Extremely unprofessional business. Called to make an appointment and apparently they forgot appointment. Got an oil change done here years ago and they stripped the drain plug. Didn’t hold that against them went to get a safety inspection here and they gave me the run around. Bottom line if you want your car worked on professionally don’t go here!!!

Had been going to this shop since I moved to this part of the state seven years ago. Was always satisfied with their service, until recently. Brought my vehicle in two weeks ago for an oil change and tire rotation. A courtesy inspection noted that the front brakes and rotors were due for replacment. The inspection sheet they always provide me a copy of said no other maintenance was needed. Brought my vehicle to an independent garage just down the road from my job to have the front brakes done while I was at work. The mechanic there told me I needed new tie-rods, included photos of the old ones as proof, and said he could order the new parts to install the next day. Two days after having the tie-rods put in I started hearing noise coming from the rear brakes, which the Midas inspection sheet said were okay. Checking with a flashlight and mirror confirmed that more than one brake pad was worn down to bare metal and in serious need of replacement. This is the second time in less than a year Midas has overlooked a maintenance item(s) that ended up costing me hundreds soon after. Wont be going back there again.

Although I was a bit upset the last time I was in, due to a necessary delay in my car being inspected, overall my experience at Midas was great. The team there are quick and kind. Will be continuing to go there for car servicing needs.

I went in for inspection and they failed my car reporting there were three major issues with my vehicle. I picked up my car and brought it to my mechanic and found none of those things were in need of repair. Very disappointed that they tried to take advantage of of me.

Very fast and the prices are fair. Allows use of waiting room which is now limited to only four socially distanced chairs. Everything nice and clean. Picnic table outside is also available for waiting customers.

Very nice people here. I meet a someone who was owner or manager i believe very nice there was a girl in the office and a tech they where very helpful. I am not from the area but I had a tire emergency and they tried to help me as best they could.

I made an appointment for oil change and told them, I wanted something else done and they said to remind them when I came in. I reminded them when I brought my vehicle in and when I was told everything was good and my vehicle was out front. I started to drive and knew the other service I asked for and reminded them of, was not done. This happened multiple times now, so I will go somewhere else to get my vehicle serviced.

The team at Midas in Westerly was excellent today. I make an appointment on-line for low pressure on a tire and they got me in same day. They inspected the tire and found it conforming so they added some air - all at no charge. Ill definitely be back after this great customer service.

I came here because I was having an issue with a tire (radial pull) and wanted my alignment done so I could rule that out before I dealt with a replacement or other repair.I forgot the name of the head tech who helped me but he walked me through every spec of my car, including the degree reported by the steering wheel. It turns out I did have a radial pull, and having the paperwork helped me get it straightened out.Ill be back for alignments and rotations at the minimum. I was impressed by the level of service overall, and the care given even though I came in with an odd problem / request.Thanks guys, good work.

My wife just left there. He quoted $225 for water a pump and told her she needed a water pump and maybe a thermostat and went on to say, she needed a serpentine belt. She went to another garage that said the water pump was fine but needed a thermostat. Heres the kicker... she just had the serpentine belt replaced 7 weeks ago. AND GUESS WHERE IT WAS DONE? MIDAS! They must try to remember who they are lying to. This wasnt the first time. Wife had slow leak in tire. They fixed it. She was stranded with a flat on 95 near Mystic. Their response. Well, tire repair is not guaranteed! No apology, no nothing. NO MORE MIDAS!

My 24 year old daughter takes her car to your shop for a front end noise.They tell her the transmission is bad and you need a new one for around $2500.00. She calls me in tears and describes the noise. It sounds like a worn trans axle. Get the car out of there. She takes it to a reputable garage and guess what, worn trans axle. $175.00 later shes fixed and on her way. So either the tech has no idea what hes doing or you like to take advantage of young single woman. My guess is the latter. She wont be returning to your shop. Ever! Ill be sure to tell this story to everyone I know too. Maybe you should stick to exhaust repair.

Have to disagree with the negative posts here. Ive been to going to this Midas for two years now and not only do they treat you with genuine respect, they NEVER try to cheat you into spending more money than you need to. Very professional, highly recommended.

Busted my car in a puddle during the big storms, Mark was great and fit me in for an appointment that day! Cassandra was great as well.

Called ahead and asked if they knew how to do an alignment on a specific Audi Yeah, it should be no problem. I scheduled an appointment and brought my car in. I should have known something was fishy when I was never given a print out of the alignment specs, plus my car still pulled /tracked poorly. Went to another shop and they said all suspension components were fine, but the car still tracked poorly. I assured them, I had just gotten an alignment, that couldnt be the problem. After wearing unevenly through a set of tires, I called and talked to the people at the local Audi dealership. They stated that on most Audis for a complete alignment the subframe/cradle actually needs to be aligned.... Im not sure if its ignorance on Midas end, or they knew and just wanted the business. Ive been warned by many others not to trust Midas, but I guess its something you have to see first hand to believe. After wearing through a set of $500 tires, paying for the Midas alignment, then an actual alignment ($130 well spent on people that know what theyre doing), Id say I learned my lesson. DONT take your car here if its foreign or semi-complex, but I guess if its a basic American made car they MIGHT be able to work on it. Overall Im severely disappointed with the quality of their work and will not be going there again. Also I will be recommending friends and family to do the same

Got an oil change at Midas and they never put the clips back on for the plastic piece underneath the front bumper. I recommend if you have to get an oil change there make sure they put the clips back on after they do their lazy mans oil change.

