Akins is the industry standard, and it takes less than five minutes into the first visit to recognize how special this dealership is. The staff treats you like family! Seriously, they are genuine and eager to share their knowledge. The on-site inventory is colossal, they literally have all trims of all models in all colors! The campus is beautiful, clean, and organized. Elaborate displays/artificial landscapes showcase products in spectacular/impactful fashion. And the customer service lounge has no shortage of perks itself. There’s never a shortage of complimentary ice cream, premium coffee (including specialty varieties), a full fountain drink (Coca-Cola products) and much more?

Their website is very misleading. The prices are not what they actually offer once you get there. Especially for trade ins. About $3000 less than what they offered online. Drove 2 hrs just to be told that their website is out of wack as far as the trade in program goes that theyre using online. They do not honor what they advertise. Will take my business elsewhere.

This review is based on my experience at the service center for jeep. I wanna start by saying this is going to be extremely fair and honest. I gave a two star because the cashier was extremely helpful on trying to resolve the issue. However Lance the service writer at this location has gave us nothing but a headache and run around. We brought the car to the dealership because we needed it repaired correctly. The vehicle had a problem with the rear Passenger wheel bearing. The vehicle was at this dealership for two weeks. Waiting for parts. We gave everyone the benefit of the doubt. I even tipped the mechanic ahead of time just to try to be in everybody’s good graces. We paid for the repairs as well as an alignment. This is where the problem starts. Not only did we wait two weeks but they never did the alignment. It took them forever to provide proof of the before and after paperwork of the alignment. Finally the cashier went out of her way to find the paperwork. However the car still acted the same as prior to the repair. This is why I’m saying I don’t believe in alignment was done. We finally got fed up waiting and waiting. The car belongs to an elderly lady who happens to be my mother in law. They made her wait almost 4 hours for something she had an appointment for.Lance is not qualified and needs some training. It’s clear he knows nothing about vehicle repair.We brought the car back to have the alignment corrected and nothing. They couldn’t get it write. Finally we decided to just go elsewhere. That elsewhere was Rick Hendrix Jeep on Pleasant hill. We paid $120 for an alignment and they got it right.This service center is a joke. We wasted our time.Unfortunately we wanted to use your facility to build a relationship and and have a place close to home to build rapport, well... let’s just say this didn’t work out.

I purchased a new ram 1500 back in may from Rodney Blount. It was an awesome experience. The price was exactly as advertised online. I got what I asked for my trade and it was zero hassle. Most of the paper work was completed before I got there as we had been emailing back and forth. I would recommend Rodney to everyone.

My husband and I live over an hour away from this dealership. We were able to look online then communicate with our salesman, Kenny Fletcher for a few days before arranging with work schedules to go over and proceed with buying a new truck. My husband and our son went over and came back just a few hours later with the vehicle of our dreams. Kenny and my husband FaceTimed and called multiple times since I had to be at work the day that we set up to go over and proceed with our purchase. They communicated and included me so much that it felt like I was there. Even after the entire process Kenny checked in days later! It was worth the commute and from now on we will recommend Akins to any and everyone that may be looking to buy. This experience was by far the best out of multiple other vehicle purchases we have made through the years at other dealerships.

If you see something you like at any of the Akins dealerships, RUN AWAY and find yourself a reputable dealer! If I could give no stars and still leave a review, I would have!Akins not only wasted my time and money traveling with the intention to buy that day a CPO RAM 3500 outfitted exactly how I require, they then tried to put me in something significantly less trying to tell me what my needs are - laughably not understanding the capacity and tow ratings of RAM models and how they are affected by choice of options, or trying to put me in the highest of the high trims - who really needs a sunroof in a pickup?The manager I spoke with in the morning assured me the truck I wanted to see was still available, but he was a LIAR! The truck has been sold the DAY before! I traveled 3 hours to get to the dealership to see this truck, extending my trip to Atlanta another day to do so - $50 for flight change fee, $89.68 to extend my rental car, $68.64 for gas, and I opted to sleep in the airport to save the $106 for an extra night at the hotel after Akins duped me!To add insult to injury, the salesman went on to tout the big savings Akins gives to its customers, and how he was certain I could get a better price to order my truck there than in my home state because he claimed to have customers in Pennsylvania... Well, when the rubber met the road Akins wanted nearly $3K more for the exact same build! Yeah, I had the build sheet and contract with me from my local dealer! Come on Akins, some of us are educated and experienced consumers, and we know exactly what the dealer hold-back is! Folks, you can do much better elsewhere unless you enjoy a walk back in time with stereotypical sales tactics!

