Great place went here for the first time with a friend because I was recommended and I really liked the coffee and the donuts we got, the staff was very friendly and the atmosphere of the place was enjoyable. One thing I really liked was the fact that they donate money to charitable organizations. 👍🏽👍🏽

Such a cute place! I stopped in shortly before closing so I didnt get a chance to really check the place out. Very cozy and bright! Perfect spot to meet a friend, have a meeting, work on homework, etc. Coffee menu is very unique but still has the traditional favorites for both coffee and tea. Cold brew was so good! Girls at the front were so friendly and quick to get our orders in. Cannot wait to come back to try more coffee drinks and check out the gift shop!

Chai tea Latte is fantastic (would give the drink 5 stars alone).I was planning to sit and be quiet in contemplation and thought, but the sign said the seats were reserved for chatting customers only….. so I went into their “think space” which felt like a cold room bare walled with a table that reminds you to limit your time so other ppl can sit in the think space.Their Apple cider Donut tastes like a jolly rancher, too bitterly in its over sweetness. WOULD NOT recommend this “treat.”

Loved this space! Lots of cute gifts here with all brands that were local, sustainable, and/or charitable. Loved that they served infused water, and had quiet spaces. The coffee was excellent and the bakery items were tasty!

Love this place! Their lavender vanilla latte is to die for. The vibe is cool, cozy and very welcoming. In addition to coffee, tea and food, they sell a wide variety of cool artisan goods like bracelets and homemade candles. I especially love the owners mission to help women in developing countries and survivors of human trafficking, homelessness and addiction build better lives for themselves. The world needs more businesses like My Half of the Sky.

Charming place with fun trendy atmosphere. Cool local jewelry for sale. We had a few errors with our order and had to go back a couple times but in the end all was good and tasty.

10/10 recommend the chai latte in here! (Iced if it’s summer). The atmosphere was wonderful, the aesthetic was perfect and they have outdoor seating- (an added bonus with Covid and masks and whatnot.)Definitely going back!

Crowded, stressful, the order was wrong, they charge you extra to sit in the quiet setting upstairs. What a racket. Overrated. Zero stars really.

Lots of variety with treat, tea, and coffee options. Pleasant staff, clean bathroom, interesting building set up in that you feel you are in someones older home converted to a coffee shop (which it probably was....).Interesting art work and really truly amazing wares for sale that support women and children in other countries find gainful employment and education. Im leaving this review purely in the spirit of helping a clearly well-intentioned local business improve. The cold brew I received was around 80% ice by volume. The coffee itself tasted watered down from the first sip, and had almost no caffeine kick. Im sorry to say Ive gotten a better cold brew from that national chain that everyone loves to rip on. Im willing to give them another shot next time Im in the area, but this wasnt a good first impression. Photo of my cup attached.

Lavender latte! I’ve been searching for someone to make it great and they did. They were so sweet to me and my baby while we waited.

The mask mandate is not present at this shop as there were many people ordering not wearing masks when they have a mandate on their door. Additionally, what isn’t present is friendly customer service from the girls working. I had received a 3/4 full 24 oz latte and when I asked if she could put more oat milk in it, she shrugged and said “I guess, sure”. Also avoid the iced latte if you want a full cup of coffee worth the $7 paid. In all, the latte was sub par and made rushed as well as they cold brew my friend had. Love the cause they support, and hopefully when I return it will be better.

This shop deserves 5 stars for its social mission and lovely little gift shop in the front of the store. However, the Coffee is merely acceptable. Five and Hoek, nearby, is a far better coffee shop. However, if one isnt terribly fussy about the coffee, and loves being a part of something bigger when buying, My Half of the Sky offers coffee that is better than Starbucks, and with a wonderful message to boot.

One of the best tasting iced mochas Ive ever had! Great little shop in a cozy house, I love these kind of locations. Proceeds go towards a good cause, highly recommend.

I absolutely love this place! They have private working spaces, extremely nice staff and every drink I have tried is so yummy!! They also sell jewlery / mugs that benefit homeless/ traffickong victims. Just amazing!!

Very relaxed atmosphere and nicely decorated store .I really enjoy their tea selection, my favorite is called Morning MOJO i love it iced, hot or as a latte the tea is amazing.The homemade English Muffin Bread, Cinnamon Rolls ...are delicious!!They also have a nice selection of jewelry by Pure Vida and other fun earrings by other vendors!They offer think space seating rooms for business meetings or a place to your homework.The only down side is they are a bit more pricey than Starbucks for most items .

I’m so glad I found this place! We opted for carry out even though they are open for indoor dining currently. It seemed like a really chill space with some rooms for teamwork so definitely keeping it in mind for the future. The quiche and cinnamon roll were delicious. The oolong was really well balanced, and didn’t need any sweetener even though it was a dark roast which was awesome. The beef empanada was so good! The London fog was nice but as a personal preference I would ask them to make it stronger next time. Will definitely be visiting again.

Delightful coffee shop. Coffee is good with interesting twists. Had a lavender vanilla coffee, was really good... It did have a flavor remiscent of fruit loops... In a good way. And the bread they use was quite possibly the best piece of bread I have ever had with a smear of avocado. So good.

