Great selection of goods in a beautiful store.

This is my hands down absolute favorite supermarket to shop at! Everything is always so fresh! And beautiful looking! 😍 theres always a great smell as soon as you walk in. I can stay here for hours ! I love the ready prepared meals tons of options! I cant even choose which department is better because they are all well kept put together and the employees are always friendly and helpful. Too much? Nope ! ( you have to pick up some white chocolate caramel turtles on your way out! trust me!)

The Fresh Market is a regular part of our grocery shopping routine. We like TFM for its fresh fruits, a great butcher, some wonderful prepared foods, great weekly deals and friendly staff. It does have a limited selection for some staples and house cleaning items, but overall a great place for your grocery needs.

I wanted to speak to your deli department. There is a wonderful selection of items but often the salad I want Is not available. I extension rang 30 times at which point a hung up in frustration and disappointment. This is not the first experience of this nature unfortunately.

This supermarket has reasonable prices and a large selection of items. Theres a lot of stuff here that you wont find in your typical supermarket.

A very nice upscale market with a good variety of products not available in similar markets. A nice selection of produce and pre-made meals. The salads are always fresh, and the staff is friendly and helpful. They offer many items in bulk from coffee to candy to nuts.I wish they had more organic produce, but what they have to offer is very good.

I think your company might need to refresh your cooks on proper food safety and sanitation. I had the pleasure of watching an older gentleman working on the hot/cold food section use his gloved hand to sample what appeared to be chicken salad( which he was portioning for the grab and go case). He sampled the chicken salad by using his fingers as a spoon and shovelled the sample into his mouth. And I hate to say it but, some of what he was self sampling fell back into the large bin of premade chicken salad. It is unfortunate because I did enjoy some of what you offer but now I am completely turned off from any of your offering because I do not trust your food handling practices.

Terrible Service at the Counter where they prepare and serve food!If youre a senior citizen, you are treated as if you are completely invisible! This is not a one time occurrence! However, today was the worst I experienced. I was at their food prep counter at around 11 am (today, Thurs. Aug. 19th) and was clearly seen by someone who was preparing food. He chose to ignore me, as did two others on that shift! Another person, a woman who was not a senior person came up to the counter 15 mins. after I have been standing there waiting and was immediately served! I informed the people behind the counter that Ive been standing there waiting, and they didnt even pay attention to what I said, and gave me the look that I was simply an inconvenience!The store manager ought to look into this continuing pattern, and to those who were on shift the date and time I provided. AND the manager should provide training! It would be good if Fresh Market can acknowledge that the senior citizens of Westport do exist and should NOT be ignored.

This Market is fantastic! They have so much to offer, and yet it feels so much more manageable than the warehouse - sized Whole Foods. The fresh vegetable section was impeccable. The Bakery incredible specialties. The associates were genuinely friendly and helpful. I went there on this day looking for 1 thing- for a Peach Praline Pie I got an advertisement about on Instagram. They were all out- but an extremely kind lady in the Bakery offered to box one for me that was still a little warm!!! She even gave suggestions on how to best let it cool so no condensation would make it soggy. It was pure HEAVEN!! Thank you Fresh Market. I will be back.

Nice enough for some things. Its a shame they dont locally source their meats, eg beef and chicken. They have no idea what farm, or even what country it comes from lol

It’s easy to find what you need but the Deli takes forever to take your orders. Whenever I go there will be 4 worked behind the deli but no one will ask you if you need help. You wait about 10/15 minutes. If you need something from the deli, you shouldn’t go to the fresh market unless you have time to wait around.

Great meat department, excellent cheese selection, fresh sushi, etc. Never had a social distancing issue or face mask in these unusual times.

Store is nice and guys at meat counter are very nice and professional. However, some woman-maybe a manger, was screaming at me about making sure I was 6 feet back from the next person in line. I know we are all stressed at this moment, BUT, while she was yelling and spitting in my face without a mask, maybe she could have handled it better? Is her name Sandy? Whatever, she was completely rude and nasty.

This was my first time being here and I am absolutely obsessed. Some of their stuff is less expensive than a regular grocery store. The staff are super helpful as well! I live in fairfield but will definitely make the drive over here. First time experience was a complete success!! Some of the stuff they sell I’ve never seen anywhere else. If you haven’t checked this out, please do so!

I dont understand it your that under stocked, produce down to bare minimum, why you wouldnt close for the holiday and let your staff either be home or do a well needed cleaning in the deli hot food. Your stoves and machinery is filthy dirty and the nasty greasy dirty pans stacked next to them.

Ive been to the Fresh Market many times. I find the supermarket helpful in trying new items. I love how the produce department has many fresh fruits & vegetables. The bakery have wonderful things displayed. I love the Deli Department, the best. The manager Dave is so helpful. He goes out of his way to help you even when hes busy. He seems to be the all hands man and does everything. I enjoy going to the fresh market, when hes working because I know hes giving me what I ask.

A bit surprised that when I bought crab cakes in seafood area and asked if they had remoulade, the guy behind the counter said he never heard of it. A bit apprehensive to try the cakes I bought. Rest of store had great items.