Their waiting area is superb: a variety of complimentary beverages, comfortable chairs, multiple computers, kids area, well designed bathrooms and more! And a daily dose of Jesus, if you want it!

The first truck I purchased had a defect from the factory. The fantastic staff at Akins drove a better replacement truck to my house and traded it for the original truck, but still charged me the original lower purchase price. Cant say enough good things about Jake Cummings and the Akins staff.

Seriously the best experience I have ever encountered! We were on our way to a funeral and were a while away from home. We had a flat tire with no spare! We had our Jeep towed to Akins and couldnt have been more pleased! They fixed my tire asap and had the best customer service Ive had in a very very long time! They definitely made a rough situation very easy!

This review is for the service department!I give 3 starts because Steven has always been a great help to me, and the crew that is the Facebook of the service department always is friendly and helpful.However, I couldn’t give 5 stars because of the technicians. I have had nasty handprints left on my paint in the past which was frustrating, however this time I had a different issue.Apparently, the technician that worked on my car was blind to the fact that there are cameras on my car, which I checked later on after picking the car up. Upon finishing his work, he drove my car to make sure all was good, which I am fine with. However, there is no need to drive it like a bat out of hell. He drove well over he speedlimit, and he was all over he road. He took a curve and began going on the wrong side with an oncoming car, as well as turning In front of an oncoming car.I PAY FOR THIS CAR. No one is going to treat my hard work like that. It is highly disrespectful. I work hard for what I have, and I don’t appreciate it being treated so poorly. Not to mention it also killed my gas mileage. I don’t see them offering to replace the gas that was wasted by flooring it to speeds above he limit. My daily drive is 50% city 50% highway. I drive fairly carefully to keep my gas mileage at a good place. I had it averaging at about 23.8MPG.When I came back, it was at 21.9MPG, because of the harsh driving.Unless Mr. Technician wants to start paying my car payment and insurance, he should learn to take care of my stuff when I trust them with it.

The last few years we had been using a different dealer for our service needs, but the service advisors had both left. We went back to Akins and have had great service still since we came back. Whenever we need anything concerning sales Katherine Fontinel is the best!

We have an Explorer that we took to Akins before the 36k mile warranty expired so they could order the needed parts (both sun-visors & rubber weatherstrip/molding on side-rear windows). They recommended to leave it there for a day so they could replace the parts. We dropped it off Monday morning @ 7:30AM. Thursday we hadnt heard from the service tech so I called & was told they have been really busy & that it would be ready Friday. Went to pick it up Saturday at noon just to make sure they had enough time, and after waiting 20 mins while we witnessed the service tech stopping at one of the bays to replace the sun-visors, they still had not changed the weatherstripping. SO, 5-1/2 FULL DAYS & they couldnt find an hour to change these warranty items. Wow, what a waist of time.

My family has bought and had their vehicles services here for 15 years. My truck was bought here in 2002 and theyve always worked on it. So when I needed it fixed, I brought it here. I figured Id get it fixed and trade it in for a new truck. I was quoted at $1050 for the repair, but when it came time to pick my truck up the price all of a sudden jumped to $1267 and took two weeks instead of the estimated 3 days. Not only that, the salesman refused to negotiate with me on price for at all. Would just tell me no we cant do that. My experience here has lost Akins not only my business but that of my parents, but my entire family and my friends.Landmark in athens is a much better experience.

