They are getting a better selection of ammunition. The prices are still pretty high but not totally unreasonable. Usually check out is swift and organized but not today. Still a good experience overall.

Took pair of shoes to front, they were marked 38$ they rang up 129$. I asked them to go check price on item and manager said they ring up 129$ that is the price. I told her display said 38$ the only difference was color of display shoe: both were gray just different color on bottoms and shoe strings. She said that can make a difference, same style. I spent alot of time looking for product to be basically shooed away with no regards to customer service. I left with no shoes not because of product or price but because of managements disregard to even confirm the price marked on display.

When the man stocking the shelves tells you its in the back corner and points across the store, he aint lying! Went in to purchase a special type of dog ball which apparently isnt sold anywhere else. After doing a quick skim of the isles up front which had assorted balls, I asked the first worker I saw. He pointed me in the correct direction and I set off. I seriously thought there cant be many more isles, Im almost to the corner. The very last isle in the corner as the man said is where to find the dog balls, past the camping stuff almost into the bathrooms! He knew his stuff. In the future I will be back to purchase more dog balls, some stretch bands and such simply because I felt the employee really knew the store.

Went to buy granddaughters clothes for vacation and found all she wanted in this 1 store. Prices were rite to. Love academy.

Very disappointed in the state of the shoe section. I walked in, and four employees were standing around talking and not offering any help. You’d think with the amount of staff, the shoe section would be clean and organized, but it wasn’t. I couldn’t find my size or the type of shoe I wanted because they were so UNORGANIZED. It was frustrating having to rummage through every pair to try and see what I needed. When asking staff for help, he acted like he didn’t want to help at all. Left with nothing because I wasted half a hour searching.

Lots of great deals and the store was clean and well organized. Clerks were busy reorganizing the shoes from people tossing them here and there. But, found what we needed and were very pleased

I enjoy window shopping in Academy and get my walking shoes there. Didnt find what I wanted but enjoy looking.

Its a nice place to shop associates were all standing around gossiping together not to interested in helping their customers or more interested in playing on their phones and staying in small groups we had to holler at one that we needed assistance the youngest and newest one came over other than that though pretty nice place to go shopping for shoes fishing poles

Shoe area by the benches had a lot of trash. We were looking at the sunglasses case and would have liked to purchase a pair however we couldnt get help.The cashier charged us for 3 pairs of shoes when we only bought 2 pair, when I questioned the total price she just said its expensive, we had to go directly to customer service and show the lady our items and the receipt to get it corrected.Overall, not a great experience. Shop online and save yourself the aggravation.

I have always liked to shop at Academy.The store is always clean and neat.Usually if you are looking for a specific something they have it or can get it.I usually shop for guns, knives, and survival gear, my only complaint is I wish there were more staff back in that department, that is why the four star rating.Because it was just before Christmas and all of this Covid mess there were really long lines but the service was very quick, friendly, and professional.Thank You Academy for all that you do for your customers!

Taylor was so friendly and helpful today when I came to the gun bar with a question. My issue ended up being easy but he was so patient showing me how to use the quick loader.

John Drapaniotis in the fire arms department went over and beyond to help my wife and i with a transfer of a fire arm to Lawton. We looked all over the state of Oklahoma to find the gun and couldnt find it. We went to Wichita Falls and John was very helpful soof yiu need help with a purchase of a fire arm go see John.

Recieved tremendous help today by Taylor. He showed me how to dissemble something I had bought there for cleaning. The owners manual was had skipped a couple steps and was useless. It took him about 30 seconds to show me how to do. Ive always received that level of service from Academy. Thanks.

Bought two guns tonight, Dillon, Graham, Erin, David, Darren were all super helpful. The gun counter was a circus, which has been probably been the norm the last week or so. Even with some very difficult, very impatient customers they were all calm, cool, and remained courteous and professional. Always love shopping at my Wichita Falls Academy, but the Gun desk is always 5 star service. Will definitely be back in soon!

Would be a good place to put a sporting good store. Shelves are empty. Shoe dept mgr doesnt know how to order sizes. They think all men wear a 8 slim. This is why so many people are ordering on line.

Good prices on most items, reasonable selection. Occasionally found the great deal on sports equipment.

The staff are friendly. As with most places, currently they seem to be out of most ammo. Prices are reasonable but scan before going to the register the shelf was $5.00 lower than the register price on a box of ammo.

The gentleman behind the counter was named Wesley and I cannot express how much knowledge this man has when it comes to guns. I have never felt like there was a more competent person behind the counter trying to advise me when it came to a product. Thank you Wesley for all of the things that you talk to me about regarding H&K as well as the 1911s.

The people are great.We went shopping for some fishing gear and there was a handicapped person on the floor in a wheelchair who not only knew the products but knew everything about what wasnt in stock and so did everybody else,believe me we ask alot of questions.My buddy and l are both Veterans and were pleased that one employee thanked us for our service.The place is loaded and we enjoyed taking our time browsing.
