Dont get me wrong. Big Y is a great grocery store. The only reason I give them three stars is because living on a subsidized income if you will I do believe the store is a little on the pricey side compared to others such as Stop and Shop and whatnot in the area. In terms of cleanliness and quality and other categories it is fabulous but again the DAmores have not considered those of us on Social Security, GTA, unemployment, Etc into consideration when they put prices on their products.

Always find fresh beautiful flowers for my mama. They are priced very affordable.Got 20 gorgeous roses and babies breath for $15.

Went in to grab a few things. Store was clean, well stocked and good prices. Every employee I interacted with were friendly and helpful.

Store seems to be slipping. Customer service is poor. Lines are always long. Management doesnt react to inclement weather with more staff when shoppers increase. Cashiers and customer service dont know prices within the store. They seem to not care or are clueless. Its unfortunate because Ive been a shopper in the West Springfield location for over 20 years. I live locally but going forward will be doing my shopping at shop rite in Enfield. Id advise they improve before many other customers get the same idea. Good luck

Everytime, I come here, they have a great Flower selection. The different selections they have are incredible. Great Floral shop.

It could use a little work on the 15 or less isle. Especially when your in a rush to get what you need and go.

I had an encounter of being followed throughout the store by a person who well known for stalking me in public, and had informed one of the staff. She was shocked but aware it wasn’t a joke and took into action and without noticing at first, as I was leaving to my car the group of staff followed me on my way to my car to make sure I was safe. That was greatest feeling of security I could’ve ever felt. Really appreciated their effort to make me feel safe. They took zero tolerance. Thanks again for helping!

For the first time ever I had a problem with a deli clerk today (on a holiday of course). First, I asked for half pound of German potato salad...she stuffed it up to 3/4 pound. She was ready to put it back in the bowl it came from but my husband and I told her no because we feel it was unsanitary! He took it at 3/4 pounds. Next, I asked if the Asian Noodle Salad was sweet in taste like Chinese lo mein, and she said yes, so (trusting her) I asked for a half pound. She also tried charging me $1 more than the listed price in the case. When I went to eat it, I discovered it was not like lo mein but quite spicy. I have digestive problems in which spicy foods make me very sick. My solution/suggestion? I will never go to this location on a holiday again...all new faces throughout the store that looked like they had no clue about anything! And at the deli, spicy food should have some kind of warning just as foods that are allergens for some!

I am bagging my own groceries.as quickly as possible. Why is the front assistant manager telling me I am holding up the line. Does this store not allow customers to bag their own groceries.

The last 4 weeks each time I go theres someone outside to sanitize carts but instead is just texting or leaning on the wall. Its obvious theyre not cleaning carts because theyre all filled with receipts and trash in the sanitized cart area. I take my own sanitizer to clean carts before use

The workers moved quickly to serve the customers in a safe and orderly way. No long waiting. People were social distancing and wearing masks. Cant say enough of professionlism.

I did not go inside the store. I waited for a friend in the parking lot. The parking lot was clean & I did not see any baskets rolling around which tells me someone is doing their job.

Great store to shop although all of the seniors discounts were removed. At this time they are needed more. Store is clean. Managers are not pleasant and do not feel the need to communicate with the customers. They actually avoid poke which is so totally the opposite. The manager did not wear amask

The store is just not for me..it use to be my favorite one but the last time I went I felt like I was below there standards.

Big Y...West Springfield branch...well kept supermarket, prices comparation reflected in the quality, items placed in a different way..if you are used to shop someplace else, be prepare to spend more time shopping, cashiers helpful, line moves normally, this branch kind of busy.Parking lots parking classification, where to park signs... confusing, not friendly.

Very deceptive IMO. how they put in GIANT letters SALE!!!Then you need a magnifying glass and a mechanics creeper to get low enough to read the fine print, THEN you have to read exactally how many oz., qts., liters, with sugar, or with Sweet n Low (in tiny print), THEN you havevto read the container!!The fine print is literally LESS than one foot from the ground and Im handicapped!!! Not even a athlete could bend that far to read it!!BTW. my vision is 20/20!!!So many times I get home to find nothing I bought was on sale thanks to your tiny finebprint!!Want to see my xrays and handicapped parking tag say the word, Ill be happy to post either or both!!!Theres no good reason to do this and Ive complained before.Im also going to take an educated and conservative guess (judging from you parking lot) around 5% of your clientele ARE handicapped!! ♿I asked before, please change this. 🙏

The biggest World Class Big Y around.