I have to disagree with all of the positive comments. My experience with Midas was horrible. I took my car in for diagnostics of a check engine light. The result was the engine balance shaft had to be replaced. I dropped my car off with Midas on July 13, 2014. I had to keep calling them once a week for a status report because they never bothered to call me. Most of the wait time was for parts. I finally was able to pick my car up on August 23, 2014 (a month and a half later). I had to take the car back a week later because there was severe oil leaks coming from the engine. (Note: my car was not leaking oil before they worked on it). It was said that the head gasket needed replacing and they felt the leaks was not caused from the recent work done on the engine. So an agreement was made to change the head gasket for free. I picked the car back up a week and a half later. Now I have an alternator/battery check light, no power steering, and oil is still leaking from the engine. I took it to a different mechanic and he said the alternator needed replacing, the wrong type of power steering fluid was used, and the head gasket was never replaced. So the $4700 I spent on the original work from Midas is now costing me another $1000 plus. I have contacted customer service with a complaint to no avail. If you dont want any more problems with your car than you already have, I STRONGLY advise you to NOT take it to Midas. Not even if you have a flat tire. (By the way, this review is the short version).3/16/17 - Update on my situation: I had no other choice but to trade the car in for another one due to the problems Midas cost to my car. They never attempted to rectify my situation and I didnt have the money or time to try to fight them in court. Since Ive gotten my new car I only take my car to the dealership as a result from my experience with Midas. Thanks Midas for the lessons learned.

I had called because the headlight in my VW Beetle keeps turning off when I go over bumps. I called twice about the issue stating it was more than just an issue of replacing a bulb. So I dropped off my car off on Sat. at 10 a.m. as told and went on my way. They called me and said it would be $105 to replace the bulbs that were out. I then restated that the issue was more than just a matter of changing the bulbs. They said they would take a look when they were inside and see. They said if it was a connection issue that it could easily be fixed. So they call me and tell me thay everything is fine when they finished and that no other issue was present. Then I go to Midas to pick up my car and ask for proof of the fix to submit to the DMV. Some guy was called over by the receptionist and then told me that Id have to bring the physical ticket to be stamped. He only then shared the fact with me that there is also a harness issue in my car that also needs to be fixed, which is what I had already told them to begin with. So basically they didnt fix the problem even though they said theyd take a look at it knowing that I needed to go to a service shop to get it fixed. Also when I went to go turn on my car after picking it up the battery was dead because someone left the light on all day... There are cheaper alternatives and better places that I highly recommend you go to before heading here.

Terrible service, took my car in with instructions to get two wires spliced together and they only spliced one and tried to charge extra to go back in and do the other. Half of the staff barely know anything about cars and cant explain properly what the vehicles problem is.

VERY HORRIBLE! NEVER GO PLEASE! or NEVER GO AGAIN PLEASE!I dont remember whether his name is Mike or Mark who picked up my call in this location. I told him I am a new car user filled my tank with wrong gas (diesel) and asked what should I do. He said, oh you need a oil change? Can you drop if off at my place? You know I should not even started my car if I put diesel in it! Then you know how bad my car became. Then this guy tried to trick me with oil or gas I talked on phone, just because Im a foreigner, and he can play the language game with me.They made me wait about 2 hours, which is ok because Im for oil change. Then I talked to my bf and I knew what I should do is drain the diesel in the tank. They knew the situation and they made me wait another 1 hour, then told me sorry you car is not working and cant even be started right now. The attitude is horrible and arrogant when he said, Its not we cant fix it, its whether you want to spend that amount of money (which is $5000). I said no. He said, well you have to have the car toll. And you have to do it today. Otherwise Im going to charge you storage cost. I was irritated by all these things and horrible and arrogant attitude.Well, eventually I ended up getting my car fixed in Acura with less than 1200 dollars. They ordered the toll for me and took care of EVERYTHING with excellent customer service. Such a great comparison between these two places. I really do not recommend future customers to go to Midas in this location. Horrible! Especially if you first language is not english, never go there and let them trick you with english words.

Honestly where do I begin!! pls read this review stay away from Midas for any and all car repairs!! Ill start with were they screwed me over the 1st xI called in to get price check on putting on 2 walmart tires the grl on phone said give me a moment ill check the price came back and said $20.00 total 4 2 tires I told her I would be there in 5 mins because I knew walmart was about same price but a further drive. I arrived Iet her know I had just taled to her on the phone about getting my 2 tires put on she got my info and took my keys then when my car was done she tells me alright thatll be $50.00 I was aggrivated but im not one for arguing my bf however questioned why we were told $20.00 she said she made a mistake then I paid $50.00 because what else was I going to do and went home and put a bad review on their site which by the way never got posted however I was contacted back by a Mark? The manager which I still have vm and again by the front counter clerk asking me to call in so they could refund me my $30.00 which I thought was very excellent of them to offer however I dont want to call for money back that I never should have been charged in the first place im not the type of person to even complain but I feel that midas is an exception because they have terrible service and are scam artists. Anyways I dont see why if they knew they owed me that refund they wouldnt mail it to me in the form of a check they have all my information on file and why inconvenience me again for something they were at fault for, because they probably where hoping I wouldnt call back for refund but that the attempt alone would keep me from posting the truth about their company
