This S&S is my local store for the last 12 years. The staff are amazing...many of them have been with the company for years.Food quality is very good but can get pricey during the beginning towards mid month. It can also be that currently all pricing seems inflated most every where. Floral, deli, seafood,meat and bakery have a great amount of offerings! Make sure to bring your recyclable bags as only paperbags and for purchase S&S bags which are also SUPER cute.All in all visit this location

I went to two Walmart and two stop&shop the one I went to this morning had what I wanted great location with many places to shop.

This is by far my favorite stop & shop in the area. It was so well stocked and had a lot of the specialty vegan products that I need to buy for my familys particular diet. Prices are still great, its in a convenient spot.

We have been going to this location off and on for about a year now. They do a poor job of removing expired goods from the shelf. We have purchased many expired items by mistake. Things like two-year expired jelly, expired lobster ravioli, and 1.5 month expired smoked salmon to name a few.The expired smoked salmon could have made us very sick, so I actually returned to the store to notify customer service. When I inquired about an exchange, I was told to go back and get a package that was not expired. To my surprise, a week after purchasing the expired salmon, the shelf was still filled with expired salmon. I found a more expensive alternative that was not expired, and customer service would not match the price of the less expensive brand that was originally purchased. I ended up having to pay more money for the inconvenience THEY caused ME. After being ripped off at the register, I felt it was my duty to let a manager know about the expired salmon on the shelf so somebody else wouldn’t get sick. When I told someone, they seemed irritated like I was telling them how to do their job or something (maybe I wouldn’t have to if they’d do it to begin with).Anyways, we now check expiration dates when we visit this location, and we always come across expired items when doing so. Avoid this location at all costs.

My favorite local grocery store

One of the better stop and ahops around. Unlike the hartford one, I never get harassed by homeless people when I walk into the store and walk out... its nice and clean and not a lot of people come here so its a quick in and put every time I go there. Staff is weird and most of them radiate bad vibes and usually feel uncomfortable asking for help here.

Visited the pharmacy, Always have a great shopping experience and now an excellent one with the pharmacy. Everything went well and ill be transferring all my future scripts here.

I went there to get a couple of things for dinner and as i was at self check out a white male literally went over as i was scanning my items and stared me down the whole entire time . I looked at him because i was confused on why he was only watching me and my bf but not everyone else that was there also . He literally waited to stop watching me until i pulled out my card to pay then he proceeded to walk away . Now i haven’t had anything like that happened to me before i was disgusted . It was kinda of obvious on why he would only be looking at me and my bf. So i will never go to this stop n shop ever ! Highly wouldn’t recommend

Stop and Shop in Wethersfield,CT on the Berlin Turnpike hours are Sunday-Saturday 6am-10pm senior hours are Monday-Sunday 6am-7:30am and store hours are 7:30am-10pm.

Really good quality products with excellent service. They bag your groceries as well which is nice. Sometimes prices are a little higher and the coupons dont really work.

Average grocery store, the pharmacy very professional

The store seems clean and there is always a great, fresh selection of food. Definitely take the time to check out the seafood and meat sections for sales because we always find scallops and steaks for a great price. If you are looking for rotisserie chickens they dont always have them ready or they have a very limited flavor selection (honey or lemon instead of regular). Stop and shop brand items are good in quality and cheaper in price so consider checking them out.

For the most part, my experiences at this Stop & Shop is usually very good. There are some staff that are VERY helpful and knowledgeable and there are a few who are CLUELESS as to what customers service is and Im not talking about great customer service, Im talking about customer service in general. Theres a young man in the produce department who goes above and beyond!! His name is Brandon and hes always pleasant and incredibly helpful as well as knowledgeable about his department. Jenna, Deli Manager, is fantastic!! I ALWAYS look for her if I cant find something in her department! She not only knows where the product is but takes me directly to it!! Finally, theres Dennis who also works in the deli. He is terrific!! He always has a smile on his face and always willing to help his customers!! Sadly, theres a woman who is a cashier who is ABSOLUTELY THE WORST EMPLOYEE THIS STORE HAS!!! She is short and cut and incredibly rude and disrespectful!!! I have actually witnessed her arguing with customers more than once!! Additionally, I was shopping a couple of days ago and she was supposed to be covering self check out but was on her cellphone talking about her boyfriend issues so loud that everyone could hear her!! There were 2 people waiting for her to help them but her phone call took priority!! I cant for the life of me understand how this rude, disrespectful and unprofessional woman is still employed by Stop and Shop???

Well this time was going to buy some chairs on clearance told the head supervisor that they were on top shelf that I need it help, she said she will send help right away, but end up waiting 20 min and had to take them down myself.. went and approach again the head supervisor and she just says sorry and says needed to be patient, realy how much longer 🤔

Im always coming to this stop and shop. Its close by. Never had a bad experience here. Its unfortunate the lot that theyre in isnt the best right now. They keep their side clean, the rest of the lot always seems trashed.

Overall my shopping was quick and pleasant. I found all my fresh fruits & veggies easily. Since I am health conscious, I only shop the outer edges of the store which makes for a quick trip. Also, the cashier was pleasant.

