Well, its a dollar tree.With that out of the way, ill be giving it 5 stars, as opposed to the terrible score I gave the nearby dollar general. Unlike the nearby dollar general, this dollar tree is clean, its stocked and doesnt look like a tornado came through.Its in a great location along the square, and inside there was no a/c on this hot day, but it made up for it with the fact its clean, its open, and its stocked.When I went in they had their Halloween and Thanksgiving items out and its pretty great selection.

Store is really nice and clean. Then there is clerk Ken...took longer to wait for him to make sure my $10 bill was valid than to get what I needed. Didnt realize there was a surge of counterfeit 10$ bills in Wilkes-Barre. My $20 was immediately good.

The store is a mess. Theres more clutter than actual useful items. And usually cant find what Im looking for.

Its pretty good you can find almosy anyrhjng you would wantin a dollar tree here. It gets busy though and there isnt always much help at the registers. Also can get messy in there store.

I literally only go if I need something fast like a envelope or pen or something!! They never have enough people working. But I kinda get it. I do believe they only pay their employees like minimum wage and who could seriously live on that? I wouldnt work there either.

Pretty standard store in layout, but the cashier was on her phone using earbuds while cashing me out. Thought she was talking to me at first.

Love the store. However, the one cashier that worked during daytime hours was on her cellphone making a personal call THE ENTIRE time right infront of customers. She was extremely unprofessional, disrespectful, unapologetic and just did not care for her job position. She only asked customers in a very annoyed and gruff way if they wanted receipts. Very bad experience with this particular cashier.

Love this location. Visit it almost daily. Wish they had another cashier tho...its hard tryna hustle thru there between bus routes when theres a line creeping halfway down an aisle and only one person ringing out all us custys & getting us out the door and out the way...🤔

There never seems to be more then 2 cashiers working at a time. The past few times i was there the person in front of me needed balööns. Well the cashier has tobleave her register to do that which deüenföding on how many baloons rhey want blown up could take almost a half hpur

This dollar tree always is stocked and has alot of stuff for only ONE DOLLAR! It seems to employ really nice and friendly people, especially the college students who will help you out and share a laugh with you as well! Great place for those uh oh, I forgot to grab ___ moments!

Dollar Tree is Dollar Tree, right?Not quite. This one has all the things you might expect - including the refrigerated and frozen items. But it also has one asset that sets it apart: The friendly, knowledgeable store manager. (I dont know if thats actually her title, but its likely something like that.) Shes more available than many, knows her inventory and truck schedule and what she hopes to get when and what she ordered that might not arrive anyway. And at the slightest hint of conflict, shes right there making everyone calm and satisfied again - even when I know she worked 70 hours or so this week alone. She helps her cashiers, cheering them so their smiles spill over onto the customers. And she genuinely seems to care about the people in her store. That quiet, unassuming, friendly manager just seems to keep everything going so smoothly and cheerfully that this little store has something much more going for it, even with all the same $1 kitchen gadgets and everything else youd find in any other franchise.

I really do like this store. The employees are fantastic. They need to get harder on the customers. The children throw things all over the floors, its disgusting. If i could find someone to watch my dog i would go help clean.

Its well-stocked and offers a great variety but there are never enough cashiers to help at lunch time. One of them is particularly rude. If she doesnt like her job, she should leave.

The store was full of different products the store was real clean the store was really organized I havent been in there for a long time but after going today I will go back the workers were friendly and helpful

They hardly ever got the medicine products Im looking for specifically back and body pills..ibuprofen. or heartburn stuff..never..other stuffs great though overall.

Honestly its a pretty decent dollar store. There are some.name brand things there that come and go like bounty paper towels and elf makeup. Just keep in mind, it is a dollar store, so in most cases, youre paying for what youre getting

The store is vwry clean and neat. Staff was helpful, kind and courteous. Management is exceptional.

Dollar tree shelves are practically bare couldnt find no black hair dye the only head dark brown and red this is my third time there am I experiencing is the same each time cant find nothing

As a person who regularly visits the dollar tree, I can honestly say it has its fair share of positives and negatives, for example, the staff. Very few of which seem to genuinely care more for their customers over their actual job, some show no emotion to their customers other than the urge to get them their things and get them out, while others... seem not to care at all.The spot is very convenient, being in the main area of the city, right beside the bus station and less than blocks away from quite a number of different establishments, but considering how small the store is, you can imagine the store is packed quite often, this would of cost the store greatly in their rating but it seems overtime this problem had just faded away thanks to better staffing and choices made. The store offers a variety of items in 10-14 different everyday categories and once entering, its sometimes hard to shake the feeling of wanting to hunt around for items, even if you didnt Initially come for said item, customers who often only come for a single item end up leaving with way more than they planned for and thats why I feel as tho its the perfect new entry to the strip.My only gripes with the new store is that, for one, it doesnt offer parking unless you pay via parking meter, and when delivery trucks arrive it takes up many of the few available spots, and secondly, some of the employees... it really leads to a hit or miss depending on who you get to meet while in the store, communication is a key factor to any establishment, not only through your words and judgements but also from your actions and youre able to tell a lot about each employee just by greeting them alone, and tho some may think Im over thinking the subject, it can greatly effect ones experience, as well as a group of peoples experience.

Organization of shelves is kinda confusing.

Needed Christmas bags for small gifts for our Christmas party. The bags were all right there near the entrance, I was in, i was out, it was great.

Smallest dt in the area. Parking is only by meter or by parking garage (also charged). Shelves are never full even though you can see mountains of merchandise in the stock room. The other local dts are alot better.

Took my 92 year old grandmother to down town WilkesBarre to go shopping as she does not get out much.She wanted to see the new dollar tree store on public square.As we were walking thur the store you can hear the employees cursing .I was shocked as my grandmother can hear this.I told the employees that it is not right to say things like that in front of elderly people.As we walked away they still did it.Very rude employees.Management was in ear shot away and did nothing.So we decided to just leave.Its ashame to bring new stores to town and have this kind of caliber of people representing the store.I am contacting Dollar tree corporate office on what kind of management and employees that are working in there store.What if there were children present to.This is not what kind of establishment we are use to .We will not ever be back.
