The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. I tried the smoked salmon avocado toast, the bread was incredible. I also ordered the pumpkin spice latte, I saw them put actual pumpkin puree into it, best PSL Ive ever had! The food is made from scratch. I cant wait to go back.

Waited a good amount of time for my take out. Just one dish. Thats not a problem for me for a busy restaurant I generally enjoy. But the portion size was so tiny! I probably have to stop somewhere else for second breakfast.

I finally got to try this place with a friend, and it was delicious! I had the Keto bowl and my friend had the Huevos Rancheros. Food was very tasty and the sitting environment was delightful. Customer service was excellent! The manager, Grant, was very attentive to customer’s needs and made sure everything was taken care of. Excellent customer service and I would definitely come back again!!

I got the Nashville hot honey fried chicken sandwich and a latte. Both were fantastic! Friendly staff as well.

The Royal Egg Cafe will be on the top of your breakfast list quickly!! We’ve gone two days in a row and we couldn’t be happier. Yesterday I had the breakfast burrito and today I had the crispy pork belly / egg sandwich, delicious. The Mexican Hot Chocolate was the best I’ve ever had, especially after adding a double shot of espresso.

Good food but if you are in a rush, this is for sure not the place to eat. Ordered at 8am on the dot, came at the time they told me which was 8:40 for two breakfast burritos, and STILL wasn’t done at 8:50, ridiculous. The food is not THAT good to have to wait that long for it. Not to mention they didn’t put the sauces in. Really need to figure their business out.

My favorite breakfast place! The food is healthy, fulfilling, and delicious. My favorites are lemon ricotta pancakes, a keto bowl, and a lavender latte. I hope you guys expand, because the place is small and its always hard to find a table. Thank you for this wonderful spot!

I found this place on accident. I was visiting the area for spring break after a crazy year. I came in here on a Sunday morning, ordered the salmon advocado toast with two poached eggs, and a real cup of coffee. It was seriously, the prettiest plate of food I’ve ever seen. The staff was super sweet and welcoming. I didn’t feel I needed to get a to go order. The crowd here is seriously unlike anywhere else in the area: just unpretentious but also achieving that by being themselves. It was a great brunch! Thanks!

Amazing!! We stopped by while visiting the area and were very impressed by the food and customer service. The hostess/cashier was very friendly and answered all of our questions to make sure we avoided milk products. She checked with the chef to be sure. I waited outside for the carry out order and a couple of team members checked up on it for me, without being asked. It does take a bit, but it’s well worth the wait because it is so fresh! The açaí bowl is absolutely fantastic! We also enjoyed everything in the Patriot! We will definitely be back!

Wow I loved this place! The restaurant is located it a small strip center with the anchor store being TJMaxx. Today parking was bad however it is the weekend before Christmas and I RH ink a lot of people came to shop.The restaurant offers inside or outside dining and is very cozy inside. I ordered the quinoa with eggs and my daughter ordered the avocado toast. I also ordered a pastry and coffee.For the coffee, eh it was just ok...the pastry was delightful, flaky and not overly sweet. The avocado toast was on a multigrain bread and was delicious. The quinoa cake and egg dish was lovely, however I think the quinoa should have been on the grill a few more minutes.I would recommend this place for a lovely breakfast delight.

Went here after seeing the menu, which is relatively exciting for Westlake Village. Initial impression: breakfast basics with high-quality ingredients at borderline outrageous prices ($15 for a breakfast sandwich with 2 slices of bacon and $7 for a taco with maybe .1 oz of wagyu?) The taco was good (especially the tortilla), but there was basically no meat. There was so much oil from the chimichurri that about a 1/4 cup spilled out from each taco. Both items were extremely greasy. The sandwich was good, but the bottom slice of bread was terribly soggy. The sandwich was huge, but there was barely any bacon. The specialty coffees were the only items that I considered good value, since the standard size was 16oz. Too bad the coffee didnt come out until after we finished our meals. This place should be table service if they cant manage the order flow. $42 for a sandwich, 2 tacos, and 2 coffees should spark outrage, but people still come in here for their avo toast. All that said, this is a decent breakfast for Westlake Village.

The food is incredible, definitely worth the hype, but I want to point out the customer service of the employees who work there. Anyone working in the service industry (in general) but especially in a Covid world, ESPECIALLY in the valley, is braver than the marines. I was late picking up my order but everyone was super friendly and made my latte perfectly. Just as I was leaving I heard a middle aged white lady complaining about having to wait for her food (pedantically, and with no mask on). If the staff ever sees this review, I hope you dont allow these kind of people to ruin your day (their lives are miserable!) I will absolutely be back, if not for the quality food, then for the excellent staff.

Loved this cute cafe for brunch! The food was delicious (I had biscuits & gravy and my wife had an egg breakfast sandwich), the service was friendly, and the patio had a nice vibe. Will be back for sure.

Never got to try the food. The owner was so rude that we left before we got it. Way over priced. Breakfast for 3 was $100. Went down the street to Jinkys Kanan Cafe and had a great breakfast with great service for half the price. I would never go back to the Royal pain in the egg!!

Weve been here twice now and each time is very impressive! To eat, Ive gotten the soy chorizo dish and also the egg white wrap. Both were severed hot to order and full of flavor! I love the menu here and its plant-based, healthy bend. The staff is nice too and there is a nice outdoor section.