I still Love Big Y but Ill just stick with South Hadley Big Y. The cashier was very rude and made uncomfortable conversation with another employee. The cashiers name tag said Vanessa. I thought by telling the manager would help..What a Huge mistake the manager was just as rude as that cashier..I still love Big Y but wont go back to this location. Even a bad experience at the food service...disappointing.

This Big Y in West Springfield is clean and well organized. Usually can find most products, including paper products, but no disinfecting spray or wipes. All protocols seemed to be in place.

The store is clean and well stocked most of the time. Most departments run very smoothly. They continue to struggle with the front end. The EFT systems are antiquated. Bring your plastic card with you. Now that they charge for paper bags, which I completely dont mind paying for, the whole system slows and breaks down when they ask how many bags. I dont know how many I need. Please just bag the items and complete the transaction after. Please do something to speed up checkout and make bagging items not feel like Im buying a new car and need to negotiate a deal.

Always have such wonderful experiences at the Westspringfield Big y. Most employees are sweethearts and truly seem to care about their customer service. Prices are a steal and all product is fresh to perfection. Every time I go in I see a young lady by the name Serena working and she always helps out everyone! Serena greets all with a big smile and knows how to provide 100% great customer service and wows me at all my visits. She truly is a hard worker and deserves the credit! Jamie the manager there is a sweetheart as well.

Make sure youre signed up for and using the Silver Savings Card. I recently saved 30% off my total.The bakery is *phenomenal.* In addition to delicious and gorgeous deserts of all kind, those creations you feel awkward eating because theyre too beautiful, they make a variety of huge, New York-style bagels that out-rival any Brueggers.On-site food includes a complete salad bar, delicious soups, delectable pizzas, fish plates, including sushi. Theres also an area where you can sit to enjoy your food.Buy your coffee at Big Y, even if you shop elsewhere for groceries. They offer an impressive range. Youll find classic and specialty coffee brands. There are always at least two amazing deals.The floral section is definitely not that of your average supermarket. The people working here are knowledgeable about plant care and arrange grand bouquets.Big Y has a good vibe. The employees are super nice.

Thank you Big Y! When I visit my elderly mother in Agawam I make several visits to Big Y. You have to buy or bring your own bags now but I bought one and used it during my visit. I enjoyed the hot food bar, incl. pizza, bbq chicken, Mac and cheese, as well as prepared sandwiches. A great find this trip was a special on fall flower bouquets which lasted all week and 2 were perfect for the containers at the Mass Veterans Cemetery in Agawam. Helpful customer service. Good variety of products. I recommend the West Springfield Big Y!!

Good sales clean store but there deli Department doesnt carry many name brand cold cuts. Bags should be free.

The store was clean. I explained what I was looking for to 2 employees and I was sent to the wrong aisle. I told the cashier and the bagger that they made my bags too heavy. They asked to fix then but I said forget it. I dont usually shop much there and it made my shopping a little more difficult. Sorry but I had to speak the truth about my experience. It wont however make me not go back. Thank you.

1st time at Big Y as I am new to the West Springfield, Massachusetts area. I would like to say that the place was very clean and well stocked. The staff that I had contact with from the customer service counter to the cashier and bagger were all super friendly. Pricing was inline with competitors as far as I could tell. Good job! Keep it up!

If I could give this place 0 Stars I would. They wont give you the sale prices unless you fill out a rewards card. And they cant process the applications at the register. You have to go to the customer service desk. The prices are higher than the Whole Foods near my house. Why anybody would shop in the store is beyond me. #bigYfail

Law suit waiting to happen. Im sorry the rest of my review didnt go through and the pictures that I posted arent even here I tried for two days and something kept happening. The reason is I got some of your homemade chicken soup which was really good. The problem with it is that why was eating it there was a few bones in it about 1 and 1/2 inches long thats how I knew it was chicken pulled off the bone it was one of the bones from a drumstick and it should be more careful if that was my son eating it I wouldnt be happy at all with you luckily I got the bones. I did take pictures of the bones and tried to post them but after a couple days of not being successful I gave up and deleted the pictures
