Having recently moved into White Plains, I’ve been checking out local businesses near my apartment. A few days ago I noticed the Hastings Tea & Coffee cafe on Main Street and couldn’t help but appreciate how happy their customers limbed who were seated at their outside tables enjoying their drinks. I decided that I had to drop by for an almond latte. When I walked into the cafe I was surprised to see that in addition to the impressive coffee, tea and desserts, they also sold bottles of wine snd even have a wine of the month club! While I was there, I watched how dedicated the staff was in helping their other customers and when I asked Jay if he could help me buy a bottle of wine, he suggested I speak to Bill who was more educated on their wines. After spending about twenty minutes learning about their wines, I ended up purchasing a Spanish from Portugal and a red from France.I’m Not a connoisseur if wines but my friends were blown away by my selection and while I had only gone into the cafe for their coffee, I had discovered a great new go to place for wine too!

I’ve been going there for years, it’s my sanctuary. I love this place so much and the tea is something out of this world. I really love this place, the staff are always friendly and well trained to make the best drinks. The atmosphere is relaxing for both studying, working, reading, and catching up with an old friend. Every time I bring someone along, they enjoy the atmosphere and drinks as well.

Great service and delicious drinks! I have yet to try the food, but it doesnt look to disappoint. Definitely try the butterfly latte and the fruit smoothies(I had mango flavor), can you say YUM! Plus, youll get to enjoy it either inside this cozy little place or right around the corner in their little outside seating area. So cute! Ill be coming here again!

I wish I had a tea shop like this, Id be living the dream. Both the Gyokuro and Oolong were brewed and measured to perfection. The shortbread cookies were a great match too.

Wow. Tiramisu latte was amazing!!!!! To ably the best latte I’ve ever had. The vibe is super chill and so relaxing.

Drove all the way up to try this place cuz it was open till 8pm. But they close at 6pm on Sunday.Might be a good idea to update their sites.

Coffee was just okay for me. The caramel macchiato was pretty good. Tiramisu latte was pretty bad. But Ive had better in Westchester imo. The ambiance was nice. Good location on main street. Staff was friendly. Just okay for me.

Very nice little cafe. Friendly personnel and phenomenal espresso. I spoke with the manager Frankie and he said the espresso is from a local business. I’m Italian born and raised and lived in New York City for over 10 years, and can guarantee this is one of the best espresso I’ve had in NYC. Will Be Back!

The coffee was awesome, the scone was fresh and delicious crunchy on the outside and muffiny on the inside. The gentleman in the front was nice, pleasant and friendly. The ambiance was perfect, great music and I was able to read the paper too. What more could I ask for. Thank you Hastings!

I come here each time I visit White Plains and I am never disappointed. Love their drinks, especially their teas! Only note I have is that service can be bit slow, but thats only because they are very precise. Definitely recommend

One of the most crispy crossiants Ive ever had. Sooooo good.Stumbled upon this place randomly and ended up getting a tea in place of my usual coffee. Love the tea selection here. The place is understaffed for their footfall so takes some time to get your order and the line moves slow

This was one of the best coffee shops Ive visited around the area. I recommend trying nitro cold brew came back several times during the trip to get this drink.

My friend and I went to the shop for the first time, very nice, small, cute coffee shop. But WOW, never felt so uncomfortable, we are both Spanish and the look underneath that mask! first thing that came out of their mouth was that they will be closing at 7pm, we got there at 5:40pm? we still decided to sit to enjoy the coffee and again were reminded that they were closing in 10 mins, while there were other people sitting there. No smile, no good service at all. Will never recommend or go there again.

Great local coffee /tea cafe. Sometimes they have quiches which are really good. But my only suggestion is that ~they should try to sell more matcha desserts! But they are all super nice, great vibe and they have a points system, which is awesome for frequent go-ers.

The most delicious chai latte Ive had. Perfect amount of spice. Perfect temperature- I usually have to wait at least five minutes to take my first sip because its too hot. Glad to see it busy. They have a great selection of loose tea i can buy to bring home. They need to stay in business! Please go.

All depends on who is working! Some of them are awesome and others sit and talk to their friends for 20 min before making your tea... also they only steeped my tea for 2 minutes after that so I basically paid $6 for hot water and sugar :/ I’ve had many good experiences but today was DEFINITELY not a good one and makes me rethink being a loyal customer...