I wish I could say I had as good a purchasing experience with this group as in the past, but apparently something has changed.Lets start with their internet ad. The first statement you see is the MSRP, the you save (i.e. discount) and then the FINAL PRICE. Er, that is not the final price. They fail to mention the DOC fee they add to this, and then of course are the taxes. If you search a little further youll find they say there are no cash or financing incentives, but Chrysler will tell you otherwise.In my particular experience, the final price (I guess I should say the final final price) was contingent on financing through Chrysler credit. You would have to ask, if there are no financing incentives, why would that matter? I think the obvious answer to that question is that they will simply keep those incentives for themselves.I believe the so-called you save gives you a false impression that Akins is taking a huge profit cut on these sales, but in reality they are simply not showing you the several factory incentives they will claim. Pretty disingenuous, IMO. I ended up leaving, still looking for a new vehicle.

SERVICE DEPT SUB PARAkins Ford service department continues to disappoint. Scheduled an appointment 3 weeks ago for service on my Jeep (which I bought there as well as the FULL warranty). The day before service scheduled, Im told they dont have any loaner cars and that my vehicle will likely have to be there over night (Drop was scheduled for 230pm on a Friday). More than likely I wouldnt see my car until following week.I request a service date when they can give me a loaner and they tell me 3-4 weeks from now. REALLY!!?? Already went thru this by scheduling 3 weeks ago. Whos to say three weeks from now they wont pull the same no service. To make things even worse, the service call is for a faulty sun-roof thats leaking (and of course its raining). This would be the second time its needing service for the same sun-roof issue that they did not repair properly the first time.Thats some poor service right there.

I live two hours away. I called and spoke with Tino before driving all the way down there. Tino was honest, kind, knowledgeable, down to earth and funny. We had everything worked out on the car I wanted before I got there so the whole process was really pretty fast. I was very pleased with my entire experience from the sales manager who took my first call, to Tino my sales consultant, to Greg the finanace manager. I would definitely go back there! Thank you to all of your staff for a very positive experience!

A bad place to buy a car. Once you buy you will never be able to get anyone on the phone or a call back. Every time you call and ask for a person that works there you will transferred straight to voice mail. I should of checked out the better business bureau before buying.

Bought my car here on 07/31/18 forLeak on my radiatorKnocking on my steering wheel when brakingCame in at 7:30 am about 12:30pm was told my ac condenser was leaking and would be fixed same dayThe service rep forgot about the knocking on the steering,this was written down and stated on my appointment call, was also told when i made the appointment that a rental would be available, none available, had to pay out of pocket cause he didn’t relay to my warranty company they would need to keep my car overnight, came in next day and they was still installing the new condenser and nothing else was checked nor was my warranty contacted. Alot of other people was coming in way after my appointment and with no appointment and getting there cars put on the lift to be checked While i was there at 7:30am but my car sat in the parking lot till about 11am. Absolutely Ridiculous. I guess cause my warranty wasn’t from them i got put at the back of the bus...

After couple mths emailing back and forth to Akins(Frank Sergi) I made the 700 mile round trip to purchase 2015 Wrangler Unlimited, Informed him I was coming, when I arrive it takes over 20 minutes to find him and then he basically says he has no time for me and turns over to another salesman. I show him the Jeep, Long story short-He turns me over to so called Mgr(Jason Mcdaniel) cause of email price. Mgr in short goes around for another 30 minutes and then asks for $700 more, I offer $500 due to dealer add on. He refuses and leaves me with yet another salesman, I come up another $100 and he goes back to Mgr(Used Cars of all things) and about 10 minutes later they both come in and Mgr says he is all in at the $700.This is Memorial Weekend which was 23May and I am a 22 year Veteran and then he says that includes my $500 Military rebate and I was buying the Freedom Edition(Ironic). They basically told me the last two days they had sold enough vehicles and I could leave so I did. They lost sale after all above over $100.00, I went back to my hotel room and found another dealer not far from them and Sunday went over made a deal for same Freedom Edition for $400 less. That dealer was GREAT!I have never in my 57 years had such a terrible experience with a dealer. Veterans and anyone else looking for a vehicle there are too many fine dealers in Georgia to put up with their BS. I suggest Palmer or Hayes CDJR they appreciate vets.