After coming here a few times, I keep finding reasons to come back. I like the rustic yet warm elegant food and atmosphere. Today I tried the handcrafted Cheddar Jalapeño Biscuits with eggs and side of shaved fennel arugula salad. It was delicious! Everything that I’ve tried here so far has been really good. A bonus is that it’s locally owned by a cute couple with two small children. I love supporting local business from one mom to another. I highly recommend this place!

Beautiful cafe! The free water was delicious and surprising on my part. (Thats not common in ohio) The coffee was very bold but amazing and delicious and I had ordered the banana pudding cake and they decorated it beautifully with marzipan. When I visit California again, I will definitely try this cafe again!

The first time I tried to get a coffee at The Royal Egg Cafe, the line was well out the door (forget it), but this time round, I got in early (0730am), and was able to order and enjoy my latte without waiting eternity or feeling rushed. The cafe had a wonderful relaxed vibe and the aroma or The Royal Egg Cafe was amazing... my nostrils were in heaven. I love the industrial interior and the setup is very impressive. I had a great latte, and when in Thousand Oaks again, Ill be sure to stop by for another round.

The eggs taste so fresh, the bacon was meaty and the coffe was very good. A bit pricey, but worth it.

Wow. Who knew that this restaurant would so quickly become my go-to breakfast spot. They have great options that are different from your average eggs n things restaurant that Im frankly tired of going to.If you want great service, and great food, you go to Royal Egg. I love a lot of stuff there (which at a breakfast place I really only like one plate) but I recently had their avocado toast with smoked salmon and without a doubt this is the most decadent and tasteful avocado Ive ever had. AND its well worth the penny.If you havent yet, stop going to Eggs n Things and try something that will actually taste good.

I am not a common “reviewer” of restaurants but this place is to good not too! The staff is very polite and helpful and the food is amazing! Love the breakfast burrito and country breakfast sandwich! There are some great breakfast spots in the area but this one is the best by far!

Not following SOCIAL DISTANCING at all: Hi, I have loved eating here pre pandemic 2020 and was excited to see that you guys are doing curbside pickup. It was devastating to see the chaos on Mother’s Day where people waited over 2 hours to get their orders done when it showed it was completed online. I understand the system broke down and no complaints about that but would have appreciated if you guys still tried to tell your customers to maintain social distancing. It is pretty small cafe and had around 15 people stuffed in waiting for their orders? I am waiting outside but feel extremely uncomfortable with everyone not caring to maintain a distance and knowing that my food is being prepared in this super crowded place.Can you assure quality standards are being maintained? I know controlling people is difficult but please at least TRY and advise them to maintain the needed social distancing.It is the restaurants responsibility to make sure their customers feel safe during these unprecedented times within their premises. Or else how do you expect us to return and trust you? This is the least we can expect.Sorry and hope to see things improving.

Ordered 4 breakfast burritos to be picked up at 9:30, came out at 9:45 with the wrong order. Then had to wait another 20 minutes for them to make us our burritos and only came out with 3. Then had to wait ANOTHER 20 MINUTES for them to make our fourth burrito. IN TOTAL waited an HOUR after our pick up time only for 4 burritos.

Ordered a Breakfast Burrito. Absolutely horrible. It tasted like it was barbecued. Caramelized onions, and bacon were so thick with sauce it ruined the flavor. Potatoes were ok but the bbq flavor sauce made them intolerable to eat along with the rest of the burrito. The tortilla was hard as a rock. Sales associate very nice. I will not be going back.

Second time eating here and it was delicious both times. Wonderful, fresh food. First time, I got the biscuits and gravy, second time I got the fried chicken and waffles special. Loved them both. The service is very friendly and quick as well.

Waited forever to get my food. They said there was a mistake in the kitchen. Eventually my breakfast burrito arrived. It was sweet. Yuck! Who wants a sweet breakfast burrito? Not me! I got my money back and left.. boooo

Outstanding breakfast, i just went there for my 1st time today and had a great experience. Their steak and eggs are amazing, I can only imagine what the rest of food would taste like. I highly recommend this place and Im definitely going back again and again and again lol.

Place looked nice so we took the family. No options for kids other than sides. Which was fine but then we had to bus our own table to be able to sit down. Once that was done we were missing items we ordered and the over easy eggs were over cooked. For what you spend its not worth it in my opinion.

Absurdly expensive and they ask for a tip when you order, before youve even gotten your food. Then you have to get your own flatware and napkin because they cant be bothered to lay them out when they clean the tables.Had biscuits and gravy and a side of bacon - decent, but the bacon was cold by the time it got to me and way too thin for the price.Edit:Dear Owner -I know the features of your POS system, you could simply disable the tipping function if you really wanted to - and you should... At least if you are serious about not coercing people for tips and understand why its so gauche to ask for a tip before service has been rendered. After all - part of charging the prices you do means you get to pay your workers a living wage, right?Organic and scratch-made doesnt justify nearly $20 for very basic food, and definitely doesnt account for cold, paper-thin bacon.

Fyi, the plain kids pancake has blueberries in it and the French toast had raw egg in the center.

I want to give this place a higher rating but, Ive only found a few things on the menu worth going back for. The Ricotta pancakes hands down best menu item, and maybe the toast with homemade jam. But its quite costly...for pancakes and toast....so 3 stars
