look at the gas level before I left the store sadly . I am a honest person and I fill it up to the 3/4. I never rent in this store again

Cashiers must learn customer service etiquette to provide quality service at this location. It is not the customers fault if you dislike your job so much. Hiring Managers definitely need to pick and choose better. Will go to a better location next time around.

I shop here a lot. I was debating 3 stars but gave them 4 stars because there is almost never a line at checkout despite the store being busy all the time, and the online pickups are executed quickly. Considered docking a second star because things are out of home from the app more than they should be, and things are out of stock at this store more than they are at the bloomfield and manchester stores, but overall I think they do a good job. I love home depot, thank you for the reasonable prices.

Well everytime I go to this store I have to find people to ask question. Today another customer was helping me out instead of a member of home depot. I was annoyed because everytime I go there it seems like home depot workers dont know anything. I will never go to that one ever again.

I chose to make my purchase online (4 garage storage shelves) and tried to use curbside pick up because I have family members that are immune-compromised.My experience online was fine and I received a notice that my order was ready for pick up the next day. At 9 am I arrived at the curb side pick up area. No one was around. The person at the door told me Id have to go to customer service to get my order. I called the store and confirmed via the automated system that my order was ready for pick up. After waiting over 12 minutes for someone in customer service to pick up the phone, I was informed there was no record of my order. I said that I had just confirmed my order was waiting, I was at curbside pick up, and the staff hung up on me.I had to go into the store, they found my order, then acted like I was asking for something unusual when I asked for help putting the order in my car.I bought the rest of the things I needed at Lowes. Compare this experience to Lowes: Lowes people in customer service picked up the phone quickly, confirmed my order, brought my order out, put it in my car and wished me good health. I will NEVER shop at this Home Depot store again.

I’ve been on the phone for a hour with this store. They couldn’t find the item I was looking for so they kept bouncing me around to different departments. I actually counted; I got transferred 10 times before I got put on hold one last time and the phone disconnected itself. This is truly poor service from this location. I shop here regularly and this is the first time this location has put a sour taste in my mouth. They need to do better with finding items and relaying the information to the customer. There is absolutely no reason that I got transferred that many times and still not find what I’m looking for... it’s like no one wanted to help me they just want to pass me around till I got of waiting. I thought the goal was to bring business in and make people buy not the compete opposite!!

Its hard not to love Home Depot. Their app takes you aisle by aisle and finds everything you are looking for. Great store for homeowners.

Popular common items in the electrical dept tend to be out of stock. Look around because it may just be out of place. Product is often mixed so check each item. Help is hard to find and is typically useless anyways.

Tried buying some potting soil today. Tried ringing it up at self checkout wouldn’t work. Cashier tried multiple times to call garden. Finally people come over and take it and after a great minutes a guy comes and says we can’t sell it. It’s not in the system Didn’t Try to further help at all or get me a different product. Felt as if I was troubling him. Don’t have a whole entire pallet or something out that you can’t sell. Very disappointed in this trip to Home Depot

This is exactly what you would expect from a big box store. Except, Im always pleasantly surprised when I ask any employee where to find something, they know. And they are always willing to help. Its pretty impressive. I also appreciate that I know how safe every employee is.

I went here after the Enfield Ct Home depot made my key incorrectly. Not only was the female at the customer service desk nice but she even called the young gentleman who made the keys prior before I arrived at the key making station so that I can be handled quickly. The gentleman at the key making station was super nice and assured me that hed make my keys correctly. Not only was I taken care of but I was taken care of with care and professionalism. Kudos to the staff that was working. Nice personalities and very knowledgeable staff and to add the tiara on the princess my key worked as promised . I reccomend you visit this store and let the staff handle the rest. Kudos to the West Hartford Home Depot