Cute as a button tea cafe right on Main St. And they have good coffee. The only thing that may be an issue is that its so small that you can hear others talking. If you go and its already bustling, no worries, but if you need to have a quiet conversation and there are only a few people there, just be mindful that voices can carry in the space.Highly recommend.

We went there for a live music show. The space was cozy and the drinks were warm and delicious. I got the Chai latte. The flavor was good but I could have had it with a little more water than milk. I will definitely be going back the next time Im in White Plains. Im so interested in getting some of their other teas plus the pastries look delicious.

I really love coming here every time Im in White Plains. The staff are very nice and its a good little shop to come with your laptop, a book or just to meet up with someone for a good afternoon tea.Unfortunately, if your driving there only a 15 minutes wait right outside, but fortunately, thats long enough to grab a tea and treat and be on your way. Definitely worth stopping in for a drink if you have the time.

I love this place. The tea there is excellent, the treats (including the vegan ones!) are tasty, and most importantly, the atmosphere is just right if youre looking to sit down and hang out for a bit. If youre going, definitely give the tea lattes a try. The earl grey is especially refreshing.

Bad quality and really bad service. they have cute nice little space but still we were served tea in disposable cup. what the hell. and when we asked for tea in mug they said its for small size but they didnt give that option in the first place. asked for water without ice and they still gave us iced water. had to remind them about the muffin we had ordered that they forgot in the microwave. and horrible really horrible English tea.

My go to coffee shop in WP! - Plenty of sitting, WiFi and of course great music!Their Milk Tea is really good if you want a hot drink and the Matcha Lemonade is really good if you want a nice icy refresher!!Love this place ❣️

The Starbucks around the corner had zero welcoming appeal and I immediately left to find a better place to do my work and have a warm beverage and was so happy to come upon this gem of a tea shop. Its the complete opposite of the neighborhood Starbucks, its warm, welcoming, comfortable and fast kind customer service! So now its my go-to cafe when Im in town. 😌

I love that they have my favorite tea, Gunpowder Green Tea. Its so hard to find outside of my own kitchen. But ever single time Ive ordered it, it has been over-brewed and bitter. Even with sweetener, the taste is intolerable.Id expect bitter tea from a coffee shop, but how can a specialty tea shop serve their customers tea that wasnt prepared correctly?It seems like a popular spot, and I love tea so I wish I could go here on my walk to the train station in the mornings, but how could I return to a tea shop that doesnt know that tea doesnt have to be bitter?

Quiet tea/coffee shop - good alternative to the hustle and bustle of Starbucks nearby. Variety of tea and coffee options. Friendly staff and comfortable seating, including cluster seats and tables for meetings.

My niece loves this place. Her favourites from here are the blueberry tea and the red velvet cake. Everyone was so nice and helpfulb

The staff is amazing - always friendly and helpful. The tea + coffee selection is also great and hits the spot. At times it may get very crowded which makes it hard to find a seat - but nonetheless the atmosphere is very homely and a great place to hang out in.

Great place to relax and study/work besides Starbucks in the white plains downtown. Honestly, a less crowded, less noisy and more tidy place compared to the latter. Friendly Staff and good quality products.

Bringing the cool to Polk St. Great coffee and slick space (more slick than cosy though). Four stars because its the nicest coffee shop in the area but I wouldnt go out of my way to come here (Blue Bottle, Four Barrel and Sightglass all have better coffee and are nicer places to hang out).

Matcha lemonade is the best there! Cute spot for a few friends hanging out and catching up. Restroom is inside a office building and the hallway is a little creepy.

A lovely little tea shop with a variety of comfy chairs and study spots to match their tremendous assortment of teas, from Earl Grey to twig tea. Had an Earl Grey tea blended with pineapple and peach, and it was heavenly, and genius.

Excellent lattes and tea. Everything is made fresh and correctly. Puts Starbucks and Dunkin to shame.

Amazing little tea shop nearby all other downtown White Plains shopping. I always stop by here to pickup some tea whenever Im near the area. Their teas are incredible! I usually buy at leats a few ounces of the Blueberry Breeze loose leaf tea, its absolutely delicious! They also have some decent snacks and small meals, as well as hot tea made right in front of you. The Hibiscus tea is really good, too. The Spicy Mint tea is perfect for any kind of sore throat or cold or just to warm you up on a snowy day. Friendly and knowledgeable staff that make every visit a pleasurable experience. Great spot to study or read, quiet and relaxing atmosphere. #matcha #dogfriendly #studyspot