If this place were to ever get a bad rating it’s because the person rating it is a sad individual. This place is a blessing! And the drinks are amazing!

Absolutely fantastic! Excellent service, super friendly staff, and excellent iced coffee. I also love that this shop is women supporting women. Cant get better than that! Do yourself a favor and order the Nutella stuffed waffle. You wont be disappointed.

This is a lovely place and they have quality coffee and a lot of gift shop items which raise money to support victims of human trafficking and women. The coffee is on the expensive side and many tables forbid the use of laptops but i think its nice there is so much room meant for people to read and visit.

This is such a cozy place to go with delicious beverages and snacks and all with a heart for putting their money and efforts where their heart is. The staff is really friendly!

A good option for coffee. If you’re looking for a place to study, this is it. They have many nooks and crannies and even private rooms for group study. They coffee is ok and they have many tea options. Super fast WiFi. It’s also big on social justice and does a lot in giving back to the community. My go to place for studying and catching up with friends in the Wheaton area.

If you want a place where you can enjoy a lovely handcrafted latte, chat with an old friend and support a good cause or two....this is the place for you! The atmosphere is just overall lovely and the baristas are very sweet. If you would like a suggestion, get the iced lavender vanilla latte. 12/10 would recommend. Wish I could rate 10/5 stars!

My favorite place to go and study with a friend or bring out of town guests to. The upstairs has several seating options including a separate room with a large table and a white board.They have many unique flavored beverages and treats. I love the chai latte with macadamia milk! The cookies and empanadas are always great.

Electricity in the house was cut off so I had to go somewhere quiet to finish some work and make calls. Peaceful environment with ample private rooms and break out spaces, accompanied by a friendly staff and great pastries.

WOW!! A social entrepreneurship. Proceeds go to women in need rather than the business owners wallet. What a great concept. Great quality products and the profits support women who have overcame / in the process of overcoming adversities. I loved the coffee and the breakfast empanadas. Adorable shop. Cant wait to return and bring other friends. Pick up some cute earrings and next time I will buy one of the candles that supports young moms. Thank you for opening my half of the sky.

I like this place for its charm. A place to relax. Was there today a really cool thing happened. Sun came through window with stained glass and it made rainbows on the floor. I like that you can access WiFi and they have designated areas with tables making it perfect to use laptops. I have only tried the Quiche Unfortunately, I found it dry and spongey. Will try something else next time. I will return, meeting friends there next week.

Ive been to this lovely place a few times since it opened and every time I walk in there is something new. Its a large coffee/tea house that bakes its own pastries. In addition to several yummy tea varieties, they offer small batch coffee beans and espresso drinks. Taste the beef, egg and cheese or guava empanadas. Several types of dark chocolate bars. Bite size dessert cups. And many beautiful local handmade jewelry, candles, lotions, leather bags and more. I bought a gorgeous pearl cascade necklace for $25. Proceeds benefits women victims of violence and refugees.

So cute! this place is absolutely lovely, in a great location downtown wheaton. They have a wide variety of drinks, including an extensive milk selection for all your needs, and their mission is admirable. Everyone was incredibly friendly when we visited and the staff was lovely.

My favorite place to meet people for coffee!! I usually get loose leaf tea, which is also good. As one not totally informed on all things coffee, I appreciate the little diagrams they have on what some traditional coffee items (americano, cappuccino, etc) actually contain. Theres lots of nooks if you want a quiet space. I always love my visits there!!

Very impressed with this coffee shop. Neat, clean, fast service. You can see them make your drink right in front of you without any obstructions. I am so happy about the mission of this place--glad they care about women who are oppressed around the world and want to support them practically. This is reason enough to go! Definitely a coffee place--I will leave the coffee critiques to the coffee people. As a tea person, I can tell they dont have a very extensive knowledge of tea even though they do loose leaf (brewing temps/times, how to best sweeten it, etc).

I enjoy the idea and mission of the place. Having gone now a handful of times, I can say its hit or miss. The pastries are good and theres at least a few more tea options than at Starbucks or RCR.However, for being a think space, my goodness theres more rules than at a library (and Im a librarian 😉). Kind of stymies the creative juices.Lets maybe agree to put half the rules on the back burner. That way, the staff can learn more about the menu and spend less time enforcing rules they dont seem particularly to believe are important.

This was a fantastic place. Every single purchase goes to a great cause, for women who have struggled in multiple ways. Not only that this shop is set up inside of a home. There is plenty of seating upstairs and downstairs, and their drinks are phenomenal. I was truly so happy to pay for not only a good cause but s fantastic atmosphere. It felt like it was only me and the person I went with there, although there were a ton of people. Thats just how home like it was. Will be going again.

I enjoyed my horchata latte, and there was a very good selection of coffee and tea beverages both hot and cold to choose from. They also had some very high quality baked goods. Savory empanadas among them, this is a great place to have a snack and a coffee with a friend or find a quiet corner to work.The reason it gets 5 stars instead of 4 is that the proceeds are supporting very good causes, helping those rescued from trafficking among others. I recommend giving them your custom.