The deli has some pretty good offerings. Great for one you need a quick lunch but dont want fast food

I like the market, like that their is a decently large spot for bulk goods. I only wish employees understood when I walk in with my own containers and ask for the tare weight most don’t know what I am talking about, or if I have the weight they don’t know how to deduct as the register, I should just end up going to Whole Foods

What a beautiful grocery store. The wonderful people from Mrs. Greens now work here. The Fresh Market is so lucky to have Lorraine, Ty and Brian. The Fresh Market has the most delicious breads in the area. Try that peach raspberry or the blueberry banana.

First time in this market and I was impressed! Excellent selection of produce, meats, bakes and the market itself was super cute! I would have given this market a 5 star review if it wasn’t for the rude guy at the meat counter (short, husky, bearded man). He was extremely rude and had no customer service skills whatsoever. I definitely felt like he didn’t want me there. Anyways, I’ll definitely come back because the female manager that I spoke to was super friendly and went above and beyond to make my visit pleasant. :)

The food and the selection at the Fresh Market is very good. They have a very nice trail mix section with an amazing selection. However, the nutrition facts show the serving size in grams and the containers display their price by the pound, so unless youre skilled / have an app for the conversion, it wont be very meaningful. They also had a surprisingly diverse selection of beer singles, perfect for those who are unwilling to commit to a six pack of a new beer.I wasnt very fond of the service. Of my two visits to the store, both times, I had a line close on me. I would be walking over and an employee would be just finishing with the last customer, and I would go to put my things down and the employee would turn and without a smile or any form of kind gesture say, Im closed. I had one item and there was no one behind me. It almost brings about the question, Am I inconveniencing you by wanting to buy something from this store? You know, I would self checkout myself if there was an option here, as I can see you dont like working a cash register. I would assume Fresh Market believes themselves a step above Stop & Shop, but the employees at Stop & Shop at least would say, Im sorry, this register is closed. No apologies, no smile, solely, Im closed. If management prefers randomly telling customers that a register is closed, they should come up with a better manner of conveying it, to be polite and kind to the people who choose to shop there.When I transferred to another line, the employee ran up my purchase and then just stared at me. I looked down, and then around, and back at him, Whats the price? He motioned to a screen, located off to the left, as if to say, Theres the price, I dont need to tell you. This employee wasnt smiling either.So other than problems with their register employees and their lack of a normally kind personality such as found in other grocery stores, this store is pretty good.UPDATE:Things have gotten better at Fresh Market. The employees at the registers have become more friendly and I have not had a line close on me in a long while. I have even on one or two occasions had my things carried to an open line by an employee. Most of the employees greet me with a smile and some even try to have a little conversation. It is very pleasant. The employees at the center deli area are very friendly and always have a smile. I enjoy coming to Fresh Market each week for fresh fruit for my office. I believe the food selection at Fresh Market is quite good and though I have not bought any, their beer selection is quite diverse. I noticed they started leaving blank six pack cartons to allow customers to buy singles. Things have improved enough for me to bump this review up a star

I thought the prepared food was supposed to be fresh. I got sweet potato salad and the gal scooped a serving from the case. Went to eat it to find it was frozen. I tasted it anyway and it wasnt good. Threw the whole thing out. A few days later, I got half a chicken breast cooked and it was so dry it wasnt pallible. I threw that out too. Bought a lemon cheese pastry there today and it was gummy. Some regular items are 30% markup compared to the exact same brand at Stop n Shop. I expect way more from this store. Its not upscale. Theres a bucket of water with garbage in it, in plain view, under the bathroom sink.

They have fresh bulk raw cashews, pecans, almonds, walnuts at a fair price. Good selection of produce and yogurts. Also convenient location on Post Rd.

My favorite grocery store. They have a great CRM program and also you can get receipts via email. Their specials, particularly on weekends, are varied and valuable.

They have Dukes mayonnaise! I am super happy about that because there is no locations close to me that have that brand. I plan on buying at this location again.

The staff in the store is not helpful at all; either rude or too busy chatting with one another to wait on customers. The main part of the floor space is used by useless junk food.A nice attitude would not hurt a bit.On the phone, they hang up.Good meats and produce.

Misleading. For what they charge, some of their products have inferior ingredients. A lot of bakery items contain high fructose corn syrup and hydrogenated oil. Some of their seafood salads use imitation krab, which is made of wheat - so, not gluten free. Its disappointing.

Good quality food. Much is pricey, but some good deals. Hard to find some non-food items normally in grocery stores.

I LOVE this place. Ive been to several locations and always had an excellent experience and always walked away with something new to try. Ive shopped most recently at the Fresh Market in Westport, CT (I recently moved to CT), but I used to go to the same chain in Bridgwater, NJ and had the same good experience.Have to admit, theyre not the cheapest, but worth it for excellent quality and a darn fine selection of higher end, harder to find foods.Especially love their sushi bar. Its no run of the mill sad little california roll rack. The Fresh Market has the kind of sushi preparation you might find at a restaurant, the fish is perfectly fresh and tasty every time. I especially love that they have inari!! I cant ever find inari anywhere, and both here and at the Fresh Market in Bridgewater, NJ, if I call ahead, they will actually prepare it for me!Cant rave about consistently good service like that enough. Love this place, love their food selection and really love their customer service.
