Picked up a great tasting carrot cake from here. My family LOVED it! Kudos to the friendly staff there!

I have been a customer of White Plains Bake Shoppe for many years and I’m thrilled to say that they have some of the most delicious desserts, breads and challahs you can buy anywhere. Lee Kaufman, the owner, is dedicated to providing the highest quality as well as personal service to his customers. He also has a dedicated staff who are friendly and professional to their customers. Thankfully, the White Plains Bake Shoppe is considered to be ESSENTIAL and is OPEN for business. They have very strict rules regarding social distancing and I felt very safe inside their bakery!

My sister absolutely loves their lemon cake. I picked up a lemon cake for her birthday and as usual she was soooooo happy. Moist, delicious and lemony is what she always says about their cakes. Does anyone know what lemony means?

I ordered a large pareve cake for a graduation party this past weekend. The cake was just beautiful, and the taste was absolutely outstanding! Just the best. Excellent customer service, too! Repeat customer here, for sure.

Amazing kosher bakery in the heart of White Plains. They have a great selection of breads, rolls, cookies, and cakes. They also have challahs on Thursdays and Fridays for shabbat and Hamantashen at Purim time. Everything is delicious, and the staff is very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. They accept credit cards and you can have the receipt emailed or texted to you. Theyre closed on Mondays. No Im going to go enjoy the rest of my chocolate horn (pictured)!

Weve been patrons of this bakery for years but will not be going back. Went in today and there was an older man leaning against the wall, so I went up to the counter. The owner who saw this said to the older man that he wouldnt have let someone cut in front of him like that loud enough for all to hear. Note that the girl at the counter didnt say that the man was before me, the man himself didnt say anything to the effect that he was on line (even though he was not even near the counter) and the owner didnt politely say to me that the man was before me. Some of their baked items are good but it looks like many of their cookies are trays of mass produced ones they purchase elsewhere. Either way, fortunate to have many other wonderful bakeries in this area to go for sweets!

Went there earlier today. Bought a brownie and an Italian cookie. The brownie was fudgy and very soft, but tasted of nothing. The walnuts topping the brownie tasted stale. The Italian cookie tasted bland.

We wanted to buy a birthday cake from here on a Tuesday at 5pm. We found this bakery online and it said that the bakery was open until 6pm. Since it was the day after Christmas, I decided to call to confirm that they were open. Nobody answered. Then I decided to check their website to make sure they weren’t closed for any reason. Apart from their early closing hour on Christmas Eve, there was no notice of any changes to their working hours. However, when we went to the bakery, they were closed. There was no notice whatsoever on their door indicating that they would be unexpectedly closed at 5pm on a Tuesday.After asking other local friends about this bakery, they mentioned going to them at least twice before and finding it closed.Unreliable timing is not a great experience and we’re not inclined to try this bakery in the future.

They have a something with chocolate and a nuts thats like a large danish or babka but moister and just incredible! Look on the top shelf in the middle showcase. Its something I have not really found at other bakeries.

I didnt go in...reminisced about going there as a child with my now deceased father.....its not a vegan bakery and Im vegan since 1979...but I was vegetarian as a kid...used to get black and white cookies there on sundays and hed sing off key opera to the radio there and back....a happy memory

Holy moly! I only wanted some cookies for an event, but the lady behind the counter gave me some kinda almond macaron covered in Ganache, with mousse inside... I dont like that kinda stuff usually but it qas sublime! Cookies were ready on time, and about half the price i expected. Friendly staff. No complaints!
