Very nice guys. The lumber is delivered to your car and when I cant find something at home Depot Oromill has it.

The big box, corporate stores that have taken over America have fostered the loss of the hometown experience of the past losing touch with its customer base over the savings of a few pennys. Walking into Oromill is an experience from yesteryear where the employees actually know your name and furthermore, unlike the big corporate stores, there are cheerful employees who ask you if they can help you and then they actually lead you to the exact product that you need with a smile on their face. And best of all, they actually know about their products and can give you real advice that helps your project to a better result. And another thing is that I often find better options at Oromill than the standard every day products found at the chain companies. I found such a better selection of interior doors at Oromill and I think about it all of the time when I see the generic doors at others homes. I also found that I saved a small fortune buying windows custom fit for my home at Oromill. You just dont know what you are all missing at this community gem. Go to Oromill especially if you live in Whittier and support a dying breed of home town professionals that you will eventually come to know by name and they will greet you by your name too.

To be fair I think the buying experience depends on so many factors its really difficult to assess with just one visit. also im a low volume consumer. however with that said, i bought enough to make two cabinets, including ply and solid boards.they were accommodating in terms of providing cutting service for a fee, so I had all my plywood pre-cut.the sales person assigned to me was very nice and took care of the transaction, however the quality of the ply and solid boards were really not what I paid for.instead of 2 full sheets of sanded 3/4 ply cut into precise boards, what I got appeared to be scrap 3/4 ply from different boards with varying quality, and for the bigger cut pieces - dirty, stained, and lower quality boards. For the smaller pieces, very good quality, knot free, defect free boards.the solid boards also seemed to have been ripped from different scrap boards, displaying very different quality and some already warping.

They had what I was looking for when H.D., Lowes, and Ganahl didnt.