Not only is this stop and shop close by, but with the recent renovation it feels nice and up to date. The employees are friendly and its never cray busy so you can get in and out quickly.

So happy that Stop and Shop in Wethersfield reopened their deli again. Its so nice to hear from talk to Phil, he helped me with my ham and cheese purchase. He is very knowledgeable and helpful.

Theres always a long line whenever you go there they just dont care if youre waiting forever in line their cooked chickens are never cooked right. I was there at 430 PM and they had cooked chickens from 10 30 am in the case for sale isnt their a law stating how long prepared foods can sit under the heated lights. Why dont they give paper bags instead of plastic ones their prices are high enough to support this

I like this location very much but I miss the cashiers who were replaced with self-checkout lanes, like so many other stores doing the same. The produce choices have dwindled and they botched the whole deli experience for a while but have made strides to remedy the latter at least.Unfortunately the Recycling Returns area still smells and should be at the rear or side of the store and people are still using the grocery carts to haul in their returns which is unsanitary.Oh, and the robot going around cleaning the floors was disconcerting but Ive seen less of it lately so it seems the management is mindful of our opinions, so make sure to post your own.

Stop & Shop is my go-to place when Im on my way to work and I need to pick up something for lunch they have fried chicken hot wings salads and fruit parfaits and for your banking needs they have a Peoples Bank branch inside of their store I love this place

Waited for at least 15 min trying to get shrimp at the seafood counter. No one to be found at all. Not what i would call good customer service.

The market is awesome,but a little price,but has all needed at home cooking.

My job ordered the meat and cheese platter and we had to pick up other things for a salad (also hummus) very good lunch to feed 20 people. We also got mini brownies. We were under our $100 budget, couldnt have gotten a catered lunch at that price. Lol

It was easy getting in no trouble parking found everything inside the store and easiest getting out.

The five stars are specifically for the Deli and the Deli Manager Jenna. They all work hard, and Jenna has helped me with platters and trays quite a few times -- and she is very competent.

My weekly grocery shopping stop. I noticed the prices jumped last year but have come down somewhat; could this have something to do with the remodeling they have undergone in the last few months? Beverly in the seafood department is a joy - she always directs me to the good deals/fresh fish of the day. Tameka is the fastest scanner in the store - she can get you through the line in no time! We were looking for a particular item & the Lays guy (not a store employee) dropped what he was doing to assist - this is not to say the employees arent helpful - they are indeed. Everyone working in the store is nice and friendly. The only reservation is the way they keep changing up the store in regards to moving departments of items to different places. .. it can get frustrating at times. .... and what happened to the Heinz 57 sauce?! 15 spots for A1 but no 57 sauce anymore?

I will not come back to this location. I had an unpleasant experience with a staff member. I prefer Rocky Hill or Newington either way, more suitable for my liking. Just my 2 cents.

The self checkout worker, shes an older lady was rude about the cold and cough medicine. I didnt have an ID on me and she gave me such an attitude about me not buying it. I was like next time have someone put a sign by the item so customer will know. She admittedly started talking about how much she loves her self and she is not going to loose her job for anyone. At the end of the day I am sick and just trying to get through my day. No need for the attitude I could live without it. She is unprofessional and just made me so annoyed with her smart remarks. I went there for groceries and figure I will get some medication get through the test of my day. This happened today 11/3/19 at 10:45 a.m.

Not happy at all with Stop and Shop. The cashiers, that is if there is more then one on duty are so busy talking and cant even move the belt up so I can start putting my groceries on it. Most of the time Im doing a week worth if not two weeks worth of groceries because I dont have time to be going shopping. I want to get in and out. I cant use the self service because I have to many ideas, so I need to go to a cashier. Its becoming a joke!! Shopping use to be fun and relaxing but going to Stop and Shop is frustrating and not worth it!! Its to bad

What they did with the deli is terrible. With this grab and go you have no options to try a single piece you want to taste, you cant buy like 4 provolone for a 4 person dinner, I found out since there are no tickets people are lessPolite and will just jump in front of you. I will be shopping at shop rite from now on after 20 years at stop and shop

I went there yesterday and I was not happy with the guy that works in the recycling center, telling me I can’t bring more then 2 bags. Is this a new law that he made, who the hell is he telling me that I can’t bring more then 2 bags here. He told me that the fire marshall came there, and said that. And there are written papers on the door, saying that too. It looks like he wrote that on his computer-and brought it to work. Well let me tell you something. I will be talking to the corporate about this situation. And that guy needs to get fired, because he doesn’t want to work there. His lazy, I want to speak to the general manager from that store.

This place is a joke. You have all these angry employees who cant even cut a slice of meat correct! They always claim something is broken or they dont steam lobsters. The place smells like something is dying in the back. I will never do business at Stop and Shop some one needs to send an inspector in there ASAP!

The remodeling of the store is beautifully done and just what a store I grew up going to, for 30 years, needed. The cereal bar allows you to pick your favorite cereals and not have to buy entire boxes.

There is no more deli so you cant get any luncheon meat cut to order! They say that the meat is fresh in the package but who knows for sure!!!

I just need to get used to the new layout of the store, I had to go back and forth a couple of times to aisles I had missed. The staff is always extremely friendly to me and my kids.
