Joey and his team were so kind after a horrible experience with another company. The mechanics fixed my truck by correctly diagnosing the issues and didn’t just throw parts at it. Our family got a nail in our tire while traveling up I-85. We were in a bit of a panic as we weren’t close to home and we could tell the tire pressure was going down quickly. We found this shop online as being nearby. They had us in and out within 20 minutes. Super friendly people and amazingly quick. We are so thankful for them and are happy to highly recommend!

Absolutely the best shop in GA. Staff is friendly, professional and fast. I live in Atlanta but was visiting a family member at the Braselton hospital when I noticed I was having an issue with my tire that had been previously patched. They fixed the patch so fast and even worked with me on where to leave my car keys since I wasnt able to make it back before they closed. Now I will be making the drive to Winder the next time I need a new set of tires, that is how impressed I was with their service!

They were very helpful I had a part on my car that I was told was in good condition but it was never inspected. They checked it out for me and Im good to go for a little bit longer before it needs replacing.

I came here a couple weeks ago to get an oil change and have my breaks looked at because they were making a very loud noise. It was a Friday morning and they were very busy so understandably it took about two hours. I paid for an oil change and was told that my breaks were fine but just needed to be cleaned due to break dust build up. They cleaned them at no charge and said to have them looked at again my next oil change. When pulled out of the shop my breaks were still squeeking and grinding. But after two hours waiting there I didnt want turn around and planned to take it in again after the weekend. I preceded to take a planned road trip to Alabama that Saturday 4plus hours of driving total. Then Monday (Memorial Day) I drove to and from south carolina for a family gathering (3 hrs total driving) besides other driving that weekend I drove a lot in total and my break noises only got worse. Tuesday morning I decided to take it to another place to get a second opinion. When they opened the hood they discovered oil splattered all over under the hood and not a drop of oil left. There was no oil cap on it which was the reason why. I didnt have time or energy to deal with going back to Joey Watkins at this point. So I now paid for a new oil cap, oil, cleaning solution and labor to clean the mess it created. I was also informed that I did indeed need new breaks and rotors on the front which is what was causing the noise. When they finished replacing them, the break noise was indeed gone. On my way home I decided to call Joey watkins automotive to inform them of what happened, especially because of how bad this could have been. With all the driving I did over the weekend my engine could have ceased up at any point if I hadnt thankfully gone to another shop promptly. The man over the phone at Joey Watkins shop was very nice and told me he would have the owner call me. Several weeks later and I have still not received a call :(. I was really trying to give them a chance to redeem themselves, because I understand that people make mistakes, but they made no effort to reach out to me. At the least I was hoping for a phone call from the owner. If they had good business practice and cared about their customers, they could offer to refund me $35 for the oil change and $20 for the oil cap they lost. I honestly dont write reviews but when so many mishaps happen like this and they dont attempt to fix their mistake I think it is important to inform other customers of my experience. Honestly they have a lot a good reviews and this may have been a bad circumstance, but based on my observations they seem to have way more business than work force to handle it. That kind of pressure on anyone is bound to create aweful mistakes. They need to either hire more mechanics or start turning away business they cant handle rather than just trying to take more more more.

Im not a mechanic but Ive worked on cars for 17 years. Joey and his team are my default when theres a job thats too big or a job that I dont have time for. Theyve also pulled me out of a few situations where I got in over my head. Theyre honest, fair, and high-value.

I brought a used car to Joey Watkins for a pre-purchase inspection and immediately felt like they were on my side to help me decide about buying this car. I waited for them to do the inspection and noticed that with anyone that came through the lobby they seemed to be just as friendly and courteous as they had been with me.The inspection was thorough too, with a check-list of what they looked at and quotes for repairs/parts they recommended. Staff is always sweet, welcoming, and straight forward. Theyll let you know ahead of time what shop fees, parts, and mechanic laboring fees are! Theyll even give you the choice to bring in your own parts or oil! Definitely not like most places who try to con you into paying more!

Great shop!! Took my beater car in for suspension work and when it needed more parts than first estimated they were apologetic when they let me know. When I picked it up they said they actually had to use an additional part (and labor to install it) and didnt charge me. They even fixed my squeaky clutch pedal and I hadnt asked them to! What great customer service!! Definitely worthy of your business.

