Wish I could give zero stars... So went in to get simple celtic knot tattoo or something in that nature. Guy acted extremely stressed over simple questions.Talked over and came to a agreement.I looked at some of his work and decided to give him a try. Scheduled a appointment put $40 down deposit. Have a deposit receipt and date written down.Day before appointment no word no drawings no contact. I call the dude acts like he is unaware of anything. Rescheduled appointment due to medical issues. 2nd time comes around for appointment. Same thing he is confused says Im not on the calender. After that I cut my losses and said screw it. I wouldnt feel comfortable with someone tattooing that is this dishonest and unprofessional. Dont waste your time or money at this sleezy place.

I went to get my first tattoo and Mike (lil) was the best. He was mad cool and very caring about my feelings. He talked me through about how this experience was going to go which made me feel so much better. He was gentle and he didnt rush. I am very pleased with my tattoo I will be back next time Im in town

Barry did my first real tattoo 15 years ago and it still looks like I just got it yesterday. The colors are popping like new. Barry is the best artist I have met and I will be seeing him soon. So glad you are still tattooing Barry. See you soon!!!

I love Inkwell. Ive been there many times. Got my first tattoo there many many years ago. Big Mike and Mike are always polite. Everyone is polite, actually. You have to book your appt and pay which is no problem. If youre looking for quality work, check them out.

I got my second tattoo here last week. I have a beautiful forearm design that I am so happy with. The lines of small perfectly straight and clean and it’s healing perfectly! Very satisfied with this visit would recommend 100%

I like there professionalism and how much they charge. Its the best for getting your first tatoo at 18 or 25. I just got simple initials but my artist John did great. I will come back here and reccomend all to go.

Not only did he accept 2 clients at a late point in the evening but he also stayed after hours to clean up and lock up and waited until we left the parking lot before he left himself! A bangAss artist who actually cares about his clients and wants to know or understand your dream design on any idea of a tattoo! I will MOST definitely be coming back again for my next tattoo! Probably the best tattoo shop in Winston Salem. This was the only tattoo shop that did not treat me like I was a spoiled teenage girl. Mike has done all three of my tattoos and I could not have asked for them to look better. He took my ideas and enhanced them so they would make more sense and look elegant.

If I could give an 1/8th of a star I would. I have the man a whole week to draw me up a tattoo and he never got around to it. The artist and the owner both got so agressive about me wanting my deposit back. Dont waste your time.

My husband went to Inkwell he wanted a scorpion on his hand, they told him to come on in they could do it, when we got there he didnt c a pattern he like so the guy said he would free hand one and do it the next day but we had to pay a deposit that was non refundable, the next day when we seen the tattoo my husband said u r not putting that tattoo on me so the guy wanted a second chance, the next dsy he called my husband canceled his appointment never heard from Inkwell again and got screwed out the money