These are the nicest people I have had any dealings with in many years ! Everyone is very courteous and helpful. They went out of their way to get my tires ready and then when I went to pick them up, I was floored by how little they wanted for the job . My car was bought in 8/26/20 and ran a diagnostic test at that time. They said I only needed a crankshaft sensor at that time, and services would be under $400. Later in the day, I was told I also needed a new radiator. Their computers did all these diagnostics. Saturday, 8/29 had to call and see if services were completed after agreeing to get all things fixed on my automobile. A total of fixes were $790 out of the door. Drove car 11 miles down the street and car broke down from their car shop. Got it towed to their auto shop at 1:30 pm on Saturday again. I had to call the shop on Monday, 8/31, to see what was going on with the car. At that time, I was told that their machines had not caught the issue the first time and that I had a blown head gasket, and they do not fix that with towing services and repairs at their shop out of 1,000 dollars and still a not working car.

I had a problem with an ac relay in my car we couldnt find the correct part at the parts stores. These guys didnt give up till they found the right part and where extremely reasonable for the amount of time they had to put in to find the part. They where honest polite and professional. I highly recommend them.

This is a great mechanic. Honest, fair, straight shooters. I had been looking for a new family mechanic when we moved to the area, had one that closed down - but Im thankful for that because it caused me to find Joey Watkins. BTW - I prefer the Braselton/Winder location to the Hamilton Mill one even though its a further drive.

They are the absolute BEST at what they do, which apparently is pretty much anything automobile-related.They have the most amazing customer service you could ever hope for.Not trying to make this into a gender equality/inequality issue but, being that Im female, sometimes we can feel like were being taken advantage of when it comes to our vehicles--if we dont happen to know much about auto mechanics, etc. So, when the list of here is whats wrong, and here are the needed repairs comes out, we can get suspicious.However, at this shop, I do not and have not ever felt that way...not with these folks! They are always 100% upfront and 100% honest. They dont try to gouge you for everything they can get and their work is always top notch!My husband and I wont ever take our vehicles anywhere else!

Went in for an oil leak and $500 later I have new valve covers and oil pan gasket, only for it to “start” leaking from the rear main seal “because of the new pressure and they don’t do that kind of work”. Not to mention had to go back 4 times after I took it in initially and they still couldn’t fix it. After the fourth time, I gave up. Now I will say the staff was very helpful every time however the truck is still leaking oil like crazy.. back to square one...

I called this place Monday they ordered me tires and gave me a quote I told them i could take off Friday they said they would have them. I called this morning because I took off work to go get my tires. They acted weird and was telling me they didnt have them but their order sheet had that they ordered them. I find out the price they quoted me was actually too low. So they just gave me the run around and basically turned me away without trying. I do not recommend this place at all.

They worked on my sons 4Runner and my Honda, and were fantastic! People are always looking for an honest and reputable repair shop, I feel very comfortable recommending this place! They will be doing my wife’s timing belt in the next several months.

This auto mechanic shop has changed owners and names a few times. I am glad to see Joey Watkins is back. Unfortunately, I no longer have the vehicle I used to take there. While under the Joey Watkins name, I always received reasonable quotes and quality service. This is a trustworthy shop.

Weve had to take our vehicles to them for numerous repairs and theyve always done a great job.Im fairly knowledgeable about vehicles, so as a female its nice that they dont sit and try to mansplain everything me.They listen to my concerns, or to my oftentimes ridiculous sounding reenactments of what is going on with my vehicle😏.They always give me a straightforward diagnosis and let me know the cost of repairs, etc.We will always use these guys for our vehicles.👍😁

Old guy works on Saturdays was very rude!! He basically told me to take it back to where I got it from and let them do. Never again will I go because of that one whats so rude to me.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Literally they tried to finesse me into paying $951 for a tune up and 3 coils and new gasket valve cover, I took it to another place and Im only paying $210 for it to be fixed. Mind you Im 19 and a girl Im guessing they thought they could finesse me! They thought wrong. And I will tell everyone to never go here again. They are not honest, and their prices are not fair.

Wont go back anymore. Told them after they ran a diagnositics and they found what I suspected it was to replace the part. They didnt they charged me for diagnostics run and told me to take to dealer. I changed out part myself that I thought was the problem for 30 bucks. Been running fine since (1+ months now).
